Fantasy The Return of Corruption

"I will tell her but I need to know what she looks like, and I won't leave you here." He held out a hand to her to help her up and out.

Safety Hammer]"No. He-he will get hurt." Tyr said looking at his wife. "ARI! GET OVER HERE NOW!" [URL="https://www.rpnation.com/profile/10876-kylesar1/ said:

"We can't leave him here! Nobody eles in town can protect him if that thing attacks again!" Bailey said, runner her thumb over the boy's cheek.

"I know that. I am sending him to someone I trust. Someone in Toron. Please, you must trust me." Tyr said.

"Toron is where were going! It was destroyed last time, and it's bound to happen again!" Bailey says, tears in her eyes, "We can't send him there!"

"Look at me, Bailey. I wouldn't send him there if I didn't know he was going to be safe." Tyr said, wiping the tears from his wife's eyes. "This man.. He is the closest person I can call family. He will understand." Tyr looked at the boy and kissed him in the forehead. He then grabbed some charcoal and scribbled two notes. One labeled "Bishop", the other labeled "Alex". He stuck them both in Alex's hands, and hurried off to find Ari.

The men in the explosion were vaporized immediately

Elaina dropped to her knees, panting heavily. She was an absolute nuke, but like a nuke, she needed time before she could go again

Ari picked himself up. His head hurt. "Nice work babygirl, but damn." He was picking himself up and dusting himself off not too far from where Tyr was going

"Ari, I need Lexi to bring Alex to Toron. Here is a picture of the cathedral. I need you to do it now. Do you understand?"

(Wow I just realized I've been mixing up Ari and Elaina all along.)

On the black mass in the air, a single massive black eye grew and opened. It locked it's sight on the magician, Elaina. Of all the worthless mortals, she caught his attention the most. She had knowledge that he didn't know. She was worth something. But now was not the time to act. Instead, he stayed in the air, silently spying on the party.

Ari's head was ringing. "Toron? It's a day long trip for Lexi. Losing a huge part of my power wouldn't bode well.........I guess so though. Where the hell is he?"

Bailey bit her lip, knowing that now her nightmares weren't dreams but visions, warnings. She knew Tyr wouldn't listen, and she knew she could in stop him. She ran out after him, and kissed her child's fore head and whispered, "Be safe my love." Her heart dropped and she felt that she might start crying. In her first night mare she had seen him being killed, but couldn't wake herself up. "I hope you're right about this Tyr."

Tyr handed him the body of his unconscious son. "Please. Just bring him."

Ari scratched his head. "Eh.......Come, Lexi!" Lexi coiled around him

"Take this child to Toron." He showed Lexi the picture while putting Alex on her back. "Artificial Bond with him so he won't fall."

"Aren't you coming with me?"

"Not at all. Go without me"

Lexi hissed at him. She was not pleased. "I need you though! You're my master! We are one!"

"I know that Lexi, but the Leader needs me here. My kids need me here, and this child needs to be there. You're the only one who can get him there with speed. The skies are not secure right now."

Lexi gave in. She put her head on the ground in disappointment. "Just please be safe, Master. It's one thing to be apart for an hour. It's another thing to be apart for a day."

Ari put his head against hers. "I will, girl. You be safe and protect that child. Rider Bond."

The child was placed on top and didn't budge. Lexi charged off. towards Toron

Meanwhile, Elaina was in the house, drinking water to help replenish her magic. She looked outside and shuddered. The air was just full of dark magic. It wasn't visible but she could feel it. "I won't let our Light succumb to the Darkness. Period." She knew she was being watched. Her spells couldn't reach high enough to hit the source though, so she had to keep from using any newer magic while she was being watched

"Let's go." Tyr said sluggishly. "We..can't stay here.. We need to retreat to the.. Woods.." Tyr slumped up against Bailey. "We have to leave.."

"Your adrenaline wore," she said. She didn't look at him, and sounded a bit ticked. Her sadness had been replaced with anger and frustration. She told him not to send Alex there, and he wouldn't listen. She shook her head, trying to get the memories of those dreams out of her head for a bit, but to no avail. "Tyr, there's a reason I didn't want to send him there," she said quietly, barely able to hear herself.

"Yeah, sure," she said, her mind eles where. She sat Tyr down, and leaned him against a tree. She then began to gather stuff for a small fire, one just large enough to keep them warm, but small enough so they wouldn't be noticed. She walkin into the wood a ways, "So much for- a damn!" She muttered, hitting her head on a rather thick branch. "Fucking hell," she rubbed her forehead and went back to the clearing.

Tyr looked at his shoulder. "Oh... blood.." Tyr had forgotten that he had been shot through his shoulder. He touched the hole that the arrow had left. It stung, but he could bear it. He must have lost at least a pint.

Bailey summoned her wolves, "Fang, you take Slphirre go an hunt us some dinner plaes," She asked. They looked around, growling at Ari before running. "Sorry they still aren't a huge fan," she said walking over to patch up her husband. She took a healing herb from the worn leather patch on her hip and gave it to him, "You should know what to do." She walked off and stacked the fire stuff she got in a small pile. "Someone with two arms is gonna have to light it."

They were deep in the forest. Ari chose this direction carefully. Things got heavy in this part of the forest. Ari laid Arabelle down and sat beside her. Noam held out Tyr's bag. "Here's your stuff." Noam said to him

Elaina touched his shoulder. "Heal." She whispered. Tyr's wound was deep but not at all lethal or serious. It healed and closed immediately. Elaina began panting again. "I'm sorry. I have to rest." Even the simplest spells would tire her out for a while

Noam walked over to where she was. "Embody: Fire Ant" He said. He snapped his finger and the wood set on fire. "There." He said

Tyr looked at Bailey with hazy eyes. "I..." Tyr said, before he slumped over. He wasn't dead, but he was unconscious from blood loss.

"I'm gonna look around for a bit," Bailey said, walking away from camp. Once she knew she was out of sight and ear shot, she fell against a near by tree and lost it. She cried silently, or trying. She couldn't stand it. The beginning of one of her nightmares came ture and she was hoping no others ones were going to follow the same path. "Alex....I'm so sorry," she wimpered. She felt weak, she felt lost, she felt hopeless. The images from the first nightmare flashed trough her mind, along with the other ones showing her son's death, only making her cry harder. She was gone for awhile until she calmed down, and wiped her eyes. She went back to camp, and sat down next to the unconscious Tyr.

Father Bishop awoke to the sound of a banging at the door of the cathedral. Walking down the steps, he made it to the large wooden doors. "Hello? Oh dear!" Bishop jumped back a bit, after seeing Lexi holding Alex. "Hello there. Who might this be?"

Lexi couldn't communicate and Alex was still unconscious.

Lexi hissed, talking to Ari via their bond. "Master, I have arrived but I can't speak. Can you speak for me?"

"Can do, girl. Open up."

Lexi opened her mouth and glowed green. Ari's voice came through her mouth. "Oi, are you the bishop? Tyr asked me to bring his son to you on my beast."

As the dark settled in, Sepentireon eventually descended from the clouds. He had followed the party until they entered the woods, so now he had to pursue them on foot. This did not mean he wouldn't take any less caution. He stayed well out of sight of the fire, hiding in the darkness and stretching his tendrils to better hide his red robes in the thick dark of the night. He watched closely, searching for any signs of the magic
