Fantasy The Tales of Three: The Lost, The Forgotten, and The Privileged

Evilpokerchip

I am no mortal. I am Death Banana.
We were just children when it happened, but we all remember that night. The night the star fell from the sky. It exploded into the forest and our warriors went to find out what it was.

They came back scared, with two members missing, and scars that would always haunt their memory.

We didn't understand it, until a poison began spreading from the forest. The trees began to die and crystalize in their death - very beautiful, but very poisonous as well. The animals turned into creatures of nightmare, and the plants became fungi and spores, all dripping with poison more deadly than our world knew.

The adults were cautious of the poison, dying with even a touch, but the children were not killed, presumably because our cells were still growing and multiplying. We began to mutate with a touch. Not physically, but in our cells. We began mutating powers. The powers to talk to the dead, manipulate people or things, change water into silver, control the elements, summon creatures, and so many more.

Then, we moved underwater and a school was created to help us harness these powers.

That is how Devonshyre came to be.

The first day of anything was always something scary. You never knew what would happen. Sure, maybe you'd meet some new friends, but there was also the chance that you could embarass yourself, make an enemy, earn hate from a teacher, and basically ruin your entire year. The first day was too important.

Thats why Emily was prepared.

She clenched the strap of her messenger bag in one hand, while in the other, she held her acceptance card. It was just a little golden swipe card that gave her access to the water ways - a tram that led directly to Devonshyre - and as she sat down in one of the seats, she took a glance around. There were more people than she had thought, all with golden cards in their hands, all attending their first day.

Emily had been on this tram a few times when her father, Eldermaster Arctic, took her to visit Samael, but this time seemed different. Maybe because she was on her own, or maybe because she was taking her rightful place in the school and was finally going to learn to control her powers.

She glanced down at her hands as they pulsed with static electricity, but nothing else. That was pretty much the extent of her powers so far. Sometimes she tried to force them out, but she always felt as if something wasnt right - like there was a barrier in the way to stop her from reaching too far. She assumed that she simply didnt know how to use them correctly, and no matter how much Samael tried to teach her, he didn't quite know either, summing it up to her having very odd powers.

She shoved her hand and the golden card into her jacket pocket as the tram stopped before the blue glass gates. They swept open with a rush of water and the tram lurched forward, closing one gate, letting the water drain, and then opening the second gate that led to the shyre.

The doors opened and everyone piled out into the central water way square. Emily glanced at a few people who had never seen this before, and grinned to herself as their mouths hung open in awe.

But Emily continued forward, recognizing everything as if it was her own bedroom, and she continued towards the tall glistening white gates that separated her from her future, but she was so ready for it.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

"Tyrus. Wake up." Mikael jabbed a finger into his cheek.

"The minnows are here." Lamian snickered with his twin brother.

Tyrus opened his eyes and glared at his two roomates, both of which he hated with a passion. He grabbed Mikaels finger and sent his ice through Mikaels bloodstream, forcing him to pull away with a cry of pain.

"What did I tell you about touching me?" Tyrus hissed, swinging his legs off the side of his bed. He glanced to their side of the room which was a disaster, as usual, and grimaced.

He didnt bother fixing his hair or his clothes as he walked out to the main area of the Skulls dorm. Everything was black and red, the colors of the darkness, as Mixie called it, and personally he thought it was poor taste - but he had no opinion in the matter. Afterall, he was the newest member of the group, only a year had passed since he infiltrated their ranks.

Tyrus sat down at the edge of a couch and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

"Did you have good dreams?" A voice purred in his ear.

"No thanks to you." He replied to Mixie. She giggled and flipped over the back of the couch, landing perfectly on her favorite cushion. She pulled out a crystal ball and waved her hand over it, replaying his nightmares from the previous night.

He leaned his head back, silently cursing her. Mixie was an Astral manipulator and specialized in giving people nightmares just for the fun of it.

After her, the rest of the group sauntered out. First Lamian and Mikael (the twins), then Kyro, followed by Sierra, and then finally, Tyrus' older brother - Tristan. The strongest Skull member, and the leader of the pack of wolves. He had one the Battle of the Tides two years in a row, and Tyrus knew he wouldnt be easy to defeat.

These were the 6 notoriously evil members of the school, and it wasn't easy blending in with them, but Tyrus wouldn't let anything stand in his way of getting revenge against Tristan. He wanted to personally see his brothers last breath before delivering the finishing blow.

