Misalignment Factor - (As stated before, certain people seem to misalign with reality in various ways. Whether by choice, or not. Because of the illogical nature of this trait, these people have become known as Fallacies. It is due to this unnaturalness, that while they may suffer specific inconveniences to their normal life, they are resistant to anomalic entities and their effects.

The 'Factor' determines the severity of this condition, as well as an indicator of threat level. This is also the common scale used to grade all severity of paranormal effects.

Factor 1 - Most characters will more than likely start in this range. If you wish to make one at a higher range, you would need to ask me first. Highly conditional, and the most common. These fallacies will only trigger when certain parameters are met, and are the most self-contained in effect. Although their manifestation is highly contingent, it beholds the user to find creative uses for their supernatural peculiarities.​

Factor 2 - Like most of the factors, retains its highly conditional nature. The main difference and what puts it at a higher level than the first, is the potential for collateral. If not careful, those in this category may cause serious injury or harm to people, intentional or not.​

Factor 3 - These are considered highly dangerous, a threat not only to themselves but to an area at large around them. Their erratic supernatural power, if left completely unchecked, may cause drastic damage and misalignments to the world. Thus, these subjects require immediate containment procedures.​

Their nature of being on the spectrum of both Aligned and Misaligned reality, also allows a Fallacy to handle Misaligned objects without being outright dominated. These are items, places, and people, who have been altered by paranormal forces. Often possessing vestiges of individuality, they often resist and try to combat foreign invaders in various ways, with some even possessing their own intents and goals. But do not mistake their resistance to paranormal effects with immunity. Some have been seduced by their own pride before.

Realignments are Misaligned Objects that have been acquired, their unnatural powers used as tools for various occultic societies.)​

While the BPA is known to be strict in regard to possession of misaligned objects, because of the unique relationship between the two organizations, the Wallflower Agency is granted clearance of objects otherwise restricted.

Age: Unknown, appears to be in his mid-twenties.
Misalignment Factor: 2
The full extent of his abilities seems unclear, however the are a few defined rules that have been observed by our team. The fallacies revolving around him all seem to include a singular theme of objects, though the object itself does not require a distinction in ownership. From what we understand, any recording instrument, that is capable of capturing verbal or visual input of a clear human likeness is affected by him.

This appears to affect only direct likeness, thus, any reports describing any non-physical attribute, even if they are relate to Wallflower, does not seem to be affected.

To put it plainly, Wallflower will only appear on recordings one time. Any subsequent preview of any depiction of his likeness, will have him completely removed from the article, whether it be digital, analog, hand-painted, or otherwise. Even a written physical description, if detailed enough, will get erased, or have its words jumbled wildly. Oftentimes, this leaves the depiction, or the origin of input behaving strangely for a time afterwards. A canvas with his picture will get smudged black and unable to take color. A surveillance recording left stuttering, and erratically skipping frames. And voice recordings, on replay, emit a soft static or eerie silence.

Those who try to preview these altered articles are often left inexplicably feeling sick, nauseous, and sometimes panicked.

Whenever Hannah closes an umbrella, the surface is always soaked as if it had been through heavy raining. When she does not have an umbrella within arms reach, light drizzling occurs in the local vicinity. Should she stand underneath an umbrella, the shadow cast mysteriously grows darker.

Name: Elliot H. Baxter
Age: 24

Description: A young man with skin that is the shade of sand along with grungy amber colored hair, you could say he's an average looking guy. With an average style to really lock in that look. Zip up jackets and old jeans all purchased from thrift stores, and a pair of headphones to accompany him wherever he goes is Eliiot's go to for any occasion. Well, not every occasion exactly. Of course, when he's performing for a gig he'll 'spice' his outfit up hy wearing a short sleeve button up shirt with cargos.

[Volt Key]
When a certain note or key is played while Elliot is listening to or playing music, a small electric shock goes through his body. The shock is not necessarily very painful, but it sure might sting like hell. For example, let's say Elliot is playing the piano. If he presses down on the trigger key (let's go with C sharp) that's when the shock will discharge. The trigger key is always random and different each time, so he truly never knows how to avoid it.

Biography: An aspiring musician, with a misalignment that makes achieving that goal seem downright impossible. Though, that of course didn't stop him from pursuing it anyways. He still sat down with an instrument everyday and practiced his craft.

Why, you ask? Because Elliot believed that in the end, you only have a certain amount of time before you become less capable. You'll grow old, become fragile, and weak mentally. At that point, you'll need someone to take care of you. So Eliiot thought, why not take advantage of youth while it lasts? Why not use your healthy mind and body to do great things while you can?

