Fandom The Zodiac Curse

Ash nodded and looked to the hunters. The hunters shrugged but nodded and let the three children pass, Ash carrying Daisy and Yuki in his arms, the kid staggering a bit. They reached their parents room and Ash set both his sisters down before knocking on the door. "Mama?" Ash asked. But all he could hear were his mother's cries and angry broken screams of pain through the door. Ash whined and opened the door before walking inside. @Zeldafangirl
 
yuki just whined a little while in her brother arms sshe saw her mom hurt ans crying" mama?" she asked in pain
 
Ash walked over to Enya who was staring dully at a small bundle of fur on the bed by her. "Mama?" Ash asked only to cringe as his mother whirled on him with bared fangs. "Mama where Pine? Where daddy?" Ash asked.


"Daddy?" Daisy asked as she looked around for her father.


"P...Pine...d..de...dad. Pine's...dead," Enya said when she registered her other three children in the room.


"Brother die?" Daisy asked crying. Enya nodded sadly.


"Mama how Pine die?" Ash asked.


"Ry...your...fa...fat...ther...k...ki...kil...killed...him...acc...i..dent," Enya stammered. Ash and Daisy before collapsed as they heard their father had killed their brother.


"Why daddy kill Pine?" Daisy asked.


"He was upset. He didn't mean to kill Pine. I don't think so. The ram threatened your father and it made him angry," Enya said. "I...its...my..fault too. I...I...did...didn't...know," Enya stammered before bursting into sobs again. @Zeldafangirl
 
yuki yelped iin pain when her brother hit the floor she cried for her little brotther she waas scared and had sadness yyuki try to move yelping in pain
 
Enya didn't acknowledge Yuki but picked up Pine by his neck and carried him out of the room, leaving the other cubs there and made her way through the base. Pine had to be buried before he rotted but how could she bury him when that damn ram resurrect her baby again? Ash looked hopelessly at Yuki and Daisy and tried to comfort them as they were left in the room. @Zeldafangirl


Rylic stopped the horse and dismounted, leading it over to a tree and tying its reins to a branch as he dropped to the ground beside the animal, his eyes going to his son who he had killed...accidentally of course...but killed due to his rage. He put his head in his hands as he let out a scream of pain, his son's body flashing through his mind. This was the second time Pine had died and Rylic didn't have any hope to think his son would miraculously come back. Rylic had been forced to wait for Enya to get pregnant with Pine and Zodiac after losing their son. It had been five months since he had found his girl, seven months since Ash and Yuki had been born. So he wasn't sure if pregnancy worked differently for zodiacs or not.
 
Enya left the base and looked around in a daze as tears fell onto the ground. Slowly...dazedly...Enya stumbled from the base, wandering into the forest and searching for somewhere to dispose of Pine's body. After trying to protect him, he had died. Everyone had died except for Daisy. Yet she couldn't risk that damn ram digging her son up again and bring him back to life. Enya closed her eyes. There were too ways to prevent that from happening...eat Pine's corpse...or give him a funeral of kings and burn him to ash....


Rylic closed his eyes before anger engulfed him and guilt washed over him. He stared up at the tree canopy above him, lost in thought and grief. Maybe it was better for him to go on another hunting trip for a while. Separate for a while and give Enya time to decide what she wanted to do.
 
Enya reached a cliff after walking many miles and set Pine's body down. She pulled out a matchbox and set it on the ground before going to make a makeshift funeral pyre for Pine. Enya came back and hashed together a pyre made of vines and wood before placing Pine's body on it carefully. That was when Rylic showed up and stared at Pine's body lying on the makeshift pyre. Enya had shifted into her human form when she had reached the cliff. "So you'll send him away in fire and ash, for his spirit to float on the winds?" Rylic questioned as he walked over to Pine and placed a hand on the cub's lifeless body.


"It's the only way to make sure that the dragon's brother and the ram don't fuck our lives over again," Enya snarled though Rylic could see his girl's anger wasn't directed at him. Not fully anyway. "Or eat him and I can't do that. This way he'll never be touched again by anybody."


Rylic flinched but nodded. "Yes...perhaps this is best...give him a funeral for a king. It's no less than he deserves after everything he's been through in his short life. You realize that Daisy is the only child we have left that has not died?"


"Yes," Enya hissed, placing a hand on Pine's body as well. "What the hell did you kill him for Rylic?"


"I didn't willingly kill him! It was an accident. I didn't know he was hidden in your fur," Rylic snapped as his hand shot out and grabbed the back of Enya's neck, squeezing it and causing her to drop to her knees on the ground. "I'd never willingly hurt my children. Not after what I had to grow up with as a child."


Enya whimpered as Rylic tightened his grip on her neck in warning...a warning not to anger him when he was already angry and grieving...before letting her go. He bent to pick up the matchbox Enya had dropped and stared sadly at Pine as he removed a match and struck it against the box. "This is the only way we can protect you in death Squirt," Rylic said as he stared at the burning match he was holding before flicking it on the grass Enya had ripped up on fire, the flames licking slowly towards the small motionless body. Enya rubbed her neck and stood as Rylic offered no comfort to her...just staring as the smoke began to rise in what would be Pine's fire tomb....
 