Carter cleared his throat as he adjusted his clothing. His eyes trailing over his own place of residence. Not too bad really. They sure knew how to make the privileged feel welcomed that's for sure. He was able to snag a room of his own with quite the good view of the outside gates. His voyage to the school wasn't exactly too long; however, his father insisted on a few bodyguards accompanying him. Once his things were placed in the room, he turned to the two men in suits.

"I appreciate the assistance gentleman. I'll be able to take it here. Send my regards to my father."

The two men nodded and orderly began to remove themselves from the room. Going to a place like this was going to take a lot of getting use to. However, the boy was strong and intended to learn what he could in order help out anyway he could. He began to open his things placing them around to make the place more home like. He brought quite a few things; clothing, reading material, and so on. He hung up a few pictures of his family. Things were starting to look a lot better. A small smile was on his lips once he opened up another box.

"Ah. Perfect."

He began to take out his vinyl player and large record collection ranging from classical to indie rock. This was was a bit quiet. Perhaps a little music would help him get things unpacked faster. He opened his dorm door looking around. This place was a ghost town. Was he too early? He shrugged and propped the door open before placing on a nice record to play. A small chuckling escaping his lips.

Lucky panted heavily as she began to dash her way into the nearest ride to the school. The tram was packed; most likely filled with others there. She took a deep breath once she found herself a seat. She placed down her bag and smiled.

"Whew! I was almost gonna miss it."

She said happily laughing. She was more than excited to make her way over to the school. Her acceptance card practically glued to her hand by now. She even brought along a camera to take pictures of the place. Maybe she would make a nice scrap book for her mother. She stood and took a few pictures of the tram and some out the window as they began to approach the gates. She giggled happily.

"Ahh I'm so excited! I wonder what it's gonna be like. Who's my roommate going to be? Ohh!"

She said happily practically bouncing in her seat.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily stood among the crowd in the main hall, staring up at the headmasters office. The glistening, blue glass door stood in the center of a balcony, with curved staircases going down either side of it and stretching out to the wall. The main hall had no windows, but three massive banners along either wall. The symbols on them were a Hammer, an open Book, a Diamond, a Skull, a Hooded Figure, and a Mask.

She silently recited what each of them stood for, as Samael had told her many times before. The Hammer for the Elites, the Book for the Lotus, the Diamond for the Dolls/Knights, the Skull for the Skulls, the figure for the Privileged who had no group, and the Mask for the regulars - because there could be anyone behind a mask.

Emily shuffled closer to someone as the hall got more crowded and apologized as she almost tripped over them. When she regained her balance, she looked up to see students beginning to line up on either side of the staircase, recognizing them instantly as the Privileged - at least, the ones who belonged to a group. She eyed each group for the Skulls, knowing that they were notorious for picking out certain new students to pick on. She hoped she wasn't one of them, but it seemed that for now, many Privs were still missing, and only a few stood, silently judging everyone below.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus followed at the tail end of the line as the Skulls made their way to the main hall, talking about who they were going to pick as their "playmate" for the year.

He had no interest in their conversation, and luckily they paid him no mind. He felt groggy from the previous nights terrors that Mixie so graciously gifted him, and rubbed the sleep from his eyes once more, hoping this time some magic would happen and he would feel completely awake.

An open door caught his attention as they strolled through the commons area, the one room where Privs could interact with the other groups if they so chose.

The door to the Elite dorm hung open and Tyrus silently flitted through it. All of the Privs should have been making their way to the main hall by now to greet the 'minnows' as Lamian labeled them.

He glanced around once, noticing that the Elites dorm was much nicer than the Skulls dorm decoration wise, and he was about to leave until he heard music playing from one of the rooms.

Upon investigation, he found one of the Elites he had never met before staring out the window.

"Hey." Tyrus cleared his throat, "You're going to miss the welcome party."

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg

Once things were looking neat and tight, he took a moment to sit and get a look and what he had done. Yep. Was definitely starting to look like home. Well, aside from guards hounding him down at every moment. It took quite a lot of convincing with the school to not allow his fathers body guards to be with him. He hadn't had time alone for... hell, he couldn't even remember. It felt liberated for once in his life. Maybe he could actually enjoy his time here.

He paused slightly hearing footsteps in the hall. An unfamiliar face popping in and speaking of some sot of welcoming party. Oh right, he had almost forgot about the actual student activities. A part of him really didn't want to do all of that socializing stuff. In fact, he already had a book in mind that he wanted to open up. Though, he did get a bit curious about what sorts of students would be there.

"Ah. Right. I'll be sure to make my way down momentarily."

He stood from his seat before grabbing his keys and heading down to this so called welcoming party. This place was packed. A small groan escaped his lips as he stayed along with the other privileged at the moment. Unwilling to speak and uncaring.