Therefore, due this indomitable mindset, Elliot continued to work towards achieving a successful career in music, despite how painful the process was. And it truly paid off. He would perform songs in front of small crowds, and instead of letting his misalignment faze him, he finished the song. Every single time. And these performances spread his name around a bit, giving Elliot little fame, and soon, he was hired by the Greenfield Music Center to play in Boston.

Of course, Elliot flew there immediately and rented out a cheap home. And just as things seemed to peak in his life, factors came along to bring his misalignment back into play.

Name: Briella "Brie" Dale
Age: 23
Image/Description: A skinny girl with pale skin and messy chocolate hair on the border of black and brown. Since she is usually cold, she likes to wear sweaters and jackets, or anything with puffy sleeves to hide her scrawny arms.

Misalignment Factor 1- This misalignment affects small objects that Briella owns or is in possession of. When out of her sight (especially if in a bag) and forgotten about, the objects will disappear, only reappearing as soon as she remembers the object again... and always changed from the original object.

Depending on how long the object was forgotten will determine how strange of a replacement the object will transform into. It can range anywhere from a different brand of the same item to a severed body part. The objects that forgotten things transform into seem to be random, but are limited to nonliving or dead things.

Biography: Cheap apartments always have their quirks, but Briella's humble home in the York Estate certainly takes the cake. Normally she would have chalked it up to ghosts of the past owners who lived in the Victorian manor turned dingy apartment, but this was different. Wallpaper changing colors, objects disappearing, replaced by things she never owned. At first she thought it was dementia or some illness, and even got a doctor to check her out. She started taking medication, but things only seemed to get worse. Recently, she even found an eyeball in her drawer when looking for her color changing pen.

If she had to pin down when it all began, it had to be when she met her neighbor. Her only neighbor, thanks to the design of the rickedy upper floor. Mrs. Sanchez was her name, a sweet lady who helped Briella settle in. They met on several occasions, and she even invited Briella over for tea. She seemed like a lonely old lady, so Briella never had the heart to refuse. It was after her second tea party that she noticed new decorations around Mrs. Sanchez's apartment, which the old lady denied was new at all. After that she began to notice a change in the lady herself, a more quiet personality and a lighter shade of hair. Perhaps age? The lady also no longer had a light limp on her left side, though that was probably a good thing, right? The odd noises early in the morning are probably just her doing doctor-ordered exercises to aid in physiotherapy.

It helped Briella to sleep at night, at least until the strangeness began to bleed into her own apartment. Now, she is wondering if the world has gone crazy, or she has. Desperate for answers, she eagerly accepted the letter.

description: standing at the height of 5'7 Theodore has natural black hair, dyed blonde on the under layer. He has a naturally pale skin tone that has several beauty marks including one found under his right eye. His form is naturally slim, though muscle mass and fat has been noted to have decreased rapidly in the last year due to poor nutrition. He has many tattoos covering most of his skin on his body, his face being the only portion left unedited. He weighs approximately 100.4 lbs and has be observed wearing 'fashionable' clothing that includes many layers, assumed to be an attempt to cover up his weight loss. Has notably worsening eye bags on his eyes as well as injured skin around his fingernails from persistent skin picking. An enclosed image of subject has been connected to this paperwork.

misalignment factor - Theodore has been recorded to have become a Fallacy approximately 378 days prior to this record on XXXX day of the XXXX year. This was triggered after the recovery of the manuscript titled "The Construction of 63 Meadowbank" after the suicide of a former classmate, [REDACTED]. This book was never released in any record that the institution has located and [REDACTED]'s filed manuscript and review of it seemed completely fantasy. The book itself goes over the story of the demolition of a property and the construction of a house afterwards on the property of 63 Meadowbank. Despite claiming to be a true story no characters in the story or real nor is there any property matching the description inside the book in existence. The author of the original work's name has been obstructed in every attempt to recover it by some form of destruction, necrosis, or other means.

during the book the construction workers appear to hunted by an unknown monster in the shadows. It is noted that all owners of this book begin to report being hunted by said monster despite no visual evidence to support this. It appears that the owner of this book will slowly lose their mind due to the contents of the book that only the owner can see along with the stress of the monster until they disappear under mysterious circumstances or die by it. It should be noted that the earlier mentioned [REDACTED] was the previous owner and was no different than the last at the end. It should be noted that any attempt to destroy the book has failed with it returning to the owner within 59 minuets of attempted destruction. Any attempt to remove the book from the owner has had the same affect. It is also noted that those who tried to do such also received sleep paralysis of the supposed monster in the book, often receiving injuries on their hands of claw marks where they made contact with the book. Any attempts to get it from the owner willingly has resulted in the owner becoming protective of the book.

factor 1 - at several points during the day the seemingly endless blank pages(although they appear to only be exactly 23 of them. This number never increases or decreases despite use, destruction, or any other means)it will display a diary from the owner of the book that they have not written. The time stamps have the same encounter every time.

