Halloween Party

Nona had somehow found herself in a very crowded, very noisy place. Usually that would have bothered her, but right now she wasn't bothered by it at all. Why? Because it was a party! She'd even gotten dressed up for it and everything! The little vampire girl wove in between bodies until she found the table where all of the food was piled. Sure enough, that's where her rabbits had found themselves. She had three out right now, and at the moment one of them was holding another from fleeing as the third tried forcing different types of foods through the held rabbit's sew-shut mouth. Seeing his master approaching, the captive rabbit struggled harder to free itself.

Nona grabbed the rabbit that had been force-feeding the other by its head and pulled its head from the rest of it with an easy tug. Out of the white stuffing she pulled a long sharp kitchen knife. Ignoring the other two rabbits still wrestling with each other, she ran up and down the table stabbing different foodstuffs and taking bites. Anything she found she didn't like she spit right back out, which was most of what she put in her mouth.

Taste-testing finished when she'd rounded the entire table and found herself back where the two rabbits still struggled for dominance. She grabbed one of the rabbits at random and carried it away as she ran back through the crowd in the direction of the dance floor. The one remaining rabbit stared blankly at the knife its master had left with it. It decided to carry the sharp object around with it as it made its way around the table picking up the mess of half-eaten foodstuffs Nona had left in the wake of her tasting spree.

As she found her way to where everyone else was dancing, Nona swung herself and the rabbit in her arms round and round until she'd made herself and probably anyone who watched her very dizzy. And then she saw it. A giant muscly unicorn man making his boobs bounce to the music. "Sooooo cool!" She ran to get closer, and ripped the head off of her dancing partner once she was. From out of the rabbit's stuffing poked a handle and trigger. "Hey unicorn man!" There was a pop as she pulled the trigger and a pointed party hat found its way to top the unicorn man's pointy horn. Dead ringer! She jumped at her own success. For whatever reason she'd come to accept that she was a really good shot, something that was only proven more by the fact that she'd just landed a paper party had onto a unicorn's horn from 20 feet through a dancing crowd of people.

Her excitement showed no sign of waning any time soon, as the little vampire girl continued to spin around the room with her now headless rabbit spraying white stuffing in a spiraling trail marking where she'd already passed through. Nona didn't know much, about herself and a lot of other things too, but one thing she knew without a doubt was that she loved Halloween Parties.

Serena's inquiry was interrupted by out of the corner of her eye she caught six people enter the room. She did a quick once over with the group, noticing the older man and a teenage girl followed by other men that she did not recognize either. From her experience as an assassin in the passed she was easily able to tell that they were guards. From the information she gathered in a small amount of time she deduced that this was indeed the President and his daughter.

"Well as much as I do enjoy our chats Dyani I think the president and his daughter have arrived so we best get going," she said sarcastically during the first part of her statement and briskly walked off not even giving him the chance to speak again. She was soon cut off from her line of sight with the group because of partying crowd. Thankfully Mrs. Milson approached Serena informing her exactly where they were all meeting.

Once she had finally arrived along with everyone else she placed her mask atop her head and let her hood down for formality. Then listened silently as they all went through introductions, but she felt something off about the daughter from when Serena had first walked in. The daughter Elena kept on glancing at her with an awestruck look and when she was given the chance she approached Serena greeting her with her hand meeting Serena's ice cold one, "I'm just so amazed, this is my first time shaking hands with a vampire."

This caught Serena by surprise because she was never really good with kids but she still stayed with her formal composure and shook her hand back, "The honor is mine to be protecting you." She let go of her hand and continued, "I will ensure my best efforts to make sure nothing happens to you Miss Woods... But don't do anything stupid, or else it will make my job and other people's here harder to deal with, okay?" She said with her signature crossing the arms with an irritated face look. "Okay maybe that last part wasn't so formal," she thought.

Dusty

Dusty had arrived inside the location clutching a cellphone in his hand and argued with the device as he went passed the door. several patrons all walking around and jiving to the music as the sounds and lights were almost whimsical to the senses. the Jomko moved towards a more quieter and secluded location in the cafe. around corner where the sounds would overwhelm his ears.

"Wait what.. what do you mean your not here?"

a digital voice sounded from his cellphone echoing a tone of concern at the statement.

"Sorry! i got caught up in a few things right now! and umm... it looks like i wont be able to make it!"

"What what do you mean!? its halloween! you run an antique shop! what could you possibly busy yourself on? Dusting a statue of Apollo's Cheeks!?"

"Yeah!Wellum! thing is... Someone had to call me up.. require my immediate attention? in the uhhhh.... "Lady Luck?"

A scratch of annoyance on dusty's end as his scalp was viciously raked by his fingernails. he clicked a "Tch" listening to the excuse Brandon had to make. he was disappointed and angry that the person who invited him and "promised" to be with him during this party had stood him up the very moment he went inside the cafe. he became especially irritated by the mere mention of the word "Lady Luck", Brandon was never a good liar

"What!? you mean the Casino!? What in the name of the Old Gods are you doing in the Casino- Its flipping Marzian isnt it..."

What started out as a confused angry statement for dusty became a sudden realization as he realized the reason he had been betrayed. his eyes widened and his shoulders dropped at the shock of this thought an inkling of hope that it wasn't the case, but he knew too well that this hope was but a fleeting illusion

"Yes? no...? Umm... I-i Ihm am actually helping a woman to an ambulance!! yeah!! right now! Whoh God this ambulance is fast!"

"Brandon......shut up..... you stood me up for your boyfriend in a high roller game didn't you......"

A small bit of silence and digital wind flew by the reception of the call until a tiny squeek was heard on the other line

"......y-...p-please dont be mad..?"

"Dude, bro... what happened to brethren before wenches..... homies before hoes.... home dawgs before actual dogs!"

"I- Wait Where did you learn those things!?"

"I watch too much TV cause apparently your not around!!!"

"What do you even watch!?!"

"Discovery Network!! Its educational!!!"

