The Seven - Do opposites attract?

Opposites Attract?

In this world, you live in just a regular town in Alaska. Nothing interesting, yet.

14 teens in Alaska State High School are the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Seven Holy Virtues.

Though complete opposites, these sins and virtues collide. Finding friendship, finding love.

There may be obstacles, road blocks, puzzles, and many hardships.

But, if it's really love, though it may be hard, it will be worth it.

Can you solve the problems? Can you face the...

It's the beginning of the school year, the cold breeze whips your face as you enter the high school. Worried about what's to come...

(You guys can post whatever from here! Make sure it's more than two sentences and have fun!)

Naomi tossed her hair from her shoulder as she walked into school. She was finally a senior, something she would use to her advantage. The underclassmen would have to do what she said, when she said it. Smirking, she headed to the locker that had been assigned to her. As she walked, she bit her lip and played a mental game of hot or not, winking at those she deemed hot.

Skyler walks into the high school, she can remember almost everyone's face except the freshmen. Sort of smiling brightly, she walks to her locker and starts putting in her books. She places her mirror back in place and looks at herself, fixing her hair and such, then a sophomore walks over to her and yanks the mirror from the locker door. "Oh Skyler right?" The young girl asks, giggling with her friends. Skyler nodded and looked at the mirror, "Can I have it?" the young girl says while having a small sassy pose. Skyler nodded again and the group of girls ran off laughing, "Uhm who are you again?" Skyler said smiling, glad she made someone laugh. She just turned to the inside of her locker and shook her head, "Maybe I'll see her in my classes..." She then grabbed her books and went to her first class, English.

Marcus walked into his high school, and flicked his cigarette into the trash can next to the door. With his headphones over one ear with heavy metal music playing he walk in, and exhaled a small cloud of smoke. His eyes first glanced over to Skyler as her mirror was being taken from her locker. His first reaction was that he looked down and gave a small laugh. " She's just way too nice.." The next sight which caught his eye was Naomi looking over each person, and playing her normal winking game. He had known Naomi from a class last year, but never really wished to talk to her. She seemed to flirty for his tastes, and tried to keep minimal contact with her. Then an idea came to mind, and he decided to have a little fun on his first day back. Marcus kept his normal pace, and walked by Naomi. Without a moment of hesitation he kissed her on the lips, then moved on past her leaving a note in her hands reading as follows " Payback for last year." In Marcus's head he knew this wasn't the most practical way to her get back, and he had planned for a better way, but this was spur of the moment.

After his run in with Naomi, he quickened his pace slightly, and held his camouflage backpack closer, as he turned the corner. His locker was down the hall by his AP Bio class. A smile came across his face, as he shook his head laughing, his bright red hair smoke along with his head. " This is defiantly going to be an interesting year."

Skyler looked out her door and saw Marcus kiss Naomi. She sort of sat back up to see and Marcus walked away quickly. Were they dating or something? Well, she wasn't surprised by Naomi, she dated lots of guys. But, I guess it was odd for her to see it so early in the morning. She'd usually just see that stuff after school. Skyler looked back at the clock 5 minutes till school starts.

Vince walked in keeping his head low, not wanting to cause any trouble... At least not on his first day. People bumped into him on their way to class and he had to stop himself from sticking his foot out and tripping him. 'Idiots.' he thought to himself. He hoped the kids this year wouldn't mess with him, he really was not looking forward to this year. He walked into class and slipped silently into a chair in the back of the classroom.

