Personality: Despite her self-proclaimed title as an adventurer, her mindset is instead wired to be much more like a salesperson. When faced with a decision, the prominent factors are always: 1. Is it dangerous? 2. How long will it take? and 3. How can I profit? That said, throwing friends or trusted colleagues under the bus to further personal gains aren't ideal for her - she does have some morals to abide by, however questionable they may be. She's not afraid to get her hands dirty in this line of work, though unnecessary bloodshed does make her rather uneasy.

  • [School] Suzaku - Burning Fang: A school of self-defense that focuses on self-preservation above all else. Of course, this is also achieved by instantly incapacitating the opponent, often incredibly lethally. It makes use of larger weapons to create distance between the wielder and the opponent, such that it is easier to fend them off and escape if need be. When confronted with direct combat, powerful decisive strikes in key areas become the path to victory.
  • [Qi] Phantom Strike: For a split-second, Momo can create a false projection of herself making an attack, which she usually just uses as a distraction to flee.
  • [Qi] Mending: The world is a dangerous place, and all that money's no good if you're dead! Given the time, she can heal light wounds or stabilize deep wounds.
  • [Skill] Navigation: Momo rarely gets lost, even in new cities or unfamiliar terrain. And for a place that she is familiar with, she can instantly slip through the cracks.
  • [Skill] Bartering: What Momo considers to be by far her most important skill, the ability to swindle people out of their hard-earned cash - I mean, to make an honest living by trading and appraising goods and services.

Personality: Kai is known for his scary face, but he is much more reserved off duty. He rarely shows ill-will to anyone undeserving of his wrath, but his rambunctious and overbearing conduct scares people away all the same. He is a person steadfast in his beliefs, acting with confidence (and usually violence too) as he dispenses street justice to those unfortunate enough to stand in his path. Kai also likes to think of himself as a great jokester, but he isn't very funny - not that anyone is willing to tell him that.

  Kai hails from the land of Baiu to a family of petty criminals. His ancestry holds roots in Qinlan, but after the Great Migration, he hasn't been there since. He lived through a violent upbringing, exposed to his father's and mother's illicit practices from a young age. Thievery, mostly - banditry and mugging on the streets weren't uncommon. At first, he devoted himself to a school of martial arts to become stronger, but as he followed in his mentor's footsteps, he was taught something his family never had - discipline. Over time he straightened out his life, but when he failed to convince his parents to turn a new leaf, he simply left home and never looked back. From then, he became a wandering mercenary, selling his services as an escort or bodyguard.

Appearance: Linyi is a red skinned Oni with long, unkempt gray hair and two horns protruding from her forehead. She has dull green eyes, a muscular physique, and stands at 6' even and weighs about 200 lbs. Normally Linyi can be seen wearing a black sleeveless top with purple and white floral designs and a black hakama with frayed edges. While forging she usually doesn't bother wearing the top and goes straight to wearing chest wraps instead to deal with the heat. She has countless scars across her body, showing the amount of battles she has been in.

  Skills: [School] Seiryu - Dragon's Scale: A fighting style based around defensive stances and grapples, made to take an opponent's assault and reciprocate in kind, or attack with their own strikes before the opponent's connects.
  [Qi] Weeping Willow - Linyi can use her Qi to send a surge of electricity forward in a short arc in front or behind her. This can range from a non-lethal stunning effect or a lethal injection of lightning depending on the amount of Qi put into it.
  [Qi] Ironflesh - By surging Qi into a certain body part (or all throughout her body) Linyi can harden it to an almost stone-like density for harder blows and an easier time taking hits. She cannot sustain this for long due to the amount of Qi it takes to do this and sustaining it will wear her out somewhat quickly.
  [Skill] Weapon Repair & Upkeep - As a blacksmith Linyi is fairly good at repairing and maintaining weapon quality.
  [Skill] Tracking - From her past as a bounty hunter, Linyi knows a thing or two about finding people.
  Gear: Lei - A Guandao that Linyi took with her from Zhuqe. It has an elegantly designed and well-polished blade as well as handle, telling how much Linyi has been doting on it.