Dusty was infuriated to the point he didn't know what to properly say, smoke started to billow from underneath his costume, that took the eyes of a few people liking the little design to it.

"I-Look!! Im sorry but i didnt have a choice! The Money in this thing is too huge not to take a risk on and Marzian suprised me for a visit! you understand right!?

"I-"

"Brandy is that Dusty...?" Echoed a voice far back from the line, dusty recognizing it well but not having the moment to reply to it

"Yeah yeah it is.." replied Brandon

"Listen ill make it up to you soon after tonight, just wish me luck with this. Sides i believe in you, im sure you can handle without me this time. think of this as a..... test... Yeah a test to your skills! so good luck out there! Later Dust!"

"Wai-"

A click, and soon the conversation merely echoed in Dusty's head as it was drowned out by the sounds of music, laughter, dancing all under the banner of light and spooky themes. Dusty kept his cellphone away and looked at the sea of crowd before his eyes.

A dancing girl with a bunny on the dance floor

a similar bunny with a knife

a muscular unicorn man

a demon

alot of colorful things...

The fox boy gulped a bit and sighed at this sudden challenge that faced before him. he tried breathing slowly to grab his bearings and soon enough started inching his way closer and closer to hopefully a platter. Smoke billowed from beneath him as he slowly walked towards the party center, hoping to just find the food, his legs feeling like bread sticks. in hopes to get through this without having to talk to anyone on the party, or at least not make a fool out of himself he prayed in his head "By the Light that flows in the river of Life, Grant me the strength to pass on..... please... just this once.." Covering his face with a mask and a hood and play his costume, despite his short stature, he pressed on. a silent muncher and observer

Bob struck a Kung Fu pose when he saw the trigger, then laughed a deep booming laugh that was part neighing when he realized it was only a party hat that landed on his horn.

He jumped down the stage to try and pick up Nona and put the little vampire girl on his broad shoulders to just dance like that as the witch and warlock band began to play the ending song of the Halloween Party: a snazzy jazzy tune that made the crowd swing.

" U.S. President's Car "

"Yes, of course!" said Elena accommodatingly, unfazed by Serena's manner. In fact, she looked relieved that she wasn't being formal. "I promise, I won't get in your way." she smiled as she got in one of the cars. Some of the body guards though looked on disapprovingly because of Serena's sass.

@Maeve Valor

There were two ordinary looking cars for the President. Chill got into the one where the President and his daughter were seated; Ethan, Salem, Lynch, and the three other bodyguards also got in with him.

The interior of the cars have been enchanted with enlarging spells so that they looked normal on the outside, but roomy enough to fit seven people comfortably in the back seat.

If anything were to happen, Chill was to carry Elena out of danger. Had he been bigger, he would have been tasked to carry the president.

And with that they were off to the Circus. Elena was very excited and was like a child as she gazed out of the window admiring Helsalem's Halloween. Traffic was bad as usual, but by two in the afternoon they arrived at the Circus which was jam packed with people.

"Alright, sweetheart, where's that legendary killer roller coaster you've been dying to ride?" asked President Woods still in disguise.

"Over here, dad! Oh, wow, look they made real houses out of candy!" Elena pointed excitedly at a spot by an open field where kids were scrambling all over a group of small cottages and eating it.

Chill, Salem, and Ethan casually moved away from the group. They followed their charges without seeming to, keeping an eye out for familiar underground faces; Klaus stayed in one of the cars with three laptops linked to the park server, keeping watch through the security cameras.

"You don't think I wouldn't recognize you?" Dyani laughed at Serena, his voice lifting about the music. "You're pretty much the only person here who looks so miffed. I just gotta look for the angriest person and usually it's you." Dyani snickered, still bouncing to the beat of the music energetically. God, it was almost too easy. Serena's nerves were pulled thin, and it was so easy plucking them. Yeah, Dyani knew that it probably wasn't a good idea to do that to someone who would potentially be sharing the battlefield with...but what the heck? It was fun and Dyani loved to have fun.

Dyani's eyes turned to the the President and his daughter as they walked in. Hm, maybe I should be professional. He momentarily stopped dancing. Serena, as usual, rudely dismissed Dyani, but this time he didn't pay much attention. Man, the president. The actual president. Crazy things happened to the least likely people.

--------------

"Hello, Mr. President! And hello to the little miss President!"

Well, so much for professional. Dyani shook both of their hands, all with a cheesy grin plastered on his face. "You ain't got nothing to worry about. Who's going to mess with a big, angry elk?"

Dyani, in all honesty, couldn't wait the for the night. Yes, it would be a serious job and he would do his best. But, the chance to walk under the moon again would be great. Even roughing up a few bad guys wouldn't be so bad. It had been a while since he got his antlers tangled in anything. It was always nice seeing the looks on peoples' faces when a screaming elk came charging at them, head bowed forward.

"And don't worry," He murmured slyly to the president and his daughter. "I'll also protect you guys from her--" He pointed very obviously at Serena. "--free of charge." He snickered before quickly scurrying away to avoid her wrath. Before he got into the car, Dyani gave a comforting pat on Chill's shoulder. "You got it, man. Don't worry about a thing." He wasn't sure what it was, but he always had been supportive to Chill and always willing to lend a good word.

<Blanca>

-Reclusive Mechanic-

Blanca nodded happily to Klaus' response, and laughed subtly when he accidentally messed up her name. He had said he would be prepared, but... Undoubtedly, he was a bit nervous. Blanca could only smile wryly as he left the room at that, leaving her with only the sound of the fireplace, and the view of Lions running across the savannas coming from the television.

Wheeling over to a desk that had the TV remote on it, Blanca turned off the television before turning to the door... Only to stop one she saw two gifts sitting on the desk. She had been more absorbed with putting her invention down and interacting with Klaus to notice them, but now, all alone, she couldn't help but see the two boxes with odd Bat-and-Pumpkin themed wrapping paper sitting on the desk. With her curiosity getting the better of her, Blanca wheeled over to the boxes and peered at the names of who they would go to.

