Ridge: What do you think Macie'd be up to about now?

Jessie: *Shaking his head* I don't know. Nothing, Probably. Maybe by now she's going off to do some stuff for her career. She's a career person now. A Singer.

Before we head to Dayton... We need to stop and see her first.

Rikku: Come on... Let's make way. We are closer to Cleveland and it's only a few steps and leaps more to the east.

But the Choice now was To either Dayton, Ohio to meet with this new person in question... or to go first on a trip to St. Louis and see Macie. What were they to choose? However Dayton was closer to Cleveland and St. Louis... was not. Were they gonna seek on backtracking a bit. Just to reconnect with an old friend? Or were they gonna floor it and just get to Dayton, Ohio?

Tournament Host: *Announcing* Ladies.... and Gentlemen. This is another 2 on 2 Pokemon Battle Scheduled for ONE FALL! The battle will go on till both pokemon on either side are defeated or unable to continue. Our next match team... is a new team. The members of the team consist of a 15 year old girl originally from Long Beach, California but then moved to Metropolis, Kansas. She's also... a Transgender. Full of pep and headstrong. Give a good welcome to Joanna Matilda Barlow. The partner is a 15 year old girl originally from a town in Connecticutt. But has made a new home for herself in Metropolis, Kansas. She a band geek and a coming to life Courageous girl. Give a welcome to Macie... Melody... Lightfoot!

The Crowd then cheered in welcome to them. It was very uplifting for both of them. But now... who were their opponents gonna be?


Joanna: *Looking away in anger* Damn it!

Macie: *Looking at Joanna* What's wrong, Joanna?

Joanna: I can't believe that Jerk. Showing up around me...

That was when Gothita came out of her pokeball and used Telekinesis on the P.A System... Only returning to her pokeball afterwards...

Tournament Host: *To the trainers on stage* Trainers... let the BATTLE BEGIN!



Joanna: *Calling out her pokemon* Come on, Tepig... Let's fight. Time to use the fire to Burn some assholes who need to learn to F*** off!

Macie: *Calling out her Pokemon* Oshawott... Time for Battle. Let's defend our friend Joanna.

The pokemon come out...

"Tepig!"

"Oshawott!"

Jordan: Nice looking Tepig, Sis. He's hot looking. Good pick. *Grins*

Jessie C.: *Snickers* Yeah... For a Loser!

Jordan: Now here's ours! *Calling out his pokemon* Go Snorunt! Let's have ourselves a Fire pig on Ice!

Jessie C.: *Calling out his Pokemon* Go, Onix! Let's put the fear of rock and ground into that puny Sea Otter!

Seconds later...

"Snorunt!"

"Oooonix!"

Seconds after... The battle then got loose...

Joanna: *Commanding her Pokemon* Tepig, Start this off... Show my brother what you can do and use... Flame Charge... followed By Flare Blitz!

Macie: *Commanding her Pokemon* Oshawott, Drown that Onix... There's no fear in you... Prove that you're brave and get at it with your Hydro Cannon followed by your Razor Shell!

Jordan: *Commanding his Pokemon* Snorunt, Use Avalanche on Tepig followed by your Icy Wind...

Jessie C.: *Commanding his Pokemon* Onix, Show these losers what for... Use Rock throw on Oshawott followed by your Rock Tomb. Show them that their attempts are meaningless...

Joanna's Tepig made the move and attacked with a Flame Charge... and then a Flare Blitz! It hit Snorunt hard as Since Snorunt... was an ice type and Tepig... a Fire type... IT was Super Super Effective. It nearly battered Snorunt. Then with the Flare Blitz!... It smacked Snorunt and took him out. Once done... It was all on Onix. Tepig and Oshawott... against Onix.

Macie's Oshawott made the first move against Onix with his Hydro Cannon and saw as it Chipped down the Onix. It was massive effective and brought Onix down by over half. The Razor Shell took a little more health away and put to where there was almost nothing more left of Onix... Onix attacked Oshawott with Rock Throw which hit on Oshawott and left mass damage on him...

Macie: *gasps* Oshawott!... *Pleading* Please get up oshawott... Don't give up. You can do it. I know you can. You're the bravest one here... Come on. Don't back down... Please!

Oshawott almost fainted... However... that was when his Shell Armor hidden Ability kicked in and Also his Torrent.

