A K I L A- Viribus Medic
The lightly damp earth glides under her paws, every careful step drawing her closer to her destination. She inhales quietly, the early spring air wrapping her lungs in a chilled embrace. Akila exhales in the form of a soft sigh, her gaze scanning over the small pond cautiously. This pond laid on neutral territory between both packs, yet that doesn't mean the other canines were obligated to be polite.
Silently, the medic continues forward and out of the safety of her territory. She approaches the edge of the pond elegantly, gazing into the clear water in awe. Decently sized silver fish swirl in the water, zipping every which way, almost in an odd game of chase. Akila flicks her silky white ears, noting the glittering stones at the very bottom of the pond. She tilts her head in bliss, the scene before her calm and collected. After a few moments, Akila decides to take a short break after venturing to one of the farthest sides of the territory, and slightly beyond. With shocking speed and timed accuracy, one of her dainty paws flashes into the cool pond water. With a precise flick of her paw, one of the silver fish is launched out of the water and into the lush grass.
Satisfied with herself, the medic lays down beside her morning breakfast. Killing the fish with an easy bite, she carefully begins to bite into her prey. It wasn't much of a meal, yet it was a decent snack. The meat of the fish seemed to almost melt on her tongue, yet the oils from the meat cling to the fur on her muzzle. Her ears remain pricked, listening intently for any signs of a hostile canine. While it wasn't her rank, Akila was still trained in fighting. She found these skills useful, yet she despised needless fighting. She'd much rather escape without having to cause harm to another canine.
She finishes her fish carefully, licking her lightly blood stained muzzle. With a content sigh, Akila gets to her paws and gives her silky fur a thorough shake. She once again approaches the pond, yet this time she steps her paws into the frigid water. Her pelt prickles in response to the icy liquid at her paws, yet she continues on. She begins to gently scratch at the pond floor, shifting the rocks gently. After a few moments of doing this, she lowers her head, dipping her muzzle into the water and pulling out a thick, white root. Akila pads back to the bank, placing the medical root in the grass. She does this a few more times, until she has about as much as she can carry alone.
Akila pulls herself out of the water, her paws having gone numb from the cold. She shakes the loose water from her dainty paws, huffing softly in frustration. She counts the roots and with a satisfied nod, she walks over to a large bush, before tugging an adequately sized leaf off of the plant. She returns to the roots, and begins to place them on the leaf gently. Careful not to break the roots with her fangs, she then picks up the gently wrapped bundle and turns to venture back into her territory.

Zeno - Furtim Beta

His rough tongue gently glides over the soft rabbit pelt, his eyes scan the camp calmly as his pack mates begin to wake and set off on rounds. Zeno had already been out hunting before the sun rose of mountains in the distance, and he had brought back two fat rabbits. He had left the prey he had caught in the pile, and instead picked a rabbit that had been killed the day before. Zeno laid on the farthest side of camp, the smooth basking rock still smelt faintly of dew and the gentle spring rain from the night before.
The large beta takes a bite of his breakfast, twitching his ears as the youngest litter of pups noisily makes their way out of the nursery. Zeno licks his muzzle quietly, before taking another bite of the young rabbit. The pups tumble and wrestle over one another, playfully growling and causing a decent amount of chaos. He couldn't help but chuckle, averting his gaze from that typical rambunctious pups, he finds his gaze lingering on the alpha den. He was supposed to be the next in line to be alpha, once the current alphas were deceased or retired.
Zeno shakes his head slightly, he couldn't see himself becoming alpha. He enjoyed the alphas as they were, and hopes to never see them step down or harmed. His gaze his ripped back to the pups, who had become oddly quiet. They were near the kill pile, and seemed to be debating on grabbing a piece of prey. Zeno flicks his ears slightly, he figured they wouldn't be eating the prey, instead they would likely use it in their odd games. He swallows down a few more bites of his rabbit, licking his bloody muzzle. The large beta gets to his paws and walks past the pups, who were now looking at the scraps of bones and a few pieces of flesh he had left. With a satisfied huff, Zeno gently pushes the pups towards the former rabbit. They gladly take up his offer, and begin to chew the bones, playing tug and chasing one another over certain bones.
With a soft chuckle, Zeno decides to lay in the shade just under the alpha den. He typically resided in this spot during warmer days, or when he wanted to detach himself from the pack. He lays down with a soft groan, flicking his ears as he continues to watch over the camp, which was mostly awake now.

Tesák & Lytrí
Tesák padded out of the den, shaking out her thick fur. The warm rays of sunlight streamed down, filling her with a sense of calm. She strode out of the area and into the forest, her nose up. Sniffing, she picked up a trace of Akila heading out of the territory. Pricking her ears, she followed a new, musky scent past the large oak tree and into a clearing. A rabbit stood on its hind legs, its large ears waving around. Tesák settled into her long-practiced crouch, waiting to strike.

Tesák leapt out of the undergrowth, hurtling towards the prey with startling speed. The rabbit took off with the she-wolf hot on its trail. Eventually, she scooped it up, tossing the rabbit in the air before catching it and cracking its neck with a sharp twist. The body in her jaws brought saliva forth, but Tesák refrained from eating. When she returned to the den, Lytrí bounded up. His eyes were bright as he saw what his mother held. "A rabbit?" he squealed.