'The President and his Daughter... These... Were these possibly what Mr. Milson came in to get?' Blanca thought about the possible reasons for the gifts. Considering their wrapping, they were obviously Halloween gifts... Perhaps they would be used to show Mr. Milson's appreciation of the President choosing Libra to defend them? It was also possible that they had some sort of hidden defense mechanism within them, as to enhance the pair's safety... In both cases, the gifts had a purpose that was beneficial to Libra.

'And because of the misunderstanding I caused, they won't be delivered.'

Blanca paused at that thought for a moment -- only a moment -- before she took both presents onto her lap, turned her wheelchair to the door hurriedly, and wheeled to the exit, grabbing her mask as she passed it.

A short while later

Blanca emerged from her room in a White Hoodie with occasional yellow strips modeled after Sebby's paintjob, white sweat pants, and grey shoes. Quickly, Blanca ran down the stairs of the Cafe. While it was likely that the President had already left, she still wished to find the Milsons and see what they'd like her to do with these presents -- so much so that she felt that she didn't have time to make use of her custom-made wheelchair-friendly staircase.

Making sure to keep distance from the party-goers who remained continued to socialize at the now-finished party, she scanned the room for Mr. or Mrs. Milson with the two presents in her hands. She soon found Mr. Milson speaking to Bob about the cleanup, and quickly approached him, tapping his shoulder and speaking in her usual silvery voice.

"Mr. Milson."

"The presents!" exclaimed Mr. Milson when he saw them as though he just remembered that they were important. "Bob, I need your help."

"Oh, no, we talked about this. I am not. going to turn. into a unicorn. so that you can ride me around like some common horse to wherever you need me to go." said Bob, pointing a finger at him.

"Mr. Milson," interrupted an agent, "Red just told us one of the Elder Thirteen was in the Bazaar and she's asking if you want her to follow --- says she has a bad feeling."; and a second later another agent came up and reported that the Demon Parade were actually having a parade in broad daylight and the minister of Helsalem are asking Libra for back up in dispersing them.

Mr. Milson was so busy. He turned to Blanca, "Blanca, I know you don't like crowds, but could you give the presents to . . . " he paused for a while, thinking. Serena was too blunt, Chill would probably keep something this nice for himself . . . "Dyani, and ask him to give it properly to the President and his daughter?" then a thought occurred to him. Does Blanca, who was the most recluse person he's ever known, know how to get to Central Park?

(OOC: @Ensig, if you like, you can ride Bob the Unicorn to the circus. @Orpheus, @OverconfidentMagi, you guys can join in on this if you wish. )

" Central Park, Circus "

The president and his daughter laughed at Dyani's remark.

"You and Serena must be very good friends, Dyani." said Elena later when they were already in the Circus and waiting in line for the Killer Roller Coaster. "I've only ever heard of vampires being feared and hunted by others . . . Libra is so interesting, I've never heard of one being good and friends with ordinary folk."

Chill, who was behind them and drinking, snorted pumpkin juice out of his nose as he laughed. He didn't doubt that Serena was on their side, but to him she was far, faaar from friendly.

@Maeve Valor, @Cosmic Cobalt

Serena shot Dyani a death glare after his statement about protecting the president and his daughter against her and then snickered away. "I swear if I ever get my bloodlust back he is going to be my very first target. She was going to say a smart remark back to him but decided against it just in the mere fact that she felt it wasn't worth it; instead she rolled her eyes and shook her head. She saw Dyani get into the other car while she waited for some of the other operatives to move into the car first. At this point, she refused to sit next to him only to have him bombard her with comments that he thinks is witty. "Tonight is going to be a looong night."

Later on she found herself in line for a big roller coaster with Chill, Dyani, President Woods, and Elena. She stared up at the roller coaster starting to feel a bit queezy already, but didn't show it. It wasn't the heights that bothered her but it was the stomach churn that did whenever you ride down a steep slope on them.

Serena's attention was averted back to President Woods and Elena because they brought back up Dyani's previous comment. Soon after Elena's statement about her being good she witnessed Chill covering his face from the pumpkin juice he had coming out of his nose as he laughed. "First of all," Serena stomped on one of Chill's feet to get him to stop laughing. "Secondly, I am NOT friends with Dyani. Although... I will appreciate your kind gesture Elena." She mumbled the last part. She also didn't mention to her that she in fact considered herself to have no friends. She knows Elena would've tried to fix such things if she told her.

Serena coughed and then tried to change the subject, "Do you think the other operatives need help surveying around the roller coaster before President Woods and his daughter get on? I think I'll go survey the entrance." She asked Dyani and Chill before she tried to make her escape from her too getting on the roller coaster.

"Ow!" said Chill, rubbing his foot angrily. "I can see why you're not friends with Dyani . . . or anybody for that matter." he muttered grumpily, moving out of Serena's stomping range.

Elena just looked amused.

Around the entrance, there was a crowd watching the ride; there was a man in a mummy costume selling ice cream with Halloween toppings of gummy worms and candy eyeballs to some kids; and across that was a shooting and dart throwing stall where all sorts of stuffed monster dolls were lined up as prizes.

And then he passed by, a tall pale young man with short dark hair and crimson eyes strolling through the costumed crowd under a black umbrella: Drake Vongola, oldest vampire of the Elder Thirteen. He was talking to a woman who was wearing an odd looking gas mask and carrying what seemed to be a box of small cakes.

They haven't seemed to notice Serena or the rest of the group and were just checking out the stalls as they headed for The Tunnel of Love.

Nona Usagi

Country Lane Coffee Shop

Halloween Party

The young girl cheered as she was picked up by the massive wall of a unicorn man and was set on his broad shoulders. She could see the whole room from up here! Mr. Unicorn kept right on dancing as the song changed, but as she didn't exactly know how one danced from atop a unicorn Nona contented herself with swaying her head back and forth as she hummed along with the music.