Oshawott: *Getting up and suddenly getting angry* Oshawott! OSHAWOTT!

Joanna: *Looking at Macie* Macie, Our Pokemon can use The move Pledge. Let's use that. Wipe that Onix clean off the surface.

Macie: *Looking at Joanna and then at her Oshawott* You Sure?

Joanna: Why not?

Macie: I guess we could... It'd have to work... Right?

Joanna: Right.

Within seconds...

Joanna: *With Macie* Tepig, Full frontal Assault on Onix... With Fire Pledge... Oshawott, Wipe Onix off the field... With Water Pledge!

Tepig and Oshawott got in formation and used Fire Pledge and Water Pledge... Creating a Steam imbued Water attack which scalded Onix... and seared him massively... Taking it out.

When the steam was cleared and the view was sharp... it was over... Snorunt and Onix... were both... Defeated.

Referee: *Calling it* Snorunt and Onix are unable to battle.... Tepig and Oshawott... are the winner!

Joanna: *Cheers* YES! YES! *Running over to her Tepig* Tepig...

Macie: *Cheering* Hooray! Hooray! *Running over to her Oshawott* Oshawott!

It was a happy moment for them. Happy and a victory.

Joanna: Tepig... You were amazing... Truly... AMAZING!

Macie: Oshawott, I am so proud of you... You got hurt... But you truly got that win. You worked hard. *Picking up Oshawott* Thanks for the win, pal. *Smiles*

Oshawott: *Smiles and holds close to Macie* Oshawott!

The crowd cheered...

Bobbie Lightfoot: *Gasps* Oh my word. That was Macie! She... She's gotten more stronger being away from her home. It raised... It raised her well...

Girl: *Shaking Johnny/Joanna* Mr. Barlow… Sir, You okay?

By that time… i was now even more and more further to being back to being a full appearant girl. Actually… I was. I think that it was safe to say… now that i was now back. Back to being a girl. Johnny was now no longer around for any to see. I still had my habit… the money i still had left over… and the Motorcycle. Which of course was rather totalled.

Joanna: *Waking up and seeing the Preteen girl* You’re confused… i’d think. because i happen to be a girl. *slowly getting up* Oh man… What the heck happened? I feel like i was hit by a train. or at least a semi.

*Standing* I don’t seem to know who you are… but i will state that i’m thankful that someone came to my aide here. You don’t even know me. But yet… you still came to my aide. We never met. But you’re here now. Standing before me. Why? Where did you come from anyway?

Girl: I’m on my way back with the school band back to Topeka. (Was she trying to cover up that she was really from Connecticutt) Or was. I missed the bus. and i don’t have a way back. *Nasally* The band had a competition up in Utah. And we were on our way back… when we happened to stop for some food since we were getting hungry. But i didn’t get to the bus in time and they happened to leave without me.

Joanna: Where did you guys stop for food?

Girl: At a Pancake house.

Joanna: Where at?

Girl: Wichita.

Joanna: *Voice-over* That’s when it hit me. This girl was the same one i saw in my delusion. My hallucination… i saw this girl and now she was here in Concordia… by my side. I then got a rather sense of mystique. how was she able to just follow me? I could have been in a different state. And she could have been in danger if it was someone else she was coming to aide and not me. I immediately started to get defensive and apprehensive on what she was doing around me. Not that i didn’t want her around… The issue was that how did she know i would be here? She didn’t even notice me before when i was in wichita while i was Johnny. So… why now?

Anyway i was to look at it, She was gonna be one that would become my travel companion. The part which would get me is that this girl was insanely lost and had no way back. I didn’t even ask her about whether she was with parents or if she were like emancipated… like i was. i didn’t have the heart to ask. So, i did the only thing i knew could be done. I took her along.

Joanna: I don’t know who you are… or what your name is. But, i can’t just leave you here stranded without a way back. I’m pretty sure that your parents’re gonna be pissed or if nothing more worried sick if you don’t return back to where your place of residence is. So, why not come along with me. We’ll get through this bull together.

Girl: Okay. *Sneezing* Sorry. Clogged nose.

