Fantasy The Return of Corruption

Arabelle got so angry at Ari that she punched him, hard. "Get the fuck away from me!" she shouted, glaring at him through her tears. "Don't you dare question me!"

Ari took the punch. It hurt but he didn't move. "Do you want to save Sakuga? Or are you still on the fact that she's gone in the first place?"

Arabelle stormed away. She didn't understand why he was so mean to her. She had a mark on her cheek from Tyr's slap, a broken nose from Bailey's punch, and a bruise from Dean's kick. She felt like the world was against her and she had nothing left to live for. She just needed her little girl. She needed Sakaga. She needed someone who understood what she was going through that wouldn't hit her and yell at her. She was scared.

"Oh no you don't!" Ari tackled her onto the ground, his blade held at her back. "Hate me all you want, but you're gonna answer my question: Do you want to save Sakuga? Yes or fucking No?"

She cried out in pain and struggled against him. "What do you fucking think!?" she shouted, tears streaming down her face. She struggled as hard as she could to escape from him.

"That doesn't sound like a yes or a no to me!"

"YES!" she screamed, fighting against him. She hated him. Oh, how Tyr had been wrong. How wrong had been everyone. Ari didn't like her. He hated her.

~MEANWHILE~

Tyr pulled the arrow from the deer's eye. I wonder how Ari and Arabelle are doing, Tyr thought.

"Then why in the fuck are you trying to kill yourself!? Huh?! Will that help her?!? Will that save her?! THINK WOMAN!"

Ari pressed his blade into her back, but didn't penetrate. "Sakuga is out there being tortured, waiting for YOU to save her! Not Me! Not Tyr! Not the Child Slave! Not Dean! YOU! We. Need. YOU. She. Needs YOU!

Arabelle cried harder. "Get the fuck off of me! Leave me alone!" she screamed at him. She couldn't get him off of her. He was making her feel worse and worse.

"We need our Leader back, not fucking Arabelle! We need someone who will try to save our team, not kill herself because they're in danger! I busted my ass carrying you into this forest! Want to know why? It's the same fucking reason I dropped everything to march to my death by your side without hesitation! You're her mother, ok?" He sighed and jumped off her back. "So why weren't you willing to go save her?"

"Will you two stop!" Bailey called, looking up from the papers in her hands. "Ari, I know your trying to help, but take it back a few notches. And Arabelle, please, listen to him! I swear you two are gonna kill each other, and we can't save the world like that. Now calm down, and talk like civilized people!"

Arabelle stared at the ground and didn't move when he jumped off. She just stayed there. In order to be a leader she couldn't be herself. "Then maybe you should be the leader. If you don't need Arabelle then you should take over, because Arabelle and the leader are the same person. Don't you dare separate me from my duties. I am a leader and I am Arabelle. If you don't think I'm worthy then fine. Go on your own mission, but I'm not going to listen to you slam me for being upset."

Ari laughed. "I don't give a damn that you're upset. Hell, I'm fucking upset. It's because you'd rather kill yourself than save someone you say you want to save. That's not the Leader Arabelle. That's bullshit Arabelle. You went against this entire country to take down a mad king because that's what you felt you needed to do for yourself. You're going against this country again because it's something you feel that you need to do..........yet somehow it never occurred in your mind to save someone you care about. I don't know what the fuck that is. Can you tell me? What's a rational man to do?"

Arabelle wanted to squeeze the life out of him. He was infuriating. "We're leaving now." she said coldly, standing up and packing up her tent. She had a dark and angry expression on her face. These people had all seemingly turned against her. She packed up quickly and walked away towards Toron.

She was silent as they walked. She had accepted that he hated her. She understood that. She just walked. All she had was Sakaga. If she lost her she would certainly kill herself.

"We're leaving," Bailey said, putting the now dry clothes from yesterday on, and packing her stuff. She put put the fire and followed Ari and Arabelle.

Safety Hammer]Tyr walked back with a deer over his shoulders. He looked at Ari. "What'd I miss?" [URL="https://www.rpnation.com/profile/10876-kylesar1/ said:

He spoke aloud to Tyr (who was in the clearing) while he was following her. They hadn't yet made it to the end of the forest but it was in her hearing range "Oi, she hates me, but doesn't understand that her life is more important to me than her feelings. I'd rather you hate me alive than love me dead. I think she got the point though."

Tyr walked with Ari. "I don't understand her sometimes. I went through the same fucking feelings when Annabelle and Mari died. And I'm pretty sure you felt it when your wife died too. Does she not understand that we know what she's going through?"

Qin-Tarak followed when Ari and Arabelle started moving. He just crawled basically. He thought about what he had just witnessed, and didnt understand it. He's lost his entire species, anyone he could call friend or mate, and the only reason he's in his situation is because he wanted to stay alive for as long as he could. Maybe there were others hiding out in caves just like him. Sure, he did get bummed out by being alone but if he looked further than maybe he wouldnt be alone after he finds someone like him. When he was captured, he could have just said 'kill me, what do I have to lose?' but truth was he felt like he did have something to lose. The possibility of his species' survival. He didnt understand why this human tried what she did, especially since that little thing she cared about was still alive. That thing was hard to kill, even as a baby. He could barely penetrate that armor, and when he did it was by accident and too late. But humans were cruel creatures, they could find any way to kill something. But as he understood it, they were in a battle and killing a hostage like that would be incredibly stupid especially since the hostage was so important to leader of the resistance. But he spoke nothing, having silently watched the whole time.

He realized that if this thing was hard to kill as a baby, he didnt want to think of it as an adult.

Ari shrugged. "Who the fuck knows? Maybe she just needs to calm down first before she gets it. I got the job done. My methods are unorthodox, but they haven't failed yet. If she saves Sakuga, it's worth her hating me."

Ari took notice of Qin Tarak. "Oi, Beast. I have to say: You and the kids saved my ass yesterday with all those men outside. You have my gratitude and you'll a part of your name back. For now, you're Tarak."

@RedTeam Grif

Well, thats better than beast. Qin-Tarak flicked his ears in response, showin ghe heard him. Humans moved unbearably slow! He did know he was twice the size of a human, and can easily carry one or two. But he wasnt about to give the offer.