As the band wound down their playing, from her crow's nest vantage point Nona spied Mr. Milson as he approached. What, had she done something wrong? Or no, he was looking for her mount, not her. She tried not to be too disappointed, which turned out to be the easiest thing in the world when she found out that Bob, that was her mount's name, could turn into a real unicorn. But for some reason he didn't want to turn into one for whatever it was Mr. Milson wanted him to do. She didn't really know or care about all of that, she just knew that Bob was going to turn into a unicorn and let her ride him, whether he wanted to or not. He didn't have a say in the matter.

The vampire girl's crimson eyes shone dangerously from beneath the large witch hat that shadowed her face right before she dove in for the kill.

"You're a unicorn!" She swung around to hang from his massive neck, dangling down by two thin arms. Her eyes reflected the universal desire of every young girl, living or undead, to ride a unicorn. "I wanna ride! Ride ride ride!" She was practically jumping on him as she pleaded for the unicorn man to let her ride him. "Come on, leeeeeeeets gooooooo!" The was trying to drag him by the neck towards the nearest door, not realizing that since she was pushing against his chest she wasn't actually going to be pulling anyone anywhere. "Unicorn riiiiiiiides," she was practically singing it at this point.

Dusty

Dusty had done his best to try and stay out of anyone's range in the party, taking whatever snack and candy he could out of the table. he decided to take a few bites of cake, then another piece of larger size, then another fistful of the sweet goodness that was the frosting covered chocolate sponge, then and cheesecake, and pie, soon enough all sorts of pastries that were there stuffing them all inside his mouth like a ravenous child. he never tasted anything like this before, the sweetness was amazing to his senses causing his mind to swirl in a mix of euphoria as he grabbed a pitcher of juice to wash all of the sweetness down. his gauntlets now matted with icing and sticky with sugar, dusty was ready for the next venture in his conquest in search of even more samples of whatever the party had to offer. his tail started swishing about madly in joy as he took a handful of cookies, cupcakes, sweetrolls, and snacks taking them away from the table to throughly enjoy.

as he did however he noticed his boss, Mr. Milson, moving towards the large burly unicorn man and his rider with the face of worry in his eyes, they met occasionally once a few times though they never did properly have the opportunity to talk. it looked like he was busy with something important but he didn't know much about. he licked his fingers clean off the sugar and wiped his hands on the tattered blue rags of his costume, deciding to observe the situation from afar his ears perking up and honing in to their conversations as he sat by a nearby chair to listen in, clasping his hands and resting his chin on them looking like he was waiting for someone. Dusty was always curious about what his organization did on the outside, recluse as he was, he wasn't too knowledgeable about what operations they conduct, nothing beyond what Brandon had told him. so this was a good opportunity as any to know.

he eavesdropped on their conversations, his eyes widened in shock as he heard the unicorn man complain about turning into a unicorn, which fired tangents of thoughts in dusty's head. How does he turn into one? Do sparks and rainbows fly when he does? he found the thought surprisingly amusing and hoped to see if it could happen, but further along the conversation he overheard something relating to the Demon Parade, Elder 13, and the giving of gifts to the President and his daughter!? well that was definitely news to him, he didn't know Libra's influence spread to the actual head their government, and the thought of actually meeting someone of such stature spiked the curiosity in his heart, but also the butterflies in his stomach. he wanted to tag along something in his fur making it feel as if things may not go well in this endeavor, which lead him to jump at Nona's sudden demands at unicorn rides, the pitch of her voice nearly puncturing his sensitive ears as he pushes his helmet closer to his head

he had heard enough to understand the situation, but wanted to know what would happen next in this. it felt like the start of some adventure, but more importantly he wanted to see unicorn man become unicorn, that was something he wanted to immortalize somehow. he didn't want to come towards them however, they don't know him, and his gut kept him from moving his legs to actually say he wanted in. he was excited to know what was going on outside of his window side, so he wouldn't pass up this opportunity. Central Park, he knows where it is, and the fastest route, Brandon showed him all the ins and outs of helsalem before. no choice in the matter, he slowly walked towards the group of concerned people with jiggly legs and armor almost shaking as he kept his head down on his hood. as he neared them, he only hoped he wasnt staring directly at him as he clenched and unclenched his fist. he then spoke

"u-uhhh, i-If it's not much too ask...... *Gulp* Think i can come along... uh.. b-boss.."

he darted his eyes in and out of their sight. mustering himself to even speak.

".....i ummm... kinda overheard you...... s-sorry.."

"Dusty! Good that you're here." said Mr. Milson turning to the jomyaku hurriedly and showing him the small presents. "Could you deliver these to Dyani and tell him to give them to the U.S. President and his daughter properly?"

He gave him an earpiece that was a communications device. "This'll let you contact him, Klaus, and any of the others if you have any questions." the other agents were impatiently waiting for Mr. Milson's orders, one of them was on the phone with Helsalem's minister telling him that they were coming to help with the Demon Parade.

"I've got to go --- Blanca, I encourage you to go with them, you've been cooped up in your room for almost two months. Bob, thanks for understanding!" he added as he turned to address the other problems that cropped up while rushing out the back door, his coat on backwards.

Bob just stared after him in disbelief, before he looked down and noticed the little vampire girl pulling on his beefy neck. No matter how much he tried to pull, he couldn't get her off. Sighing resolutely, he beckoned the group outside, "Let's go." he said gruffly.

Bob went behind the shop's garden shed out of everyone's sight before he undressed then transformed into a rearing majestic snow white unicorn.

Dusty

I uhhhh... Wait What!?

Dusty found himself in an unusual position of acting as the courier rather than the guide. frantically grabbing the Presents and nearly slipping on in his fingers and causing him to juggle the box in fit of panic as everyone just suddenly decided on him. He knew the boss was busy but to toss all that responsibility on to him from the get go. he didn't know if he should be worried or glad.