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

The girls eyes began to widen as she looked around. There was so many students! This was really beginning to get exciting! She quickly took out her camera and started to take pictures of the place and a few students. Her eyes trailing up to the banners. Ah yes! The mask was hers of course. She smiled taking a picture of the banners as well before looking through the crowd. There also were a few who looked a bit more fancier than she was. Maybe they were rich kids or something.

"Oh oh! I wonder if there's gonna be snacks~."

The girl mumbled to herself before listening in on a few whispers. The kids spoke of some sort of speaker coming to greet them. Made since. It was their first day and they would probably be greeted soon.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily watched as the blue glass door swung open and Samael walked out, followed by Ciel and Eve. Samael placed his hands on the railing in front of him and a few gasps echoed through the room as some people noticed that one of his hands was stripped of flesh and muscle, leaving only pale white bone. His presence demanded a certain silence and everyone hushed instantly, something Emily always admired about Samael.

"Welcome, students." Samael spoke in a slow, monotonous tone, "I am Samael, headmaster of Devonshyre."

He paused for a minute as Ciel cleared his throat and Samael sighed inaudibly, "And this is Ciel and Eve, my co-headmasters."

"I will keep this short as I'm sure you're all eager to start your new lives. I know all of you, individually, even if you dont know me. So I know your powers, and what you're capable of. I have assigned each of you to a dorm with two people per room, switching is not allowed. You are required to attend either 3 classes or take on 3 missions a week, to further develop your powers. The people you see on the staircases before you are my Privileged. They are your superiors and you will respect them." Samael took a moment to shoot a glare at the Skulls, who were talking under their breaths, "All of you have the potential to become a Privileged if you so choose, and tomorrow night we will have a welcome party. At this party you may choose one of my four groups to mentor you."

Samael snapped his fingers and a small sheet of paper appeared in front of each student, "That is your dorm and room number. You may go now. If you have any questions, each dorm has a helper alarm by the front door. Push it and one of my counsel will come to assist you." Without another word, Samael disappeared back into his office, but not before shooting me a pointed glance. I grabbed the paper and eyed the writing, "Dorm 4, Room 2"

She glanced up to the Privs once more, catching sight of a member of the Elite she had never seen before. A handsome guy with blond and black hair and black rimmed glasses. She blushed and cleared her throat as she spun around and followed the rest of the crowd to find her room.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus nodded to the guy before rushing out the door and catching up to the rest of the Skulls, pretending like he hadnt gone anywhere in the first place. Sierra sent him a backwards glare as if she knew, but he kept a straight face as he stared back and she left it alone.

He lined up along the staircase with the other Skulls and glanced down to the crowd. No one in particular stood out to him as they all looked weak and confused, but he didnt miss the other whispering about who they were going to choose. Samael had already began talking and he understood the respect that Samaels voice demanded, but the Skulls didnt seem to care.

"What about that guy with the blue hair over there? He looks like a strong independent type. My favorite to break." Mixie snickered, pointing out a blue haired guy who stood with his shoulders back, arms crossed, and a wide grin on his face as if he was on top of the world. He looked like the perfect type for Mixie and he sighed with relief as he knew that meant her powers would be directed to someone other than him.

Lamian and Mikael nudged eachother as they pointed out a brown haired girl with bright blue eyes and a button nose.

"She's a beauty." Lamian snickered.

"I saw her first." Mikael growled. Lamian rolled his eyes and wrapped an arm through his brothers, his red hair falling in his devious eyes.

"We've always shared our toys, haven't we?" He grinned. His brothers face split into a mirror image but Tyrus turned his attention away, centering on his brother who was choosing his playmate as well.

"What do you think, babe?" Tristan whispered to Sierra, whose eyes roamed over the crowd.

"The little pink one, there." She nodded her head and both Tyrus and Tristan followed her line of sight.

"Seriously?" Tristan laughed sarcastically but Tyrus noticed his brothers gaze, and the fact that he stared for just a bit too long at the girl. Granted, she was cute. Her long pink hair framed her heart shaped face and her black eyeliner made her look like a feisty one.

Tyrus hummed to himself as he too, stared just a bit too long.

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg

Carter folded his arms and leaked against the staircase as the headmaster began to speak. His eyes trailing over the crowd of people. He wondered if what the man said was true. If he knew so much about them, he wondered if his father had a role in discussing this with the school. He hated having information spread about him like wildfire. Then again, he wouldn't be surprise if his father took part in funding for this institution. His eyes began to wonder among the other privileged as well. First to the skulls. The one's he had seen before.

