Personally I like how the show deals with mature topics in a way that a kid watching could sort of understand. And you can tell Steven Universe is telling an over-arcing story with dynamic characters, as opposed to the negative continuity and one-dimensional characters that most cartoons thrive on.

I could tell by your Beast Icon (OTGW was so good) and I really love it when characters who have what are commonly seen as negative traits are shown in a positive light, like "snobby" pearl and just. Such good characters.
