Fantasy The Return of Corruption
Tyr stood back up, and charged towards Serpenterion, face red in rage. "YOU BASTARD!"
"Oi!" Ari yelled. "The guy's gone. Why do you think I'm here and not there fighting with Elaina healing her?"
Arabelle laid still, only breathing slightly with a pained expression on her face as she fought off her reapers to stay with her friends.
He turned back to Arabelle. "If you die on me, I swear I'll go into the heavens and kill your ass again."

Once the stasis activated, Arabelle should fall into a deep sleep

After a few minutes Arabelle was asleep, breathing peacefully.

Ari sighed in relief and laid her head down gently. "She's gonna be fine." He said. "Nice work Elaina, Noam."

They both nodded

They had to move very soon. With him being able to teleport like that, he was like a sniper to them, able to wear them down from anywhere they went. It'd be a constant battle to the castle, then an even bigger one then.

"Before we move, there's something everybody needs to see, but that can't happen until Arabelle wakes up," Bailey said, fiddling a small brass key in between her fingers.

"Oi, we can't stay here for 36 hours. There's no way in hell." Ari said. "If that guy comes back, he's gonna attack the city and take on more collateral in the form of the innocents. The more times he attack, the more worn out we'll be by the time we get there."

"Fine, come on then. We can fill her in on the way," Bailey said, walking to the back of the house, where she unlocked a secret door. Inside, maps, parchments, ink wells, quills, and books cover the tables in the corner and the desk under the window at the other side of the room. It was a bit musty and arid on the room, but we'll lit. "Welcome to the war room."
"Yes. She'll be fine. I'm sorry that happened to you."

"It's ok daddy," Alex said, hugging Tyr, "You have to save the world again so I have to stay here, buts that's ok. I'll help Grandma Kya and my friends."

"We'll be back in no time." Tyr said with a sad smile. He kissed Alex on the forehead and hugged him tightly. He then let go, and hurried off to his room to grab his things.

Ari walked around the room, looking at the different parchments and scrolls. There was a scroll for a toxic spell. "A rarity. How'd you get something like this?"

"I have my ways. I've been tracking Alreos's moments for the past four years after he showed

signs of turning. I got reports from a couple friends still in the royal guard," She explains while looking for something. After a few minutes she found it. A leather bound notebook. "This showed up one day, in it, we'll take a look," she handed the notebook to Ari.

Ari skimmed through the notebook. The de-evolution of his mind was obvious. "From these reports, he seems almost paranoid of someone speaking out against him.........." A moment of realization. Ari rummaged through his bag and pulled out a notebook. It held a list of the publicly executed. "When Alreos became king, he spoke about us all being family and being brothers and sisters under the same flag...... Did Alreos ever convert to Christianity when he became the king?"

"Why would he? He's a god after all." Tyr said, back in his old leather armor. "I would know first hand. I served in the bastard's army. He doesn't believe in anyone but himself."

"So a narcissist. I said so because why else would he mention 'brothers' and 'sisters' and 'family?'"

Ari pulled out the bible. He didn't open it though. "Matthew 5:22: But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell."

"I think at some point he took some things out of the bible and applied it to himself. He used the Bible as an affront to appeal to the masses, then stuck with it. He got drunk with the power and used the bible as a twisted justification to kill those who didn't like him."

"I mean, look at the spectre. It attacked the city from nowhere. It can go anywhere. A spy, like a watchman implanted within the city."
Ari looked at the list of public executions. "The list here is overwhelmingly filled with 'conspiracy to commit treason.'"

"I'm confused. I've never been a very religious peeson," Bailey muttered while looking over the map, sticking little flags in it. "These are where he's made his soldiers attack. Some of those towns were completely obliterated, and some were left in dire conditions," Bailey said, the pointed, "It looks like a weird pattern of... something."

"It doesn't stop there." Tyr said, looking serious. "Kains wasn't a war. It was a genocide. Men, women, children. All of them killed because the grand inquisitor said so. Most of the things that is recorded there are not Alreos' ideas. The come from Khan as well. And I think he is planning something."

"In other words, simply expressing dislike in your brother is a crime. Words equal murder. Thoughts are just as bad as the action once you take it all out of context. It's why he referred to himself as brother in his speech, not king."

"God is supposedly omnipotent. Knowing all and seeing all. The spectres could've been there to
stimulate omnipotence. I mean, how else would Alreos know the Leader was planning an attack? If thoughts equal action, then Conspiracy to commit treason is the same as treason, thus execution. That's why so many people were publicly executed under 'treason.'"

Ari looked at the pattern being drawn by Bailey.

(What is it supposed to be? A picture? A symbol?)

"Khan?" Ari scratched his head. "Who is Khan? An assistant? Another god? Was he working for Valerian too?"

"He is the Grand Inquisitor. The Royal Adviser. Alreos' right hand man." Tyr said, looking at Ari. "He's a dark elf. One day, he just appeared, and has been in power ever since."

"Well it that isn't suspicious," Bailey said sarcasticly. "But why would a god need a right hand man?"

Sakaga was outside, looking around for little leaves to eat on. She liked the yummiest and juciest. She hoped Arabelle was alright, she seemed to be troubled.

Qin-Tarak came back with a large deer in his jaws. He didnt have enough time to eat, so he landed and started tearing it up and eating it.