  Background

  
  Linyi was born in the region of Zhuqe during the war to a rather small family of Oni who profited off of the war trade, and Linyi and her brother were raised expecting to get in on the war as well and trained daily with each other and their father in order to adequately prepare for that day. Most days included Qi harnessing and martial arts training, the young girl favoring the use of longer weapons to make up for her lack of strength and range against her brother and other Oni respectively. In due time the siblings came of age and enrolled in the military, however their dreams were dashed however when the war ended forever and the Great Migration was announced. Linyi and her brother, Leifa, we're chosen to go to Xanwe from Zhuqe. Saddened to leave their home, but excited to see new lands, the family had one last hurrah of sake and whatever types of drink available, then Linyi and Leifa left for Xanwu. Once they arrived in Xanwu they were surprised and disheartened to find that Xanwu was much less hospitable and dangerous than Zhuqe. While Linyi was worried about their chances for survival, Leifa reassured his sister that they'd be fine if they simply applied their talents and worked hard. Taking advantage of their years of hard work, the two got jobs as Bounty Hunters and hunted bandits and other lowlifes for money and in due time, they made a small name for themselves. However it wouldn't be smooth sailing for long, as one day the two got got a contract to bring in a rather high-profile crimelord, a human, Shigure Sasaki.
  
  The job started fine as Shigure's men were no match for Linyi and Leifa. Things went south however when Shigure himself joined the fray, along with some of Ia's men from the Empire. Confused and out manned the siblings tried their hardest to fight their way out of the situation, Linyi using her Qi to stun and taze and Leifa using his Qi to stop fatal blows and dealing with the smaller canon fodder. They managed to defeat the Imperial Soldiers, but Shigure got an opening and went to strike a killing blow against the extremely worn out Linyi. Linyi closed her eyes and covered her face, waiting for Shigure's sword to rend her flesh, killing her. She waited for a full minute before realizing that blood had hit her face, opening her eyes she was met in utter shock and horror that Leifa had stepped in front of the blade, and allowed it to impale his chest, saving Linyi's life. An enraged Linyi gathered her strength and with a clean slice with her Guandao, cut Shigure's arm clean off, effectively disarming him. Then she gathered whatever Qi she had left and, ignoring Shigure's pleas for mercy and bargains, released the fiercest bolt of lightning she ever unleashed right into Shigure's face killing him with his skin almost boiling beneath her. With the last of her strength Linyi crawled over to Leifa and layed next to him, passing out when her head hit the cold dirt.
  
  When she awoke she was back in a nearby village. After questioning the villagers she learned that she was saved by a Ginji Toranosuke, a Tengu who had come to investigate the loud noises, coming across Linyi as she was killing Shigure. Getting help, Ginji had brought Linyi to the village and gave the inn money to help her recuperate. Linyi upon questioning about her brother, Leifa, heard what she had hoped what was not true but knew it had to be. Leifa had died saving her. One day when Linyi visited Leifa's grave, she encountered the old Ginji and the two talked about Leifa and their past. During that conversation Ginji had convinced Linyi to quit her job as a Bounty Hunter and instead became Ginji's apprentice, learning the Blacksmithing trade from him. Ever grateful towards the man who saved her life, she stayed by the old man's side until his death. After that she found that she could not stay in the village after so much death occurred and left for the capital city, opening a small shop there, applying her trade as as blacksmith for the many people who would sometimes come into her shop.
  

  
  Personality: Linyi is tough and aggressive and has a direct and rude attitude when you first meet her. She respects strength above most other things, but it ultimately depends on the person. Get on her good side and she becomes more tender and less rude and aggressive towards the people she likes. Like most Oni, Linyi likes to loosen up and drink whenever she can, and can be seen drinking rather heavily when not working.

Personality: He is a rational man with a calm aspect, and is used to changing his way of living frequently. He is rarely anger and pretty sociable with people.

Skills:

-Knowledge: He spent a great amount of time reading books about the world and experienced many fights for freedom, reinforcing his lack of strength with pure strategy.
-Aiming: Many arrows were thrown from his bow, giving him a nice aim.
-Mental strength: His mind was forged with the sights of corpses during stressful events, making him less unfocused during tenses moments.
-Increased stamina:

[Qi] Instant adrenaline - Given the time, one can master his own adrenaline and grant him a boost of power, speed and reaction time for a short time to several minutes if necessary.
[Qi] Golden touch - He is capable to put some QI inside everything he touches for a moment, leaving a burning sensation like fire if it touches an enemy. It can improve his arrow that way.