"Odd... They don't exactly seem like the kind bunch.. Probably best to avoid them."

Carter thought to himself. His body shivering slightly as he saw some whisper and look among the crowd. He then looked to a few others catching some girls eyeing him and giggling among each other. A small sigh escaping his lips. Once the headmaster was finished speaking, he turned intending to head back to his room before things got too crowded. What a waste of time.

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

Lucky's eyes widened as she looked to the head masters began to make their appearance. Wow they looked to professional! The reality of it was sinking in. She was really here! She couldn't help but smile as he spoke. Once he mentioned the privileged on the stair case, her eyes trailed to them eyeing them all slowly.

"So those are the top of the to?.. Hm! It's decided then. I'm gonna be up there someday!"

She thought to herself eager. Once they were dismissed, she looked to her paper slip to see which room she would be in. She expected to be roomed with another female so maybe whoever she was would be cool.

"Dorm 4, Room 2.. Ok!"

She said while picking up her bag and hurrying among the crowd. She giggled happily so excited to make a new friend.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Despite Emily knowing Devonshyre like the back of her hand, she had never had a reason to explore the dorms, and couldn't help getting lost along the way. She glanced around nervously as she entered a part of the school she hadnt seen before. After wandering around aimlessly, she leaned up against a wall, sighing in defeat.

"Yeah, thats how I felt on my first day too." A voice said beside her.

Emily jumped a bit and looked up to see a guy leaning against the wall next to her with a huge grin on his tanned face. He had a strong jawline, a dazzling perfect smile, beautiful blue eyes, and a long blond tuft of hair atop the shaved sides of his head.

Before Emily had a chance to say anything, the guy held out his hand, "I'm Chad. But you can call me your guardian angel - because I'd follow you anywhere you'd like to go."

Emily blushed slightly and glanced away, "Uh... Hi, I'm Emily."

Chad reached down and grabbed Emily's hand, "Here," He began, "Let me hold that for you. It looks a little heavy."

Emily glanced down at her hand in his, "My... hand?" She asked.

Chad flashed her a smile, "Our hand." He corrected, as he peeled the paper from her other hand, "I'll take you to your dorm, but if you'd like to stop along the way, my room is only a word away, all you have to do is ask." He winked as he led her to her dorm and for once in her life, Emily was speechless.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus escaped just as quickly as Samael stopped talking and made his way down to the crowd, keeping his eyes on the girl with the pink hair. He wasn't sure why exactly, maybe to warn her that his brother was coming after her, or maybe he simply wanted to talk to her himself, but whatever it was, he couldn't stop himself from finding her.

As he put a hand on her shoulder to spin her around, the words caught in his chest and suddenly it got a little difficult to breathe.

"Help?" Was all he managed to get out and he mentally punched himself. He took a breath before gathering himself, "You... Do you need help? I know its a little confusing for newcomers... uh, finding your way around, that is." He stammered but recovered quickly.

"Uh, my name is Tyrus." He added as an after thought, holding out his hand for her to shake.

"I'm a Privileged, so I know my way around pretty well... in case you needed a guide..." He mentally kicked himself this time, telling his mind to stop talking, and he happened to glance back up to the Skulls who were no longer there, except Tristan, who was watching him closely.

His head picked up its beat and he subconsciously knew that he had somehow fucked himself over for making a beeline towards this girl, but he just couldn't help himself, maybe it was her innocence, or the way her eyes reminded him of their mother, but he wanted to know her, and to keep her safe from him.

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg

"Ugh. What the hell..."

Carter grit his teeth. Even though he left early, there was still a packed hallway of people. This was getting really annoying. He was starting to get tired of seeing these people's faces. He just wanted to go to his quiet little corner of the world. He began to move himself through the crowd avoiding any people trying to get his attention. He accidentally bumped into some guy trying to hit on a girl. Carter was able to catch his cheesy line about holding her hand.

"Pardon me."

He said sternly to the two before leaving without a word. Once he had reached the Privileged part of the housing, he took a deep breath. He opened the door and went to his vinyl player again placing on some music. He went and laid on his bed huffing.

"This... Is going to take some getting use to."

He was so use to being alone; even in school. And to have so many students around, well, it was different.

"How the hell am I gonna do this..."

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

Lucky adjusted her bag ready to make her way. However, she wasn't really sure on which way to go. That was, until she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"Huh?"

She quickly turned to see a boy there. She smiled though he looked really nervous like he was going to throw up. Once he began to talk, she tilted her head.

"Huh? You need help?"

She looked a little concerned. Maybe he was going to throw up. However, once he introduced himself and offered to take her things, she happily giggled accepting his hand shake.