'Whoa Jeez! Wai-!"

dusty fumbled around somehow lost in all of the sudden happenings, attempting to get his bearings only to notice that Unicorn bob immediately went off to the secluded location to apparently strip?..... he paused for a split second trying to realize where he was, but... in the end it suddenly didnt matteeeerr... wooaahh hoooh! wait what!? WHAT!?*whats going on!! Thats How Unicorns Change!?!? *

Apparently in all the confusion, Dusty had followed Bob's after image and unwittingly stumbled himself into what looked like a lumber mill at work he hadn't any arms left to cover the his face, both of them occupied with the presents, leaving him to the full one pony show, wanting the gods themselves to bless him with darkness as the Ink smoke started splattering in his eyes to preserve whatever semblance of sanity he has after the apparent spectacle he witnessed which was not at all what he had expected. As Bob had shifted into his, albeit too majestic too miss form, Dusty had darted away, latching his back onto a wall with a face of fear, disgust, and sheer horror, like a child seeing an elephant give birth in the circus. Everything just overwhelmed him all at once, he had to focus! focus! avert thine thoughts from the Nightmare of the Horned Ho- Oh GOD IT CAME BACK!!

Dusty Scratched his eyes in the darkness screaming neath his hood as he held the presents close.

Bob suddenly demanded as dusty slowly followed the voice

"S-sorry just..... All happy unicorn thoughts have long since been trash now!!"

Not wasting time, he jumped on to his back leaving one of his eyes open, Wide open as if to dry his eye to make him tear and wash away the image.

"G-go to the West Side Intersection first..."

he spoke, as he lay his stomach on top of the unicorn. feeling sick and not wanting to be in this ride any longer and just give

the presents. He could feel the cake and pastries scent in his nostrils as he attempted to keep his Halloween snackage inside him.

<Blanca>

-Reclusive Mechanic-

Blanca simply stared at Mr. Wilson when he gave her directions, with her mind grinding to a halt as he mentioned delivering the presents herself. It was to be expected, of course. Libra agents must have been spread thin, given the amount of people pestering Mr. Wilson, but... 'Crowds are... Bad.'

Getting to the objective was no issue. She could possess any of her Mechas, which would be able to gain a map to the Carnaval through their connection to Webster, but that wouldn't solve the alarms going off in Blanca's head shouting "Crowds = Bad" over and over like some sort of religious chant. Even if she were to go inside of a Mecha, she still wouldn't like being around so many people... Just thinking about the loud noises, the pushing and shoving, and the grave possibility of conversation with strangers was enough for her to cringe slightly.

Just as Blanca was about to selfishly request that someone else delivered the packages, the little girl on Bob's shoulders, followed by a male Jomyaku-ko spoke up. The young girl only seemed interested in the ride, but the boy seemed as though he wanted to assist in the delivery -- even if he was a bit awkward about requesting to do so. Any responsible adult would say that they'd assist the shy introverted young man, but..."Have fun." Blanca was not a responsible adult. She was a recluse. She'd just go back to her room and plan out a lesson for Klaus while she--

"Blanca, I encourage you to go with them, you've been cooped up in your room for almost two months."

Cutting through her thoughts, Blanca made a near-silent "Guu..." as though the words had struck her right in the gut. In response to Mr. Milson's words, she could only nod in response before walking out of the cafe with the rest of the group, and turning to the alley behind the cafe to posses one of her Mechas: CH4T. Considering the fact that this was a delivery mission, picking a lightweight Mecha would be for the best.

Ghost in the Machine → CH4T

> Starting up

.

..

...

> Startup Successful

Adjusting her paws and moving her legs as they heated up, Blanca looked down at her own body, now in a dormant state, before picking it up and entering the Cafe through the back, scaling the stairs, and placing her body onto her wheelchair within her room. Thankfully, CH4T could move faster than most Humans, so she was finished within ~20 seconds, leaving the Cafe once again and heading towards the direction the rest of the group had been moving to prior to her machine-possession.

She soon found Bob, who had transformed into his Unicorn form, and...

"G-go to the West Side Intersection first..."

...

"What happened to him?" Blanca pointed one of her 'claws' at the Jomyaku-ko that looked like he would spew at any moment and spoke in her machine-like voice. One of her cat-like eyes was narrowed to emulate a questioning look as she stared at Bob and awaited his reply.

As unwilling as she was to release her hold, Nona was eventually pried off so that Bob the unicorn could transform in relative peace. She was pouting outside the shop when her rabbit found her. It stared up at her blankly until she got annoyed and kicked it away, but it just scurried right back a second later. She was winding up for a better kick that would have punted the little rabbit over a good rooftop or two at least when her unicorn returned. She spun mid-kick, and the rabbit slammed face-first into the side of the coffee shop instead.

"Unicorn riiiiide!" she called out excitedly as she ran at Bob and covered the last half of the distance with a single supernatural leap to land standing atop his back. Much to her irritation, she wasn't to be the only one riding Bob the unicorn. There was already an annoying person who'd climbed on to her unicorn. She wanted to kick him off, but Mr. Milson had told him to come, so she just sat down with a humph and glared at him.

Down below the white rabbit had picked itself up off the ground and was ponderously working out in its stuffing-filled brain how one got to the top of whatever this furry mountain was. All it knew was that its master was at the top, so it had to get up there. Its button eyes spied what looked like a collection of ropes swaying back and forth on one end of the thing. The rabbit jumped in an attempt to grab ahold of the unicorn's tail as it passed him by... and missed. It came back down, the rabbit jumped again, and missed. The rabbit clenched its stuffed fists and bent its legs as low as they would go. He jumped. But he hadn't payed attention to where the collection of ropes were and missed again as they flew out of reach. And so it went until the unicorn galloped away down the street.

" Central Park"

Bob gave a manly "Neigh." swishing his immaculate mane. "That's what happens when they don't wear polarizers, baby" he said in a deep husky voice, "They go blind from the light . . . but don't worry, he'll be alright."

And with that sweet rhyme smoothly hanging in the air, Bob reared resplendently then bolted off into the street with his charges. He followed Dusty's instructions without fail, winding through shortcuts and skidding around corners of narrow streets. Many kids and bystanders pointed excitedly at them admiring how well the two kids on Bob's back costumed their horse.

"Nice, robot costume lady!" waved a kid at Blanca as they passed by.