Gear: [Weapon] Axe that can turn into a bow at any given moment.

Bio: The boy used to live in Xanwu with his family specialize in swordsmanship, surviving in a harsh climate among generation. Despite the past of his family, Chen was more focused toward a studying path and disliked war and casualties and avoid any of these. Everything changes the day he learned about the tyranny the child's of Tiansheng were forced to take on. At the age of seventeen, he rescued two little children from Tiansheng that were thrown into the wild and purchased from one man on a horse. A tiny crossbow that was left near the scene was left open, and Chen used this opportunity to save both of the children by shooting down the man with a single arrow in the head. But unfortunately, it wasn't left unknown and he was seen by a man that described his portrait perfectly. The children were freed from their family, not wanting their beloved flesh being forced to participate in a war of conquest. They were running away with a man on three horses but were soon purchased by enemies.

Having to run away from his town, he changed from place to place in order to survive, using the knowledge that he was forced to learn from his parents along with a weapon that he took back home before leaving with a letter explaining the situation. He was a revolutionary against a tyrant. Not in the frontline, but from behind and rescuing people in need with his bow. He was forced to change his name to a new code, which is "Chen". Living a life under the shadow, he is fighting for the freedom of the oppressed but also runs from his enemies, every day. He spent many moments after his exile by learning the "QI" and physical fight with his axe, even if he's using it only when necessary, participating in several fights for freedom.

Personality​

Bena's personality is full of color as she is capable of feeling every range of emotion possible. Her passion is fiery, despair bottomless and happiness boundless. Her moods tend to change on the fly in response to even the smallest stimulation, making it tiring to deal with her most of the time. One might wonder how one as fickle and erratic as Bena might hope to accomplish anything with her life, but her willpower is a force to be reckoned with and once she sets her mind on a goal she won't rest until she achieves it. She relies heavily on first impressions and once she takes a first look at another she is prone to making her judgement right then and there.

To the eye it seems like the woman is rather shallow and has the incapacity to take anything seriously, making it hard to rely on her for anything, but when times get rough she knows how to get down to business. Her motivation is a fickle and unreliable thing; one second she will be rearing to go but the next she'll be snoring in her bed. The most reliable way to get her in action is any mention of treasure or riches, and the second best way is through mention of alcohol of any sort. Bena has a vendetta of sorts against anybody bigger than herself and has a fixation on proving herself to others so that they don't underestimate her.

[Qi] Heavy Hands - By channeling her qi into an object, she is able to make it heavier for short periods of time. This means that she can make her weapons heavier to strike harder and use their momentum as an extra aid in battle, but this ability also is useful for her blacksmith career to help flatten and strengthen weapons she makes. She can also make her body heavier.

[Qi] Feather Feet - By channeling her qi into an object, Bena is able to make it lighter for short periods of time. This means that she can make her weapons lighter to strike faster and use their momentum as an extra aid in battle, but this ability also is useful for her blacksmith career to lift heavy objects with minimal effort. She can also make her body lighter in order to move faster.

Gear​

[Weapon] Twin Axes - A pair of identical axes that she crafted herself, Bena's ax blades are made of steel and have a wooden shaft. Their handles are around two feet long and the blades are inscribed with the Blackfoot family insignia: a wreath of lines surrounding a rudimentary-looking foot.

[Item/Weapon] Sledge Hammer - While Bena primarily uses her hammer for her work, she has been known to use the massive hammer as a weapon. The hammer bears around the same dimensions of her axes and is around two feet long with the Blackfoot family insignia on the side.

[Weapon] Small Knife - Kept in a small sheath on her belt, Bena's knife is well-sharpened. It is only three inches long and is mainly used for cutting meat for cooking, though in a pinch she will use it as a throwing projectile.

[Item] Whetstone - A well-used whetstone to keep her weapons sharpened.

[Item] Tongs - Another tool she uses for her work.

Bio​

Born in an underground community in Xanwu, Bena had far from a typical childhood. She seldom went up to the surface but was up-to-date on all the latest technology for the her community were regarded as expert craftsmen in most fields. Her father was from a long line of blacksmiths and Bena and her siblings were expected to follow in his footsteps. The community was mostly made up of Oni, with Bena's family being one of the few human families in the area, and as such she often got sick due to the cold temperatures and unkind climate. However, luckily for her, the fact that she lived underground spared her from most of Xanwu's harshness.

