Kenji - Makeshift Bedroom > Shooting Range

After consuming his ration and helping Cricket do their laundry, they settled in for the night. Though they had two cots, Kenji slithered into Cricket's- sleeping in the same place, holding onto each other became a habit over the year. Sleeping in the cot wasn't the thing making him comfortable- it was her.

His peaceful sleep didn't last as long as he liked, a young woman Cricket told him was named Jemma woke them.

Grabbing breakfast was the only thing Kenji agreed to, now he was standing in a field trying to help Cricket's arching stance around a bunch of strangers around their age. His attention soon changed from his friend dropping her arrows in the ground and trying to pull them out, to Jemma speaking- suggesting something insane.

"I'm down!" Cricket had responded instantly from behind Kenji, dirt smeared on her cheek.

"Absolutely not, are you insane!?" Kenji hissed at both Jemma and Cricket.

"We literally just found, shelter, safety, FOOD," he continued with an expression of pure confusion and frustration. But, looking back at Cricket, he sighed.

He'd go to make sure she didn't end up killing herself.

Jemma - Shooting Range

"Fuck it, I'm in," Tucker said. "I assume you have rope to get down?"

"I-I guess I'll go too..." Maia said meekly.

Jemma nodded, happy most of them said yes. She hadn't planned on it, but with the others doing a supply run, this made their ability to sneak away all the easier. "I do indeed have the rope," Jemma said, moving to grab her bag. She fished out the rope and started making her way up the watchtower. She stopped at the wall's highest point and started tying it around one of the support beams.

Once Jemma was finished tying the rope, she looked down at the group. "It's now or never, you guys. You can back out if you want. Just promise me you won't go ratting us out if you do."

It looked like Amir was going to stay, though Andrew had yet to respond. Tucker was already on the move, climbing up the watchtower to take hold of the rope.

"How often you do this?" he asked.

"What, you scared of the height?" Jemma joked. Tucker shot daggers at her and started climbing down. Maia was next, so Jemma helped get her on the rope while Tucker offered to catch her. This could prove to be quite the bonding experience, Jemma thought.

Dr. Hatch eyed Brooke, he knew her type too well. She was the real power behind Faith. Sure, Ray was the face that ran the place, but Brooke was the one in charge. Every great man had a great woman behind him. No different here. Still, no need for her to know that he knew. Let her believe he was just some sort of sexist pig. He'd even admit he was one to a point.

Watching everything, he rolled his eyes at Danny. And people called him miserable. Hatch never liked Danny, too much of a smart ass for someone who was a dumb ass. Chuckling, the doctor smirked at Danny. "Look kid, I never pretend to be something I'm not. I'm an indoor cat. Which, if you ask me, most doctors should be nowadays." His eyes glared at Binna.

Binna

The Korean doctor ignored Hatch. This wasn't the first time Hatch made a comment on Binna being rather active. He did have a point, to be fair. With Binna's skills, it'd better for the community to stay in camp, however, as sick as it was, Binna missed the struggle. She missed her arrows impaling the dead as she ran. It was messed up, but it became a part of her.

As Brooke asked if Binna was going, she looked at James when he mentioned who the medical people who were going. Such a character! He always had a way with words.

"Actually James, you might have another." Binna turned to Brooke. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Pulling Brooke and Ray aside, Binna and Alastair huddled.

"Brooke, Ray." Binna was uncharacteristically nervous. Brooke and Ray were always good to her. Brooke and Binna would always share "guy stories." Brooke was a natural leader. And Ray? He was amazing. They worked so well together. "Alastair and I were talking..."

Alastair put his hand on Binna's shoulder in a sign of support. "I know you guys want both of us to show the army Camp," Alastair began. "But Wally? He's had a rough time out there, more than most. He never had a community like Faith. He was alone for a long time." The bearded man chose his words carefully. "Wally is one of the most capable people I've seen. I've seen him kill the biters like they're nothing. " A sigh. "Thing is, I think he's gotten too used to be out there. And you know, he's a recovering addict--"

Binna interjected herself. "He needs to rest. We can't send back out so quick. It's not what's best. Please. I'll go instead. I can get my slingshot, arrows, med bag and be on the bus in a minute. Please."

Ray - Front of the Gate > Car Dealership off the 930

"Then I guess we're in agreement," Brooke said to Gus. "You're staying here. Hold the fort down while we're gone, okay?" She said it a tad sardonically and turned to Cassidy with a quick smile. "Of course, Cass, you should come too."

They then listened intently to what Binna and Alastair had to say. They made a plea for Wally to stay, to which Ray saw no real problem with. Though, it was hard to miss Alastair let slip that Wally was once an addict, something that Binna pointedly made an effort to gloss over. As an addendum to what they said, Alastair added one final thing. "Thing is, he's gonna want to go. Can you talk him out of it?"

Ray and Brooke exchanged knowing looks. These three already had a bit of a complicate dynamic going on, didn't they? "I'll talk to him," Ray said. "Brooke can get the bus ready."

As Brooke ran to get everyone on the bus, Ray walked over to Wally and stopped him from boarding. "Hey, man. The thing is, Brooke and I were feeling a bit uncomfortable with all the new people we got going on this run. We were thinking that you should stay behind, if that's all right." He rubbed at the back of his head. "Well, it's also not really up for discussion. But we do need good people here too. Brooke and I usually don't both leave Faith together, so it's not ideal for us to leave this place without its leaders." He placed a hand on Wally's shoulder. "Talk to Juli if you need something to do, okay?"

Leaving no room for Wally to argue and making sure he didn't know Binna and Alastair were behind making him stay, Ray was satisfied. He climbed into the bus with the others, feeling a slight pang of worry. What he said to Wally was true. They usually left either himself or Brooke behind on runs, just in case. This run was a bit more important than usual, so there was not much they could do in this situation. He sat down behind the driver's seat and gave Brooke an intimate squeeze on her shoulder.

The ride through the city was a pretty short one overall. Fort Wayne was not a very large city, though the outbreak had taken its toll on the city streets. What was normally a twenty minute drive in the old world became almost forty when one had to navigate around abandoned cars and pile-ups. The sights of the city were pretty familiar by now to the people of Faith. The dead ruled every street corner, with no living person in sight. It was hard to imagine how they could have missed people lurking somewhere around here.

The military camp was located on the city's eastern side in New Haven. Unfortunately for them, this area of the city was known to contain a particularly heavy amount of walkers, which explained why they had yet to stumble upon this camp. Brooke stopped the bus at a car dealership off the 930, did a quick look around to see if any walkers were nearby, and shut off the vehicle.