A liger came from behind them "i smell a grieveing queen..." his meow rumbled he was a magnificent beast, a white thick mane and a big body with black and a few oarange stripes "the cub is with starclan now." he mewed softly, sitting behind the grieving crushers.
 
"What the heck is that?" Rylic asked as the parents turned around to see the liger.


"It's a liger. A cross between a lion and a tiger," Enya said. "Really you've never seen one before oh mighty hunter?"


Rylic glared at Enya. "No for your information. I've never had the pleasure of hunting one before."


"Who are you and what is this Starclan?" Enya questioned, a slight growl to her words that was cut off by Rylic gripping her shoulder in warning. @GoldenCharizard4
 
"unhand the girl." the liger growled "and starclan is like your crusher's lord." the liger stayed sitting "unhand her before i take you down." he meowed, his tail flopping lazily behind him.
 
"I would suggest you leave," Rylic snapped irritably, gripping Enya's shoulder harder to add another bruise on top of the one other one.


Enya winched in pain as Rylic stared at the liger before he huffed and let her go. "Don't tell me how to treat my girl cat," Rylic said.


"Rylic just go. I can't deal with you at the moment."


"And why is that?"


"Because you killed him! You killed Pine, even if it was an accident you still killed him!"


"Well maybe you shouldn't have broken our agreement when I got you pregnant with Ash and Yuki about making the godparents with my children without asking me and us coming to a decision!"


"I told you I forgot! Alright?! I.FORGOT.ABOUT.OUR.DECISION! Just...go the fuck away Rylic!"


Rylic turned back to the flames that by now had consumed Pine's body. "Perhaps that is for the best then for me to leave for a while," Rylic said as he watched his son's body burn. Only this time Pine wouldn't be coming back. Turning he grabbed the horse's reins and mounted the horse before turning it away from the cliff, Enya and the burning Pine. "I'll be gone by the time you get back," he said. "You won't to look at a murderer anymore." The horse snorted and galloped off as its reins were snapped and Enya was left alone with the liger and the inferno behind her. She watched Rylic leave with anger in her eyes before turning back to the funeral pyre.


"What do you mean by crusher?" Enya questioned emotionesly. "And how did you come to be here?" Her voice had lost all sadness, anger and other emotion as she stared transfixed into the flames. Rather her voice was dead as she stood there with silent tears coming down her face and felt like her heart was breaking for the loss of her third child. Pine hadn't deserved the short life he had but at least, she hoped, he was in a place with no rats to scare him and he'd be with his grandmother. @GoldenCharizard4
 
Yuki just cried how could she save jacob when she was like this she put a hand over her mouthh why did her dad kill her brother she just cried
 
Rylic reached the base and dismounted the horse, leaving it ground-tied as he walked inside. He made his way up to his and Enya's room, stripping off the sheet that had Pine's blood and bundled up into a bag. Rummaging in the closet he pulled out a fresh sheet and threw it on the bed before looking to see his other children there. "Tell your mother to put the new sheet on," he said to them.


"Daddy go?" Daisy asked.


Rylic grabbed a bag and began packing some clothing into it, not looking at Daisy, Ash or Yuki. "Yes Flower I'm going," Rylic said. "Your mother doesn't want me around anymore. This should give her time to settle down and allow her to figure out if she's going to stay with a murderer or leave."


"Daddy don't go!" Ash cried getting up and running towards his father.


"I have too Ash or your mother might just kill me for staying here. Look after your sisters and mother," he said to his son.


Ash sniffed and nodded. "Daisy listen to Ash and your mother."


Daisy cried but nodded. "Yuki...stay away from the zodiac animals. In fact all of you stay away from the zodiac animals except your mother obviously. If they come near you, then scream for help or run." Rylic continued to pack, allowing his children to talk or walk away from him. They probably didn't even want him here anymore either. @Zeldafangirl
 
yuki just sniffed" no dada don't leave" she say hiccuping as she say" what about asthma you say medicine and inhealer" she say
 
Rylic stopped packing his clothes and looked to Yuki. "My being here will make everything worse for you, Enya and your siblings Princess," Rylic said. "But...I did say I would take you to get medicine and an inhaler." He seemed thoughtful as he stared unseeingly at his three living children...well two resurrected and one who had not died. "I told your mother I would be gone when she got back," Rylic said. @Zeldafangirl
 
yuki just look at her dad as she frowned as she didn't say anything as she held onto her brother not sure what to do" jake" she say questioning him
 
Rylic glared furiously at Jakob for still being here and still not dying before turning his back on the brat and continued packing. "Sorry Princess but it is better if I leave for a while," he said. "I don't think Enya would allow me to stay in her grief at the moment."


Ash watched his father talk of leaving them. "Daddy sad?"


Rylic paused before deciding not to answer that question. "I suppose I can stay the night and take you tomorrow morning to get your medicine Princess but after that I cannot stay here for a while," Rylic said. @Zeldafangirl @NightCasterZ