"Howdy! I'm Lucky. It's nice to meet you. And yea help would be great. Do you know how to get here?"

She said casually. Lucky was a social butterfly. It was never a problem to talk to others.

"Oh! Your one of the privileged! That's so cool. You guys looked so cool standing up there. Haha must be great!"

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily was mostly zoned out in her own mind as Chad rambled the entire way to the dorm. The few times she actually bothered to listen, he was saying something about the time he ran out of coffee, but luckily his father had coffee beans growing in the back yard and he had to pick them, grind them, and brew them himself. Or the time he went diving with his 'bros' and when he got back his mother kicked him out of the house because he had been gone for three weeks without letting her know and it was 'super uncool'.

Chad was definitely hot, but she wasn't sure if there was much else beneath the surface.

Finally, she saw the dorm number and reached out to open the door.

"Arent you going to invite me inside?" Chad held his arms open wide with a huge grin and Emily smiled at him.

"Uh, no offense but I dont know you. Thanks for showing me the way, though." She nodded before shutting the door behind her.

"Okay!" She heard Chad call through the door, "Well, the Chad master is always just a thought away!"

Emily rolled her eyes as she walked into her dorm. There was one girl sitting on the couch in the living room area, and one guy exploring the kitchen, but other than that the dorm seemed pretty empty. She wandered over to her room and sat her stuff down on one of the beds, "I guess i'll find out who my roommate is soon enough." She mumbled to herself.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus smiled nervously at her comment, "Yeah, we'll just remember we're not all good people."

He grabbed her things from her and the piece of paper, checking what dorm it was that he was going to take her too. Dorm 4. That was easy enough to get to.

He led the way and thought about some small talk to make, "Great weather we've been having lately, yeah?"

Once again, he mentally kicked himself. What a stupid thing to ask - they live underwater!

"I mean - I guess you're not allowed on the surface so you wouldn't really know..." He mumbled.

He shut his mouth as he thought that maybe he should stop talking.

"So tell me about yourself." He finally said, glancing at the signs posted around to make sure he was going the right way. They weren't very far away now.

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg

Carter grumbled as he heard the sound of chattering outside his door. Ok, now he was really getting annoyed. He stood and walked to the door only to see three girls outside giggling. Once they noticed he was there, they paused.

"Yes may I help you?" He said slightly annoyed.

"See I told you this was his room!" One whispered.

"O-Oh nothing we were just passing by." Another said

Carter sighed and held his head. This was ridiculous. What the hell was up with people here? He straightened his clothes.

"I could use a drink of water...." He mumbled before heading to the kitchen.

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

Lucky hummed as she followed along with the nice boy carrying her things. She didn't expect to make friends so quick. She tilted her head slightly as she heard him.

"Hm? What do you mean? I mean, you seem like a pretty nice person for helping me out"

She smiled before pausing at his next question. She wondered if the boy forgot they were under water.

"Weather... underwater?"

She gave a small innocent giggle before being asked about herself. She placed her finger on her chin and began to think.

"Well, my name is Lucky. I'm 23. I like sweets, puppies, and rock music!"

She chuckled and smiled

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily began unpacking her things, though she didn't bring very much. Arctic had always taught her that material items weren't very important so other than her clothes, she probably brought about 5 important things.

The first two were her favorite pieces of jewelry that she never went anywhere without. An Egyptian medallion that she wore around her neck and her fathers Eldermaster ring, something that was passed down the family blood lines.

Besides that, she had her diary, her dousing rod, and a book of thunder magic that Samael had given to her to help her learn to control her powers - which never seemed to work no matter how hard she tried.

She threw the three items down on her bed and placed the jewelry in its rightful spot on her body before turning to the door. She heard voices and poked her head out to see a black haired boy and a pink haired girl walking in.

Roomates?

Tyrus nodded to Lucky and decided to walk the rest of the way in silence, to avoid embarrassing himself any further in front of her. The hallways were still pretty crowded as people scattered to find their rooms and Tyrus had to shove through a few groups, making sure that Lucky was still behind him.

He glanced down at the camera in her hand, "Whats up with the camera?" He finally asked.

He understood the attraction of taking pictures and saving memories, but he thought that carrying a camera around everywhere was sort of a nuisance.

Finally they got to Dorm 4 and Tyrus opened the door for her.

"I guess this is your new dorm." As he spoke he glanced at the second door on the right that stood open and caught sight of a brown haired girl peeking out at them. The girl that Mikael and Lamian were eyeing.

