' Danger ' wasn't something aqua ever cared to worry about. It wasn't ever really on his mind when doing his daily activities. People often called him naive and clueless because of this but he could careless what they thought. Maybe it was because his father was a working knight in the royal guard; he often taught Aqua to be audacious as well as courageous, and to never back away from a fight. His father was one of the more well respected Knights in the royal guard, as well as the most trouble making, so it made sense that his values were like this. He frequently mirrored his fathers actions, which was probably why aqua got into so much trouble.....and probably why he was skipping school with his friends to see the humans sail their boats away.


"Aqua hurry up or we'll miss them!" Yelled his friend Charlie, swimming past him. "Yeah aqua, stop being such a slow-fish!" Laughed Fanny wagging her beautiful pink tail whiched sparkled in the light, in his face before swimming in front of him. Aqua rolled his eyes with a half smile, "Yeah yeah I'm coming" . He swam faster traling behind his two friends. The trio was already under the huge ships at the moment. They never seized to amaze aqua with their tremendous size. They sort of reminded him of whales; at least underneath the ships anyway.


They swam towards the ship dock, making sure to stay low inside the waters. Things never went well when humans saw Mer-people. They either screamed, or tried to capture them and make them into pets. Sometimes, humans even killed them for experiments. Even aqua, as naive as he was, understood some of the dangers that lurked with humans. Although, the danger was probably the reason why he was so fascinated with them. Charlie led them behind a huge rock near the shipping docks. "Now what" Asked aqua, poking his head out from behind the huge rock to watch the human men carrying cargo onto the ship. It was more cargo then usual he realized, some of it looked awfully fancy - like something that would be in King Percy's throne room.


" Now we play" said fanny, a devious smirk forming on her lips. Charlie exchanged nervous glances with aqua before saying, "What do you mean?" "Well" started Fanny, "Let's play a game." She turned her attention to the humans working furiously on the docks, "Whoever can touch a humans weird foot thing without getting caught wins" Again, aqua and charlie exchanged worried looks. Okay, so aqua enjoyed watching humans..but not actually touching them. Those were two completely different things. "I don't think that's a good idea" said charlie, "What happens if they notice huh?" "They won't, They wear clothes on their feet" "Don't you mean shoes?" Corrected Aqua. "Yeah those things. So we're in the clear. So aqua go first"


"Wait wh-" and before he could say a word fanny was pushing him into the open waters. "Don't get caught" she whispered with a laugh, and then disappeared back behind the rock. Aqua rolled his eyes and laughed, she wasn't actually thinking he was going to do this right? He went to go back behind the rock, but before he even could, he saw a group of humans coming towards him. He quickly ducked under the water, fear building in his chest. He watched them under the water, making their way over to the dock. Their feet was only just arms length. He glanced at the rock his friends were hiding behind, and saw Fanny and charlie egging him on. He Gulped then shrugged his fear away. He shouldn't be afraid. He didn't know what fear was. He was a knights son for petes sake. He stealthily came up from under the water, and slowly brought his hand up onto the dock. He waited until the last man past until, he reached out and poked his foot. He was over Joyed at his accomplishment, and almost screamed,.... when he felt a hand Wrap around his wrist. He stood frozen and frightened.

Prince Casper Irvine ep??ode one: ?error on ??e doc?


"I bet rainbows and vanilla." Nancy told Dylan, poking his rib cage. Casper rolled his eyes, tiring of his friends constant bickering about what kind of cake they should make for Mirna and Mike's birthday. Don't get him wrong- he honestly loved his little siblings- but all this talk about the food was starting to get on his last nerve. He for a fact that his younger twin siblings would eat any kind of cake that was given to them. No, they would do much more than that. They would eat anything if there was frosting and sprinkles on it.

"Polka-dots and chocolate. What kind of kid doesn't like chocolate?" Dylan asked Nancy back as they approached a shabby looking dock. The prince sighed at his royal friends' argument. I don't like chocolate. He thought just as the same thing hit his best friend's brain. "Well, other than Casper. But he's a bit on the weird side." Dylan joked, elbowing the young prince's arm. A smirk took hostility on his best friend's face. Nancy and Dylan were obviously finding their argument playful. But, by the look of bitterness on Casper's face all three of them knew he wasn't find this very humorous at all.