Tesák dipped her head, dropping the still warm carcass to the ground. Lytrí immediately tore into it, mumbling out a thanks. "Don't eat to fast," Tesák murmured, scraping her tongue over the pup's ear. Lytrí looked up at her, his tongue lolling out of his mouth. "You don't have to worry about that!" he barked cheerfully. Tesák gave him a stern glance. "Be quiet. Others will not be so happy with you interrupting their day." Lytrí gave a yelp of outrage and flung himself at his mother, who batted him aside with a large paw. "Stop it, you," Tesák rumbled before gulling down the remains of the rabbit and sitting down to wash her fur.

Shuka's paws padded softly against the slightly damp mud and grass below, the light patches of dry grains of dirt sitting atop and causing an annoyingly alerting yet subtle crunch underfoot, the dew collecting on the branches still remained awaiting the morning sun to breach through the branches of the trees above and seep through to dry the tips of the green blades and the small buds of sleeping flowers bringing them to wake. Each breath she drew brought a cold and refreshing sensation into her heaving lungs, the mist drawn into the air like gentle fog before dispersing into the light, her form was hidden amongst the lower and somewhat darkened foliage of the early hours, her coat a perfect blend of camouflage except for the brief and flickered highlights of silverfish greys and whisky whites atop, her amber eyes piercing through to the world around her, glancing around as though taking in every movement, every ray of light and every inch of darkness, as though sensing the feelings of the forrest itself in order to bring upon a telling of a straying animal, furthering itself from the herd.

The she wolfs eyes eventually laid upon a brush of brown against the otherwise coloured surroundings, a textured patch of fur of which could only be one thing, a young deer who's went off to fetch food away from the herd, a buck by the looks of things small horns beginning to grow upon his head, the air may have chilled but in this area the breeding season for such creatures rarely would end, as long as you were to respect and take not more than needed, they would continue to live stress free and supply enough food for the pack to survive, but take too much the herds would fright and stop breeding for who knows how long, and then the smaller sources of food had to be taken upon, or else risk confronting the whole group in dire times, including the head buck himself- someone she had messed with her fair share of times when twice she had approached, twice she had also left with rather recognisable markings and blood of which all thankfully healed past ones eyes to be hidden upon her torso beneath the thickened coat.

The females coat was not like others from this area, non could doubt she was about as close to if not pure of wolves blood, and yet her fur grew thick and ruffled, more suited to the mountains cold than down upon the summer lands, she was a skilled hunter if not one of the best within the pack, she lowered her body slowly until her chest pressed only hairs away from the ground, her movements passing and breathing softened, watching the alert creature of prey soon calm and once again begin to much upon the bush of leaves, one ear still flickered and pressed backwards as though suspicious of whatever may occur should they turn their back for too long. It felt like an instant, and maybe it was as her claws dug into the dirt below, pads of her paws pushing heavily as she sprung forwards from her hidden place within the twisting piles of dried up grass, still waiting for the spring to revive them completely to their former glory, with a single bite her fangs dug deep into the warm pelt of the frantic animal.

Calling loudly to alert the others as it in panic stomped its hooves and twisted trying to set itself free, in turn the female's teeth pressed harder, deeper into the animal and arched her back to keep it from fleeing the ground, jolting forwards the animal fell to its side and before it could try and flee she growled and stood upon it's back with lips curled back to a frightful sight of now blood covered teeth, pupils retracted and slit like a wolf beast, the young creature letting out one last flighting attempt to escape flung it's head and small horns forwards hitting the wolf and causing her to yelp as she instead fell to her side and in mere moments the deer was up and ran, too far and fast within the weaving trees for the wolf to make chase without another beside in her aid…. Not to mention she was heavily pregnant, she wasn't supposed to be out here, she wasn't allowed to be by the edges of their territory unguarded let along hunting, but then again the stray child wasn't often one to follow the rules, getting up slowly and shaking off a few times to settle her now muddy and somewhat blood stained fur from the brief capture of the deer, letting out another yelp as she tried to walk on an injured paw, a thistle from a hidden branch buried deep within, slowly and with a wary glance she buena to slowly limp back, panting heavily as her tail swayed slowly by her side, her ears perking up straight at the sound of another canine close by, the unmistakable padding of feet against the dirt and the light scent against the wind, her body almost instinctively going on guard.

Tuko
Alpha of Furtim
Mentions: Tasteless Tasteless
Tuko had been sleeping quite a lot of the morning. After training with the young adults and hunting in the ending it had taken it out of him. Let alone caring for his daughter as he always would, he was aging and people could tell. Yet Tuko was never one to show it. Waking up to the morning birds his eyes drifftig across from left to right as his eyes laid of his mate. he smiled before standing and nuzzling her before exiting his den. Stretching out his body and shaking down his fur he glanced over to see Zeno peacefully resting in the shade, grinning to himself he walked over before pushing him with his snout.

“Good Morning Beta.” Tuko said. Slowly he walked off going to check up on the rest of his pack. Seeing the pups play he smiled gently before howling out as he would every morning.it was a wake up call to anyone who would still be sleeping but as he looked round it seemed he was the one who was caught out to be the last awake. Even so, he continued his walk making his way to the edge of their territory. Eyes scamming the mountains his mind wandered and his brows furrowed thinking of what the other pack was up to. Thinking about what his half brother and father were up to.