Joanna: It’s okay. You probably just caught some dust particles and it went up your nose. Probably an allergen or something. You’ll be okay. Come on. We gotta find ourselves a means of transportation. I gotta get back to Metropolis where some remnant form of my life can be found or for a chance to maybe create a new one… if by chance. I would suppose that you’ll need a better life as well. Least till you get back with your folks.

Girl: If that might be likely. But i wouldn’t count on it as they live in connecticut. I’m several states away from where they are.

Joanna: I’ll tell you what. Till that day comes where you can be reunited with your parents or by chance that they happen to come to Metropolis and likely move to there and live in Metropolis… You’ll be my right hand wheel. You just stick by me. I’ll protect you. I might be a girl… but don’t think that i can’t produce some kind of fight if i gotta. *Curious* What are you supposed to be anyway? A Band Geek? Just curious.

Girl: I guess so. I am in the local school band, you know. I am one of the band members in the school band.

Joanna: Don’t tell me. Sheltered Shrubs, right?

Girl: Yeah. Although it’s Lucky High School. But how did you know?

Joanna: Lucky guess, i’d suppose. *grins*

Girl: Wow! Good guess.

Joanna: *Voice-over* It then dawned on me that she was a byproduct of that animated show that was once on air: “As told by Ginger”. It had to be the one show that stuck out. I mean… What other show could it have been where a place known as Sheltered shrubs could ever be uttered. Even from a Preteen or a Teen of such a magnitude like that. I was then waiting for the very second where she’d talk of people like Ginger Foutley, Deirdre Hortense “Dodie” Bishop, Carl Foutley, Robert Joseph “Hoodsey” Bishop, Blake Gripling, Courtney Gripling, Miranda Killgallen, Lois Foutley, Winston, Claire Gripling, Joann Bishop, Mrs. Zorski, Darren Patterson, Will Patterson, Brandon Higsby, Mrs. Gordon. Chet Zipper. Yeah… That would have made my day and i am a girl who’d soon be fantasizing about the feel of a gun and seeking to become a cleaner.

I couldn’t think on asking about the hometown she originally came from. I couldn’t even muster the concept of it. Nothing of the kind. However, the thought crossed my mind. Besides that… all i cared about was getting back now to Metropolis. To get back with Carly. I had to tell her the truth. Tell her that Johnny was gone. The only thing stopping me was the part that now i was not only worried that it’d break Carly’s heart deeply… but i now had to handle the responsibility of the girl who was now with me. I didn’t know her name… but i was already with sympathetic care to her. She was just so alone now. She was stranded and many states distance from her family and friends. I didn’t know how to get her over to where her family and friends were… where her life was. Now that it was a fact of protection and survival… I had to do what it was that i knew to do in order to see that she was not only safe… but cared for. Myself included.

A Few days later… We were barely by the outskirts of Metropolis when we stopped and since the past few days… I managed to find a rather decent and an actual ride. A Motor Scooter. a 6 speed Motor Scooter. It got 88 miles per gallon. It wasn’t a bad investment either. It worked well and it got us far. Very far. It was then that i soon had to ask her for her name and damn me and the very existence i have if she weren’t to say that her name was the same name i heard be called a few days or so prior… even if i were under a typical Hallucination. Actually Johnny… had the delusion. But we all know that Johnny and I were one and the same. So… there wasn’t any shortage of stating the complete obvious there.

Joanna: *Driving the Motor Scooter* What’s your name? I can’t keep calling you Preteen girl. Unless you happen to sort of like that.

Girl: *Nasally* Macie. Macie Lightfoot.

Joanna: Hmm… That’s a unique name if i’ve ever heard one in my life. That’s a nice name. Well… It’s nice to meet you, Macie. I’m Joanna. Joanna M. Barlow. M for Matilda.

Macie: Joanna… That’s a good name.

Joanna: Thanks, Macie. Good knowing that you think so. I like the name too…but sometimes i wonder if it would be possible to have my name changed. Well… at least my first name. Of course… It’s not bad. I had this name since i was born and it was the name i was given. But… What about you? *Curious* Do you even like your name even if it is a rather nice one for all intents and purposes?

Macie: I don’t know. *Nasally* I don’t think that i’ve really thought about it like that before. I kinda wonder about the name. First and last name… but no middle. My parents never told me what it was and it was never put on any of the legal forms nor was it ever discussed.

