The Rebardi Effect​

Before you fill out your character, I need to go over some things before I accept anybody. No worries, they aren't too serious or anything, I'm just craving something a little different than usual modern/realistic roleplays.

1. I can and may decline character applications that I don't see fit for this roleplay. I probably won't, but I have seen people go over the top with their characters. For example, disabilities in characters are allowed, but not something as wild as paralysis or something. Let's get real - a paralyzed person wouldn't last a week in an Apocalypse. Though mental disabilities are allowed, I don't want people playing "psychopath murderous criminals." You see what I mean? Be realistic, for the love of God.

2. I will not tolerate any disrespect in this roleplay. I've never seen it happen on this wonderful site, but if I do see it, I will deal with it accordingly - most likely by killing said person's character of and removing them from the roleplay. Make it easier on everyone here and just be respectful. Make some friends, not enemies.

3. There will be some dark subjects in this roleplay. I will have characters killed, so come in understanding that your character may die. You can always recreate another character if that is to happen. I may have characters injured or tortured or God knows what. You can have your character kill another character, but both you and the owner of said character must agree to it. Pointless bloodbaths are, well, pointless.

4. Fade to black if anything gets sexy. Enough said.

5. And finally, until something else crosses my mind, this is a semi-detailed roleplay. I expect at least two paragraphs on average, though I do understand if you fall short every now and then. Just don't make it a habit.

Distinguishing Features: Both have their collection of small scars developed after the country went to chaos. Spencer has a scar on her forehead above her right eyebrow she got from tripping and falling on a dresser drawer corner as a toddler. She has a small birthmark on the nape of her neck that somewhat resembles a bird and both of her ears pierced. Elliot has a rather gross-looking scar on his ankle that he got from breaking his leg as a teenager. He and his friends decided jumping off of a barn roof over a ditch would be a great idea. He has another scar on his stomach from where he had his gallbladder, that was causing issues, removed. He too has a single piercing in his left ear and a small birthmark in the crook of his elbow.
Dress Style: Though they both dressed very differently before the Apocalypse, they both now make do with whatever they can find that fits, which isn't much. Clothing went away rather quickly. Elliot wears a white collared shirt he found when scavenging a retail store that is stained with blood, dirt, and some purple stains from the time they found berries. He wears a pair of loose-fitting jeans that he keeps attached to his hips with a rope, otherwise he'd be in his underpants. He still has his sneakers that he wore before the Apocalypse, so they have suffered an ill fate. They are torn up and stained they're beyond recognizable. Putting Spencer before himself, he tries to make sure she has better clothing to wear. She wears a striped pink shirt, bell-bottom blue jeans and an equally as worn pair of sneakers. To make sure she doesn't get cold, Elliot convinced her to lug around a slightly-too small jacket around her waist at all times.
Disabilities: Since the death of Elliot's wife and Spencer's mother, the pair have fallen into a depression. Besides that, the two of them are rather healthy and seem to have no visible problems.

Talents: The two of them aren't incredibly talented, but together they think they make a pretty good team. Both of them were active beforehand, so they don't get tired of the endless walking and walking too easily. Spencer was a ballerina before and is very graceful on her feet and is rather flexible, able to reach unusual spaces due to her small frame and agility. Elliot is resourceful and makes supplies of unusual things, is able to limit their food so it lasts longer. He has enough medical knowledge to treat simple wounds given the right supplies.
Flaws: Elliot values Spencer over anything - including his own life. When seen in a dangerous, he is more than likely holding her, which puts them in an obvious disadvantage. Along with that, Spencer is a mere child and panics in scary situations, often screaming or crying out, which attracts Zombies. Elliot, as well, isn't much of a fighter. He has taken the "life" of many Zombies over the few months, but if he were to be overcrowded, he wouldn't be able to take them all on his own.
Personality: Elliot is a man of God, he claims. He takes care in acting in a way he knows his God would approve of, which is to be a strong, obedient and courageous man - and he is. He treats nearly everybody with respect, even people he doesn't personally agree with. Even in dangerous times, he regards the few alive people he comes across with manners. Besides, it's best not to make enemies. He is selfless and puts other before himself, especially his daughter. He's optimistic, even in such scary times, and tries to be humorous and make people see the good in every situation. Like any human being, however, he isn't a perfect person. He bottles up his emotions until they explode like a science-fair volcano, and it usually isn't pretty. He can be absolutely cruel when it comes to his daughter and anyone harming, disregarding any consequences that may come from doing so. Along with this, he's weak-willed and cares too much for life. He'd rather escape and let dangerous Zombies roam free than kill one of the Zombies. One, he doesn't want his daughter witnessing so many acts of violence. Two, he really hopes a cure is found that can restore the once-humans back to their normal lives. He knows it's a fantasy, but a man can hope. When his wife is mentioned, he often talks as though she's still alive, as he hasn't come to terms with her death just yet. He refuses to accept it.

