Realistic or Modern The Welfare and Rehabilitation Island of Greenland (WRIG)

Approximately a hundred kilometres off the coast of Greenland is an island which was supposed to be a paradise asylum for the mentally ill. A place where their families could send them in hopes that they would return to them with their sanity intact. After a few years of activity, the owner of the facility signed a contract with the government in which the worlds’ criminally insane would be sent there along with the discarded teenagers of families who could not handle them and uniquely powered individuals whom have been driven insane for numerous reasons. Due to the destructive, freakish and unpredictable nature of the facility’s patients, most of the staff have become corrupted due to their fear of the patients and in turn abuse and mistreat patients. The island has been forgotten by the world and since all the food is grown on the island itself the only reason for any ships or helicopters to come to the island is to drop off new patients for captivity making the island inescapable.

State of the art security measures have been implemented to contain all patients.
​

To prevent individuals with the ability to phase or walk through walls the outer walls of the buildings are double layered to ensure no one can leave the buildings. This has been done to the doors and windows as well. All Guards are equipped with high powered Tazer batons and hand guns to be prepared for all situations.
​

Patient cells have been fortified with reinforced steel doors, window frames and window bars. There are two guards stationed in every hallway throughout the buildings.
​

The outside courtyards have electrified eight-meter-tall fences and electrified fence roofing to prevent any patients with the ability to fly from escaping.

She hidd there from police and poeple who hunt the powered. living on the streets and having to steal and fight for food worsened the bad state of mind she got from killing her parents. After 2 years she developed a very severe case of depression that drove her to insanity. 6 Months after her 18th birthday she snapped after being caught stealing and she went on a rampage killing 13 people and hospitalising many more. she was subdued and knocked unconsious after 2 hours and brought to the WRIG

Lisette shrieked and flailed as Doctor Ingrid strapped her to a table. 
"You can't do this! You can't you can't you can't!" Her voice pitched higher and higher as he calmly tightened the straps. She closed her mouth before mouthing a few words. 


As Doctor Ingrid leaned closer, she gathered up a mouthful of spit. She smiled sweetly before spattering the thick, blood-red liquid over his face and white coat. 


She smiled broadly as he wiped the spit from his face. 


"My brother is here to take me away now..." She sang happily as a nurse stepped into the room. 


"I'm sorry to cut your experiment short, Doctor, but she's right. Lisette's brother is here." 


Doctor Ingrid scowled and undid the straps. Lisette bounced up and kissed his cheek before whispering, "Lucky, lucky me. I'm glad you understand the power my brother has." 
She patted his chest lightly before skipping out of the room, reminding her brother of a gazelle as she bounded up to him, her arms wrapping around his waist. 


"I've missed you, brother dear," she giggled, her voice high-itched and squeaky. 


Michael pushed her away, and held her at arms length. 
"Did he hurt you?" 


"Nope!" She pouted slightly. "You ruined all the fun, big brother." 


Michael shook his head in disbelief. "Just... just go to lunch already." 
Lisette smiled and grabbed her brother's hand, towing him into the cafeteria. She shrieked happily as she saw the other patients.

Kaiden had finally broken out of his room and was currently tearing through the halls at top speed, laughing like a maniac. He hadn't been freed from his room all day, and had a lot of pent up energy to waste.


He seemed to be a little pale, as if he were getting sick or something, but he clearly wasn't keen on the idea of resting. He'd spent all the time locked up in his room pacing anxiously, clawing at his face and wrists in a vain attempt to gain attention.


His mind raced from thought to thought as he bolted downstairs to the cafeteria, not at all looking where he was going. He crashed right into Michael, ricocheting off of him and tumbling to the floor. He yelped in surprise, clutching his shoulder which had hit the floor with painful force. The little eight-year-old didn't apologize or anything; as a matter of fact he looked almost angry at Michael, his gaze shifting from Michael to Lisette before glaring long and hard at Michael. Just then, he let out a sharp gasp and curled into a ball, still cradling his shoulder, which probably wasn't injured that badly. He always made a big deal out of being in pain.

Lisette shrieked and waved her hands at her brother, before leaning down and lifting Kaiden up. 
"Kai-kai, are you okay?" She pulled him close to her chest, cradling him gently.

"Fuck! i swear if that lousy board of directors had listened to me i'd be elbow deep in her blood right now!" Dr. Ingrid shouted as the girl left the operating room.


After the nurses had cleaned and prepped the room again for tomorrow morning Dr. ingrid made a call to the board.


When his call had reached its end Dr. ingrid put his phone back in his pocket and smiled a smile that the patients feared and he knew it. He made his way to his office and as he arrived he gripped the intercom and decided to make a pleasant announcement. "Dear patients and faculty i've just had a very pleasant discussion with the board and i'd like to announce some good news. " Dr. Ingrid made a face that he only made when he was profoundly happy. "I've arranged for all communications to be cut off from the island so there won't be anymore last minute rescues. That'll be all." Dr. ingrid then laughed frantically into the mic and ended the announcement. @PrincessIvy

Scarlet had just entered from the courtyard when she heard a loud crash and some pleasant sounding laughing so she decided to investigate. Her wings began sprouting, one by one the elongated peices of glass tore through the skin of her back and she groaned at the agony, the pleasure. Then she took off with blinding speed flying through the hallways of the highrise roof away from the reach of anyone who might detain her, not that they would try all the staff here feared her. when she arived at the cause of the noise she smiled faintly at the familiar faces befor her and landed not caring to sheathe her weapon like wings. "Hey everyone. Sounds like a party over here and you Kai look like you are having the most fun." She crouched down to look at Kai in lissetes arms and started counting. " One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight." as she spoke the last number she heard what she had been waiting for. Tazers. @PrincessIvy @-Oliver

"Go I'll keep them buzy!" she shouted after the two of them then turned her attention to the guards. "Hello boys. Are we gonna play a ga..." before she had a chance to finish one of the guards lunged at her and tazed her right in the stomach and she loved it. "hahahahaha yeeeaaahh you like to play dirty. I can respect that." she swung her wing around and threw the man across the hall into the wall with one hit. She then shot a piece of glass 1 inch from each of their feet and they all jumped back. "We are done here." she commanded and walked toward the others.