Joanna: Perhaps we can come up with one. Everyone’s entitled to having a middle name. I’m thinking of something that fits what you are like. The core. Something that highlights you. *Thinking* How about Melody. Macie Melody Lightfoot. It rather is fitting.

Macie: I like the sound of that. *Giggles* Melody.

Joanna: It suits you. You should bring this up with your folks though and see what it is that they think about it. It would be a nice change in things. A nice change in name. Not much of a change… Just that there now would be a middle name lodged into it.

Macie: Right. *Nods*

Macie: She's been like my best friend since. I saved her.

Bobbie: You took matters into your own hands. And as for the Middle name... Melody was what it was. We just never told you.

Macie: Oh my... So Joanna said my middle name to me and didn't even know that it was?

Bobby: That's right. We also heard that you're a singer now. A Singing sensation.

Macie: Yeah. *Nods*


Gene: *Walking over with Macie's bags* Mrs. Lightfoot. Hon, we have to go. You've got to be at the Smithlee Music Recording studio in about 40 minutes. It's a half hour to get there due to traffic.

Macie: I know. *Stops* Oh. Mom. Dad... I'd like you to meet my Agent. Gene Samuels. He's the one that discovered me and signed me with the talent agency in Cleveland, Ohio. *To Gene* Gene... These are my parents... Bobby and Bobbie Lightfoot. Phd's, In Psychiatry.

Alice and a few other members of the local Team Magma outpost were holding a demonstration in a square downtown. It had for the most part been a usual demonstration, although with a lot larger of a crowd then they usually got. There'd been hecklers, arguments with the crowd, and a handful of new memberships from a lonely-looking group that had kept to the side most of the demonstration.
"If we are to survive past the immediate future, we need to increase the planet's landmass. And, ladies and gentlemen, man alone cannot accomplish this, although Arceus knows they've tried. The only one powerful enough to bring about our salvation is Groudon. And the only one bold enough to call on him to awaken?" She motioned to a large banner containing Team Magma's logo, An M-shaped rock formation "Well, the answer's been staring you down this whole time." Alice and the two magma bodyguards she'd been demonstrating with all saluted. "Thank you for your time." Alice and one of the guards walked around the banner. She removed her hood and stretched. "Hard work, huh?" the bodyguard asked. "You said it, Brandon." she responded. Brandon grabbed a stack of flyers laying behind the stage. "Right" he said "Time to finish this?" Alice nodded and took some of the flyers. "Suppose so" she said, walking back out to meet the other guard, and handing him half of her stack. The began distributing them to anyone interested. Once they were done with this, Alice thought, thy would go and meet with those quiet guys who were interested in joining.

He coaxed the Tranquill to head a little closer, and overheard the girls going on about how their friend was apparently a "star" of some sort. Alden was intrigued at this newly learned fact, and called over to the girls, asking for more answers "You're friend's famous, huh? You guys just keep getting more and more interesting. Well, what's she so well known for?"

Them and not having to coddle that Jensen and her Unhinged Monster Pokemon "Dragon". Macie's likely always had been a singer and just... none of us knew it. Joanna... didn't know. Ridge didn't know and hell... He's Macie's love toy. Her BF. Boyfriend. Jessie Rogers probably didn't even know. But for the idea that she's now this singer... I'd say that Macie's become her own person.

Leslie: Sounds like it. I would bet that my mom Blossom... would catch on and seek to just have a battle with her. Just to test her mettle. See what she's got? *To Alden* Heck... Alden... If you were to play your cards right, My mom could opt to issue an offer for you to battle her.

Jessie: Jordan, Dude... seriously. She wasn't the only one hurt by that. But that's the thing that makes it more stronger... We're her friends and we happen to forgive her. She took the control of her own life. She could have asked us... but was afraid that we were likely gonna stop her or talk her out of it. Which would have been a mistake on our part as we were likely gonna hold her back. That's not what being a friend is like. Being a friend is to support the person for doing the one thing that they knew should be done and for doing the hardest thing that they could do. Take that leap.