Once Marcus grabbed some items from his locker, and jumped into the class Vince had slipped into, which was his first block. His eyes glanced over everyone, and his mind began to quickly do its work. "Sl*t,wh*re, try hard, teacher's pet, don't like you, you, and defiantly you." after his mind has done his judging he let out a mutter under his breath "Man I don't like any of these people, f*ck." His eyes then looked in the back, as he saw Vince, and he gave him a large grin. "This may actually be fun.." He made his way to the back of the class , and took the seat to the left of Vince. " Look who decided to crawl his happy a*s out of bed. "

Dallin Azmat Haben

School wasn't something Dallin usually took particular joy in. The mornings meant that he had to be up way too early - couldn't show up looking anything less than perfect, after all, - something that wouldn’t be so problematic if he didn't have a habit of staying out particularly late as well. The first day, however, was different. He enjoyed making an entrance, especially for this of all years. He was a senior this year, and while he'd risen to the top fairly quickly (a fact about which he was not at all surprised, but which certainly pleased him) this was the final year of his reign, and the one in which he was guaranteed superiority without having to earn it over and over. Not that he hadn't worked for his place - one thing that could be said about Dallin was that he followed through with his boasts, and he'd certainly carried through his promise to become one of the most noticed and important people in the senior year.

Student body president. He likely wouldn't do much of the actual work associated with the role - that's what underlings were for, after all - but it was a title he was quite pleased to have earned, and one he'd campaigned hard for the year previous. Some might consider him an over achiever - after all he made a point to be involved in every and any club, sport, and activity that he had talent for. And he made a point of working himself hard enough that he showed talent in just about everything it was possible to sign up for. The result was that he had a jam-packed schedule (especially for a senior, since they were supposed to be taking it fairly easy during their last year of highschool, with their focus more or less directed solely on the hunt for colleges), but it did have the benefit of making sure he was noticed.

And he did love to be noticed. He made a point of it, as he was today, pulling up in his freshly washed (and newly purchased, thanks to his parents who seemed to think that material goods made up for their general lack of love and regular absences) saab convertible - a car which had proved shockingly capable in the snowier months thanks to it's Swiss origin, but which was bought more for it's aesthetic anyway. He arrived just early enough to allow himself a leisurely walk in to collect his schedule and locate his locker, setting a pace that spoke of lazy importance, as if he knew the world would wait for him if only because it had no other choice. His lanky figure held within it a casual elegance, an image carefully put together with hours of preparation that morning, detailed specifically to give off the impression of someone who was devastatingly handsome but who didn't care to exploit it - a suggestion that he was so used to such physical perfection in his life that he no longer felt the need to highlight it within himself. Of course, this air of carelessness was one he'd painstakingly put together, a fact which contradicted the entire atmosphere he sought to create, but so long as no one knew he had spent the entirety of his morning making sure he'd looked like he'd rolled out of bed like a modern day Adonis.

His hands slid into the pockets of the light blazer he wore, tailored to fit him perfectly but worn open in a casual waste of the cut. One brow cocked upwards as he watched Marcus - a boy he was only lightly aware of, he did tend to keep a half-interested eye on those below him - plant one on Naomi - someone he was far more interested in, if only for her physical attractiveness. She was somewhat too easy for his tastes, though he couldn’t deny her attractive nature. Dallin claimed that he would settle for nothing but the best, which, to him, mean meant something that he and no one else could have. He was the self-declared best at all things after all, and he wasn't of the mind to settle for anything he thought beneath him, though he wouldn't withhold the enjoyment of her company once in a while - she was certainly more than good enough for him by pure physical standards. And he certainly didn't mind her taste at all - in fact, if he wasn't so utterly picky about things he would certainly drive after someone as desirable as Naomi. But someone another could pick up was clearly not good enough for him - he wanted someone no one but he could claim, how else might he convince everyone that he was so clearly held to a higher standard of being?

None the less, he was certainly worth his attention, and he stopped beside her locker, leaning against it with the same sense of casual prowess that he always carried about him. His eyebrow still raised, he turned to the woman,

"A new conquest or an old one, still desperate for you?" he asked, his tone half a purring tease, half honest interest. "I didn't think you were the type to try the same thing twice."