Rhaegar
Shadow Wolf.jpg

The morning had arrived a bit earlier than usual. Well, earlier than what Rhaegar was comfortable with. He opened his eyes to the beams of light from the rising sun piercing through the darkness of the cave that he had claimed as his own home. Despite being one of the better warriors of his pack, Rhaegar preferred to hunt alone and only for himself, fight alone and to even sleep alone in the solitude of the cave. His massive size didn't make it too difficult for him to hold his own against the wild, a feat that is impressive when considering the animals he had taken down to assert his dominance over the area around the cave. He would only go to the pack when hearing howls calling for help or when he was desperately needed.

He slowly got on his feet and rose up onto his legs, with his body straightening out from the curved shape it was while he was sleeping. He slowly walked out of the cave, stretching his legs and thinking of what he could get for breakfast. His constant hunting in the area meant that there were not any rabbits around for him to eat. However, he knew that there was a pond nearby with fish that he could try to catch. His throat was also parched from his slumber, making it his first destination. He walked outside and allowed the sun's rays to hit him, exposing his pitch black fur to the world. He took a deep breath and continued onward, swatting away a bone that was picked clean in his way. He looked towards where it landed, to see the impressive stack of bones he had from all of his hunts. It was his collection, with mementos reminding him of all of the animals that he had slain. Bone from smaller creatures like squirrels and rabbits, to larger ones from wolves that he murdered. He had only kept the bones, as the other body parts would start to decay, giving off a smell that was unpleasant to say the least. It served as both a hobby for Rhaegar, and a sign for any wandering animals to leave the area as soon as possible, scaring them so that they won't enter his cave.

The centerpiece of his collection was the cracked skull of a grizzly bear, one that was the previous owner of the cave that he had resided in. He remembered how it took him an entire day of attacking the thing in order to bring it down. He had to constantly attack the bear, damage it and then fall back, lurking in the shadows until the right opportunity presented itself again. He was extremely exhausted by the end, and even received a nasty wound to his abdomen from a single swipe of the bear's paw. However, Rhaegar had managed to outsmart the beast and to take it down. With a smile on his face, Rhaegar continued on his way to the pond.

When he got to the area, his ears perked once had heard another animal in the area. He found this slightly confusing as most normal sized animals around there were dead and hunted by him. He blended into the shade between the trees, slowly lurking towards the pond and peering through. It seemed that someone else also wanted fish for breakfast. After a few seconds of watching, he recognized the wolf with the snow white fur that seemed to be shaking the water off of itself. It was the medic from his pack. Him constantly getting into fights and having injuries, meant that he had quite a bit more interactions with her than the rest of his pack. That did not mean much however, as other than mere formalities, Rhaegar did not engage in any conversation with her or pretty much most other wolves. He stepped out towards the pond from between the trees, his size casting a somewhat large shadow onto the pond. He opened his mouth to speak as he slowly approached the pond. "The outskirts of our territory are quite dangerous you know. You shouldn't be wandering this far off."

As much as Zara wished she could say she sleeps peacefully like a fat feline, it would be a lie. Tension exists between the packs of Furtim and Viribus and this has always left a constant edge onto Zara's instincts. Plus with the responsibilities of an alpha, it adds to her burden. But it is a burden she does not regret or loathes, rather it is her motivator. Although for once her body and mind were resting longer than usual. She felt the presence of her mate, Tuko, leaving her side but not before she recognized the motion of him nuzzling her gently. He left the den too quick to see the small smile that curled onto Zara's lips. Tuko was a great alpha. He was hard-working and always looking out for the pack and their only pup, Lina.

Her ears twitched as she heard the familiar tone of her mate's howl. It was the signal to wake up all those who were still resting. From the looks of the activity that Zara saw once she sat up and walked out of the den, she was one of the last few to wake up. This was an embarrassment in the alpha's eyes. She did a quick shake to get rid of the drowsiness in her system and made her way around the grounds of where the pack rested. Zara trotted around checking up on the conditions of her pack, although it seemed that Tuko's had made his rounds already since most everyone greeted her with a tail wag and telling her that Tuko had stopped by. The Malinois simply nodded her respects to everyone she visited.

Since it appeared that most everyone was already onto their daily activities, Zara decided to check up on Lina and perhaps even teach her a few fighting techniques or provide tips on her hunting skills. The female alpha walked over to where most of the pups who were in-training were located at. "Lina? Lina darling. Are you here?" Zara looked around to see if she could spot the little pup that was the near spitting image of herself. No one could ever deny the relationship between Lina and Zara. "Hm I wonder where that pup ran off to this time? She knows her father does not like her running off without knowing where she is," Zara softly mumbled to herself as she took another small lap around the grounds once more in search of her daughter. "Oh Lina...where could you be?"

AnuMedic of Furtim

Anu was one of the first members in the Furtim pack to awaken early. However this was a part of the white canine's usual routine. At the time when the sun is rising was the perfect time to pick herbs, not only because they are easier to pick from the dew that clung to them but also the view that nature provides him of the sun shining its beautiful light down onto the many hues of flowers. There was nothing that could beat that sight, besides a fat, juicy rabbit.