1:06:27- will display a note of all items in the room that the owner was in at the time, even items they were not aware were there before

5:43:12- will display a graphic drawing of a death scene including people the owner knows, people interviewed in days before-see next note on factor-, and in rare cases the owner themself.

11:02:01- will display an interview of someone in the book that the owner apparently contacted. Sometimes information gathered is 'useful', most times it is just discussing the contents of the book.

15:59:59- will display the owner undergoing a monster encounter. It should be noted the owner will retain any injury that the fake version of them sustained.

23:11:11- will display a blank page most days. Though has been observed to occasionally have a filled out page. The page will include a page from the book rewritten and with parts missing or added to it that are not in the original copy, it is unsure the use of this.

factor 2 - when the owner enters a door they are familiar with there is a chance for this to occur, only has been noted a handful of times. The room on the other side will be different in size of itself and all items within, there will be other doors inside this room not there before that lead to a seemingly infinite amount of random rooms. Once inside the user is stuck inside for 59 minuets exactly in which case on the next blink the room will return to normal and they will appear to reappear in thin air. It is noted that the monster referenced earlier is assumed to be in the loop with the owner though they never see it. With the few times we have recorded, 23% of encounters with this factor resulted in an injury of the owner. It is unobserved if this factor can include other people.

biography: born on October 13th of the year XXXX in British Columbia, Canada, Theodore was born to his Japanese-Canadian mother: [REDACTED], and his American father: [REDACTED]. Shortly into his life Theodore began to pursue art resulting in the scorn of his father. His mother supported his habits until he was 17 in which case, [REDACTED] was murdered in [REDACTED] by [REDACTED] because [REDACTED], by the known criminal [REDACTED] due to [REDACTED]. After this Theodore's father became a drug dealer for a local gang, after finding out Theodore flew to Norway with money stolen from his father. There he produced a horror webcomic under the name Rafe that grew in popularity along with other works that followed after. This lead to him becoming rich quickly.

shortly before him becoming in contact with the book in question, Theodore moved to Boston for a deal of an extremally expensive business deal for his work to be made into a horror film. After receiving the book his mental health began to decline rapidly and his work became so absurd and vile in contents his publisher has put his work on hiatus until Theodore can produce different work. Theodore has now become paranoid inside his house with multiple locks on his doors and can be observed making drawings that match the styled in the factor 1 mentioned above along with getting low amounts of sleep and nutrition.

Age: 24

Spoiler: Physique

Description: Isa stands at an underwhelming height of 5' 3”. He has light brown skin and thick, slightly wavy hair that is as black as it gets. He is a small stringy whipcord of a youth with ribs there to count, and sunken in the flanks, so that the ripple and gather of his muscles can be seen under the skin. Asides from an effeminate appearance, Isa's large, amber-brown eyes are his most distinguishing feature. He typically wears hoodies with a tank-top or t-shirt underneath, slim-fit jeans and black ankle high hiking boots. On the streets, he's not above using 'foul tactics' to win/survive a fight, and will seldom leave his single room basement apartment without wearing hard plastic forearm and shin guards underneath his clothing. He does keep a folding knife clipped to the inside of his pant waist.

Misalignment Factor II – Red Eye: Isa experiences bleeding from his left eye as an indicator for when there is a 'close threat'. Subconjunctival hemorrhageas and temporarily blurred vision in his left eye are not uncommon.

Biography: Isa became fully aware of his misalignment at the age of thirteen when his family died in a car accident by way of a drunk driver; however, he was not able to escape the incident unscathed. In fact, his effeminate appearance and short stature are attributed to the injuries that he received on that day. Following the accident, he was taken in by his Aunt Nasha. Nasha was from his father's side. Due to the nature of Isa's injuries, Nasha convinced him to undergo gender reassignment surgery and the hormonal replacement therapy that went along with it. Growing up wasn't easy after that -how could it be? But Isa survived himself, meaning he didn't commit suicide. Long story Short, Anway (Isa's coach), is something like a Mr. Miyagi character in Isa's life. Before learning how to fight from Anway, Isa was a victim of extensive bullying. Biologically, he is a male and he identifies as a male.