Ridge: You think it's easy to go and do that stuff? IT isn't. It's hard. There's alot that people out there expect from a singer. Record deals... Public gatherings. VIP greetings and gatherings. IT's alot of work. Macie's put all that stress on her. *Getting annoyed* And yet you still want to hold the events of the other night over our heads and make where we are to turn on Macie. Forget it. I would not do that. I love her and back at the Karaoke contest... when i proposed to her... I was not kidding. I wanted to marry her and still do. That's why... I'm gonna leave now... to find a Jeweler and buy an engagement ring. I will be proposing again to her. In front of everyone that night.

Ridge packed up his stuff and left. He was growing annoyed with Jordan over how he was regarding Macie. Macie was getting on stage. In front of a possible million people. Maybe even more. And to hear Jordan bad mouth or bag on Macie... It was rubbing him the wrong way and the only way that he could refrain from saying something that he normally would not say was to leave for a while. But before he left... He asked frank to watch Gaby for him till he returned...

However they couldn't stick around there for much longer... They had to get some traction and fast. It was then that a couple of trainers came over...


Joanne: Hey there, We're looking to battle some people. Are any of you... Trainers?

Josie: A Trainer with a Fire pokemon...

Joanna: I got a fire pokemon. But it's not doing so good. It's stayed up all night wanting to play. Would a Rock type do?

Josie: Sure.

Ginger: My Numel's near ready to Evolve itself. It's weird as it's had not much of a chance to battle other pokemon.

Joanne: That's okay. I got a Rock Type myself. Geodude. It's kinda Calm natured most of the time.

Josie: Wanna Battle?

Joanne: A 2 on 2 battle.

Joanna: Sure.

Joanne: Then let's go and have it. But away from the roads. It's not as safe as one would think and people get hurt... pretty easily.

That weird tattoed shaman from Oahu has given her the name of the perpetrator. But first, lodging. Second eating. Third, sleeping. Fourth, catching. Fifth... probably go home? She always wanted to have a badge. A real Pokemon badge. And the adventure. To Surf with the Pokemon. She looked at her balls, Phantump, Bannete, Haunter, and Liwick. None of them could Surf. How about flying? She remembers seeing a Golurk flew before. Like a rocket. That means she needs a Golett. She looked around the city for any sign of a Golett. The only Pokemons she saw is a couple of Rattatas, Meowths and an Aipom stealing hot dogs from a stall. No Golett in sight.

She sighed and entered the first hotel she saw, The Hampton Inn. At least she can get a lodging, sleep, and free breakfast.

Macie was still inside and was looking to off to the recording studios. But she had to part from her parents. She was happy to see them again as it was a joy to her. Fulfillment. She looked to see Leonetta and Macie Terrace sneaking a kiss and it actually made her smile. Kinda like as she imagined that she was Kissing her love Ridge at that very moment. She still couldn't help but smile over the idea that at the Karaoke contest... he proposed to her. It was really sweet and sincere. But her Agent was looking at the time and Macie couldn't help to look also.


Macie: *Smiles* Mom... Dad... I really am sorry. But i got to go. We'll have to talk about the possible emancipation issue later. But no matter what comes of it. I'm always gonna be your daughter. And i'll always love you two.

Bobby Lightfoot: I know sweetheart. We understand that you're a growing young lady and meant to fly. But it's as the saying goes... A bird cannot hope to fly unless you let it go. We can give you that. It's only right.

Bobbie Lightfoot: I know that this had to have taken a lot of consideration in thinking and discussing amongst yourself wondering if it was the right thing. It hurts knowing that we may soon be Emancipating you...as it's your wish. But we understand as you need your chance to soar. We just want what's best for you. You're our little girl. We can't see it any other way but to see that you're happy. We were hardly there for you when you were younger... It was our plunder. our wrongdoing... leaving you all alone. But if we happen to have any moral decency. we will grant this emancipation for you. Let you be free. It's the right thing.

Macie Nodded and gave one last hug before... parting from her family that last final time.

Macie: *Winks* I'll have my agent get things rolling later today and have a copy of the papers sent to you. It's sad knowing that i am doing this. But come on... My new life is Metropolis, Kansas. You two are from Connecticut. Your whole lives and everything is there. It wouldn't be right to have you upheaval your lives from there and it wouldn't be right to have me upheave my life from where my home is now. It's too much to bare. None of us could. *To Leonetta and Macie T.* Macie T. Leonetta... Sarah, Tex... We're going. It's time.

Gene: Let me help with carrying that for you, Mrs. Lightfoot.