He sighed to himself as he glanced to Lucky, somehow knowing that these two would cause more trouble than they were worth.

Carter began to finally relax once the noise outside began to settle. He supposed everyone was starting to find their rooms. However, his silence was interrupted once he heard the door open. Of course. Nothing more than one of his fathers body guards. How did the head masters allow this in the first place.

"Young sir, your father has requested a phone call." The man said.

"Tell him I'm busy." Carter said not lifting his eyes off of his book.

"It seems urgent sir." The man replied.

"Tell him I'm dead." Carter said.

"But young sir-" The man replied.

"Tell him I have underwater diarrhea." He replied before having the phone shoved to him.

Lucky continued to hum as they continued forward. Her smiling remaining on her face even though the strange boy was finished talking it seemed. He watched as the boy pushed others out of the way.

"I really do appreciate the help."

She said bubbly as he questioned her camera. She smiled and lifted it taking the boys picture.

"I'm going to make a big scrap book to send home to my mom. I want to let her know that things are ok."

She said happily thinking of her mother. Once they had reached the room, she gasped happily before dashing in and wrapping her arms around the girl.

"ROOMIE! WERE GONNA HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!!"

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emilys eyes widened a bit as the pink haired girl ran up and hugged her. She sent a confused look to the black haired boy, who simply shrugged in return, and Emily pulled the girl off gently.

"Uh, hi, roomie?" She smiled, "I'm Emily. I already put my stuff down, but if you prefer one side of the room over the other just let me know." She sent the girl another smile.

Devonshyre seemed to have some strange people and Emily glanced down at the camera in the girls hand. It reminded her of her mother, who always had a camera in her hands. Granted, she used it to concentrate her powers, but nonetheless that camera never left her side. She silently wondered if this girl was the same and what type of powers she had.

She stepped aside to let the girl roam the room and watched the black haired guy approach, "Are you a dorm mate?" She asked.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus watched Lucky practically jump the girl who called herself Emily and stepped forward.

"Dorm mate?" Tyrus laughed humorlessly, "Hardly. I was just showing her the way." He put Lucky's belongings on the group by the door and shoved his hands in his pocket.

"I hope you two are comfortable here, its a nice place, I guess." He shrugged, "If you ever need me, I'll be around."

With that, he walked back the way her came and swiftly made his way back to the Skulls dorm.

He was greeted with a warm welcome as his brother slammed his face into the ground as soon as he stepped foot inside the doors, "You think you can steal my playmate?" He hissed.

Tyrus glared up at his brother, pushing him off and jumping to his feet, prepared to fight, "What are you talking about?"

"That girl. I saw her first." He growled, cracking his knuckles.

"I dont care if you saw her first, she's fair game." Tyrus shot back.

Tristan didnt like that answer and ran forward, landing a punch right in Tyrus' gut. Tyrus used his armor form to create an ice barrier between his skin and his brothers punch, but his brother was still stronger than him, and it shattered his armor, leaving him winded and gasping on the floor.

"Next time you decide to pull some shit like that, I'll break your legs." Tristan spit on him before walking away to his room.

Tyrus crused him silently and bolted back out the door, finding no comfort in this god forsaken school. He ran to the only quiet place he knew - the library.

After a long and annoying conversation with his father, Carter was starting to get aggravated. He quickly hung up before throwing the phone back to the body guard. The guard bowed as usual and began to take his leave.

"Dammit. Of course his ass is going to be watching my every move. Can I get some damn peace?!"

He grumbled before huffing. He stood. He felt like he needed a smoke or something. Or at least somewhere to think. He gathered his things and began to leave his room. He did hear about a library in the wing somewhere. He smiled as he finally entered. There was so many books he could just get lost in for hours. He went and found a nice table near the door and sat opening up something interesting.

The girl eagerly squealed before letting go of her roommate. This was her first time sharing anything with anyone. She hoped the two would become great friends. She smiled happily.

"Thank you again for your help Tyrus. You're a real sweetheart. Hope to see you around!"

She said while waving to the male as he left. She then turned to Emily and smiled.

"Oh! This is for my memory scrap book that I will send home. Come on lets take a picture together!"

She said happily while wrapping her arm around the girl. She smiled and held out the camera taking their picture and reviewed it happy with the look.

"Oh my gosh! You are so pretty."

She said happily while showing her the photo.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily smiled unexpectedly as Lucky wrapped her arm around her and when she showed Emily the picture, Emily noticed the awkward and confused smile she had on her face and couldn't help but laugh.

"Thats a pretty accurate picture." She took off her jacket and threw it onto her bed, covering the book that Samael had given her. That was something she had to read on her own time, without any distractions and she preferred people not to see it.

