I never thought things would go this way… No one expected it, no one knows where they came from… But they’re here, and they want us gone. We have become food and that is all we are.

Welcome to They’re Here, a post-apocalyptic RP. In They’re Here you should expect brutal descriptions, blood and gore, and somewhat scary scenes. This RP will require decent writing (at least high school level) and will be multi-paragraph with a minimum of 2 paragraphs per post. This RP will be fast-paced, if you don’t think you can post more than once a week please do not attempt to join. If you do not like some of these things, you don’t have to waste your time reading the story.



In a world completely covered in snow, deadly creatures roam towns and abandoned cities. All buildings are dirty and gross from a lack of cleaning, and wildlife is starting to grow on the walls. Only a few have survived, both humans and animals. Food is dwindling, water is scarce, life is hard. Trust is hard to earn since the creatures can mimic human life, although there is a way to figure out if the person you’re talking to is trying to eat your face or just have a friendly conversation (This will be explained in the lore page I will post if this thread gets attention). So first of all, I will need to explain something. The leader of all the creatures has a sort of ‘radiation’. It isn’t dangerous, but this ‘radiation is what causes the creatures to be able to shapeshift and mimic other living things. This ‘radiation’ greatly affected life. It mutated animals, which most of the time are now bigger or have their skin falling off. As for humans, they were given supernatural abilities. There are the gifted, the cursed, and of course those who do not have any powers. I will explain these powers in the lore. Now that I got that out of the way, back to the story. This will be an adventure RP composed of 10 (if I can get that many) different people traveling for their ultimate survival. The story will be heavily based on your own character development, although there will be a story plot that will be revealed during the story. The lore will go much more in detail, so basically if you like monsters, rogue bandits, and terrible weather conditions then you would be interested in this RP.


Character sheets will be posted if this gets attention, I will be picky about who I pick. It will require a bit of writing since I will be judging your character and your writing skills. I am looking for certain dynamics, so if I don’t accept your character no offense!

Yup you can join! And I am planning for this to be a fast paced Rp so unless people are busy a lot it should be going pretty smooth. The character sheets are linked in the first post, in the CS thread there is a template you can fill out.

How deadly is the campaign? Will I be expected to roll for new characters every once in a while or they're protected by plot armor (within reason)?

Yes, I'm treating this like Dark Souls.

I would appreciate if characters survived for a long time, but there's a given that they will be getting hurt. If you choose to kill your character you can, if you choose not to that's also allowed. You can also add in new characters along the way if you'd like.

if I join can I roleplay as Mico the Shapeshifter? here is a quick bio/desc: Mico is the last shapeshifter from The Shapeshifter Realm (humans cant say the real name) and escaped the realm when The Shadow King destroyed it. She used to be a realm jumper. And she doesn't like to tell anyone she's a shapeshifter, due to many people thinking shapeshifters are evil (like in Among Us, this rp etc). Will that be to op or not good for this rp or something?

I'd be ok with that, just know our characters might freak once they find out cause they'll think she's one of the creatures XD as long as she has some sort of weakness usually I'm fine with sorta op powers

most of the time her weaknesses are: she cant shapeshift while wounded, there are people near her she doesn't want to shapeshift in front of, and sometimes she's just lazy.

That sounds good. The only other thing, keep most of the different realms out of the RP. like they can mention they're from a different realm, we just don't want things coming from their realm or anything as to not interfere with the post-apocalyptic vibe. If you wanted to do anything like that you could talk to me about it in the OOC and we can all decide whether or not we want the RP to turn that direction. I've put up the IC link in the main post finally, so after you make a CS you can join right in
