The Unwanted [Inactive]

~Sydney~

"Morning Mr. Snow. Jared was just asking me about Miloh. What's his backstory?" she asked softly as she got up to fix some poptarts for herself in the toaster. After they were done she sat next to Eli and proceeded to read the newspaper again, this time flipping to the comics.

"Morning Mari." Ari said. She yawned again. This girl had been here for a long time to. She grew up with her basically. Well, she was 5 years older than her but, not much difference. She smiled at her before returning her gaze to the tv. She sighed. She looked around for Lui. "Is Lui up yet?" Ari asked, looking for basically the only guy in the house.

At her name, Mari glanced up. "Morning." she said, before looking at the TV. She was quiet, not really wanting to do anything. She didn't want to be bored, and the TV seemed to be the only option. It worked fine for her. When Ari asked if Lui was up, she shrugged. "I dunno." she replied, not looking away from the television set.

As if on cue Lui stepped into the room tugging at his jackets sleeves consciously, his shaggy brown bangs dancing in front of his snow white mask.

"Good morning," he greeted his grin wide and genuine as it usually was, as the teen passed behind the couch he ruffled the twelve year old Mari's hair jokingly before taking a seat.

Like many other occasions he had been on the roof that morning watching the sun rise, the dark night sky fading through separate hues of reds and oranges before resting on a light shade of blue. The sight had caused him to become lost within his thoughts as usual.

If you where to ever be searching for him the roof would be his prime sector, an area he'd always find peace.

Lui's hidden gaze eyed everyone within the room, falling on Ariana lastly. She was the single soul of his age, and though they interacted at points it wasn't a usual act.

Ari nodded to Lui. He was the only other lost old soul here and he would probably be that way until they graduated, like her. Everyone passed her by because she wasn't a happy little tiny kid. Her home was here now. Plus, she had seniority over everyone else. She was to attached to this place to leave. Plus, she was attached to all the younger kids here.

Lui sighed at the silent response readjusting his poker faced mask as he looked up at the ceiling. He dreaded the quiet aura of the room, pondering whether or not he should perhaps retreat back up to the roof. Seeing if he can create a conversation rather then hide away he spoke not quite interested in the television,

"How is everyone?" The boy rose an unseen brow,

"I'm doing just fine thanks for asking."

A bit startled Mari looked up at Lui. "Oh..." she mumbled, looking down, feeling a bit embarrassed. "S-sorry Lui. Morning..." she said. Glancing up from under her lashes, she gave the older boy a small smile. "I'm fine too." she told him, thinking of his question. She'd gotten so lost in her own world, thinking quietly about nothing, that she forgot about the world around her.

"Good. I suppose the same as usual." Ari said. She smiled in his direction before turning to Mari. "You look very tired though." Ari said. She looked at the little boy watching Pokémon and smiled. She ruffled his hair before standing. "I'll be back." She said before taking off to her room. She walked inside and grabbed her hidden guitar. She propped her window open and climbed up the branches of a nearby tree. She climbed up to the roof and sat down. She smiled and started singing again.

"Breakfast is served." , Jared said, placing the stack of fresh pancakes on a large plate. The kitchen was filled with the aroma of the pancakes. It was subtle yet somewhat nostalgic to him. It was his mother's recipe afterall.

Walking with the plate towards the round table where the headmaster and Sydney were seated, he picked up the bottle of maple syrup they had bought the evening before, with his free hand. Placing the plate and the bottle on one aide of the table he asked, "You guys want anything else or will pancakes do?"

Ari had put away her guitar and had walked back down. "Pancakes never get old." She said with a smile. She walked over to the table she sat down, shoving a pancake in her face and squirting whipped cream in her mouth. She chewed and swallowed the entire thing before smiling and returning to her beloved couch.