She glanced out the door to see that no one else had come into the dorm yet, "So are we the only ones who live here?" She asked with a short laugh.

Emily tapped her foot as she crossed her arms. Now that she had found her room and set down her stuff, she wondered what other parts of the school she had never seen before. After all, she never had full access before.

"Do you want to go exploring?" Emily eyed Lucky with a mischievous grin. She wrapped her arm through Lucky's, not really giving her a choice in the matter and pulled her out of the dorm, "I heard that there are some forbidden books in the library."

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus crashed through the library door clutching his stomach with his eyes glued to the floor. He didnt bother to look up as he was sure everyones eyes fell on him and he strode to the very back of the library. He fell into the chained link fence that blocked off the forbidden books section. He used the fence to drag himself to the gate and clutched the lock in his hands, using his powers to freeze the lock and shatter it within his palms. He pushed the door open and collapsed to the floor, hidden in the shadows.

The books whispered to him but he ignored them, just like he always did. He had no interest in books, forbidden or not, but enjoyed the voices that whispered to him. It made him feel a little less alone, but he knew he was in complete solitary - because no one dared venture into the forbidden books section. Rumors said there was a book of ancient evil somewhere inside, but he never even bothered to look for it - he really didnt care about anything except defeating his brother.

He cursed his brother and slammed his fist into the ground. No matter how much he trained, it never seemed to be enough to defeat Tristan. He glanced around the darkness quickly and scoffed. Maybe there was a book in here that could give him otherworldly powers.

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg

Carter continued to skim through his book until he desired something else. He sighed and stood dusting himself off before venturing around from isle to isle. There really was a lot to be offered her. However, a sudden rumbling near by made him uncomfortable. He turned the corner spotting a boy entering the forbidden part of the library.

"What!"

He grumbled knowing that no one was allowed back there. And from the looks of it, the boy had broke his way in. He ventured into the dark and folded his arms tapping his foot lightly.

"This place was locked off for a reason. And by the looks of your breaking in, I'm assuming you don't have proper authorization to be here."

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

Lucky smiled. She happily placed her camera down and began to unpack her things and decorate. Lots of bright colors and photographs everywhere. She smiled.

"There! Perfect."

She said before turning to Emily.

"Exploring!? Totally! I never go the chance to come for the tour so I don't know the place very well. Maybe we can figure out where all of our classes and stuff are gonna be before we actually start."

She said eagerly while hopping off her bed and going to get her camera. Just in cased she needed a few pictures.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily eyed Lucky as she spoke, "I can show you where to go. I know this place pretty well. I used to explore what I could when I was younger. The student areas were off limits though - thats where we're going." She grinned.

She thought of what wonders she hadnt seen yet, and all the places she hadnt been but set her main focus on the library. Maybe she could find a book in the forbidden section that would tell her something about her powers. Of course, she was criminalizing Lucky, but she was sure they wouldn't get into too much trouble. Emily was great at getting out of sticky situations... for the most part.

She saw the doors to the library as they turned a corner but stopped in her tracks as a familiar tuft of blond hair skidded in their way.

"Ladies." Chads grin sparkled as he eyes the two of them and held out his arms, "What a coincidence meeting you two here." He crossed his arms and Emily noticed him flexing his muscles.

"It is a coincidence- you know how to read?" Emily shot him a sarcastic smile and pulled Lucky past him, but he ran in front of them once more.

"Whoa- whats with the 'tude, babe?" He laughed and wrapped his arms around herself and Lucky, pulling them towards the library, "Why not stay a while and chat?"

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus glared up at the voice as someone disturbed his silence and glared when he saw it was the Elite kid from earlier.

"I assume you don't have proper authorization to talk to me." Tyrus growled. He stared down at the ground and shook his head.

"I know it was locked off for a reason, I know very well. This is the one place I always come to be undisturbed." He glanced up at the guy, "Usually, I'm undisturbed."

He lifted his knees to his chest and rested his elbows on his knees, letting his arms hang away from him, "Did you need something, anyways?"

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg
"I suggest finding somewhere else to deal with your issues. This place was off limits for a reason. The information in here is fragile and should not be disturbed. Violation of those terms is considered breaking the rules."

Carter said sternly. He was always a firm rule follower and as an elite, he was expected to uphold certain laws. That's how he was taught. He lifted his sleeves not exactly expecting to get out of hand but prepared to if needed.

"Now. This is your final warning. Kindly exit this place or be removed by force."

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

"Woah! You know this place? Ok lead the way Emily!"