As soon as Anu thought about a rabbit his stomach gave in and growled at him. The large dog sighed as he sat down and glanced over to the plants he had collected from his morning scavenging. There was quite a bit and they were all laid upon a piece of bark that had broken off from a rotting log. Anu had managed to find a strong enough vine to wrap around one corner of the chipped piece, but the vine had eventually shrunk to a small bit as it broke off piece by piece throughout his trek. Despite its condition, the makeshift transport has helped the medic to carry all the necessary herbs he needed.

Now his routine gathering was coming to its end as he had sat himself down on the shore of a river. While drinking from a river wouldn't satisfy his hunger it would satiate his thirst. The Akbash took a quick drink before he smelt a presence nearby. But the medic didn't need to be on high alert since he identified the scent to be a part of his pack, Furtim, specifically it was the male alpha, Tuko. He looked around to see if he could spot the dark-furred canine. Eventually his eyes found the distinct pointy ears of his alpha. "What brings you out here towards the edge of our territory, Alpha?"

Tala - Viribus Alpha
Mentions: Cosmos Cosmos

Unlike most days, the young Viribus alpha didn't wake early. He was low on the amount of rest he needed, up late into the night and waking early in the morning to keep watch on the pack of wolves. He was there to care for them and no matter how much Tala wanted to do just that for his entire pack, his family, he knew it was hard. He wasn't new at being an Alpha but over time he had learned that there were some days he'd need to care for himself. Though he definitely struggled with putting himself before others this was simply an example of one of those days. He simply couldn't wake just before the sun began to rise to exit his den and watch everyone.

Today was the day that Tala woke rather late, laid around in the shade of his den, head peeked out just enough to watch the rest of his pack do their daily things. He felt lazy but if anyone questioned him, he'd have no hesitation in telling them to mind their own business and quit questioning their alpha. His eyes searched for his mate, who he hadn't known her whereabouts, nor though to really ask anyone of where she was. He thought of it for just a moment before shrugging off the worry. Yes, she was pregnant, and to be expecting soon, but he trusted her enough to think she was safe. Tala stretched out his long legs, shaking out his dark fur which was covered in grass and a bit of mud from how it had rained not much earlier.

The young alpha's jaws expanded, letting out a large yawn as he padded out of his den. He'd been on his way to the food pile to snatch up a rather plump rabbit to fulfill his hunger just as he heard a cry in the far distance. Not to mention, a rather familiar one. His dark eyes narrowed as he turned his head, ears perked on alert. That sounded just like his mate. Shuka. He'd specifically made orders that she wouldn't stray far, and if she did, that she wouldn't be alone. Strictly for her and their unborn pup's safety, anyways. And by recommendation of the pack medic, Akila. Tala nudged the rabbit aside with a large paw, making his way away from the pack without any warning. Tala started off slowly, moving into a trot, before running off through the winding trees as fast as he could in search of his mate. He was in such a confused and worried frenzy that he could barely properly catch her scent. Though when he did, he slowed to a halt, catching sight of her unique fur pattern not far into the distance. "Shuka!" He snarled, feeling the anger rise beneath his skin, fur bristling as his paws dug into the mud beneath him. His stance was stiff, the anger clear in his narrowed eyes as he stared down his mate in the distance.

He began to near, the squishing of the mud shifting beneath his weight loud in his ears as he walked. Despite his anger, he felt his expression soften at sight of his mate. He couldn't truly help the fact that she made him soft at times, knowing that it wasn't in his best interest to fight with her when she was clearly in trouble. It appeared Tala hadn't made it in time, however, clearly seeing the tracks of the deer that'd run away from his mate's grasp. "What've you done?" He sighed, circling Shuka curiously and turning his head to take a look at her paw.

Edon - Furtim In-Training
Mentions: Life. Life.

Edon was rather lazy first things in the morning, the pup struggling to keep up with the others. His green eyes were peered open at the sound of the other in-trainings rustling around and one by one leaving the den. He couldn't dare let the sun touch his eyes as it peered in, rolling onto his back and shutting his eyes once more. "Yeah, you all can go on without me! Act as if I care.." He grumbled, growing upset and frustrated. He didn't want to be the last one in the den as he usually was, all alone. But he also didn't want to leave and have to start working.

Eventually, the young male did as his head told him, stretching against the cool rock beneath his smaller body. "Come on, Edon!" He growled to himself as he opened his eyes, floppy ears twitching at the sound of his pack's Alpha talking around the rest of the in-training pups not far off. He perked up a bit out of curiosity, brown nose twitching as he shook the leaves from his pelt and padded out eagerly. "Alpha Zara?" Edon called out questioningly, though he paused and shook his head about as the sunlight stung his eyes. It took the young one a while to adjust to his surroundings though by that time his Alpha was gone. Rolling his eyes, Edon went around to his friends before wandering off once more. He couldn't stay in one place for too long to begin with and they were already doing their own little things.