"There's a lot of undead in this part of the city," Brooke said to the passengers. "We run the risk of drawing herds either to us or due West if we drive any further in. We're gonna have to take the rest of the trip on foot."

"If all goes well, we should reach the camp in about fifteen or twenty minutes," Ray said, stepping off the bus. He did his own sweep of his surroundings and found nothing that stood out to him. The dealership looked pretty intact, all things considered. A handful of people probably stole a couple of cars when things got bad but no one had been looking to ransack the place.

When Jasper stepped off the bus, he let out a laugh. "Look at these beauties," he said, a bit in awe. "Makes me miss my old job. Coulda sold you any of these."

"I'm sure you could," Brooke said, sounding unimpressed. She stepped off the bus and directed everyone else to do the same.

{Sorry, got sidetracked, but Andrew’s in}

Andrew smirked. It may have been the first time he had done so in their presence, and it was not an entirely cheerful expression.

“I’m in,” he said. “And don’t worry, I’ll be able to get down a rope even if both of my arms were broken. Someone, hold my crossbow please.” He proffered it to Jemma.

Jemma - Shooting Range

Clearing her throat, Jemma found herself a bit surprised. "Uh, well, I was going to offer to help lift you down for Tucker... You sure?" She took the crossbow from Andrew with some hesitation. She was starting to doubt her own plan here now. Between Elaine's earlier bout of nausea and Andrew's current condition, perhaps this wasn't as foolproof as she had expected. Still, she had to try. She at least knew of the nearby safehouses in case things went really bad.

"Be careful up there!" Maia demanded from below. "I don't think Tucker's strong enough to catch you!"

Jemma heard Tucker mutter something in annoyance but didn't catch it in full.

"Well, she's right," Jemma said, speaking low enough just for Andrew to hear. "Tell me if you need anything."

Andrew wrinkled his nose, as if he’d smelled something bad.

“The day I let someone carry me, you’ll know I’m dying,” he said. “Trust me, Jemma."

He gripped the rope with his good hand, tested it, and then with surprising speed and grace descended outside the wall. He’d clearly done stuff like this before he’d arrived at Faith.

“That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you descend a rope,” he said with a hint of showmanship. Whoever Andrew had once been as a child seeped through a little, before vanishing beneath his callous exterior. “Now let’s go kill something."

Jemma - Shooting Range > Jefferson Blvd

Jemma wordlessly mouthed the word "wow" before descending down herself. She passed Andrew her crossbow once she was down and waited for Cricket, Kenji, and Elaine to follow. Leaving Amir behind, they proceeded down Ewing street, not getting before Jemma laid out her thoughts.

"Our runners use a baseball diamond down the road as a supply drop," she explained, eyes peeled as she looked out for any undead. "And there's this really cool botanical garden close to it that we have as a safe house. I say we check it out and clear out any of the dead before moving on."

The group was coming up on the garden when they spotted their first walker. Jemma checked the sky above. It was overcast, making it far more cool than the previous day. The lack of sun meant shooting would be much easier for them. "We're still a little too close to Faith to be firing any guns," she cautioned, looking at Elaine.

Tucker raised his bow. "I can take it out from here," he said.

"If you say so," Jemma said. "But hey, I'll be keeping score."

Doctor V stepped off and looked around the place...it seemed so barren and quiet. "Hm....So what is plan if the dead men show up. we are to lead them away with a distraction?" He asked thinking ahead of time should the dead find them and make way to kill them. "I may have an idea on what to do to get the dead men away should they get close to us" Doctor V looked around the dealership and smiles a bit but he makes his way around the cars as to not set off their alarms "What are we searching for here?" he slowly opened a door to a car seeing it was burned in a fire. he opened the door knowing the fire rendered the alarm no longer useful or functioning. "Mm....poor bastard tried starting it.." He said referring to a charred corpse inside the driver seat he gripped a knife and slowly pushed it into the corpse heart should it rise and try to attack.

Wally

As Ray explained to Wally that he was staying, it was all white noise. His eyes peered over Ray's shoulder as he watched Binna and Alastair enter the bus. Did they think he was dumb? Did they think he didn't see them talking to Brooke and Ray? Did they think Wally was so dumb he couldn't put two and two together? A rage built in him, but he just nodded at Ray's words. "Of course, Boss," Wally reassured. His eyes caught Alastair's, now sitting on a bus seat, gazing out the window. As soon as the bearded man realized, he turned his head down, like a child being scowled.

Walking away, Wally kicked the ground hard. Is this how it was gonna be here? Was he still going to be seen as Binna's screw-up brother? Outside was hell, but he thrived. He survived the biters while being in a drunk haze for nearly a year! He couldn't help but feel bitter at his sister.

Walking around the hallways of the school, his rage boiled over. He suddenly pivoted, punching the walk hard. His fist beat into it over and over again. "Fuck!" he shouted, his fist now slightly bleeding. He was getting an urge to drink, he could feel it rising. Taking a deep breath, he saw the blood splatter on the wall. Panicking, he wiped it away with his jacket.

Roaming the halls, he knocked on the Nurse's office door. His hand were pretty beat up, still bleeding. "Is anyone here?"

Binna

Packing her medical supplies and different ammo types, Binna tried to ignore Ray and Wally. The last thing she needed to do right now was give him any reason to blame her.

Taking a seat next to Dean, it was shockingly nice. Dean was a lot less on edge than normal. With his arm around her, she laid her head on his shoulder as he talked about his childhood, which was something he never brought up. Maybe it was the fact they were in a school bus that brought this side out of him, but Binna was happy he shared with her a hopeful side. Maybe he would show this more often in the future.

As everyone got off the bus, Doctor Roberts prepared all her stuff. Watching Doctor V, Binna couldn't say she felt comfortable around him. He just seemed off.

Turning to Brooke, Binna spoke. "Do we know how far we are from the camp? My fear is, as much as there is strength in numbers, a large group could cause larger noise. Maybe we should split into groups. I could run cover for you guys with my arrows if we found a safe place for me. Unless you want me on the ground for any emergencies?"

“Come on, come on,” whispered the frustrated woman. A box fell on the floor, it’s contents spilling out onto the floor, the bottles rolling about. The woman dropped onto her hands and knees, frantically searching through the bottles.