She cheered happily while chatting with her roommate. However with a sudden blond guy in front of him, she blinked a bit. She looked at Emily. Did she know this guy.

"Huh? Who is this guy Emily?"

She said a bit confused. Once she was pulled along and the male followed, she folded her arms.

"Don't tell me he's your boyfriend or something?..."

She whispered to her roommate avoiding contact with the strange guy.

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus glared up at the guy as he rolled up his sleeves. So he wanted a fight, did he?

He stood up with a sigh and crossed his arms, letting a thin layer of armor coat his skin, "I'm really not in the mood to be told off by a snobby do-gooder." Tyrus growled.

"I dare you to force me out." He threatened, extending one arm in an attack stance, "I come here all the time and I've never bothered the books, but they get excited when a fight breaks out." Tyrus glanced over all the books on their shelves, some beginning to glow faintly as he listened to their growing excitement, the chatter almost deafening him.

"They are mostly evil, you know? They want us to fight, should we give them what they're asking for?" He asked slowly, waiting for the stuck up Elite to make the first move.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

"Boyfriend?" Emily scoffed, not bothering to glance up at Chad who was going off on one of his usual rants by now, which she once again wasn't paying attention to, "I just met the dude this morning,"

When they passed through the library doors Emily got a chill of growing power coming from somewhere behind the library. She pulled away from Chad and grabbed Lucky with her, "Theres something going on." She stated, though no one else in the library seemed to notice it.

She walked to the back of the library where she felt the power coming from and her breath caught in her throat. An entire section of the library was gated off, but it seemed like the gate had been broken into, and waves of anger and power were wafting out from inside of it. She let go of Lucky, letting her to chose to come along or not as she inspected the gate. When she walked through the gate, it was as if she entered a different universe. She heard hurried whispers and put a hand to her head as a headache began to grow.

In the shadows, she could just barely make out two people who looked like they were about to fight, "Hey, what are you guys doing in here?" She called.

Oh.Sangwoo.full.2183968.jpg

"If you are so familiar with the things that lie in here then why do you insist on coming here so often? Are you not aware of what these books are able to do? The corruption that they can cause?"

He rolled his eyes as he began to lift his hand. His palm glowing a blinding light .

"I don't need to be lectured by some dirty mutt who can' follow simple instructions."

He snarled before lifting his hand releasing a beam of life towards the boy. He was precise with his attack ensuring nothing would be harmed aside from his target.

tumblr_oxu4ye6Nkk1utfseao2_r1_1280.png

"Oh ok. Because I was going to question your taste in men."

She whispered back before blinking. Once Emily began to pull her along, she looked around nervously.

"H-Huh? Wait what's going on Emily? What are you talking about?"

She said before gasping seeing Tyrus and another boy. She covered her mouth as she saw the sudden beam of light from the elite. The power was off the charts. She could even feel it.

"Ahh stop! Stop fighting!"

Tyrus_zpssv8xkcnu.jpg

Tyrus jumped to the side just as the beam of light shot directly to where he was standing. So it was a fight that he wanted.

"The books cause corruption, that true." Tyrus formed spiked ice balls in his hand and lobbed them towards the Elite, "But I am stronger than they are - you cannot corrupt something thats already evil." He growled, jumping away from more rays of death.

Tyrus glanced to the entrance as he saw Lucky and Emily standing there, "W-what are you two doing here!?" He yelled, pausing briefly but keeping his eye out for another attack from the Elite, "Get out of here, or this psycho will attack you too." He rushed, continuing to flit around the room, staying on his toes in order to dodge the attacks.

He sighed to himself, already tired of the entire day. Why did everyone want his death today? He could tell it was going to be a great year.

Emily_zpstl648ylr.jpg

Emily gasped as the beam of light shattered against the books. She didnt know much about this place, but she could feel the dark energy coming from it.

"Be careful in here! You two shouldn't be fighting in this area!" She yelled, taking a few more steps into the room. She watched the beams light up the darkness like lightning and with every clap of light, she watched Tyrus appear in a different part of the room. She chewed on her lip, an ominous feeling growing in the pit of her stomach as she watched the two. Tyrus didn't seem like he was fighting back, and she wondered why the other guy was attacking him. She recognized him as the Elite she had seen on the staircase and her opinion of him darkened just a bit.

He didnt seem like a good person if he was attacking Tyrus for no reason.

"You need to stop shooting those things in here!" Emily demanded his attention as she walked right up to him and jabbed his chest, "If you break open one of these books, you're going to unleash something terrible!" She wasnt exactly sure if what she said was correct, but she felt like it was.
