Ava nodded, picked out a few shirts and pants. "Thank you." She said.

"Do you have a phone," Kevin asked curiously. Smiling gently, he looked at her he wanted her to be able to contact him if she needed to.

"No but its okay I don't need one." She said not wanting him to spend money on her.

 

[kevinhdobson]

"Okay," Kevin said as he drove the care to his home. Walking inside, he showed her the room she would be sleeping in. Then he went to the kitchen and grabbed a can of root beer.

Ava sat her stuff on the bed in her room. She came back out from her room and sat down on a couch.

"The remote's in front of you if you wanna watch TV. I'm going to check on my job offers," Kevin said before walking into the cellar. Flipping on the computer, he looked at the jobs looking at the oldest offer and sighed.

Ava took the remote and turned the TV on, the movie Jeepers Creepers was on. She sat back and watched it.

Kevin printed out the jobs and sighed to himself, he had just got back. Now he had to go out again. Walking back upstairs he said, "Ava, I need to go. Duty has called. There's food and drinks in the fridge. I hope you can take care of the house while i'm gone."


Kevin grabbed his keys and kissed her cheek before leaving. Getting in his car, Kevin went to the location of the oldest job offer.

Ava sighed and decided to explore around the house a bit.

Kevin began to run through his jobs almost too easily. Sighing he said, "I'm too strong for these jobs."

Ava finished looking around and went back and laid down on the couch watching the rest of the movie. Soon she had fallen asleep.

Kevin returned from the jobs at one in the morning. Seeing Ava, he turned off the TV and picked her up gently. Laying her on the bed, he covered her up and kissed her before going to his own bedroom. Changing into his pajamas, Kevin thought about her. Laying on his bed, he fell asleep.

Ava rolled over waking up in the middle of the night. It took her a moment to figure out where she was at then she remembered the events from the day before.

Kevin continued to sleep soundly.

She sighed staring up at the ceiling. She was so tired but found it hard to sleep.

Kevin got up and walked into the kitchen. Grabbing a glass and his gallon of milk, he poured himself a cup. Drinking it he said, "What do I do now?"

Ava covered her head up and finally fell back asleep.

Kevin finished his milk and saw that it was 6am. Smiling he began to make breakfast for Ava.

Ava continued to sleep dreaming about what her life used to be like before her parents were killed.

As he continued to make breakfast, Kevin thought about being more with Ava. He had kissed her lips gently while she was sleeping the night before.

Ava was sound asleep, the first real sleep she had had in ages.

Kevin finished making breakfast and put it on a tray to bring it to Ava.

Ava heard someone at her door she sat up slowly smiling seeing Kevin there.

 

[kevinhdobson]

"Good morning beautiful. I hope you're hungry," Kevin said as he set the tray on her lap. Smiling he added, "For future reference, if you feel tired you should lay in your bed."

"Thank you." She said, "It smells amazing."
