Hullo! I’m working on a medic character and I thought it would be interesting for him to have some former combat medic experience, but I wanted to check first. Is there an army/war he could have been part of? Or would it work better for him to be from somewhere else in their world that had a war, and then have relocated to Vaimery? I can also scrap the combat medic background if that is easiest, since his character doesn’t really depend on it

oof hi! i'm not a GM for the rp but the lore says there were people that went out to hunt down magical creatures, so possibly your character could have been involved with something like that? i don't think there are any countries outside of Vameiry having any wars (but i miiight be wrong). perhaps your guy was part of a group of hunters or maybe was a medic for the royal guards? :0

Well ~9 years before the start of this roleplay, in one of the other countries there was a rebellion happening that lasted like 4 years. Might not be exactly what you're looking for though.Most of the magic banning stuff happened 60+ years before the start of this, so that likely wouldn't work, but there's still medics in the guard that are sent out with groups when they're called to encounter a possible magic user. Idk if thats what you're thinking either, though!

Actually, I think the rebellion is perfect for what I had in mind if the math works out...but my brain’s dumb. XD He would have been 17 at the start of the rebellion, I think, so maybe he moved to Empyrea after it was over...he would have been around 21, I think? I’ll go ahead and run with that for now, but definitely let me know if it doesn’t work when I post him. :3