Traffic was bad at the highway, so the unicorn thundered across a bridge where the Demon Parade was passing by creating a foggy mist in their wake as the minister's Espers tried to disperse them, leaped over a canal in slow motion, and finally skidded to a stop outside the carnival. He turned to look at his charges, hoping that the last rough stretch didn't make them woozy. "We have arrived." Bob bent down so that they can dismount smoothly.

"This is as far as I go, good luck in the carnival, kids, I've got a party to clean
--- why is it already five-thirty?" he snorted, bewildered. Some people actually stared at the talking unicorn, "I mean, neigh."

Something must have happened to them when they passed by the Demon Parade. It wasn't uncommon to hear stories of people who play hide and seek in haunted places re-emerge from their hiding spot to find out that more than a few hours have passed since they hid instead of just a few minutes.

Dusty

Dusty had rougher rides in lifetime, but never had he been blessed with such a horrible one that day. on top of the horror he had witnessed, riding a horse was, well..... not a pleasurable experience. he felt sick from all the galloping and his head was swirling due to the gut wrenching he was currently facing from it all. on top of that there was an annoying girl that was once the unicorns necktie that rode along with him, along with a wierd looking mechanical thing that.... and he kept a mental note of this.... he might exorcise soon..... though by the looks of it, it wasnt of any harm but it still made him worry during the whole gallop to the circus.

The boy quickly got to his feet feeling the balance and level of land as he leaned heavily on his metal pole for help. his throat was in a spasm storm trying to keep his guts from spewing and wasting all the sweetness he had just ate. his stomach sore and weak, he wanted some fresh air too so he took off his hood letting his large ears plop out and stand on his head.

"Unicorns are..... not magical at all *urp*..."

a sudden gastric wave, and Dusty clamped his mouth with his hands keeping still as his body shivers in rejection to the regurgitation. he was successful, and hopefully that one stayed inside of him. he blinked his eyes looking at his two companions wondering where they were now. judging by the lights, festivities, and decorations, they finally reached the destination. it wouldve been nice had it not been for the people and crowds to sift through to find the president. he knew Dyani though, well, saw Dyani before... he can tell his description but going about trying to find him, thats another quest entirely.

"Ugh.... i feel like im about to barf again...."

he stated frustratingly as he went off to search for the person in question.....

... several minutes pass and Dusty Found himself near a roller coaster. feeling a little worse for wear and he;d rather not want to explain why. that was a story for another time, He had hoped to find him in this place somehow, and noticed a woman with red hair walking about the entrance. He.... had a feeling... an odd feeling about her.... almost as odd at the rabbit girl but he had thought it was because she was just too damn weird. He walked up behind her, the physical uneasiness muting out his introverted hesitation to make way for just-finishing-the -job motivation, and tapped behind her shoulder

"Hey... Ugh... hey Lady.. Imma need your help with summin..."

She wasn't the person he was looking for, but hopefully she'll lead em to him.

Dyani tapped his foot impatiently. He kept checking his wrist repeatedly, before realizing that he actually didn't own a watch. He began looking up at the sky, wondering how many hours of daylight he had left. He didn't say anything out loud--he was doing his best to keep a positive and polite outlook--but he couldn't help but get anxious for the nighttime. It was quite a while since he had the chance to really change into his elk form. He hadn't been able to find a big enough chunk of free time to really enjoy himself. Not that hanging out with the President and his daughter wasn't fun, but he just wished the sun would set already.

He tapped Chill on the shoulder. "Hey, man. Do you got a watch? When is it going to get dark?" He quickly added, as not to sound rude, "Just, uh, you know. Wondering. Just so I can get ready, y'know?"

As he anxiously followed behind the President, he noticed someone who had walked up to Serena and had begun to talking to them. Uh oh. Better save that poor soul. Darting away from the group for a split second, he appeared quickly besides Serena, casually pushing her aside slightly. "Hey buddy, need help? I think you should ask me instead. This one may bite..."

- The Rift -

"Carnival at Central Park"

"It's almost six o' clock." Chill told Dyani, tensely, as the group was walking through a crowd of happy families and early trick-or-treaters. "One minute to go before The Rift."

Chill had let loose at the Halloween party and joined in the carnival rides with the other Libra agents to release some of the tension he'd been feeling since he woke up this morning. The Killer roller coaster did not disappoint (he stepped down the ride his hair all windswept and exciting) and he had a lot of fun crashing into the others during the Bumper Car rides (but then he threw up his mushroom beef burrito later), he was also able to take a lot of great photos of everyone while they were watching the high wire and animal dancing act in the grand carnival tent, and he won himself an authentic 19th century pocket watch from a swindler.

But now that the hour was here, his nervousness came back in spades, and he breathed deeply as he watched the hands of his watch crawl slowly up to twelve; Ethan, who wore an undead pirate king costume, unconsciously placed a hand on his rapier, a real goblin forged blade; Salem was walking casually, but his tail was swishing back and forth too quickly; and Klaus who was standing by inside one of the President's cars watched the cameras vigilantly.

6:00

A sharp ringing, a cackle of red lightning. And the space was torn right in front of the President and his daughter. Everything seemed fuzzy, slow. In that infinitesimal pause before Chill blinked, the silhouettes of many strangely shaped creatures grinned from beyond the Shadow --- then lunged.

At once, the president and his daughter were pierced by terrible wicked blades from four scarecrow fiends and sent flying across the street and crashing into a stall as dozens more came gleefully charging out of the portal and cutting down everyone in sight; shrouding mist was blossoming everywhere in the carnival.

(OOC: @Orpheus, @Ensig, @Maeve Valor, @Cosmic Cobalt, @OverconfidentMagi, we'll have our first battle tutorial after your next posts tomorrow, so feel free to fight with all your might before then.)

<Blanca>

-Reclusive Mechanic-

Blanca had ran alongside Bob as the group made their way to the carnival, although 'ran' may not be the best way to describe it. She had lowered the friction generated between her feet and the ground, so perhaps it would be more accurate to say that she 'skated' alongside them with movements similar to a rollerblader. It was thanks to these movements that the people around town that had looked at the group (whether to compliment their costumes or simply gawk at a unicorn running down the streets) didn't think much of her maneuverability.