"Very funny." Casper groaned, walking down the gravel path that led straight to the wooden dock. He made his way across the grass where the path ended and he took a step onto the creaking wood work while his friends blabbered uselessly behind him. The prince had heard many rumors of mermaids and mermen taking residence in the very ocean below them. Even though Casper had always dismissed it because he believed it to be hogwash, he couldn't help but wonder deep down if such mythical creatures existed. A sigh escaped the blonde's mouth as he realized that he would probably never get the honor of meeting such of a wonderful creature. Slowly he headed to the edge of the wooden platform.


Dylan and Nancy's debate lowered in volume as they came into common ground, deciding to rainbow polka-dots with vanilla and chocolate mixed cake. Casper found it hilarious that his friends had taken responsibility of providing a proper baked good when neither of them ever really chatted with his younger siblings. The mere thought caused a smile to appear on the prince's face.

Cas decided to walk to the edge as far as he could, as close as he could reach to the water. His eyes came on point with a small ripple that was gradually getting bigger and bigger. The blonde's aqua eyes came onto point with the ripples, gasping when a hand stuck out. To his shock, the hand poked his foot before attempting to go back under. This was his chance. Casper got onto his hands and knees and put a hand on the mermaid or merman. "I'm not going to hurt you.." He whispered to the creature.

Haha, no. It's alright. The title is good and I don't mind the length of the post. I usually write that size, take some leave some.

Aqua froze in place like a deer in headlights. His fear pumping all throughout his body. It was taking all his might not to puke. He'd never been this close to a human before,and quite frankly, he wasn't sure if he even wanted to be. Still, he couldn't move, it was like fear had gripped his entire body, and made him stay in place. He felt like such a scardy-fish, and he was repulsed by how he was feeling now, but he couldn't help it. He didn't even move when the human attempted to calm his panic. Yeah right he thought, That's what all the humans say before they dive into their prey.


He looked back at his friends who were already swimming away. He cursed them in his mind. That's fucking great. Now he was caught and friendless. He looked to the human, and scanned him. He looked about his age, with blonde, and sky blue eyes. He looked much more attractive then the usual human men he was used to seeing at the docks....Wait! Why was he thinking about this? Who cares if this guy was pretty good looking, he had to get away..he had to get away..he had to...


Aqua's head began to feel quite dizzy. It was probably his fear again. But this time he felt really ill. All of a sudden the light was dimming from his eyes, and everything went dark. ....Of course he had to faint at this moment. Well at least he wouldn't be awake when they started to mutilate him...

Prince Casper Irvine ep??ode one: ?error on ??e doc?

Casper observed the mystical creature. It really was fascinating and a beauty for the eye. Were all mermen and mermaids this beautiful? He wondered, so mesmerized by the looks that he didn't even realize the shock or fear in the creature's eyes. "Wow...." He whispered, scanning over the boy, his own eyes wide in shock and wonder. "This... is awesome...."

Before he could do anything else, he was cut off by the sounds of Dylan and Nancy approaching. "Hey, guys... can you head back? I want to be alone for a little." The prince could tell by the looks on his friends' faces that they were frazzled by him asking that, but they didn't question it. Recently Casper had been asking for alone time considering all the pressure he was under being the first born son in the royal family. His father expected him to grow up and be the next king in their palace even though Casper didn't want to be.

Once his friends were gone, he turned back to face the merman. His eyes widened in shock as he realized the creature had fainted. "Oh no..." Casper whispered, picking up the merman and throwing him over his shoulders. He ran back the dock and towards the sandy beach. He laid the merman's bottom half in the ocean while he let the merman's chest lay on his lap. The prince ran a hand through the unconscious creature's hair, making sure that they were all alone. "Are you alright?"

He softly nudged the creature in an attempt to wake him up.

Oh that feels nice. He thought as he felt a hand brush his hair. It kind of reminded him of how his mother used to do it when he was younger, whenever he got scared or frightened from a bad dream. He loved her warmth, her touch, the way she would hum while she did it. It was her favorite memory of her. When she died due to illness, it was the only thing that he had of her. He wondered if this was her again , by some miraculous way of the Gods. Maybe she came back to save him from the humans.


He slowly opened his eyes, a small latent smile appearing on his features, "Mama?" He said softly. A face finally came to view into his sight, and was finally able to see the features of whoever was brushing his hair...and it was definitely not his mother. His sea blue eyes stared down at him, and aqua almost got lost in them for a second. They kind of reminded him of the ocean. He snapped himself out of the trance though, and quickly sat straight up, which unfortunately made him bump heads with the strange human. He bumped back into his lap, and held his head "Ow" he said holding his head. Now on top of being scared now he felt embarrassed. For bumping his head and calling this guy his mother. That's great.


