The blizzard doesn't seem like it's gonna end anytime soon.
"Alright, i'll distract them. You slowly walk away." Lyra nods and slowly backs off. Noah rips one of the loaves of bread in half and tosses it at the two Woof-lfs. The immediately start munching on it. Surprisingly, they were willing to share it as they tore it in half and started making muffled barks of contentedness.
As Noah starts walking away, it almost looks like one of the Woof-lfs was thinking of following, but it just started sniffing the snow for more crumbs.

"So, what's with those magical attacks that I see all you knights using? It's usually difficult for humans to learn magic."
"It's called 'The Gift'. It allows us to create magical swords with sword swings."
"How'd you know you had the gift?"
"I didn't know I did for a long time. Back then I used to be a hunter who slayed beasts for money and food. I got confused one day when I somehow cooked an Alpha Woof-lf with a knife swing."

"How about you? What do you do for a living?"
"Not much... I just hung around at the volcanic regions a lot, like -all- the other succubi. And then when I was minding my own business, I suddenly got teleported into a human's house! It was Professor Cosmo, who had attempted to modify some teleportation spell of a wizard to bring him a thing, but it didn't seem to work right."
"What happened after that?"
"He was able to contact my mother and apologize to her, and I was sent home. But I wanted to see some more of that cool science stuff, so I got an escort to take me back to the city so I could learn all this cool stuff from the professor!"

Within a few minutes, they've reached the river. It's covered by a layer of ice, though the thickness can't really be determined.
Lyra crouches down in front of it, and reaches out with her protected hand to check the ice. There was some sort of cracking noise, though no actual cracks actually appeared. "Umm... I don't think this is as safe as you said it was."
"Maybe so, but we don't know for sure." Noah rubbed his ears a little, as they were starting to become really cold. "There's also the fact that we traveled this far, and the bridge is really far away."
-Noah will cross first, in case the ice is unstable.
-Lyra will cross first, because she is lighter.
-Ask Lyra to make an attempt to fly over the river with her tiny wings.
-Stomp on the edge of the river to test it's durability.