“Ondansetron, no… amoxicillin, no… codeine, no… No, no, no, no!” The woman threw the bottle of medication in front of her at the wall in a bout of frustration and desperation. “Fuck, fuck, fuck!”

Wrapping her arms around her legs while sitting down, she lowered her head into them. “One week. One week! What am I going to do?”

Tears started to emerge from her eyes, knowing the severity of the situation. Aerolyn Barnett needed this medication to survive, as years ago, unfortunate circumstances led to her needing a heart transplant. Because of this, she needs immunosuppressants in order to survive. Without these maintenance drugs, as they are called, her body will begin to attack her donor heart, thinking it to be an invader. And just as the body does with all foreign invaders in it, it will terminate it. For Aerolyn, her survival depended on these drugs. But even then, a donor heart can only last so long before another is needed. Even if she was able to survive the Walkers and the human threat of this new world, she was still bound to however long her donor heart would last.

The sound of Walkers walking about and making guttural sounds outside of the small mobile bunker she was in was only drowned out so much by her own cries. Since the events that transpired at her family’s property occurred, Aerolyn had been living only in temporary places, traveling to a new one when supplies became low. In this traveling around, she’d faced much danger from Walker hordes and human threats. But peculiarly, she had never killed a person. Call it naivety or stupidity, or even dumb luck, she tried to preserve life at all costs. And, somehow, she was able to do just that. Luckily for her in this regard, her upbringing in the mountains and hunting helped her with learning how to be stealthy and remain unseen. She would “glass,” as she often would for days before a hunt, an area in advance before moving in to settle down temporarily, scanning for all threats that would be present. She was, by all definitions of the saying, a true example of “the mountains are calling and I must go” kind of person. Though mountains there were not Indiana, or even hills (to her definition of a hill), she was able to apply this to the flat land she inhabited. However, because of her knowledge and experiences in her life, she was able to avoid human interaction the majority of the time.

However, this military camp was different. Out of sheer desperation, she had no time to scout the area prior to her trek into it. She went in blind, desperate for the hope that this camp’s medical trailer would house any of the maintenance drugs she needed. But this gamble proved to be a failure, and she knew it. She was becoming more desperate by the hour. She didn’t want to die, not yet, despite the current state of the world and what happened to her. But this camp was one of her final plans. She’d exhausted plans A, B, and almost all the way to Z. She’d picked off much of the smaller areas in the state where she was. Many of them ended being dead ends, much like this camp. Her options were running out, and she realized that she had to couple with death, even though she refused to do so. Because of this refusal, she knew she needed to go somewhere else, probably to another state. But time was running out, and she needed the next gamble to pay off.

Aerolyn’s cries and thoughts were interrupted by the sound of banging on the door. Instinctively, she grabbed her AR-15, and immediately stood, shouldering the weapon towards the sound of the door. The noise sounded like some Walkers heard her commotion in the trailer, and got excited by the sound of a new food prospect. Walking over to the door, her rifle still in hand, she lifted the blinds slightly to see what was on the other side.

“Shit,” she exclaimed. It wasn’t just one or two Walkers, it was many, at least 10, with more wandering over. There was another way out of the trailer, but it faced a fence with very little space to maneuver. Even if she can manage working with that, there still was another issue that would make escape difficult: the only way out was right through the path of the growing collection of Walkers. Aerolyn had to think quickly about what to do next, as that door they were pounding on would give way after enough pressure against it.

Aerolyn rushed over and picked up her pack, putting it on as quickly as possible. Following that, she ran over to another window on the trailer to look out of and try to come up with a plan. What she was able to see was that her path out was completely blocked by a lot of Walkers. Even if she tried to sprint through it, it was too dangerous. Despite their dead and decaying appearance, Walkers exhibited remarkable strength, strength of which can easily trip Aerolyn, or easily grab her pack, causing her to fall and be swarmed. It was dangerous and reckless to do that, and she knew it. There had to be another way. Scanning the surroundings, she saw something she could work with: a guard tower. As such, she came up with a plan.

Aerolyn would need to slip through the narrow alley between the fence and trailer, and make a sprint towards the guard tower. From there, she would need to climb up it, and start to pick off the Walkers gathered outside of the trailer. Once she picked all off, or at least enough to manage, she would be able to make an escape.

Just as she figured out her plan, the sound of the door’s wood cracking as it began to give way caught her attention. It was now or never. Immediately, Aerolyn ran to the other door. Unlocking it, she twisted the handle, and swung the door open quietly, as not to draw attention to her in the back. The moment she stepped out, she ran to the guard tower, and not a moment too soon, as the Walkers finally broke the door open. Luckily the noise from that seemed to drown out Aerolyn’s footsteps as she ran. Though, some Walkers saw her, and began move that direction. And just as the saying “monkey see, monkey do” goes, the other Walkers began to move in the direction their comrades were going.

Once at the tower, Aerolyn let her gun go, with the sling catching it. And as fast as she did that, she was racing up the guard tower. Pulling herself onto the platform, she knelt down behind one of the shallow walls of it, assessing the situation. There were a good number of Walkers, probably ranging around 40, that were scattered around the camp. A group of roughly half that was at the trailer, with some of them still pouring into it, while others broke off and went towards Aerolyn. Looking through them, Aerolyn focused on only the ones that would be in her way when trying to escape. That meant she has to start with the ones below her at the base of the guard tower. Grabbing her rifle, she shouldered it, and started to shoot down at the Walkers below.

While not quiet with a suppressor, as the ammunition was naturally supersonic, the suppressor helped cut down on loud report of the rifle firing, which only is louder with a shorter barrel. Lining up her holographic sight over the heads of Walkers, she squeezed the trigger, watching the Walkers drop as the round destroyed what was left of their brain making them “alive”. One by one, the ghouls dropped, creating a pile at the base of the tower. Soon enough, her magazine, which had only been, unbeknownst to her, low on ammo, ran dry, and the weapon’s bolt locked back. Moving behind the shallow wall, Aerolyn, in no particular rush, pulled out the empty mag, storing it on her minimalist plate carrier’s mag pouch. She then pulled out a new mag, and inserted it into the firearm. With a press of the button, the bolt slammed home.

Aerolyn repositioned herself back at the ladder, and once more lined up her target with her sight, and pulled the trigger. This time, however, the gun did not go off. Confused, she tapped and racked, just like she trained herself, but the bolt didn’t fully ride home. Ducking back behind the shallow wall, she observed the ejection port. Somehow, the encountered a double feed. Pulling her mag out, she placed it on the floor beside her. She then pulled the bolt bolt, locking it in place manually. From there, she began to fiddle around with the two rounds, trying to get the jam cleared. While doing this, amongst the sound of the Walkers, the sound of vehicles in the distance caught Aerolyn’s ear. Peering over the shallow wall, she saw vehicles moving in the distance.

