Bellatrix has literally no quarrel with letting him preform the rites. His idea, he leads. Also, what is hos core doing with her magic? o-o

She's using dark magic, right? Raising the dead, all that stuff. I believe that the energies of the earth, one of life, are quite the antithesis of dark magic, one of death. So they resonate with one another, kind of repelling them.
I don't think the world is happy with a walking contradiction to life, but if you disagree, I can change it! Just wanted to add more fluff to his magic heart thingy

If you wanted to classify it..yes. Since her soul isn't really..cleansed..and her tyrant nature of over a thousand years added to it..it would feel very much like dark magic. I have no problem with it actually, its a cool touch c: But you know what they say about Life and Death c;

One of the first interactions I thought of between Diana and him if Arkos had gone with Bellatrix would have been him asking her not so subtly if she had any theories on if they could ever have a sexual relationship if the two had ever crossed that line before ^-^;;;;
("the two" being Bellatrix and Arkos, just casually assuming those two are into that kind of stuff)