TL;DR in OOC comments)

Vince shot a dirty look at the boy who had sloppily plopped his self down in the seat next to him. "Do I know you?" he snapped. His temper getting the best of him. He observed the boy who had spoken to him. Truth was, he like the guts the boy had, it was almost as if he were untouchable. Definitely the type of guy he'd like to be friends with. To bad his chance was probably low due to his snarky comment.

"Come on Vinny, you know me. Remember English 10 last year, we killed that project we had to do. Then we went to Naomi's party, and I got you with an actual girl who should show you a good time." He laughed to him, but the grin across his face stayed. He began to pull off his black leather bomber jacket, and played it on the back of his chair. Under his jacket he wore a short sleeved Atreyu shirt, with a pair of black jeans. " And you remember the time you first had a drink at that party, and you ended up getting so drunk you passed out in the bathroom?!" Marcus shook his head, and covered his mouth to try, and stop laughing."

Vince paused then tilted his head at Marcus. He then smiled in recognition and punched the guys shoulder. "Yeah good times." He shook his head quickly as if trying to shake the cobwebs out of his brain. It had been a long summer that he spent away from everyone it wasn't surprising to him that he had forgotten his friend. Everything is running together these days, and he wasn't quite sure how to slow it down. "Plus that was not the first time I drunk. You put somethig in it I swear. Don't call me Vinny though." He hated that nickname, it made him sound like some jerk from jersey shore. Wait... That was the name of someone from jersey shore.

When Jax saw Naomi and Marcus kiss he knew to keep walking to his class. When he sat down he quickly got out his books while seated next to Vince and Marcus sadly sat next to him. Jax wasn't in the mood to be social but he had to make some friends for this year. He had a ton last year but where the hell where they all?! He looked to the guys next to him as they argued, heating the tension in the back row. He sighed, quietly.

When they made up he sighed again, only this time he had this feeling of relief. He shook his head. How could a guy like that get a better looking guy a girl? I guess girls like the bad boys...Or the wannabe bad boys of course. He could tell Marcus was a wannabe tough ass. Vince seemed a bit more innocent than Marcus but what would Jax know? He only saw these two guys at parties and in the hallway and possibly a few classes.

Asmodel Kade

The morning was cold and blustery, one that Asmodel could already feel chilling his cheeks and bringing with it the thread of a cold even within the short walk across the school parking lot. The junior buried himself in his coat, pulling the faux-fur lined hood up over his copper locks, drawing the strings over it tight so that only the freckled bridge of his nose and his clear blue eyes peered from the resulting hole. Really, he should be used to the weather by now . Living this far north cold was simply a fact of life, and yet he found himself shivering even in the comparative warmth of August, bundled up in a winter coat in order to keep the chill away from his bones.

There were only a few minutes before classes, and yet he didn't speed up his pace, walking carefully over the cold ground - a short figure, almost completely swallowed by the bulk of his coat, bringing about a full marshmallowification of his form thanks to the almost comically overlarge coat. He made his way into the school, removing his coat only when fully into the halls, revealing a button down shirt and a simple sweater vest, pausing to take it off before carrying on into the office. There were a few students before him - no doubt late comers, hurrying to grab their schedules before taking off to class - each of them clamoring for the woman working the front desk to get them their schedules before they were late. Asmodel stepped patiently to the back, waiting for them to clear out, and allowing a few more students who were clearly more in a rush than he was to push past him before finally stepping up to the desk only when everyone else had cleared out.

The secretary smiled at him and helped him get his schedule after only a moment's wait, and he returned the smile in turn, thanking her before leaving the room to find his locker. It took him a minute or two, and when he got there he methodically put away his coat and put away the books he had pre-ordered from his classes into his locker, leaving only the ones necessary for his first class in his bag. That done, he turned towards his given class, making his way into the room and pausing once in the doorway to look over the room for a moment before finding a seat in the middle of the room, setting down his books, binder, and pencil case.

(and since he's a junior I'm going to assume he's in the other juniors' classes so...