Cursing quietly, she put her body against the shallow wall of the tower, and grabbed the magazine and pulled it back. Aerolyn desperately tried to free the two rounds, but they were firmly stuck. Normally, she would just field strip the rifle if something was wrong to fix it. But with the design of the AR-15, the bolt would recede into the buffer tube, thereby rendering field stripping impossible. Grabbing her knife, she frantically used it to pry the rounds out.

With the pile of bodies below the tower, and a bunch of “living” Walkers below her, should those vehicles decide to stop at the military camp, it would be clear as day that something had their attention at the top of the guard tower. And if it came time that Aerolyn must engage in a gun battle for her own safety, she was in a strong, strong disadvantage. Normally stealth was her means of survival with humans. But with that taken away, and her rifle suffering a severe jam, and her being on an elevated platform that could in no way even impede that of a .22, she was in a severe, deadly disadvantage. She prayed to God that, while trying to clear the jam, the people drove by without any incident, or they were friendly to other survivors.

Danny - Car Dealership > Military Camp

Stepping off the bus with some trepidation, Danny's thoughts lingered on a nagging feeling at the back of his head. He grabbed Elliot's binoculars and scrambled up to the top of the bus in order to get a better view of the surroundings. Alastair's report had given them a detailed understanding of New Haven, though Danny could not possibly shake the dread that came with walking headfirst into an unknown area. Known for its heavy biter activity, this part of the city had always been considered lost.

They had maneuvered past the apparent military camp, moving in a manner that would have split a pack of the undead away from the masses lingering around the area. The car dealership was a safe zone of sorts after something (or someone) had blasted a crater out of a high-rise nearby at some point early during the outbreak. It had created a buffer zone of concrete and debris, forcing any wandering biters to around it to funnel into the western side of the property. Derek and Dean were on the move there, moving vehicles into place to create a barrier on that side, essentially trapping the undead up against am impassable wall.

"Something's wrong," Danny said, eyes scanning the horizon. New Haven was not a particularly built-up neighborhood, so he could see the area where the military camp was supposed to be. There was definitely some kind of makeshift watchtower, which indicated that the military camp really did exist there. He could only make out the heads of biters over a shallow wall, but they were moving with an amount of energy that Danny immediately thought of as strange.

"Either something's going on at that camp I don't understand, or there's someone already there."

Danny looked down to catch Brooke's mortified look. The woman ran a shaky hand through her brown hair, eyes darting around in thought. "That complicates things," she said after a moment. "I was already thinking we should do as Binna said and split up, but now... Okay. Binna, Elliot, Paul, and Cassidy. You're all with me. The landscape naturally inclines to the east, so we're gonna get some high ground there and provide support. Shouldn't take us longer than twenty minutes."

"We'll keep you updated," Ray said, handing a radio off to Brooke. In turn, Danny hopped off the bus and handed the binoculars back to Elliot. He looked into his friend's eyes for a lingering moment. They didn't need to sign a word to communicate how they were feeling. Elliot would be worried for Danny, while Danny would worry that Elliot would try and rush in to save him. They were both the way they were. No reassurances would keep the other from selflessly looking out for the other.

In just a few minutes, both teams were ready to go their separate ways. They would be close enough that they would not feel entirely without each other, but no one could deny the tense looks on both sides.

"Be safe," Alastair said.

***

It was a fifteen minute walk through the streets of New Haven to reach the military camp. Alastair had led the pack, providing directions as if he had grown up here. The man certainly had a good memory. Derek and Ray were close behind him, both looking somehow tense and at ease at the same time. Derek had more combat experience than most, which gave him an innate understanding that one could never truly get comfortable behind enemy lines. Clustered in the middle were James, Jasper, Dean, and Sam, three relatively burly men who knew how to handle themselves in a fight. Jasper had been just a salesman in the past, but his time in Faith had been spent learning to expertly dance around the undead as if he had done it his whole life. Danny was at the rear with Doctor V and Conrad, the three of them having nominal experience with firearms. Danny lamented that he was probably a middling shot at best even though he had tried to practice extensively when he was a member of his previous community.

The military camp loomed in the distance, flanked by the expected number of undead. They had successfully drawn a number of the biters away using the bus, which meant the rest was in their hands. "About thirty," Ray said quietly, doing a quick count. "Could draw a few away and try hopping the fence. It's not too tall. Could be dangerous though."

Danny's eyes scanned upward, above the fence and to the watchtower just inside. It looked sturdy, though was probably made in a short amount of time. It was hard to see exactly from where they were, but he could have sworn he was seeing someone at the top of it.

"I think someone's here," he said. "In the tower. I knew I saw something earlier." Without waiting very long, Danny had his rifle trained on the tower. He knew he couldn't hit shit from here but had to do something.

"Stay low!" Ray said in a loud whisper, ushering the group to stay out of the line of sight.

Binna

Following Brooke, it was a hike. When the group was split up Binna was a little disappointed she wasn't with Alastair. The two had formed an easy rapport. As if the two knew each other for years. It'd also been nice for Dean to see her in the field. He was so overprotective. She understood, but still. Sometimes he treated her like a prized trophy instead of a trusted partner.

That being said, Binna had a trusted relationship with everyone but the new girl. Elliot was like her brother, and James? James might seem to be a big softy, but Binna had seen him in action before. He was not one to mess with. Brooke of course had Binna's utter trust. The two made eye contact, and Binna flashed Brooke a smile.

Traveling a bit off course from Ray's group, Binna and the rest sought higher ground nearby. Climbing up a quiet apartment complex, they eventually made it to the top, where Binna pulled out her own pair of binoculars.

Looking at the watchtower within the military camp across the way, it was clear to her now. "Brooke, I think there is a girl in camo hold up in that tower." She paused. "Oh, and I think she's packing a small armory." Looking upon the lone woman, Binna was in shock. Having that many guns had to weigh a ton. Heck, Binna just had a medical bag, a quiver, and a few pouches of different slingshot aims and sometimes that felt like too much for her.

As she examined from what she could of the military camp, it was clear the woman in the watchtower was in a bit of trouble. Taking a deep breath, Binna realized this easily could go sideways. If this girl was trigger happy with her arsenal, they could lose a lot of people. On the other hand, she could see Jasper or Dean getting a little trigger happy themselves.