Once they arrived at the venue, Blanca gave a short "Thank you." to Bob before turning to Dusty and tilting her head at his condition. It was undoubtedly a good idea to have taken the presents from him as they traveled here, given the fact he needed his hands to assist in holding back his urge to vomit... Still, CH4T didn't have any curative functions, so she could do nothing but watch as he made his way into the crowd, following him closely as to not lose him in the festive carnival.

After a couple of minutes, they arrived at a roller coaster of sorts, with a familiar Vampire standing in front of the entrance. Dusty seemed to recognize her as well, and approached her with a question while Blanca scanned the surroundings. Given the fact that Serena was here, Dyani would also be nearby... Or so Blanca thought before her eyes landed on the man in question, now standing with Dusty.

"Mission complete." muttered Blanca as she approached the group. She arrived next to Dusty just as Dyani made a comment on Serena's... Less than hospitable personality. "Dyani. We've been sent by Mr. Milson; these are for the President and his daughter." Blanca held both of the presents in her paws, and was about to present them before...

*BAbaBABaban*

"Gehehehe~"

"Nyekekeke!"

"Kahahaha~!"

"Huhuhuhu!"

Blanca's vision snapped over to the source of the eerie laughter, chills going up her mechanical spine as her eyes arrived at what could only be described as a tear in space. And beyond the rift... Were smiles. For a moment, Blanca's mind went blank as a thought occurred to her: 'What time is it?'. Looking to the top right of her Mecha's UI, she received her answer and muttered to herself with the mechanical voice of her creation. "6:00... Then, that's the Rift...?"

With alarms ringing off in her head, Blanca watched as two individuals were struck by the fiendish beings beyond the rift, causing them to be sent flying down the street and crash into stalls before coming to a halt. They were in costume, so it might have been difficult to see, but... The two had physiques matching the individuals Libra had been charged to protect.

"Not good..."

With just that, Blanca ran through the increasingly-dense mists that were emerging all around them, towards the stalls that the two people had collided with. She could only hope that they were simply civilians that resembled the President and his Daughter...

After Serena walked away from the line she waited under a nice place with shade to shield her from the setting sun. Minutes past as with each one she grew wary. Her instincts as both a past assassin and as a Libra operative started to set in. Serena's mind was set into a mode that made her even more serious than usual. Leaning against the side of a stand, she carefully watched Mr. Woods and his daughter getting ready for anything that was to occur. Except for the tap on her shoulder. She was about to turn her forearm into a shortsword and attack, but that was until she heard the voice and Dyani had come over to "save the day". "Hey buddy, need help? I think you should ask me instead. This one may bite..." Wanting to interject, her vision wandered with an eyebrow raised at the group that had previously tried to get her attention. She recognized two out of the three people but never really talked to them. The one that she had never seen before was the robot-looking one. She had no idea what that was about. Serena was about to inquire to them about the robot until everything became fuzzy and in slow-motion.

Serena had lost track of time and it occurred to her that she had taken her eyes off the targets. As if on queue from her realization a lightning bolt struck followed by an attack on the two said targets. Her heart dropped, but not from fear that her mission might have just failed. It was from the fact that she told Elena that she would do her very best to protect her, but she didn't pay enough attention to them to assure her own promise.

- Chill Sandell -

"Carnival at Central Park"

Under the wreckage of the stalls, the disguises on the president and the daughter were slipping. @Ensig, @Maeve Valor, as far as your characters could see they were unconscious and severely bleeding: the president's back was in a strange angle, and a strip of wooden beam had impaled Elena's side. The four grinning scarecrows stepped on their bodies as they loomed over them looking for more people to slash.

Immediately, Ethan drew his blade and hurtled towards one fiend with a straight piercing thrust that clanged with red sparks as it met the scarecrow's cleaver arm; RATATATA! flashed Salem's semi-automatic gunblades, Crimson and Doozie, as he rained a hail of frost bolts at the monsters flooding out of the portal; the heavy chain of a kusarigama wrapped around the peg leg of another scarecrow, before Chill yanked the monster towards him as if it weighed no lighter than a rock, then dealt a heavy downwards slash with his kama.

"Don't move the President and Elena!" yelled Klaus through their comms. With a broken spine, and impalement, shifting the victims' position might worsen the injury and reduce their chances of survival. "Lily's on her way, safeguard the area till then!"

"The portal's right in front of us, Klaus, we'll be overrun!" said Salem.

"Find a way."

Nona Usagi

Carnival at Central Park

The Rift

Nona shook her head in disappointment at the weakling boy who obviously hadn't enjoyed the ride nearly as much as she had. She thanked Bob the unicorn for the ride as she jumped lightly from his back to the ground. New mission acquired. Carnival time! As the others went looking for whoever it was they'd come here to find Nona stealthily slipped away into the crowd of people... and other things.

She came to a stop with her face pressed against the window of a stall watching a strange machine spin pink thread.

"Hey-llo there," a man on the other side of the stand was looking right at her. "You want some cotton candy?"

So it was candy then? "I was just looking," she said. "I didn't even bring any money with me." Well, that was mostly true. She did have two dollars in coins in case she needed to use a payphone. Either way she didn't have enough to spend on snacks.

A pile of pink fluff appeared in front of her. "On the house then, or stand, whatever. Just make sure to point anyone who asks my way."

Nona took the tiny paper cone in her hands and thanked the man before skipping away down the street. Lucky lucky yummy and lucky! She took a bit bite. Too sweet. But the man had been so nice, so she kept eating it. By the fifth mouthful of pure sugar she thought she might make herself sick if she ate any more. She'd found out that she didn't like cotton candy. As soon as she was out of sight of the nice man who'd given it to her for free she found a garbage can and threw it away. Nona continued on her adventure through the carnival.