Presently, Isa earns a meager living as a fighter in the amateur MMA scene and an assistant instructor at his club, Slumdog MMA. Slumdog operates out of a gymnasium in a local Mosque. Gumby is Isa's ring name, and his win-loss record is fairly even. Several MMA gyms in town have some 'beef' with Slumdog, or rather with Isa due to his 'dirty fighting' in street altercations with members of said gyms.

As for the tape and the letters, three days after his ears stopped ringing and probably against his better judgment, Isa decided that he would consider accepting Jesse Wallflower's offer on a conditional basis.

Factor 1 - Corki has always been known to throw illegal bonfire beach parties back home. In fact, the girl loves to play with fire, both figuratively and literally; she is famous for her high intensity, high adrenaline rush skating tricks and surfing big air afterall. But there is something that mesmerizes her upon seeing such dancing flames: the colour, the heat, the intensity... the faces. Her friends call her Tik-Talk for a reason; she just cannot help but run her mouth irl or on socials. But there are the times when those blue eyes grow wide and she just stares, captivated by what, or better yet, who she sees in the dancing, rippling flames. There is no real rhyme or reason as to who she sees, but sooner or later she will see them whether it be on the news or in person. Then there are the times when her eyes glow a ghostly silver and then she sees the skulls. She has no idea if she sees them irl or not. But one thing is for certain, there is always a singular word or name whispered to her by a voice she swears she has known since she was in the womb.​

You can imagine this is problematic in nursing school, funerals, and her career. Gena has sought out therapy, seen various specialists, and not been able to come to a sound conclusion as to why it happens. She is not scared of death, or bodies for that matter. Even when working on a patient, she faints as soon as they die. It only lasts for a few minutes, then she comes to. It does cause her entire body to break out in a cold sweat, and she often feels nausea and dizziness for a while after.

DETAILS: She believes she can stand to lose a few pounds. Stress, lack of sleep, and living off what the hospital cafeteria has will do that to a person. Partially average beyond her red hair and dark green eyes. Notably pale due to lack of time outside. The left arm has a sleeve of flowers, female faces in scrubs, and the red cross.

HISTORY:
Gena's life began the way many do. Mother split from her father when she was six. They relocated to Boston at that time to be closer to family. Gena grew up and found a passion for helping others. People seemed to open up to her easily. Her mother said it was because she was charismatic. It made it easy to bond with others quickly and want the best for them. For this reason, she decided to become a nurse.

That is when her quirk first became an issue. It did not seem noticeable before that. She fainted at a Great Uncle's funeral when she was younger, but only when in college did she discover it was a more problematic issue. During her schooling to become a nurse, in her third year, she found that when faced with a dead body, she would faint. It did not matter if it was covered, open, or otherwise. Luckily at first, she was not the only one to go down at the sight of a dead body.

However, as time passed, she was the only one unable to overcome it or switch career paths. Instead, she sought professional help. It did not feel like an emotional response. If anything, she could only describe it as the opposite. Empty. It was just a feeling, not an emotional one, more a kin to a sixth sense. The therapist checked off it was not a physiological issue as far as they could tell. Doctors got involved, and the only thing they could measure was that she had a sharp drop in blood pressure whenever she faced a cadaver during their testing. They officially diagnosed it as Orthostatic hypotension. Surprisingly, Gena was able to navigate the system with the ADA and still was able to pursue her dream. She simply changed her specialty to a labor and delivery nurse. In a place where so much life was coming into the world, death, while unavoidable, was less common. Everyone on the staff was advised about her medical condition they knew that should the worst happen, Gena was going down. It was a rarity in labor and delivery. In more intense moments when things seemed bleak, Gena would leave the room and grab a replacement.

The world has turned, and Gena has continued with her simple existence. Bills seem to come in faster than she can make money to pay them, so she spends all the time she can working. It was odd to find that message in the mail. Staying off the phone the days following was difficult, considering how often information is relayed in the hospital via phone. She made the mistake of venturing out of labor and delivery to provide a patient's file to another floor and did not take the stairwell, which was her usual route. A bed with several emergency staff around it had been at the other end of the third-floor corridor. She simply glanced in that direction, noticing a resident climbing up on the bed to begin administering chest compressions while they rolled him back to the ER.

Empty, darkness. Floor.

Gena was now on paid leave while the hospital reviews her case. It did not look good. The lawyers were calling her a liability. All in all, this random message might be worth investigating after all.