Lina
Pup to the Alphas
Mentions: Life. Life. WhispFlick WhispFlick
Lina was always an early riser, even against her fathers wishes she would sneak out at the crack of dawn and make her way around their territory. Exploring and finding new placed to go even if it meant facing the arguments of her mother and father. They were strict but she was rebellious, she knew she could take care of herself. Well, as much as a pup could in the big wild world anyway. Lina had made her way away from the dens and the rest of the pups, she preferred to be independent and it worked for her well but even still, there were times she needed to rely on others but this morning, was not one of those mornings. Walking into the small forest area she had seen a rabbit not far from her. Zara, her mother and female alpha to the pack, had been teaching her how to hunt recently and she was getting good at it. Slowly and steadily she kept her body low to the ground as she watched it's movements, her eyes pinned to the fur of the browned and elderly rabbit. As it twitched and shuffled along the mucky floor, Lina began taking small and slow steps before she finally leapt out and began to try and run the rabbit down.
Lina was doing well for the most part. But when it came to finally closing in on her kill, her feet buckled underneath each other. Falling flat on her face, she watched as the rabbit ran away into it's burrow. Sighing to herself she picked herself up off the floor and sat licking clean her paws that were now covered in mud. But even then that was no use. Her whole body was covered from falling over. With her head hanging Lina slowly began to walk back into the packs homes, it took her a little while but bt the time she got there her father had already sent out the morning howl and her mother was calling for her. "Mother!" She shouted out before continuing her walk of shame across the packs land. Her head was hanging low but she really just wanted to get clean from all the dirt that was on her.

Yet before she found her mother, Lina bumped into Edon. He was a cute little guy and Lina always liked him. Even if he was slightly stubborn sometimes or so he seemed to be to Lina. She strolled up to him seeing the other pups playing slightly ahead. "Edon? Have you seen my mother?"

Tuko
Alpha of Furtim
Mentions: Life. Life.
Tuko sat staring at the mountains. His mind had escaped his body to far of places while his physical state was a stone. Thinking of how life could have been for himself, but also for the ones around him pained him at times but also brought him slight sorrow that it hadn't been. Shaking his head as the wind began to blow into his face. His fur waved like waves on the see as he eyes closed slightly. Sighing to himself her heard the foot steps behind him as he tensed slightly before realising it was one of his own. Calming down, his head swung round slightly before looking to see it was Anu. A trusted medic to his pack he gave a gentle nod to the male before staring back to the mountainside. "Thinking of how things could have been." Tuko was honest at this moment he wouldn't normally but he needed to realise some sense of the bottled up emotions he had been carrying all his life since he was banished from the other pack by his father. A grin however soon crept up as his eyes seemed to tense. "And how they will be when their pack is taken down to it's roots." Closing his eyes, Tuko buried his head into his chest, sighing to himself before looking to Anu with a neutral expression.

"What might you be doing so far this morning?" Tuko gathered that he was going to be collecting herbs, but he wanted to make sure. There was always a chance someone could betray them depending on their circumstances of coming into the pack. Even so, Tukos brow rose as he stood up from his seated position and face Anu properly.

With the speed of a hawk and the intensity of a mother bear, Zara ran towards the spot where she happened to have caught the single cry of 'mother' from Lina. It was very faint to others' ears, but to Zara she was able to quickly detect and locate where her baby was. The mother instinct is indeed an ability to fear.

The dark female eventually spotted her pup, but not before noting all the dirt clinging onto her fur. "Oh Lina baby. You're all dirty. Were you trying to hunt?" Zara hovered over Lina and managed to lick off some of the small dirt spots that had splattered onto her face. She could tell that the pup was slightly disheartened. "Don't let it get to you sweetie. Once we get you cleaned up let's go back out again and see if we can catch a rabbit together. We can even take Edon along with us. Would you like to join us Edon?" The female alpha had previously noticed the chocolate pup standing close by, but was paying too close attention to her pup. But after calming down from finding her pup, she wanted to make the pup feel included. "I can even teach you guys how to fish today. How does that sound? You two wait here while I let Zeno know of our absence."

It didn't take long for Zara to locate Zeno since she had spotted him earlier. Quickly trotting up to the beta she offered a small tail wag and a greeting, "Good morning Beta. I see that you are working hard like usual. In a few moments I will be heading out with Lina and Edon out towards the river. Knowing Tuko he is probably out patrolling at the moment so you are in charge of the members here at the grounds. If any news arises send someone to alert me or Tuko, whomever is closest to the pack.
With all that I say farewell now. I will see you sometime later today, perhaps with a large fish that Lina has caught."
Zara flashed him a warm smile before she walked off to rejoin her pup and Edon.

"Alright kiddos, you ready to catch some rabbits and fish? We can stop by the creek first Lina to get you cleaned up."

While Anu was mainly responsible for physical injuries, his responsibilities also lied with the mental and emotional health of his pack members. And currently judging Tuko's movements and tone certainly hinted off to the white medic that there was much going on within the dark-furred alpha's mind. Anu didn't expect an honest answer from his Alpha considering he often didn't share much of his personal affairs. The white canine did not know why he didn't open up more often but he knew better than to pry. Although this time Tuko provided him with an honest answer. Anu was confused by the answer though, "Could have been how? How conditions would be if there wasn't a division? Or how things would be if canines were never accepted into wolf packs in the first place? Or how things would be now if your past hadn't occurred the way it did?" The medic was aware of a few things about the Alpha but he didn't know much of the details.