"Brooke, I have an idea. I'm gonna try to send her a message." Binna took out her medical bag. Reaching inside, she pulled out a rather large white cloth bandage. Tying it to the end of her arrow, it formed a "white flag." Hopefully that was clear enough to put the girl at ease.

Now the real issue, this shot was going to be hard. Binna was skilled markswomen with her slingshot and she had taken some far shots, but this was really far. There was some benefit for using a slingshot instead of traditional bows. One was control. That could make the difference.

"Okay..."

Taking a deep breath, Doctor Roberts exhaled. Then another breath. She was aiming for the outpost on the right side. Aiming her shot, she fired. The arrow glided with ease, though it was going more left than she wanted. It did hit the tower, making a slight, but noticeable noise. The white bandage dangled on the arrow's end. Like a white flag.

If the girl looked across the divide, she'd see a Korean woman waving atop the closest building outside the camp.

Conrad
Conrad spent the bus ride over in mostly silence, the man having sat near the back of the bus to try and keep an eye on things. Especially the newcomers. He didn't particularly like feeling so suspicious of them given they'd been accepted into the community, but after so long of not having anyone join Faith, and considering their numbers. Not to mention there were a few oddballs in the mix, Conrad just couldn't help it. And he'd missed the meeting because he'd been on duty at the time, so voicing his concerns on bringing so many of them on this run wasn't a possibility. He'd been so busy he still hadn't even met any of them, so that didn't help. Still though, he tried to relax because there'd be plenty of time to be on guard later.

And he was right on that. From the moment they stepped off the bus things weren't looking great, tension was in the air. Even more-so as the group split up. Something Conrad was glad for, given their numbers, they'd have been in trouble if they'd tried to move as that large of a group. As his group moved down the street, Conrad on the flanking line since he knew how to shoot. Another gift he considered, because once again it meant he could keep an eye on everyone ahead of him, but more than that he could keep an eye on their rear to make sure nothing got the jump on them. The talkative guy was in the front with Derek and Ray trailing, the walking piledriver was in the middle with Jasper and Dean, then the masked guy was with him and Danny. If nothing else at least they were spread out properly.

When the call to get low and take cover went out, Conrad slipped up against the nearby building across the street, allowing Danny the spot on the corner given the other man was the one with a rifle. "What do you see?" He'd asked in a hushed tone, whilst continuing to glance around at their surroundings and flank, alongside the building. "You fire a shot and we're going to be in a heap of trouble." Conrad reminded him, hoping to avoid any unnecessary noise that might bring both the dead and any living down on the group.

James was mostly quiet on the bus ride until he got to the military base where things got more intense. He decided to go with Conrad, following the mans, lead, taking out his axe as he carefully walked walked behind Conrad, he looked over the man’s shoulder to see everyone else splitting up around the military tower James caught a glimpse of movement and immediately, his brain switch, having more focus than he usually does on the building.

Don’t worry man, I got your back, just focus on the others and I’ll watch your back.”

He said as he was the one making sure none of the walking dead or any other human would sneak up for a possible ambush.

As the group then as they began to start a flank. Again, following the man’s lead.

Hopefully he doesn’t use it, as soon as he does and if he does, we’ll have the walking corpses on our ass in no time, I don’t need no one dying on us-, not even that guy in the tower, but if he does attack we need to be quick about moving.”

The sound of vehicles disappeared at some point while Aerolyn tried to get the two round freed. Though, she didn’t have any idea when this happened, as her situational awareness diminished under the stress of dislodging the two rounds. The dead were still below her, though she knew eventually they would break off and start to wander about, once interest in her, granted she stayed quiet, would fade. The dead were simple creatures in this sense. But, the problem with this thought is that Aerolyn has anything but time to waste at the moment. She needed to get a move on to somewhere far away from the area she is in and picked clean of her dwindling medication supply. And, with people nearby, this became an almost incredibly difficult task.

Time had past by her, yet Aerolyn didn’t notice. Humans tend to, in stressful situations, revert back to training if possible. But in a case like this, there was no training for how to clear a bad double feed jam. Aerolyn knew she had to make a decision; forget about clearing the jam now and focus on escaping with her sidearm, or continue to try and free the jam, and allow precious time to go by. The woman stopped for a moment, pondering which choice would be best. While she can shoot a handgun well enough, she always struggled with proficiency with them. Rifles were what she was most comfortable with, as well as what she was most trained on. But now it didn’t matter: it was time to make a decision.

As she was considering what to do, her concentration was disturbed by the sound of a thud on the wall across from her. It caught the woman by surprise, causing her to jump. The thud was immediately by a buzzing sound, like that of a shaft of an arrow vibrating after being stuck in something. Puzzled by this, she belly crawled over to the wall, before standing up and extending her hand out to try and feel for the arrow. After a second, she felt it. Firmly grabbing it, she pulled the arrow out, and brought it over her side of the wall to inspect it. Her heart was raving, thinking this was some sort of twisted sadistic attempt to toy with her with a message on the arrow before attacking her. But upon further inspection, all that was on the arrow was a White cloth. Puzzled, she raised an eyebrow, trying to understand what it meant. After a few moments of thought, she realized what it meant.

“A white flag? To symbolize… peace, non-aggression?”

Aerolyn was taken aback by this. In any encounter with other survivors, many seemed to act with hostility or faux sympathy. Aerolyn didn’t know if this was true or not. But being that she found there was no other viable option at the moment in the predicament she was in, especially being that her position was compromised, she got against the wall, and slowly lifted her head over just enough to look over the wall in the direct she surmised the arrow came from.

As her eyes finally could crest the top of the wall, she scanned her surroundings from left to right, carefully taking in whatever image she could see. At first, there was nothing. But then she saw movement, from a person. Instinctively, Aerolyn ducked, thinking that would do her any good in not being caught. But, logic settled back in, allowing the girl to look up again. This time, she could see a woman on a roof nearby waving her arms. Realizing this, she slowly got up, revealing herself completely, waving back. She did not yell or anything. Aerolyn wasn’t entirely sure what to do for a moment. But upon looking back at the arrow, she ripped off the cloth, and began to wave it back. At this point, she felt that both groups communicated their desire to avoid conflict. Though, Aerolyn always knew better than to let assumptions let your guard down.

