@Clockwork Syringe Gone through two and a half handles of Kraken with two other guys before... I don't get hangovers. If it is mixed drinks, I puke once in the morning (all that soda) then I am fine the rest of the day.

@Angelostar4 Then yeah, feel free to use the ancient civ in Ostleim. People attempt to go there all the time to plunder the ruins, so it would make sense for that necklace to be circling around.

So how would this sound for history, you can change this at your leisure.


The character's father is a treasure hunter, he had explored many places that werr filled to the brim with traps and the like. The reason as to why he goes out treasure hunting, is that he needs money to support him and his child, since he doesn't have a job. It's also the fact that he explore the ruins to forget about the passing of his wife. So one day the character's 8th birthday was coming up, and the father wanted to give them something special. So, he promised that he'll give the character one of the many treasures from his adventures. His next target, the ancient civilization of Ostleim. He heard that many have tried to plunder it's ruins... and has escape with their lives in tact. But they know that their was a lady in white in those ruins, but that didn't matter to him He was willing to go inside those ruins regardless of it's dangers, and get any treasures that from it's depth. Exploring the ruins wasn't an easy feat, since it was crawling with traps, and it was rather dark. Not to mention that it's crawling with monsters, spirits, and the possibility that the lady in white could strike at any moment. But that wouldn't stop him from escaping the place alive with treasure, and to see his wonderful child again. After some exploration, and getting harmed by some of the traps inside like hidden arrows and such, he discover a blue crystal necklace in a room covered in vines and moss. The necklace itself was so stunning and beautiful... he had collected some of the treasures from the ruins for him to sell, but this... this would make the perfect gift for the child. With haste, he takes the necklace from it's resting place.

(Also by the way, i'm enjoying this to the fullest right now.)

@Angelostar4 While there likely are traps and what not, that isn't why it is so dangerous, more of the spirits/ghost and monsters that dwell within the marshes that makes it perilous. Also, people have come back alive. Only the ones who see the Lady in White die.

@Ami the breadling Ahhh, I know people love the Witcher, but I have never been able to get into it. I think the world is nice, I think the side-characters are neat and the monsters are pretty cool, but I just don't like Geralt... so.. I can't get into them. I have tried the first and second, but just... not for me.