Then the alpha's next words sent shivers down Anu's spine. That moment of how the canine appeared in front of him was an expression he had never seen on Tuko. It slightly frightened the medic in how his eyes appeared nearly shining with that light of insanity, but Tuko was quick to drop the expression. "Now Tuko tell me. Do you think there would be benefit in ending the lives of others for what? Glory, power, vengeance perhaps? Bloodshed never offers solutions. Alpha if you had spoken this to any other member they would have either agreed with you or started to fear you. Carefully think about what you desire and how it will affect others."

Once his alpha had finished answering his question, he returned one to Anu. The medic had noted that once more he was tensing up. It almost appeared as though he was afraid that Anu may turn on him or something. The big canine sighed and looked straight into the alpha's eyes as he answered his question, "I was out here gathering herbs, but now I have finished that and am preparing to return to the grounds." Upon finishing his answer he looked over to his makeshift transport and spotted an intruder. Anu's hackles raised and with as much noise as he could make he ran towards his herbs and barked loudly scaring away the birds that were trying to steal his flowers to beautify their nests. "Stupid feathered rats! Stay away from my plants! Go pick some flowers yourselves you intolerable nuisances!" While Anu had done all this he had forgotten that Tuko was nearby. He turned and bowed his head slightly, "Excuse my unsightly behavior. I cannot help but be irritated by my very enemy...birds. They are always trying to pick at my piles. Anyways I shall be heading back to the pack grounds now." Without offering another look over to the dark-furred canine, Anu grabbed the last of his vine string and began pulling his herbs away with him, his eyes ever so often looking up to look out for any feathered rodents.

Edon - Furtim In-Training
Mentions: Life. Life. Ridge Ridge

Edon sat comfortably watching his friends, having realized that there wasn't much else to do, and, quite frankly, he wasn't in the mood to play around just yet. He was still tired and he definitely wanted more rest than he'd been given that morning. His long back leg stretched out, attempting to scratch at his right ear as he let out a loud yawn. He licked at his jaw as he did so, finding himself comfortable. He may as well enjoy himself if he couldn't sleep any longer. He'd been relaxing, preparing to sink against the cool forest floor, just as Lina's voice popped up behind him. His nose twitched as he looked down at the younger pup with a soft grunt. Edon tried not to be as rude to her as he often could be, either because she was so kind to him, or because she was the Alpha's daughter.. probably a mixture of both. The pup gave a light shrug of his shoulders as he looked around the pack after hearing her question. He had seen her mother, even more so, he'd tried chasing her down. But he'd clearly lost her just moments later. "You see, Lina, I did see her.. I just don't know where she ran off to." He said simply as he turned his body to face Lina with a curious look. "Why're you all covered in mud? It's first thing in the morning." He spoke questioningly, unsure of what she could have possibly gotten herself into. Then again, Edon wouldn't be quite too surprised, she was usually found getting herself into trouble, just like he was.

Before he could get an answer however, Edon noticed Lina's mother rushing over, making him scramble a few steps back. His eyes were stuck on the pair before he turned his gaze elsewhere. Edon could still hear his Alpha worry over Lina but he tried to block it out as much as possible, wanting to mind his own business. Aside from the short snort that escaped him at the sight of Zara licking the pup's face clean.

Edon perked up at the sound of his name, however, looking up at his Alpha with curiosity. "Oh.." He trailed off slightly, not wanting to decline his Alpha's offer to train even though he really didn't want to do anything major that day. He knew he'd have to grow out of his lazy habits but now didn't feel like the right time to work on it. "That sounds quite fun." He spoke simply, nodding his head in agreement to the offer, though Zara had already turned away to speak to their Beta. "You worried her quite a bit. But you obviously know that." The young pup shrugged, reaching out to nudge Lina lightly with a paw as he pushed himself up into a proper standing position as her mother made her way back over to the two of them.

A K I L A- Viribus Medic
Akila's ears twitch at the sound of a familiar voice, her gentle gray eyes lift from her bundle of herbs and instead land on the large figure of Rhaegar. Her tail curls calmly and she dips her head politely to the lead fighter. She had often found the lead fighter in her den during her in-training years to become medic, yet since they both have grown she didn't see much of him. His words were as chilled as ever, which caused Akila to huff softly. She knew the male never got close to any wolf, her preferred to be on his own. Akila couldn't blame him.
"I am quite aware, yet in order to get certain supplies i will gladly venture into danger." her voice was gentle and smooth, her calm gray eyes watching the massive black male. "Besides." she begins, looking down at her bundle of roots. She was dwarfed by the lead fighter, yet Akila was known to have a fire in her soul when it was needed. "I can protect myself." She says gently, yet Akila knew she was often looked down upon by fighters due to her 'soft' rank.
She watches Rhaegar carefully, when a soft cry in the distance causes her ears to raise to attention. She gets to her paws and swiftly shakes out her silky white pelt, which was only complimented beautifully by the sun that fought its way through the overhead tree tops. She gently bows her head, "It was good to see you, Rhaegar. Please take care." Her eyes lingering on his for a moment before she gingerly scoops up her bundle of wrapped roots. She quickly heads for the treeline once again, ready to slip back into the territory when she stops for a moment. She carefully places her roots at her paws and looks back at the lead fighter. "Rhaegar, you should stop by some time to visit. I'm sure the alphas would love to converse with you again." she bent her head down but stopped for a moment, and without looking at him continues. "I also wouldn't mind seeing you more often, for old times sake perhaps." her voice was sweet, smooth as the thick sap that dripped from the trees. Akila was always particularly kind to the chilled fighter.
Without another word, Akila picks up her bundle and disappears into the treeline. She hurries towards the sound of voices, and recognizes them as she draws closer. It was both of her Alphas, and Tala sounded less than pleased with his mate. The snowy pelted medic carefully steps out into their view, and bows her head. She sets down her bundle of roots, licking her slender muzzle. "Alphas." she greets kindly. She could smell the hints of blood, and looked toward Shuka with mild concern. The she-wolf was favoring one of her paws slightly, yet Akila couldn't see any sign of swelling. She twitches her ears slightly and steps forward, "How may i help?" she asks with a respecting flick of her tail.

