Fantasy The Return of Corruption

"Wake him up," Bailey said, wiping the tears away. Her emotions were in a jumble, angry, relived, overwhelming joy, confusion, and hurt. She sat down.
"Can do." Ari said. He summoned a vial. "Nonlethal." He said, as he knows that they could believe it was a deadly toxin.

"Stimulant. A strong and bitter mixture to kick the body into high gear, or in this case, force-start it. He can't drink it, so I'll have to inject it."

Ari poured the liquid out and his eyes flashed green. The liquid flipped around like a blob for a second until it turned into a snake. It wrapped around Ari, then hissed at Tyr. It bit him, then the entire snake's body went into the bite, turning back into the liquid

When it took effect, Tyr would twitch and spasm for a second, then wake up

Arabelle wrapped her arm around Bailey's shoulder. She rubbed it slightly and smiled sadly at her. "He'll explain everything when he wakes up. Don't get angry with him."

"AAAAH!" Tyr screamed, as he sprung awake, breaking glasses that were on the counter. "Where the fuck... where..where am I?" Tyr said as he looked around the room frantically, until he noticed his friends. "Bailey? Is that.. oh god.. Oh my god it is.." Tyr squeezed the girl, hugging her as joyful tears ran down his cheeks. "Oh my god.. I never thought I would see you again.."

Bailey pulled away from the hug, slapped Tyr hard across the face, and then hugged him again. "Three years, and every night Alex asked when you were coming home, and every night I'd say soon. For three years, because I didn't have the heart to tell him you were gone. But here you are, I want some answers."

Sakaga would sit there for a while, just staring up at the shining. Then she yelped and stumbled back as a heavy weight dropped in front of her, growling at Sakaga. She looked around, then started running. Though what she thought was the way to get out, it was deeper into the cave. There was the sound of an almost hyena laugh, she looked back and the two shinys, now she realized were glowing red eyes, were following. They were climbing on the side of the wall and ceiling, jumping from side to side. She tripped on a rather big rock, stumbling forward and when she thought she gained balance she slammed her face into the side of the cave when it veered a bit to the right. She heard the wood on her head crack a bit and she cried out, feeling wetness dripping from her face. Her own blood. She started to cry, but heard the laugh again and got up and kept running. She got excited when she saw light ahead, trying to go faster. When she reached the light, her little heart sank as it wasnt an exit she could reach. It was a hole in the ceiling. She looked back, jumping out of the light just enough to make whatever was chasing her move forward. Though all she saw was brown fur and thin flesh of bat wings before her gawking earned her a hard blow to the side from one of the wings, knocking her into the wall again. She whimpered, being only five years old she was still not as armored as she could be.

(I've been preparing this one It might be a little long, so I'll break it up into pieces.)

Tyr looked at the group and took a deep breath. "I was getting ready to come home from Kains. We had to all get on this big boat, named The Shiawasse. I spent a week on that god forsaken boat, thinking of what I would do when I saw you and Alex." A tear rolled down his cheek.

"Ok," she said, rubbing the palm of her hand that was a bright red.

"One day, I woke up to a man pulling me out of my bed. He told me that the ship was going down. I grabbed my sword, and started to climb up the stairs to the deck. Then, the wall broke. I was sucked into the ocean along with that other man. I thought I was going to die. I thought that I would never see you two again. But, I felt a hand grab at my armor, and pull me up out of the water. It was the same man. He had found a raft. A small one. We watched the ship sink that night. There were no other survivors."

Arabelle was getting worried about Sakaga. "I'm sorry to have to leave, but I'm scared for Sakaga. I'm going to go bring her." She stood and used her crutch and hobbled out towards their tiny cottage. "Sakaga?" she called.

Bailey nodded, her heart fluttering a little. He had been saved, that's good.

Ari followed Arabelle. "I'll leave you two to your tearful reunion." He waved as he left. He followed behind Arabelle. "Oi." he said, catching up to her. "What's been up with the Swamp Beast?"

"She's learning how to speak very well now. She can spell too. She's all I have left. What about you and your kids?" she asked.

"His name was Kris. He was only 25 years old. We spent our time talking about the war. Talking about what we would do when we got back. He had this picture, you see. It was a picture of his girlfriend back home. Pretty little elf lass. He talked about how they would run away together after the war. And I talked about you and Alex. We had to eat the leather off of our armor to survive." Tyr said, with a sad smile. "Only a sip of water a day. And that lasted us two months."

Bailey nodded, she wasn't going to interrupt him while he spoke.

Ari scratched his head. "Still training in Beast Taming and Priestess-hood. I still do my bounty and spy work for them......... What about you personally?" After things were over, he took his cut and they left. The riches were untold in the heroic endeavor, and he got everything he needed for his kids, hiring magic tutors and the best of the best mage teachers for them

Sakaga shook her head, forcing herself to stand. The bat creature watched with amusment, when she got up he crawled over and wrapped his wings around her, trying to get her to hold still. She started making loud calls of panic, squirming around as she felt the bat start to try and find weak spots to tear into her flesh. Like of like a predator with a pangolian or turtle. She twisted her head around as much as she could and snapped her little jaws around the bat's muzzle, making it growl and hiss in pain. She refused to let go, grabbing his ears she started pulling violently. He let out an irritated and pained screech, letting her go. She stumbled before starting to run again. The bat snarled, now pissed off he easily caught up with her instead of being slow and chasing her. He would hook his wing's claws under some of her wood and throw her either down or to the side, making her cry out like an injured animal for its mother. Everytime he tried biting flesh, he ended up sinking his teeth into wood and keeping her flesh from getting all types of bactiria that was in his mouth from getting in any would he might cause.

"Then one day, we found land. I remember Kris walking out and kissing the sand. I couldn't blame him. I thought that we had made it. We cut down trees, hunted game, and built a better raft for another month. We built up supplies and even found fresh water to drink. And we still talked about you and his girl. Then one week, we were kidnapped. We found out that there were locals on the island. And we had made them mad. They tortured us." Tyr said, as he took off his gauntlet, to show that he was missing his middle finger. "Then, one day, Kris fought back."

"Well I don't know if you heard but a year after we parted Leon was tortured to death in front of me." she said sadly. "We had just gotten married and were thinking about having children when he died." She looked at the ground. "I miss him a lot. Sakaga is the only thing keeping me from killing myself now." she said.

Ari scratched his head again. He wasn't exactly the comforting type. "I can't help but feel like that's not really the case. You called us here. There's something else driving you."

Bailey gasped, the moved the left side of her cloak so her stump could be seen. Her arm was missing. A beast had bit it right above the elbow and tore it right off.

"He attacked one of the leaders of the tribe. I told him not to. I told him that we could escape later. But he didn't listen.. " Tyr was getting choked up. "One day, they grabbed him, and pulled him out of the tent we were held in. They had a hot iron spike... The screams went on for hours. Each time he yelled for mercy, they would do it more. One day, I snuck out. And I saw him.." Tears ran down his cheeks, as he choked out the rest of the story. "His eyes were gouged out and he was stripped nude. There were holes in his chest and neck.. They castrated him, and left him for the animals.. He asked me to tell his girl that he died peacefully. That he died in his sleep. Then..Then he died in my arms..."

She nodded. "We all lost so much to bring the world back to a peaceful state, now it's being taken away again. I won't just sit back and let Alreos ruin what we fought for." She went to her door and opened it. She gasped when she saw Sakaga wasn't there. "Sakaga!" she screamed.