Skyler looked over to see her classmates, two rebels, a shy boy, the rich goodie two shoes, and some others she fuzzily recognized. Guess this is her first period class. The whole year. She sighed, maybe the other classes will be nicer. "hey" a random boy asked, "can I use your pencil?" Skyler looked at her case and then her pencil, surprisingly it was the only one she had since most of the money her foster parents go to the other children, suddenly the boy just took the pencil and quickly said thanks. Though there was the little part of her that said to get it back. But she just shook her head and took out a yellow highlighter, a pencil is like a buck right? Not worth the fuss, besides guess he's happy now he has a pencil. she just waited for the teacher to speak and finish the school day

(Agh. >.< Nobody said anything about this being started already!)

Aster neglected to actually wake up on time for her first day os school, but she never really did get to school on time. She groaned and got up, throwing on a ripped up grey tank top over her black bikini top that she had yet to wash from going to the beach a week ago. She slid on a pair of shorts and grabbed her hairbrush, managing to brush her hair out a bit and make herself look acceptable for the public eye. Aster then moved to her makeup counter and slapped on some black eyeshadow, mascara, and messily applied a plum-colored lipstick on her lips. There, she was ready. She walked downstairs and left the house right away, listening to her mom lecture her on the way to her new school.

Aster got out of the car and looked around, everyone else looked so prim and proper here, she looked like a peasant. She then realized everyone was wearing coats, and she couldn't even feel the cold against her bare legs and arms. She must've been used to it. Oh well, Aster didn't mind. She slowly walked to the office, looking at the secretaries groggily and ignoring anyone else who may be in the room. "Aster Klein." She said, waiting for her schedule.

Once the schedule was handed to her, she made her way to class, ignoring everyone else in the hallways, she didn't really care to make conversation, school was for learning anyways, not for making friends and whatnot. Aster walked into her first class, noticing there were only about 5-10 people there at the moment, she raised an eyebrow and picked a seat in the back, away from everyone, and she kicked her flip-flop clas feet on the desk, leaning back and waiting for the rest to arrive.

Asmodel Kade

"Hey, can I borrow your pencil?"

Asmodel looked up at the question, at first thinking it was directed at him, only to notice that it was actually focused on the girl in front of him. He watched the exchange, as a fellow student snagged the pencil without waiting for an answer, a frown settling on his features as he noticed the girl whose pencil had been taken take out a high lighter instead. Biting down slightly on his lower lip he opened his own pencil case - thoroughly stocked for the beginning of the year - and took out one of his pencils, a mechanical one, purple in colour, before closing the box.

"Here. You can use mine, since he took yours," he offered, leaning forward to hand it to the girl in front of him. "You won't be able to read your notes without straining your eyes if you take them with a highlighter, and I have more than enough."

(@Laney )

While Naomi's eyes had widened in shock when she was suddenly kissed, she smirked almost instantly as well. Her hands grasped at his shirt, keeping him close for longer than she knew he wanted. However when he finally pulled away from her and scurried away, she looking at the note in her hand, almost bursting into a fit of laughter. "Yeah, quite the way to get me back," she said with a roll of her hazel eyes.

She strutted over to her locker, hips swaying and catching the eyes of many, even earning her a whistle or two, something that got her going every time. Now, she seemed to have a permanent smirk, starting to plan out how her year would go already. Naomi was pulled from her dream cloud at the sound of Dallin's voice and she laughed once more, though it was a soft sort of laugh.

"You know me better than that, I only try things twice if I," she paused, scrunching up her nose, "love it the first time. And we all know that that has happened once and very again. But he thought that was a good form of payback for flirting with him last year. Clearly, the poor boy doesn't know what pay back is. That was the perfect way to start my year!"

(@Renn Skye)

Skyler looked at the pencil, then took it hesitantly. "Thanks" she said quietly, observing the mechanical pencil as if it's a foreign object, "I'll pay you back, I promise" she gave a faint smile. Sort of regretting thinking about him as a goody two shoes, she then looked at him, wanting to say something. Maybe a hey, I'm skyler, what's up bro? Nah, she just looked back down at her paper.