With intentions displayed, the question popped into her head: “now what?” The woman wasn’t necessarily far away. But with the sounds of the dead below her, she wasn’t sure if they could yell at one another and be heard. Yelling would only draw more attention to both Aerolyn and the woman, thereby making a difficult situation potentially harder. But as Aerolyn had learned about survival even before the dead rose is that survival is a game of chance and taking risks. Sometimes there is no “good” choice because each one would have more “bad” with them. Oftentimes it came down to figuring out the risk/reward ratio of each possible solution. Each choice may have a negative outcome, but one may be less than the other. And that was exactly what Aerolyn was trying to figure out now. And right now, without some communication, there would be no way for the two individuals to try and relay whatever information they needed to with each other. After weighing her options, she yelled out to the woman.

“I’m in need of help,” yelled the woman. “My main gun has jammed, and I don’t know if I have enough ammunition on me to sustain the rest of them with my sidearm… can you help me?”

As she finished this sentence, the watchtower started to vibrate and move ever so slightly. Aerolyn ran to the other side to see the Walkers. Their numbers had rise that were directly pushing against the tower. The tower was sturdy, but with all the force against it, it was only a matter of time before the tower gave way and collapsed.

“Help,” she yelled back to the woman, running to the other side of the tower. “The force of the dead against this are going to make it collapse!”

Aerolyn ran back over to the other side, picking up her rifle, and slinging it over her back. Then, she pulled out her sidearm, an M9. Hesitantly, she raised the gun, and aimed at the dead below her. Her sidearm did not have a suppressor on it. Therefore, there was going to be a lot of loud gunshots that would draw even more in. But there was no other choice.

The sound of the 9 millimeter firing tore through the air. One shot was followed by another, and another. Below her, Aerolyn saw some dead drop, while others flinched as the round grazed them instead of impacting the skull.

“Come on, come on, damn it,” Aerolyn exclaimed, moving the hair out of her eyes.

More shots followed, but few dropped. And before she knew it, her 16 rounds were up, requiring a reload. Pulling out the empty mag and stowing it in her carrier, she grabbed a fresh mag, inserting it into the gun. The force of her slamming the mag in caused the slide to go forward, chambering the next round. 15 fresh rounds were ready to go. But there were far more dead than 15, and Aerolyn wasn’t confident she could drop that many. But she had to try. Resting her hand against the wall, hoping it would aid in support, she began to fire again and again and again. More dropped, but more flinched. Before she knew it, her mag had run dry again. Like she practiced, she took out the empty mag, and went and grabbed a new one, inserting it in. This time, the slide didn’t fall forward like the last. Instinctively, Aerolyn, grabbed the back of the slide to send it forward. But it did not go forward. Confused, she looked down at the gun, slide open, showing an empty magazine.

“Shit,” she exclaimed, searching through her plate carrier for another mag. But this is where Aerolyn made a mistake before hitting this camp: she forgot to refill her M9’s mags. As such, she was now out of ammo for her handgun, after shooting off 31 unsuppressed rounds, with a rifle that is currently disabled. All she could do is try to clear the jam once more, to which she dropped to a knee and began to, once again, clear it. It was now up to her rooftop friend, and anyone with her, to save her, if they even would. Sooner or later, the tower she resides in will give way. It’s up to the mystery woman to save her now, as Aerolyn was out of immediate options.

Ray - On the Street Approaching the Military Camp

The situation was not so dire that Ray had much reason to despair yet. While the camp itself was largely unknown to them, Alastair's account gave had given them a pretty good idea of what to expect. A good majority of the walker herd surrounding the camp had been coaxed over toward the dealership, leaving about as many as Ray had expected behind. The only truly surprising factor was whoever was in that tower. According to Alastair, the camp had been abandoned when Wally and he had passed through. Who this person was and what this meant for their group would have to be ascertained in time.

Ray fell in behind Danny, Conrad, and James as they huddled up against a corner of one of the adjacent buildings. The others did similarly across the street. Derek was in front, opposite of Danny, so Ray signaled for him to stay put for now. Derek nodded, his own rifle gripped tightly in his hands.

"I'm not going to fire blindly," Danny said in a low voice to Conrad, looking a mix of annoyed and worried. "But I have an idea. Ran into something like this before." He gestured to one of the idling cars on the street. "Get behind it. Moving cover."

Ray leaned forward to get a better look and his gaze moved down the street. He saw that it was relatively clear of debris and ended at a gas station just across from the military camp. The camp itself had been constructed out of a park that took up about a square mile. They would have more cover at the gas station and could possibly start pulling the walkers away from the wall from there. It was risky, but if there was only one shooter it was definitely possible to come out of this unscathed.

"We're doing it," Ray said. He felt a chill run down his spine. There was no time to reconsider his decision. He took the lead and burst out of cover to get in behind the nearby vehicle. He slammed his shoulder against its painted red trunk and pushed against it with all his might. Danny fell in beside him and began to push as well, though the car refused to move. Ray grunted and slapped the back of the car in frustration.

"It's not in neutral," Danny said, peering over the back of the car to look into the interior. "Shit."

"Stay down," Ray said calmly, moving to peer at the driver's side door of the car. The window had been smashed in. Another chill ran up his spine. He ignored it and walked in a crouch over to the door in order to pull it open, only to find it locked. Breathing deeply, he moved to snake his hand through the smashed window to unlock the door. In a few precious seconds, he had it unlocked and was flinging the door open wide. He was momentarily thankful nothing dead was inside.

Ray was climbing into the driver's seat when he heard his radio crackle to life. "Ray, we've got an eye on someone in the watchtower," Brooke said in a low, tinny voice. Ray quickly pulled the radio out of his belt loop and closer to his ear. "It's an adult woman. Just the one. Armed but it looks like... mm... an AR-15. We've just established communication. I think she's in trouble. Over."

"Trouble?" Ray absently adjusted the car into neutral, noticing then that the keys were still in the ignition. He considered it for a moment as Brooke responded.

"There's just a ton of walkers. The tower's gonna fall."

Ray went still, peering over the dash to see the camp in the distance. He could just make out the tower. Just one woman, huh? It was time to switch up the plan-- quickly! He gripped the ignition and turned it quickly. The car sputtered for a moment but thankfully began to run. Licking his lips, Ray then took hold of the steering wheel.

Danny appeared in the open driver's door. "Ray, what the hell are you doing?"

"The person in the tower isn't a threat," Ray replied. His eyes narrowed. He spoke again into the radio. "Brooke, I got an idea. It'll make some noise, hopefully get some off the tower. Might be stupid. I love you. Over." Ray shoved the radio into Danny's hands and put the car into drive. He felt another chill up his spine. His heart was beating against his chest, a constant thrum warning him of the danger ahead. No time to reconsider.

