The Wild Side

Loki lowers to the floor, turns back and says, "must be these tiny eyes. my normal eyes are better anyway."
 
You still are visible, and you see a room with a table, and Ronnie’s wand is in it
 
Loki grabs the wand so if he finds Ronnie he can give it to him. he begins checking all the nearby rooms, unaware that the camoflauge didn't work.
 
You can’t hit it. There’s multiple dozens of animals, are you sure you want to attack?
 
(I'm sure I don't. but loki is in a blind rage. it's what he would want.)
Loki grows to 3x his size to scare the animals away, or at the very least punt them into the stratosphere. he is now as tall as a giraffe.
 
Hakrum goes to the pantry. "Cerralei, Ronnie's been taken, somehow. But you stay here."

Cerralei pouts for a second, then does a salute. "On it!"

Then Hakrum goes out to follow Loki. Having reached a good distance (let's say the point where the bears would be just visible and distinguishable) away from the same building he went to, he thinks frantically. What the heck can I do against half a dozen bears??? He could perhaps use the spell to turn them back into humans, but it would presumably also leave them defenseless to the other bears.

But if he isolated them... No, considering there were six, it didn't seem likely that he could get it so one was a safe distance from the others.

So the best thing he could do right now was use offensive magic. He still couldn't really stomach them dying, as these were humans, and innocent, but it was at the least more merciful than turning them back into humans first.

He crouches down as low as he can and casts Fire Bolt at one.
 
Loki does not intimidate them. One attempts to pounce at you.

You knock it to the ground, injuring it. The others look in your direction and growl
 
Henry expected this. He shoots the same spell at another one.
 
This one is badly injured. Another starts running at you
 
Henry uses the same spell on the one running.
 
It hits, singing the beat, but it doesn’t fall. The other three start following
 
He does the same for another. He'll keep doing this until one of them is within 20 feet or so of him.