"Um uh..." He looked at the human, "Are you okay? I'm such an idiot. " Despite being scared of him, he felt bad about bumping him like that.

Casper's eyes had traveled to the ocean, his mind moving - swaying- with the waves that rippled the sea. He kept on combing through the merman's hair, imagining his younger self. In his mind he could see a small blonde boy, running through the waves with a huge grin on his face. It brought back countless memories- all of which that brought a small smile on his lips. The prince couldn't help but think of how quickly time honestly flew by. One second you're on the beach celebrating your ninth birthday and the next you're holding a creature on your lap.

He furrowed his eyebrows when he heard someone call for their mother. Casper looked down, realizing that it was the merman that was making the nose. The sound made his heart wrench, knowing that he was probably the one keeping the boy away from his family. The prince hesitated, trying to decide if he wanted to push him back into the water or not.


His eyes widened when the boy opened his eyes, leaving them to stare at each other. The prince's heart sped up because he was worried that the handsome creature would run away. Just as he had feared, the merman sat up but was only denied escape when they bumped heads. The prince cussed, holding his forehead with his left hand, glancing down as the merman fell back into his lap. "Y-you can talk?" He asked in shock, rubbing his forehead to rid the slight stinging pain from appearing. "Wait..."


"I'm fine... are you?" Casper asked softly, giving him a small but anxious smile. "Are you really a merman? That's cool.... but don't be afraid of me." He whispered. "I'm not going to hurt you. I promise. I felt so bad when you fainted so I quickly brought you back into the water and tended to you.." The prince told him. "What's your name?"


"Mine's Casper." He told him, purposely leaving out the fact that he was a prince.

'I'm fine really' He said bashfully, still pretty embarrassed at his sudden outburst, although he tried not to show it through his features. His eyes kept dotting everywhere besides the human's face when he answered the blonde, apparently known as casper, questions. He felt really weird still being in the princes lap like this, although it wasn't to say that he didn't enjoy it slightly. He still felt pretty light headed, and his lap was quite comforting in all honesty. Aqua wasn't as afraid of him as he was before, now that he realized he didn't seem like he was going to hurt him. Still, he was still a bit iffy. His father taught him to always to keep up his guard; "The times you feel the safest are the times you are most vulnerable" He always preached.


Although, looking at the boy, he clearly looked worried for for the young merman. Maybe he wasn't going to hurt him? "Thanks for saving me" He said, slowing getting up, making sure not to bump heads with him again. He set himself sitting next to the prince, stretching his arms a bit.


"My name's Aqua" He said raising a brow, "You're not...um afraid of me? Most humans tend to scream first. Sometimes worse."


He analyzed his surroundings, and realized he didn't recognize this part of the beach. He slightly panicked, and looked to Casper, distress clearly creeping in his voice, "Where am I?"

The prince's eyes fell on the merman's tail as the boy got adjusted and comfortable with telling him his name. Casper, honestly, wasn't sure what reaction to expect from the creature. Personally he thought he had blabbered on for too long. The prince let out a breath he didn't know he was holding as the mysterious boy thanked him. "No, it wasn't an issue in the least." He said even though it did bring up a little bit of a stir. The blonde watched as the merman slowly got from his lap and sat down next to him on the sand.

Aqua? Well, I guess that makes sense considering he's a merman. Casper smiled, fancying Aqua's name already. "Well, Aqua- I'm not afraid of you. My mother and father told me stories about wonderful creatures like you that sailed the seas of this very shore. I was a little shocked when I saw you, but when you fainted I became genuinely worried." He said honestly with a small chuckle. "And the humans that do 'worse' probably are just shocked to find out that this world actually does have mythical and beautiful items in it." The prince told him with a small bit of laughter but instantly his smile turned into a frown when Aqua asked where they were located. Of course he wouldn't know where they were. Casper had decided to take them to a special side of the beach.

"It's my father's reserved part of the beach. That's why nobody other than us is here. Don't fret, Aqua. It's basically like a private beach. It won't hurt you to stay here." Casper told him with a small smile as he brushed a piece of hair out of his own face. His eyes slowly trailed back to the rhythm of the waves that seemed oddly mesmerizing.

"The dock is down on the other side of the beach. I promise." The prince told the merman, his blue eyes fixed on the ocean.