"What's going on?" Brooke exclaimed through the radio. It took Danny a second to realize what Ray was about to do.

"You're not in a fucking action movie, Ray! You could--"

Danny was drowned out by the revving of the engine as Ray slammed on the gas. The car jumped forward in a lurch and Ray's head slammed back against the car's headrest. This undeterred him as he hurtled down the road and toward the horde of walkers. It was only tens of seconds until the car would reach the end of the road, but Ray's mind was working in overtime. The camp's walls had likely been constructed in a hurry. If the watchtower was on the verge of collapse, would the walls give as easily? He only had a few seconds to decide if he wanted to ride the car to its eventual conclusion. Would he pick up enough speed where staying in the car would be better than jumping out? Danny was right, he was no action star, but he had to make the tough decisions.

In the end, he jumped. He threw himself out the open driver door before it collided with the herd. There was a few precious moments of freefall where Ray felt... good. Free. He was convinced this was all going to work out.

BANG!

Those previous feelings didn't last too long. His body was slamming into the pavement below. He tried to protect his head with arms, hoping to only get a couple scrapes. He felt a burning sensation across his body and his head suddenly felt heavy. After some unknown time had passed, he recognized the feeling that his body had stopped rolling; he registered that he had survived. He heard the distant sound of a horn. His eyes blurred and he could see that the car had slammed right into the camp wall, though had not pierced through entirely. It was covered in gore.

Ray heard his name be called. He heard the sound of the undead moaning nearby. He tried to stay awake. He hoped they could save that woman. He hoped Brooke was okay too.

Binna

Despite the situation, Binna couldn't help but smile when the girl called to her. Like a light shining in a pitch black room, she felt, even just for a second, that humanity was still good. "Of course!" the doctor yelled back.

Almost on cue, everything started happening all at once. The girl's situation was getting worse fast. The tower was at risk of falling and Brooke was relaying this info to Ray and the others. The bright idea that Ray came up with seemed to involve driving a car into a wall! Binna winced as the echoing rang like church bells. Someone was going to have patch him up after that, most likely her. Unless he died. God, she hoped not. Binna eyed Brooke, who was probably now worried sick.

Binna could feel the pressure starting the rush over her. The car crash had diverted some of the undead away from the tower and bought them time, but this was not going to last. Tension like this wasn't something new to the woman. When she worked in the E.R., this feeling was an everyday event. You couldn't be a good surgeon if fear controlled you. Taking a deep breath, Binna exhaled.

"Paul! Get the rope!"

"You got it, Doc," the older man said. He had a determined look on his face while going through his bag.

Signing to Elliot, she told him to find something really sturdy on there roof.

Doctor Roberts looked over to the tower girl. "Okay! Our friend has bought you some time!" Binna shouted. She motioned toward Paul. "He's going to chuck the rope toward you! You're gonna tie it to the post tight, and your gonna have to shimmy across!"

Paul tied the long rope the an old broken axe handle he found. "Did you hear Doctor Roberts, G.I. Jane? We gotta be quicker than quick on this!" Paul chucked the rope, and missed. A large sigh. "I got this." He quickly pulled the rope back up.

As Paul tried to gain momentum, Binna waited on baited breath.

With a loud shout, Paul tossed the axe far enough to finally make it across. The handle landed on the tower where the girl could grab it.

Binna was all focus. "Just tie it, and shuffle!" the doctor instructed. It was an awful word choice, but it was true.

Binna couldn't help but think what could go wrong. The woman could fall, that was number one. At this height? It would likely cripple her, if not outright kill her. And if the fall didn't kill her? The shufflers would. They would swarm on her like vultures on road kill. In that case, it'd be better if the fall killed her.

Binna did eye the girl, however. This girl was a fighter, and it wasn't just because of the camp and the guns. Binna's gut told her by hook or by crook, this girl was gonna make it to her. She had no logical basis, and yet she believed. It reminded her of something Father Craig once told her... something about true faith being childlike. She thought she understood what he meant in this moment.

"You got this!"

Lionheart followed along half cognizant with the others on the mission. Why had he signed up for this really? To feel useful? There was probably ten other things he could've done
back in camp if that was what he wanted, in fact this crew and his knees would've thanked him for that. Helping friends? A word that was definitely a stretch.

No...the simple fact that he was here and why he had been on the road before shit hit the fan could be summed up in one simple word.

Relevant. That's what his entire life has been about. Stay in the public eye by any means necessary. That dogma had brought Sam to some really dark places during his forty year career and why his body was covered in medical scars while his entire body had been stitched, plated and twisted back again and again.

The legacy Sam wanted to leave was no longer in the cards. So he had to think of something new.

BANG!

Finally, Sam snapped back into reality and to the ensuing chaos. He looked around to try and get an understanding of the situation. Seeing the others handling the woman he grabbed unto the hammer he had brought along to defend himself. "Ah'm going to do something stupid." And true to his word, that was what he did. His eyes focused on Ray and with the sprint of a bull in its final round of a matador match, headed towards Ray.

Kenji - Shooting Range > Jefferson Blvd

Kenji had his head in his hands, in disbelief he was leaving the only bit of safety they'd had for over a year.

He didn't want to control her or make her stay behind for him- despite his feelings. The best he could do was be there just encase she- or any of them needed him.

Kenji didn't plan on using any of the weapons provided, he stood to his feet, holding his bat firmly. He then approached Cricket, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"You ready?"

Cricket - Shooting Range > Jefferson Blvd

In comparison to Kenji, Cricket was excited about the whole ordeal, gripping the bow she was given. Adventure always called to her, she trusted Jemma as well. She knew that Kenji was anxious, but if she didn't do risky things they wouldn't have even made it to faith.

She nodded to Kenji's question, climbing the rope with mild difficulty, but with Kenji below her she didn't feel anxious. She was on the street alongside the others, Kenji grumbling as he made his way down the rope to join them.

Cricket followed the group to the garden Jemma had mentioned, she pulled out her bow as she spotted the walker; Kenji in position with his bat next to her.

Cricket aimed and fired.

Tucker

As the group climbed down the rope, a grin appeared on Tucker's face. He had to to admit that he was impressed by Andrew's skills. Tucker couldn't help but be reminded by his buddy, Will. He had carried himself the same way Andrew seemed to. Neither one of them seemed to want any help with anything. Still, it was best not to think about that. Of his friends, Will was one of the few Tucker actually knew had died. Tucker was the one who put Will down, after all. Hopefully history wouldn't repeat itself.