Z E N O- Furtim Beta
The Beta's ears twitch and flick to attention when Tuko appears, giving his Alpha a calm dip of his muzzle. "Good morning, Alpha." Zeno replies kindly. His alpha carries on with the patrols as usual, and Zeno watches the male disappear into the forest.
It wasn't long until Zeno spotted Zara, as usual, the alpha female was attempting to locate her pup. His ears twitch slightly when Lina appears at the treeline, before making her way over to Edon who was spectating the other in-training. Zeno was curious as to how the alpha pup had gotten so dirty, as the sun hadn't been up long. He chuckles softly, figuring she was up to her usual mischief.
Zeno turned his attention back to the litter of youngest pups, watching them as they quickly grew tired of their game with the rabbit bones. His head gently tilts as they begin to make their way back to the nursery, where he guessed they would take a nap with their mother.
Suddenly, Zeno is aware of a canine approaching him. His deep brown eyes turn towards Zara, and he greets her with a kind dip of his muzzle. She begins to inform him of her leaving, accompanied with Edon and Lina. He calmly dips his head, "Yes alpha, good luck." he replies before she turns away and heads back towards the young wolves. He watches Zara for a moment, feeling a tad bit jealous of her relationship with her young pup. He had always desired to find a mate, and to repopulate yet he hadn't seemed to have found her yet. At times, the beta would wonder if he was possibly not going to have the pleasure of raising pups.
With a shake of his head, Zeno pushes his thoughts to the back of his mind. Now was not the time to day dream about having pups, he had to watch the pack while the alphas were away. He slips out of his napping spot, and decides to sit on a decent sized basking rock beside the alpha den. The alpha pair often basked there together in the evenings, yet he figured he would use it to watch over the pack while they were away. Plus he wouldn't mind warming up his pelt, it was only just beginning to feel quite nice out again.

Shuka continued to remain on high alert for quite some time, running- heavy breaths against the breeze, a snarling whisper hidden beneath a gentle tone and the indelicate crunching of mud and leaves underfoot, there was no mistaking it now, another wolf. She stiffened her stance immensley, her back fur striaghtening a pulling into a sharp flickering arch, a warning sign of aggression as her lips pulled back ready to snarl at whoever this may be, after all she had strayed far into the depths of heir borders, it wasn't unthinkable an enemy would be ready to pounce, especially on the female alpha of their rivalling tribe, she loved the role to an extent, it made her feel powerful and protected, like she could care for and fight those she wanted, no, those she needed to do so for without the harsh words thrown at the previously troublesome pup as seen by others. More than anything though it made her feel connected, part of somethign like she'd never felt before.

As the form finally came clear and her previously overun senses from being on edge finally relaxed enough to pick up the scent her exppresion softened before turning to a small whimper, ears pressing against her head timidly, her mate, Tala. At first preparring for a long and drawn out argument about her not leaving or snapping about trying to hunt so far into her pregnancy but unexpectadly her mate isntead took on a much more gentle and caring tone, it caught her offguard in a sense and her eyes widened as she stood back up straight, fur flattening and tail swishing once or twice in curiousity, still faovuring the injured paw to quite a heavy extent, it was somewhat unusual to see him like this, but she did enjoy it even if a tad offputting compared to what she was used to, almost speechless she went to open her mouth before yet another arrived, the original wolf she'd sensed, Akila. Now with both of those who'd instructed her not to leave in front she did little more than let out a sheepish grin, picking the paw up further and wincing as she tried to step further, blood beginning to drip from the embedded thorn.

Lina
Pup to the Alphas
Mentions: Life. Life. WhispFlick WhispFlick
Lina sat as her mother clean the dirt from her fur. Her nose twitched from time to time keeping herself quiet before Zara mentioned about them going hunting together. Linas ears perked up with excitement before she stood up onto her four paws. “Yes, yes!” When she then mentioned about the other younger pup coming it only increased her happiness. “You’ll come won’t you?” Lina pondered at him. When he said yes, her tail began to wag from left to right briskly.

When her mother left she looked to Edon and sighing at his comment about her worry her mother. She knew she did it, but it was just how she was. Always wanting to see new and do new there was just something calling out to her she couldn’t resist. “I know.. I can’t help it I guess.” Lina shrugged slightly as her mother then returned. Smiles all round Lina was excited to get started. When her mother commented about a bath Linas head dropped quickly. She hated baths. “Fine..” slowly Lina began to walk to the tree line before pushing herself into Edon as play. “Come on slow poke!” She shouted out before beginning to run for the trees.

