First mod is 'done'. We just need a time to all sit down and play. :-P


Unfortunately, everyone but Leslie will be out of town this weekend, so this weekend is probably unlikely to start.

ok well 1pm unless anyone complains since I plan on sneaking out to the range. 4 hours is what I had in mind. Ben are you still greenlight with the mod?
 
Yup, first mod is ready to go. I need to do some last-minute tuning, but it should be relatively trivial.


We'll see how fast you guys can solve it. :-P
 
Any chance we could see some more character fictions before we start? I intend to try rolling to recognize everyone at the beginning of the first mod. So it'd be nice to know what I'd learn about you in the off chance that I succeed.
 
I've been threatening to write a fiction. I'll do my best to get it done before Saturday, but no promises. It will most likely have to do with my character as a young girl, but I'll try to throw some more current stuff in too.
 
I've got one written up, but I'm going to edit it a bit more before I post it. Apparently I need to put more points in subtlety, lol.
 
I think we're going to either need to start at noon next Saturday or keep it a little shorter so that we're definitely done by 5. Going to be celebrating my grandma's 86th birthday that evening. Also, just as a head's up, I think Robert is busy on the 24th, and we're going to be at my mom's in Richmond on May 8th. I really wish I had more than one day a week off so I didn't have to cram everything in on Saturdays.
 
Hey guys, you might notice the two sub-forums up at the top now. I realized that the fiction thread was getting crowded, and wanted to move it to its own section. I also wanted to get us a real character section so that it's easier for all of us to look up characters (not just thrown together on one thread).


Sometime today/tonight I'll move all of those over into something organized, but my general idea was:


Fictions get their own thread, so people can comment on them if they want. The exceptions to this are the summary fictions, which will have a thread per adventure/mod (so everyone posts into that one).


Characters get their own thread. I think sheet + some background on the character makes the most sense. We could also put the first background fiction into this thread as well.
 
Question: Does anyone know where I would find the Kobune pilot school or path? I'd like to look at it. Toying around with an idea for a character that would be Shiori's sister in case she ever kicks the bucket, or maybe just to use as an alt.

Path of Entry: Yoritomo bushi 1


Path of Egress: Bushi 2 or Tsuruchi 1


In combat, ignore penalties for adverse conditions, such as attacking from lower ground or uneven terrain. When opponents flank you or attack you from higher ground, gain a bonus to your TN equal to 2xInsight.


While you are aboard a ship, once per round, you may gain a bonus to any skill roll equal to 2xWater.