When they walked down the street and encountered the chomper, Tucker had looked upon it casually. When Jemma said she was keeping score, Tucker was about to let loose his arrow but was outpaced by Cricket. Surprising Tucker, it was a bullseye. Right between the eyes. The chomper's legs gave way and the corpse tumbled to the ground. "Damn!" He looked to Jemma, giving her a surprising smile. "Guess you aren't a bad teacher after all."

Tucker took stock of what everyone else was using. He had picked up a compact bow, which felt more right to him. He ended up recognizing the crossbow in Andrew's possession. Tucker's mind was making connections. "That's Doctor Robert's crossbow, isn't it?" Tucker asked, retrieving Cricket's arrow from the head of the dead chomper before returning it to her. While not really known to most people, Tucker and Binna were on good terms. The two both helped with the plants, and both were close with Dean. Binna had shared a lot with Tucker, as he did with her. So he knew about the crossbow, as well as who it belonged to. "You didn't steal it from her, right?" His tone wasn't in a judging or angry tone, just curious. "I think it used to belong to her boyfriend. Got bit savin' someone. Danny, I think. Some chomper got the drop on them. Small bite, square on the shoulder blade." Tucker frowned. "Life funny like that I guess..." Tucker was momentarily lost in thought. He'd lost a lot of people and he'd shared his own stories with Binna. Despite his best efforts, he felt a pang of jealousy at Andrew being given her crossbow in such a short amount of time.

Tucker came out of his thoughts and looked around. "So Jemma, what's the story you're thinking of we get caught?" he asked. "Let's just say we heard someone shoutin' for help?"

“Nah, I didn’t steal it. She gave it to me, since we hit it off at my interview. Not my usual weapon, but I think I’m getting the hang of it. Never knew she had a boyfriend though,” Andrew mused. “She didn’t strike me as the type to have attachments like that."

Andrew sniffed the air, and his trigger finger twitched a little.

“Anyone else notice how much everything stinks nowadays?"

Conrad peeked around the corner at Danny's suggestion of using mobile cover. It wasn't exactly ideal but they had limited choices to begin with. Ray was quick to take the initiative with Danny right on his heels, which frustrated Conrad if he was honest. Danny was the one with a rifle, if the stranger started firing off then Danny was the one with the best chance at stopping it. Yet there he was running off instead of letting others do it while he covered them. Still, it wasn't like he could stop them now. The man glanced over his shoulder at James, "Guess that leaves you with watching our backs." Though James had already stated he'd do so, the plan and positions were changing. So Conrad took off after the pair, arriving just in time to take Ray's place at the back of he car as the man moved to the front, likely getting it in neutral.

But he was taking too long, and Danny left eventually to check. So Conrad stood squatted down by the trunk, glancing over at the watchtower before finally moving to the opposite side so he could see Danny. "The hell's going on?!" He asked, wondering what the holdup was. That's when he heard the car attempting to start and Conrad could have laughed. It had likely been abounded over seventeen months ago, between the battery and gasoline there was no way it should start. And the man started saying just that, "There ain't no w--" But he was cut off when the car lurched forwards, dropping Conrad to the road below since he'd been leaning on it for support. And then it was off. He could only watch as Ray bailed before it crashed into a number of the dead as well as the wall. Except the man wasn't moving, Conrad's worry grew but so did his frustration. Ray might have killed a number of the dead, and possibly saved the stranger. But in the process he'd made a bunch of noise and put everyone in more danger, most of all himself. Any nearby dead would be lurking in direction of the noise now, which meant they didn't have time to wait around. Not to mention those that were at the watchtower were heading in Ray's general direction now.

"Christ." He grumbled, shaking his head at the scene. "James, get that new guy and get Ray out of there!" He called over his shoulder, towards the building. James had more experience than him when it came to injuries, and he'd heard the mention of the masked guy being a doctor or something. So if Ray needed medical attention he hoped they'd be able to handle it. With that said he started sprinting down the street with some of the others, passing some by.

By the time he was closing in on Ray's location, he could see that the dead from the watchtower were now crowding the chain-link fence in an attempt to get to the car horn. The fence wouldn't hold long given how many were crowding against it. And then they'd spill onto the street and into the open. So he gave one good look around as he passed Ray by, making sure there wasn't an immediate threat to the man. Then kept going, knowing the others would be right behind and could get to him. Conrad focused on the dead against the fence, seeing that it was already starting to give way. Holstering his sidearm he grabbed his machete and started grinding it against the fence down way whilst yelling. "Hey! Over here you hungry bastards!" He called out, just doing whatever he could to draw their attention. He could only get so many given how loud the car horn was, but slowly about half started meandering down the fence line with him trying their best to get to the meal that was in their clear vision rather than chase a noise. This hopefully meant the fence down the way would hold, but Conrad was focused on what was in front of him. The man kept moving down the fence line with his blade grinding along the fence, occasionally stopping to stab one of the dead in the head when the chance arose.

Cass stood in the back of the group, looking over the edge of the roof to the walkers at the bottom. The group was trying to help a woman cross the edge with a rope, a risky and unnecessary move if you asked her, but she keeps these thoughts to herself. She had an unnerving feeling deep within her, like a kettle boiling. She paced back and forth, trying to take her mind off it, but it didn't do much to help.

"Settle yourself," She whispered, "Just be still."

She takes out her machete and runs her finger along the blade, tossing it from one hand to another, twirling it, whatever she can to preoccupy herself. Yet the feeling remained. The blade was a little loose and she made a mental note to fix it when the mission was over. She put the machete back in it's sheathe and looked back over the edge. The walkers were clawing at the wall, having spotted them, but they would be fine, probably.

"C'mon," She muttered, watching the group, "Any day now."

Cricket - Jefferson Blvd

Cricket's jaw went slack in pure awe at the fact she managed to shoot the thing right between his eyes. Her whole energy lit up as she turned to the group, her glance landing on Kenji who looked just as shocked.

"Did you see that!?" She beamed, jumping up and down slightly in excitement.

Kenji - Jefferson Blvd

Kenji's look of shock soon turned to a small grin, Cricket's energy was contagious, he couldn't help but feel her excitement.

Like 20 minutes ago he watched Cricket try to rip out arrows she dropped out of the mud. It was a miracle she even hit the damn thing.
