*Story*
A nuclear war has left the world in ruins. Billions of people were killed, leaving whole countries decimated. These characters are two of the many scavengers in the world, trying to survive.
It was another blazing hot day in Oklahoma. The grass and soil was long gone, not buy dust and dry earth remained. James was sitting on the hood of his '69 Dodge Challenger. Its deep red paint job shone in the shadow of the garage. He lived in an old home home adjoined to a gas station. It wasn't ideal, but it provided fuel. And whoever owned it previously built a bunker beneath the station. Likely for tornadoes.
James slaps the dust from his old jeans, hopping onto the ground. He lifts his wide-bimmed hat from his head, scratching the back of his neck. The man pops open his shirt another button, before heading inside the small house.