Spencer is described as an angel, not yet tainted by the ways of man. She was raised in a God-loving family that taught her much about the benefits of being a good, compassionate person. She's optimistic and goofy, and just like her father tries to humor the worst of situations. Since her mother's death, though, her personality had changed much. She's much more distant, often lost in memories of times that were simpler. She doesn't joke about as much as she once did and hides behind her father when interacting with new people. She longs for things to go back to they way they once were, though it's unlikely. Elliot and Spencer were once inseparable but are even more-so now that their entire lives are each other. Through thick and thin, they'll be there for each other.

Flaws: Poor people skills, is fairly small so reaching things are difficult, isn't physically strong, can be over confident in abilities
Personality: Mari has a hard time socializing and a harder time getting close to people, and she often sees it as a waste of time, after all she's probably going to have to shoot them later so why speak at all. Because of this she doesn't join groups and for the most part people don't want her in their own group, so she wanders alone, secretly she wants to connect with others but doesn't know how. Can come across cold or sadistic, many have said that the outbreak was meant for people like her.

history; Abigail Evelyn Gryffin was born in Ireland to two real estate agents, Maria and Shaemus Gryffin. Her parents had not intended on being in Ireland for the time of her birth, but, this instance saw the family live there for 5 years without having another child before her parents decided to move back to their meeting place, Australia. It was here that Abigail went into first grade, having already completed kindergarten in Ireland. A year later her mother was pregnant with another child. Only, things didn't go as planned. A miscarriage caused her parents much grief, and confused poor little Abby....
Despite this heartbreak, her parents continued to raise Abigail to the absolute best of their ability, and decided, to avoid any more risks, that they would not try again. They were forced to put the death of their unborn son behind them and continue on with their little girl. Abigail didn't find out about the tragedy until she was 15,....and although she was resentful for some time, never spoke a word of it to anyone else, and accepted it with a heavy heart, for what it was. The only homes she had ever known before seperating from her parents to attend college, and then go on to her own apartment with friends, were a farm in Ireland and a lavish apartment in the middle of New York City. According to her mother's spanish rambling, it was the move to New York which made Abigail's fascination with halloween and odd things at all, much "worse"....Abigail's schooling was above average, and besides the quirkiness, her grades were always above average. She managed to make great life long friends, who saw her as more than just a "weird girl" and actually wanted to know her. There was a first time for everything. Up until college, she lived with her parents, but their generosity of money loads got her to a campus which offered her everything she needed, including independence. Graduation came some years later, and she emerged with a Bachelor of Science with a major in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Following her graduation from University, her and two of her friends, Lydia and Eric, decided a trip overseas was fit for them, and so they packed their bags for a roadtrip through America. Next thing they knew a blood bath had ensued. If only they had not gotten on that plane....Abigail was seperated from Eric and Lydia within the first few weeks, and she is unsure if they are okay or if the dead have taken them. She might never know...Now, she wanders no mans land with a bag full of rashons, clothing and essentials, 2 weapons [a large machete and a screwdriver] and a heavy heart.....

Background: Percy lived his entire life in and out of worry of his parents. His outbursts grew worse and worse as things developed. To say the least, Percy had been doomed to an uphill battle. Percy, compared to Eythan, simply is not as innocent. With concerns with his violent behavior, especially wth the fights with his own brothers. Fate holds a stab scar on his chest from one of these episodes. Percy denies any memory of the event. While a general psychopath at heart, Percy becomes something else in his episodes. Professional analysis indicates an anomaly, an unusual reading of brain usage in Percy's mind. They concluded that Percy had develoce some advanced form of eplispy. A form recently discovered a month before. After roughmy an hour and a half, Percy returned to himself.

Dress Style: Jeremiah wears a style similar to what he wore even before the Apocalypse. He wears a pair of jeans that, like the rest of his clothing, have been stained over the many months of no changing and holed up from climbing and hiding. He wears a plain white T-shirt which hasn't fared as badly as his sweatshirt had due to being covered the entire time, but still has his fair share of stains on it. He's mostly seen with his grey baseball sweatshirt from when he still played on - granted it's stained and holy, it's his prized possession. He wears a pair of black rimmed glasses and a hat as well.
Disabilities: Jeremiah is ADHD and has a difficult time focusing on what's important.

Talents: Jeremiah has a good arm. He played baseball in highschool and college and has swung many, many bats over his years. Give him something to carry and chances are he can give some pretty decent damage. Though the talent hasn't been used much since the Apocalypse began, Jeremiah has a vivid imagination and can usually entertain people with a story he'd make up.
Flaws: Jeremiah is loud. Very loud. He wants to talk at all times and when he does talk, God forbid he whisper. Even in times where the news aren't a thing anymore and not much interesting things happen in people's lives, he could talk for hours about his day.
