The Adventure starts once at least half the roles are filled
The Adventure
Our story begins in a small town by the name of Oakhurst, just around the beginning of Summer. The days are getting warmer, but the nights are still occasionally dropping close to, or below, freezing levels. The age is of Knights and Dragons.
Arriving in Oakhurst, you shall begin your journey. Either by exploring what the town offers and hearing the rumors the locals have to say, or by following the legends of the ancient Citadel without giving another thought to the town.
The Rules
Please Read ALL pertinent information before applying for a dungeoneering position!
This adventure involves a once-proud fortress that fell into the earth in an age long past. Rechristened the Sunless Citadel, its echoing, broken halls now house nefarious races and malign creatures. Evil has taken root at the citadel's core, which is deep within a subterranean garden of blighted foliage. Here a terrible tree and its dark shepherd plot in darkness.
The tree, called the Gulthias Tree, is shepherded by a twisted druid, Belak the Outcast. Belak was drawn to the buried citadel twelve years ago, following stories of oddly enchanted fruit to their source. The druid found an age-old fortress pulled below the earth by some past magically invoked devastation. With the ancient inhabitants long dispersed, vile and opportunistic creatures common to lightless dungeons infested the subterranean ruins. But at the old fortress's core, Belak the Outcast stumbled upon the Twilight Grove. He discovered at the grove's heart the Gulthias Tree, which sprouted from a wooden stake used to slay an ancient vampire.
Upon the Gulthias Tree, magical fruit extrudes forth.: A single perfect ruby-red apple ripens at the summer solstice, and a single albino apple ripens at the winter solstice. The midsummer fruit grants vigor, health, and life, while the midwinter fruit steals the same. In the years since Belak's arrival, the enchanted fruit has enjoyed wider dispersal in the surrounding lands, promoting good and ill. But the seed of either fruit, if allowed to sprout, brings forth only ill: Vaguely humanoid and evilly animated stick bundles known as twig blights eventually spring forth.

- Post types and Lengths
-
This RP will cross breed Casual and Detailed. Which means, I ask that you post at least 1-4 times a week. If you post more, that's lovely, if not, at least you met requirement. As for post length, I would like to see at least 2, or 4, nicely thought out paragraphs. If you write more, then you write more. If not, that's okay too.
- We are all literate to a point. All I really care about is that you punctuate. Seriously. Please please please punctuate!! It helps everyone understand exactly what you are meaning in a sentence. If you just type a bunch of stuff and there are no "." or "?" or "!" Who will be able to distinguish the emotion behind what you are writing? And it will end up sounding like a bunch of jumbled ramblings. THANKS!

Your characters will be given specific information pertaining to the adventure that I, the Narrator, will determine before the start of the roleplay.
Character Images: There is no preferred imagery. Use whatever you want to use, and do not hate on others for what they want to use. If you can't deal with an anime image, then don't join. These are ONLY for character appearance use. Just because it's an anime image, does not mean this is an anime setting. Because it's not. (Not to mention, unless you use images from things like LotR or something, it'll be hard to find images of Half-orcs, Gnomes, Elves, and the like in realistic form.)
For environments, and how it affects your characters - Please dictate with common sense. Your character sees as well at night as you do when there are no lights to help other than the moon and stars. If common sense tells you that something is difficult or not possible, then your character probably can't complete the task at hand. -- Yes, this is fantasy, but there is still obstacles that hit the realm of real-world physics and the like.
Everyone should know - No godmodding, No bunnying, Respect the other Players, and No killing of players unless Original Character Owner has contacted me and wishes to remove themselves from the RP. So no random swords through company's guts. Seriously. ((Unless they are NPC characters that you find along the route through the dungeon. You can "kill" those if you wish.))
ROMANCE: Allowed. MxM, MxF, FxF... I don't care! These are your characters. Just make sure it's a mutual agreement between both parties involved that your characters have a love interest.
Era setting: Medieval - What there is: Bows and arrows, swords, armor. Tunics and Breeches (Medieval terms for shirts and pants). Cloaks (instead of jackets, hoodies, or sweaters). If you have a question about equipment, just think of this: Was it a real thing in Camelot? Or Merlin? If the answer is no, then it's not in this Dungeon. - This RP's Rules

This RP will be essentially turn-based. Everyone follows the Narrator which is me, the Game Master. Please read my posts carefully so that you may achieve the most possible knowledge about the rooms in which you find yourselves. Story progression is through the Narrator since I will be giving descriptions of all the new rooms. "Well, what if I want to return to a room I've already been to?" you might be asking. No, you do not need me to return to previous rooms visited. It's only NEW rooms that require my attention. Though I do ask if your character returns to a previously visited room, tag me so that I may track your character so as to give accurate information on any new rooms you find yourself moving into.
This RP - As long as you follow RpN's site rules, I honestly don't care how your characters act, speak, or treat others. These are diverse races, nationalities, and personalities. I want to see them flourish as Dungeoneering Adventurers. (Aka, swearing (controlled) is allowed, ect. ect. Romance (fade to black), drinking, smoking, most things considered "Mature Content" that isn't sex... all allowed. If you need to know what RpN will allow, read the site rules. You should have already... xD )
You must all put Cupcakes in your character post. I don't care where you put it, as long as it is there! I will NOT consider any character that does not have this! Likewise, if you are accepted, your post will be liked, and I will personally private message you to inform you that you've been accepted.
Keep ALL OOC posts IN THE OOC THREAD TAB. I will edit any and all posts I find in the In-Game thread tab and remove all OOC. I will then post your statement, and quote it in the OOC tab. Please do not give me added work. This RP is going to be big enough. Thank you.
I am the setting creator. Which is why my title is Narrator. The basic plot: Get from Start to Finish of the dungeon. How you get there, and what entails your achievements to get there is all on you as a character.
If you have times where you are unable to post, or you find yourself simply wanting to leave the RP all together, PLEASE contact me! Tell me if you are just leaving for a little while, or leaving permanently. I will only allow 4 days of absence without notification before I will terminate your character.
Not everyone understands everything. If someone asks a question in OOC, do NOT be mean about it. Just answer the question, and keep rolling. Don't expect everyone to know everything.