From a young age she was tinkering in her father's workshop and playing with things small children perhaps should not have been exposed to such as burning fires, sharp pokers and an array of pointy weapons. She learned quickly how to wield a variety of weapons, for to craft anything one had to understand its purpose. While she became versed in swordsmanship, archery and daggers, the one weapon that always called to her was an ax. The fact that axes could also be used for chopping wood made her appreciate its versatility, though the versatility of the weapon was in fact limited.

Nevertheless setting her mind to becoming an expert ax-wielder, Bena carried one around everywhere with her until she managed to forge her own two custom axes. After that, she simply carried both weapons around with her everywhere until they seemed to become apart of her body. Eventually she realized that she wouldn't learn anything new staying in her family's isolated community and began to journey around Xanwu. Eventually she settled down and opened a blacksmith's shop of her own, but soon realized that staying stationary no longer suited her and yearned for an excuse to begin journeying again.

  Personality: Akane is cheerful and almost always filled to the brim with energy. In fact, one tiny push and she'd probably be bouncing around the place. She enjoys the company of people, and is fiercely loyal to her friends. Though sometimes, her energy can be quite annoying, as she literally (figuratively) cannot stop bouncing around and getting herself into trouble. If things don't go her way, she usually gives people puppy-eyes or fake cries.
  
  However, for all her cheerfulness, she seems surprisingly lenient about getting her hands dirty. Akane doesn't have problems with killing people, and can be quite scary if angered. So don't hurt her friends. And no hentai. Anything but hentai. Or tentacles. Nobody likes tentacles. (That's a lie, actually)
  
  Backstory: Other than themself, not many people would know much about a kitsune, and the same can be said for Akane. Despite her joyful attitude, Akane seems quite unwilling to share some personal information. Heck, people don't even know if the kitsune are foxes or humans. All you need to know is that you're lucky there's some smoking hot neko-girl clinging on to you.

  • Wall of Ice - Akane channels energy into the air instantly condensing the moisture in it, creating a very sturdy wall of ice to block attacks, or block people off.
  • Ice Spears - Creates several icicles and fires them at a target.
  • Hail of Frost - Makes spears of ice rain hell down on anyone caught in the radius
  • Conquest of The Frost Monarch - Akane channels energy into the air to create a huge pillar of ice to stand on, upon which she can fire down on her opponenets. The power of all her sorcery abilities are intensified as well.

Personality: Oura prefers to work in a team as opposed to working solo. While with his friends, Oura enjoys joking around and screwing about. While in his spare time though, Oura enjoys solitary tasks such as reading he gets really annoyed if people interupt his reading don't be surprised if he pulls his kunai on you and tells you to shut up. He isn't normally that expressive. Alcohol is his weakness, he gets drunk so easily that it isn't even funny. When he is drunk he is overly excited and extremely over expressive, he will attempt to do every stupid thing possible. Oura hates it when people touch his tail, you basically dead to him if you touch it. Literally touching his tail is a death wish, expect him to blast you into oblivion with one of his fireballs if you ever pull it, Its not that it hurts. just tickles ALOT. (may lead to loss of control over his power)

Note: Oura doesn't seem interested in any kind of romantic relationship.

Bio: Oura was found crying in the streets orphaned, he was adopted by a family f farmers who had no kids and treated him like a pet. little did he know oura belonged to an ancient kitsune family with a magical bloodline. Oura was a peculiar kitsune, he didn't know how to walk until he was six yet he started talking when he was adopted at the age of 2. Oura didn't have alot of friends mainly because he didn't know how to make them. His tail was the main reason for that. he was seen as a monster in other people's minds. When ever he speaks he will express his thoughts in the most literal way possible, if your face looks like a piece of **** he will literally say that you face looks like a piece of ****.

He didn't show any signs of magical powers until he was 14, Oura's powers became extremely powerful. When he was in his late teens Oura struggled to contain his magic powers and would outburst highly concentrated magic when ever he experiences anger. knocking over who ever is stupid enough to stand near him. These bursts were becoming more frequent and more violent as he grew stronger. His family left with no choice sent him to live with a powerful human Sorcerer in hopes of being able to contain this beast. It took Oura 10 years to fully master how to confine and control his magic. Origionally he thought about going back to his family but, after years of dull study he craved for adventure and freedom.