Tuko
Alpha of Furtim
Mentions: Life. Life.
Tuko stayed in his place as the medic continued his words. When he began questioning what the alpha was speaking of he almost chuckled to himself. Few knew of his original heritage, all expect his mate and the beta. But even then no doubt rumour had arose through their time living together. Yet he isn’t care why and what was spoken of him as long as it never reached back to him. If it did, then trouble was always a foot. “All of what you speak of is what I wonder could have changed the present.” He stayed lookigto him before he then shook of his fur about the question of glory, vengeance and the other listed. “It would indeed be all of those that you have listed. Though you are right. I suppose it could effect more than just myself.” The alphas eyes softened slightly as he began to calm down almost.

Upon his own question being answered Tuko nodded gently before his head twisted at the actions of the medic. He couldn’t help but chuckle to the unsightly actuonsncoming from him. When Anu called the birds his enemy it confused him slightly until he told him the reason behind it. Yet when Anu began his leave, Tuko looked up to the mountains before running after the medic. “I’m sure I can help protect your herbs.” He smiled, more relaxed than he was before as he too began looking out for the feathered nuisances.

Rhaegar

Shadow Wolf.jpg

Rheagar's eyes moved on to the bundle of herbs that Akila had collected. They seemed to be medical ones, and with her risking her life to get them, they were probably just as important. He then moved to the pond and started to drink as she claimed that she could protect herself, a statement that he found very amusing. It was somewhat difficult for him to fight some of the beasts that he had encountered around this area. For her to think she could stand a chance, let alone be able to fight some of them off. He then tilted his head upwards as Akila shook her fur, with him somewhat enjoying simply looking at her. He closed his eyes, not wanting to make himself get used to such things. As far as he was concerned, building a family with pups and such was not what he wanted to do in the slightest. He himself disliked pups in general. It was all due to his troubled past however.

The soft cry in the distance did not attract his attention too much. He was not really concerned with the well being of those in his pack, simply aiding in their defense due to being compelled to do so. Also, if he were to be without a pack in the wild, he would not be able to survive. He locked eyes with her as she invited her to come to the pack, with her mentioning how the alphas would like to talk to him. He squinted his eyes, wondering what the alphas wanted to do with him or wanted him to do. It was most likely some sort of protection thing or a creature that had to be taken down. There was also the chance that they merely wanted to talk. But Rhaegar was not too sure of that.

His look softened as Akila mentioned how she herself wanted to see him more often for "old times sake." He found this weird as they were barely acquainted, let alone friends to begin with. "Old times sake" would be him getting more hurt due to his inexperience and her seeing him more because of it. He did want to take her up on that offer though, wanting to see where this would go. As she left, he followed her to where she stood, sniffing the spot while trying to pick up her scent. He then followed it upon finding it, trailing slowly behind her while trying his best to remain hidden. He moved through the shade a kept a good distance between them. Upon her reaching her destination, Rhaegar slowed down to a silent crawl, watching the three wolves in front of him from complete silence. Both of the alphas of the pack were right there next to her, most likely here to take care of the pregnant alpha female who appeared to be damaged. Instead of showing himself he decided to keep watching.

The alpha couldn't help but smile as she watched the two pups scamper off in excitement towards the creek. She trotted after them, keeping a distance that allowed them some space but was close enough for her to be there for them if anything were to come out at them. But Zara's senses were on alert the whole time. They were especially heightened considering her only pup was away from the safety of the pack grounds. If Tuko was here he'd probably be right up her butt, but Zara saw it that Lina could handle herself to an extent.

On the way to the creek nothing out of the ordinary came up on Zara's radar so she was able to relax once they were upon the shore of the creek. "Alright Lina come here dear. Let's get you cleaned up first," she looked over to her pup as she walked into the creek. Her eyes then turned over to Edon, "If you're thirsty drink up. Fishing will probably take a bit to learn, and we'll be needing to stay still a lot so there wouldn't be too much time in between for breaks." Fishing was a hunting method some Furtims learn but it took a while for most to learn, especially when they were learning during their pup years.

While the pups did what they needed to do Zara allowed herself a drink, but she kept her eyes out at their surroundings. Despite herself relaxing, some part of her was always on high alert. It was all part of living in the wild to survive.

Anu was slightly surprised when he heard the footsteps of the alpha catching up to him. He turned to look over to Tuko feeling content to see the male alpha more relaxed than how he was earlier. It must've been Anu's talk that helped him, or so he wished it would be. But judging from his words, Tuko must've calmed down from the medic's outburst towards his enemy. The white canine couldn't help but release a sigh of embarrassment. Although he didn't regret his actions since it brought joy to another, plus Anu was smirking slightly as the alpha accompanied him.

With a slightly stuffed mouth from the vine that was in his mouth to pull the herbs. "That would be great. With you around they will surely stay away. For some reason I cannot be intimidating enough to them." Anu's eyes shifted from the dark canine over to a bird that was perched close by on a tree, watching him. "I swear. I think they gang up on me just to annoy me."
