The Time Travelers [Inactive]

Luca walked through the crowd bumping into many shoulders and constantly saying sorry absently. His odd eyes darted around the street as he held tightly onto the opening of his bag. Luca had just gotton some rare food from the market with his own money and planned on giving one to each group member including himself. It was a food they had once all shared before which they all loved, but it only came a couple times every other year so Luca had planned to get a hold of it. Luca brushed his bangs out of his eyes with a gloved hand and looked up at the towns large clock, 2:03 it read. I should hurry up, he thought silently just as something bumped into his lower abdomen, he looked down and saw a skinny frail boy with bright orange hair sitting on the ground, "I'm sorry." The boy croaked, "please don't hurt me." The boy held up his hands to cover his face as Luca crouched down to see the boy eye to eye. The boy wore what seemed like rags and Luca couldn't tell his skin color from the amount of dirt that was coating the boy. "I'm sorry." The boy said again just before Luca lifted a hand and gently lowers the boys hands. "I bumped into you, I'm sorry." Luca began and he tilted his head to the side and smiled slightly "are you alright?" The boy looked shocked at Luca's reaction to him bumping into him but he soon nodded yes. " Good," Luca began but he turned away from the boy and looked around the street and only saw a couple of people but none of them looked at them with interest, "where are your parents?" Luca turned back to the boy as painful feelings and memories flowed into his mind, he couldn't help a frown to fall on his face. Please have parents please please, the boy didn't look discouraged as he spoke and it lifted the heaviness on Luca's heart. " They're out at the market begging for food." The answer still said they where poor like many others but it did mean he wasn't alone on the streets. Luca turned down to his bag and back up at the boy, " are you hungry?" Luca slipped his hand Into his bag and gripped the round surface of the fruit, "well my stomach doesn't hurt like it use to." The boy gave a toothy grin and stared at Luca, Luca took his hand out of the bag and held out the fruit, this food had cost most of his personnel money but he didn't need it. The boys eyes brightened as both of his small hands clasped the fruit, "really?" He spoke in astonishment all Luca did was nod I response with the same small smile on his face. " thank you mister, thanks a lot!" The boy gripped the fruit tight to his chest, " I just want one thing in return," the boy seemed to slightly deflate, "relax, I just want your name." The boy looked at him with confused bright eyes but soon answered, "it's Andrew." Luca nodded and stood "well stay safe Andrew." Luca quickly ruffled the boys hair and watched him run down the nearest alley way. He finally continued to walk back to base after the boys fiery hair was gone from sight.

There was barely any noise in her room, only the swift movements of her black pen against the paper. Writing for her wasn't a hobby or a favorite pass time; it was just something to do to keep her mind occupied. She needed to keep her thoughts off of them, and the only way she thought she could do that was spending some time writing about them. Writing their memories together and even all of their heartbreaks helped. She needed to write down their struggles and their happy times. It all needed to be out. That way, she could forget easier. Forgetting made the hole in her heart easier to bare.

Dear Jessa,

One day I hope you will forgive me for leaving. I know you are only four and can barely remember who I am, but I want to tell you that I love you. You are my sister - my only sister actually seeing that everyone else is male. I'm sorry about that too. You're going to have to grow up with hormone filled boys, Jess, but I know you'll come out on top. You are a smart girl and will teach all of your brothers who's boss.

Stay strong, Jess.

Tara

Tara folded the piece of paper before placing it in a box she kept underneath her bed. That box was filled with letters she wrote, most of them being addressed to her sister Jessa. Some were addressed to the boys and others were for her mother. They were all there. Each one was written in the same place: on the floor with her back against the bed. Each letter was folded in the same way and was written with the same pen. They all seemed to be identical until you opened them. Her writing may not of been the best - actually it was probably the worst, but her message was still clear. She wrote and wrote to them, not expecting a single reply. It was hurt her even more if they did. It would make Tara miss them more.

Tara closed the lid gently, trying not to make a sound. She didn't know why, but she always did. She pushed the box back underneath her bed, her quilt just covering it as it brushed the ground. She stood and brushed some dust from her pants. Let's go see what the others are up to, she thought to herself. She took her red hair and pulled it to the side in a braid as she exited her room.
