Character Sheet - Elmas Civillian:
Name: Dayn Rowhas
Age: 57
Birthplace: Elmas Slums
Position: Civilian
Gender: Male
Personality: No nonsense, no funny business, Dayn has strict rules and is harsh on rule breakers. He is brusque, rude, and often crabby, but can be known to shower praise on those who do well. He is quick to anger and quick to judge, looking down at those who disagree with him as morons or idiots. This is no way to get a high status in Elmas however, and he knows how to twist people to get what he wants out of them. Two faced would be the perfect term to describe him, as he flatters and is suave with those he needs to get good with. He doesn't waste pleasantries- instead he uses them to their full efficiency, acutely aware when he's pushing too far. He always has a plan, some endgame that's never apparent until it's already in motion. Any plan but his plan is the wrong plan, and he's clever enough that his plans actually work, which doesn't help his ego.
Appearance: At 6'3" (1.9 m) 194 lbs (87.5 kg), he's a rather impressive man. He's obviously not as in shape as he was in his prime, but you can tell from a distance that he's still fairly toned. He wears a thick leather cuirass over a mail jacket, with leather greaves and boots over linen pants. He has a thumb length brown beard that's mostly gray, and his head is cleanly shaven. Everything about him screams "stocky", with his angular face and square shoulders- even his hands and ears don't have noticeable curves. His arms are bare and muscular, and he wears a simple cloak with a golden flask, the mark of a higher class.

Ever since he was a kid, he ran a tight ship. He had the neighborhood kids selling anything they could to make a profit, and had the sticky fingered ones stealing product to sell, his brother included. He gained a reputation quickly, and he was careful. Nothing was ever pinned on him, because nothing could be traced back to him. Once he gained the support of a inquisitive Noble, interested in skills, he started gaining influence exponentially. At age 27, he was running the largest criminal organization in Elmas. At age 30, he was running the only criminal organization in Elmas. When he was 32, he had his fingers in the pockets of almost every noble in Elmas, and indirect influence on those he didn't.
At around the same time, his brother fell in love. His brother had always had a... heart, Dayn would put it. He was always getting in the way of Dayn's plots, and that was before he had a wife. As Dayn predicted, he became even more of an annoyance, always wanting to better the country, to help those in need. But he wasn't doing it for a reason, he was just doing it to be nice.
So Dayn did what any reasonable man would and killed him.
Not with his own hands, of course not! He had some of his "loyal" men do it and pinned it on the Miners. Also not personally, but you should be understanding that by this point. He was 34 by this point, but the stress of his "work" had aged him to the mentality of a cranky old man who was done with life. When he found out his sister-in-law had, too, passed away, he feigned sadness and closed himself away from his mother, the last of his family, paying no mind to his niece without a parent. And without the annoying burr that was his brother, his business entered an age of prosperity that he thought not possible, and Elmas' economy boomed. Eventually, he found himself in a position where he no longer needed to hide in shadows, and began to work with both the Miners and The Court. Dayn was immensely prideful that the Rowhas name, which he was now the almost sole proprietor of, was equivalent in status to that of say, the Haylock family, or the Traesm family. Elmas became a utopia. No more stealing, no more backstabbing, no more crime.
At least for the rich and compliant.
For the poor, life still sucked, for lack of a better term. Oh sure, care packages came from the "heroes" of Elmas, the Good Bandits. Anyone with half a brain saw through these, they were simple PR. The last time anything substantial had come was a few weeks before the death of the Rowhas boy. But they settled, what else could they do? The merchants held all the power, and the nobles held all the merchants. They couldn't even turn to crime, or be mysteriously struck down. And so they sat, barely making due. An object in motion stays in motion unless acted on by an unbalanced force, and for an eight year old girl, that's exactly what happened.
You see, at the age of fourty-two Dayn was getting worried about what would happen when he passed away. To his business, at least. So he abducted his niece with promises of a good life and stability while he arranged for her grandmother- his mother to be poisoned. Problem solved, he could raise her to take over when he was done.
Except she was a stubborn uncontrollable free spirit.
He had been too late, if you want to indoctrinate a kid into a cult you either do it early or hope they're stupid. Well, Evelyn was a brilliant girl by all accounts and she was old enough to remember stories her grandmother had told her about. Apparently dear old granny had made his brother out to be some kind of damned hero. Fantastic. But out of some sense of guilt or hope that she might still be useful, he trained her and raised her, and maybe even loved her, just a little.
Until he had a dilemma. She was incredibly useful yet incredibly stubborn. Even at the age of twenty-three she hadn't been caught committing a burglary, but had committed countless. She had a knack for remaining unnoticed and unseen, and a knack for getting on his nerves. She wouldn't kill. She wouldn't steal from those who she claimed "didn't deserve it" (read: nice people). She wouldn't even rough people up if she could avoid it. But if she felt she could allow herself to do something there really wasn't anything to stop her. It was beyond infuriating, to come so close to perfection, yet to have perfection laugh in your face.
So he had her doing the missions no one else could, no one else would even attempt. With time, she would fail too.
For the noncompliant nobles, well, they weren't nobles for long. And with every noble that fell, Dayn's influence spread further and grew stronger. Soon, his influence would spread outside of Elmas, unless, something happened to stop him...

Strengths:
- Silver Tongue. He can persuade almost anyone to do almost anything. Only the most stalwart of wills at bulwarks of minds can resist his persuasion.
- Lackeys. He has a lot of people backing him up, with almost any skillet he requires. Especially in Elmas, you do not want to piss him off.
- Resources. His net worth is around the highest in Elmas, if not all of Juvela. Most of it is tied up in assets, but that's how you want it as a 'reformed' crimelord.
- Secret Keeper. He has a ton of secrets, many potentially harmful if they were to get out. He is almost always stressed and the mental strain of keeping certain secrets with certain people and remembering who knows what is stressful to the point of bodily harm.
- Age. He's old. His body is old. Medicine is pretty good for the rich but it still isn't great, he has aching bones and low energy.
- Temper. He is quick to anger if he doesn't get his way, and is one of those people where it's not the big things, it's all the little things that add up, one by one, until he explodes.
