The Torn Banner

Pat, it feels like to me you view this more as a game than I ever did. I want to create a story and CabalAnomicPotato CabalAnomicPotato is aware of how I want to portray my nation to create such a story. That is why I encourage people to contact me so we can hash out something interesting instead of bickering about population size.

As for the colonies, yeah. They're off the map. Estoga used to be one, but then it rebelled.
It doesn't seem like your using the pop for advantages, and I'm liking the story, so I agree.

Pat Pat I'm fine with you thinking the way you do, but I abhor this type of petty bickering. I might just be taking it the wrong way, sure. I haven't been in the healthiest of mindsets as of late, but can we please leave the actual decision to the one who makes the decisions?

Hey, so I know I replied to the wrong thing however I think it'd make an interesting story if we were die hard enemies such as a France vs. England or Scotland vs. England back in the medieval period. I could have been a former territory however rebelled and claimed independence after a long struggle that lasted a decade?

That or we could have been long time enemies in politics and militaries due to insults spanning before first records of our empire showed up? Rival empires would be interesting in my opinion for this roleplay as we could try to destroy each other not just through war but also politically since we're neighbors and both of us are pretty large. I'll get my faction sheet up soon and can edit depending on what we decide.

We can also wish out details later (this took me a minute to write and I'm not trying my best for a competent story right now lol).

The way I made the Empire out to be, the more appropriate option might be that of a rebelled territory, but if you do not desire that, then that's fine with me as well.

That would be fine then. The idea of a rebelled territory also interests me. Perhaps my country rebelled recently (as in a span of at least 100 years) due to cultural differences and dislike of the king which they believed are tyrants?

The Monarch might very well be seen as a tyrant by some, I guess your people weren't exactly the mosted devoted to the Church of the Sacrosanct however (The religiously devoted are usually loyal even though their personal situation might seem pretty shitty quite simply due to the fact that their leader is a descendent of the Kharakazor bloodline).

Granted, the bloodline is in a bit of a shaky situation due to the simple lack of descendents.

Cool then, I'll be sure to write something in my lore and see what you think of it!

By the way, lack of descendents and Estoga are completely unrelated, at least for now.

You talking about heirs to the Estogan throne or marrying Estogans to get heirs? The first isn't an issue and the second would be hilarious.
Orsosian: So uh.... I kinda need to marry one of your ladies to uh get kids.
Estogans: Wait, after you murdered half our warriors?
Orosians: So I heard you had a surplus of women after the war, excellent!

It seems you don't understand how the Empire marries.

Yeah, they only marry within their own family.

That being said, scandals are nice.

Well, I got a question about the population that's 600,000 over the cap.

I am very well aware of that fact, although the thing that I'm trying to do with the Empire is just that; highly overpopulated and bound to explode given even the slightest disturbance in normalcy. If their resources aren't delivered on time infrastructure staggers, if their peoples aren't given adequate food then they revolt, and most crucially if the oil isn't supplied then the entire nation shuts down.

The Empire of Oros is an incredibly tough opponent to beat in a conventional battle, therefore I made it so that smarts are necessary to topple the giant. 'Course, if everyone knows about that fact it wouldn't exactly be much of a challenge.

Estoga knows the oil weakness and is very willing to manipulate it.