Dallin Azmat Haben

A chuckle rumbled out of Dallin's throat, low and amused, his eyes sparking with light entertainment. "Kissing you is never a punishment for anyone, Naomi - but least of all for you," he responded, grinning. What a pretentious boy, to think that his kiss would be enough to set her off kilter. In his experience Naomi was arguably one of the most unphasable girls in school, at least when it came to advances - she was such a flirt herself he couldn't picture someone out-doing her. Even he stayed away from that particular one-upmanship competition. It was one he knew he could not win - while he might be the physical equivalent of her in male form (or the slightly more attractive, if you asked him) in terms of flat-out flirting she was utterly unshakable. And any attempt to pass her up in that could only end one way - in bed. And while that was pleasant enough on occasion now was hardly the time.

"Will you string him along for it? Or do you plan to leave him hanging without a chance for your attempts? He is a bit… lower than yourself, both in class and year -" he had to bite back a chuckle at the pun. Classless and below her in grade - funny, right? Man, he was just the wittiest, wasn't he? "What is he? A sophomore? Junior? He should know better than to think he really has a chance with you if you don't instigate it."

(@SetMeFree )

Marcus looked off from Vince, and looked over at Jax. "Hey, weren't you the kid who got his a*s owned by one of the male cheerleaders? God your name was on the tip of my tongue… James… No.. Jessie.. Nah too redneck… Um…Jax! Yea thats right.." He gave the kid a smirk, and would playfully push Vince. " Hey Vince you remember that right? How could you forget that?" His attention went back to Jax, with a friendly grin. " So how was your summer you crazy bloke?"

Asmodel Kade

"Don't worry about it," Asmodel responded, his lips curving up into a soft smile. "I have plenty, you can keep it." And if he ran out he could always run to the store and pick up another bulk pack. It wasn't like they were particularly hard to come by - he lost enough every year that he'd be buying more before the semester was out anyway, he was sure of it. So it was no hardship to offer his own to someone else.

"I'm Asmodel, by the way," he added, after a slight pause, unsure if it was the right time to interject or not. Perhaps the conversation had run it's course, but he figured he'd let the pause hang only long enough to signify a change of subject, rather than a complete end of discussion.

(@Laney )

Vince growled quietly under his breath scooting away from Marcus. He remembered why he'd taking a summer off, to much hands on contact. "Chill out dude. Don't be such an a*s." It's not like he was bestfriends with Jax, actually he didn't like him at all, but that didn't give Marcus the right to be a jerk to everyone and then play it off like they're great pals.

He then returned his attention to Jax, giving him a dirty look. It wasn't even like he had done anything wrong to Vince but the fact that he was so quiet just really got under his skin. It was like he was always hiding something and it disgusted him.

Skyler looked back up and smiled shortly, "I'm Skyler." She replied after that small pause. Skyler thought of how nice he was, how he can just give a MECHANICAL pencil to her without giving a thought, how much do those cost? Probably a lot. He seemed like a nice guy, maybe they'll be friends later on the year.

Oh wow, another awkward silence. Skyler was thinking of what to say, maybe questions or reciting poems? She hasn't really talked much to people so it was so weird. "so uhm how long have you been to this highschool?" She asked. Good, nice and casual. Skyler gave herself a little mental high five

Marcus saw Vince's reaction, and nodded. He knew he had gone over a little much, but remember who he had spoken to. He knew Vince had issues with Jax, and was there when the two nearly fought each other back in sophomore year. Vince thought about his actions, and blamed them on his lack of seeing his Alaskan friends. During his summer Marcus preferred to be California, with his close friends., but he did miss Skyler, Naomi, Vince, and a few others. "Well this is awkward.." His mind began to think, and he looked over at the front looking for anyone else to come in.