Red lightning flashed, piercing through the mundane roar of people and non-people enjoying the holiday festivities. Something heavy crashed into one of the stalls further down the street, and people started screaming and running every which way. Nona cocked her head to the side. "Hmmmm?" Her eyes fell upon another food stand, this one selling apples covered in caramel. She wondered if she could get one of those for free too. But she needn't have worried about having to pay, since it looked like whoever had been manning the stand had joined with the rest of the crowd that was fleeing down the street.

"If no one's here when I count to five I'm just gonna take one," Nona called into the crowd, but it was doubtful anyone had even heard her over the people rushing and yelling to get away from whatever commotion was happening just down the street. She grinned as she grabbed one of the brown apples and took a big bite. Mmmmmm, much better than that pink fluff. The green apple was sour beneath the sticky caramel.

She leaned back as a sharp blade cut through where her face had been a half-second earlier. The severed ends of light blue hair drifted down in front of Nona's face, but she was more pissed off by the top half of her apple falling to the ground. Her red eyes locked down on the one responsible for her loss with a deadly gaze. Nona's foot connected with the fiend's side hard and knocked it completely through the candy apple stand and the stand next to it right into the wall of the building behind with a concerning cracking sound.

"Serves you right!" But more of the blade-wielding fiends were coming from down the street. So that was what people were yelling about. Nona jumped onto the top of one of the stands and from there jumped once more to grab the edge of a rooftop and pulled herself up.

Nona's stuffed rabbit released its death grip on the unicorn's tail and fell down to street level. It wasn't allowed a moment of peace though, because its master was already skipping away through the crowd. It picked itself up and chased through the jungle of swinging legs and kicking feet after her. The rabbit lost sight of the girl it was chasing after for a while after someone kicked it halfway across the street. It ran onward, searching for a flash of white and light blue in the sea of people.

There it was! Its master was tossing something into the garbage. The rabbit ran towards her across the street, and was almost trampled to death as the entire forest of legs and feet suddenly surged towards it. Every time the rabbit tried to stand back up it was stomped back down or kicked back further from where its master was. But eventually the rush thinned just enough for the rabbit to force its way forward again.

Emerging from the crowd the rabbit saw something that looked dangerous rushing towards its master. She wasn't looking and didn't even know she was in danger at all. The rabbit ran as fast as its short stuffed legs would carry it and dove to tackle its master's leg. Turns out that stuffing tends not to lend itself well to pushing people out of the way, but it was enough to make her look up and avoid having her face sliced by the fiend's wicked knife.

The rabbit slumped down to the ground in a combination of relief and exhaustion. Something landed on its back. The rabbit tried turning its head to see what it was, but for some reason it couldn't move its head. It reached it arm to touch whatever it was, and its hand got stuck to it. The rabbit struggled to its feet and turned around, but no matter how much it tried it couldn't see what was stuck to its back. And now its ear and arm were stuck too.

And to top it all off, Nona was gone again.

  • - (skullKing) - Dice Battle Tutorial - (skullKing) -

    "Cue battle music "

Hello, everyone, I assume you all have read the "Dice Combat" rules under the Overview tab, if not, please read it. We will be using four ten-sided dies or "4d10". For this tutorial, there is no post length requirement nor post order, only remember to use up all your dice rolls per round.

Dice battle starts with the GM putting up a crowned skull title like the one above and then setting up the scene. For this tutorial, I will make it simple:

    "

    T

here are eight hostile scarecrow fiends (3 Hp each, and one for each of the players to practice with) surrounding the area where President Woods and Elena are incapacitated and bleeding to death. The fiends must be destroyed to save the two.

    "

This battle is a closed battle, where for now NPCs cannot help. For players with multiple main characters, there is no switching. Only choose one character until the battle is over.

Next, react to the scene, post what you wrote, then roll 4d10 from that post. If you have a roll equal or within your success or evade attributes, you can spend those rolls to perform successful offensive or defensive maneuvers. You may also edit the post you rolled the dice from and write up the results there.

Remember that one dice can only affect one target and each successful attack reduces only 1 Hp from the enemy. When an enemy's Hp = 0, feel free to finish it off with a coup de grace.

Example: Chill has a success rate of 4.

    "

    C

hill whipped back the heavy chain, and swung it in an arc, just as another scarecrow came spinning madly at him in a whirlwind sword dance."

EDIT: "the chain wove around its torso like string around a top ( successful roll 3. This is a non-lethal move that doesn't reduce Hp, but hinders the enemy's ability to evade attacks. When performing non-lethal attacks, pick only one thing to disable). The scarecrow was lighter than he, and he yanked it tight, pulling the fiend forward into his waiting rapid strike.

A revolving sideways slash (successful roll 1, enemy -1 Hp), followed by a spinning kick that sent his foe flying (unsuccessful roll 8, but since the enemy cannot evade, -1 Hp), then a finishing yank that would have decapitated the fiend, but another scarecrow came hurtling from the mist and broke the chain of his kusarigama in two. (I could have chosen to end it there, but that's boring.)"

And thus ends my character's turn for Round 1. Players then wait for the GM to control the enemies who will also get a chance to attack players. Does anyone have any questions you'd like to discuss in the OOC tab?

"Oh, hey!" Dyani reached forward to grab the presents. "Thanks, uh..." He scratched his neck, trying to dig through his memory for her name. "I appreciate it." He awkwardly said instead. He had her name right on the tip of his tongue, but for the love of him he just couldn't remember it. Instead, he opted to smile at her and reach for the presents. He made a mental note in the back of his head to remember names better. He wasn't a super social guy and he didn't go out with the other members much, but he still thought it would be at least somewhat polite to remember them.

Then the air shifted.

Dyani froze. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no.

Quickly, without even taking the present, he turned around and ran back to the President and his daughter.

Too late.

He saw them, and he saw the splatter of blood on the ground. That was their blood. Dyani's entire body froze up.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no--

With a soft light, Dyani's body began to shift, his form growing and bulging bigger, still running towards them. His form lengthened and grew, a crown of sharp antlers growing from his head. His form had completely changed and the light on his body blew away and disappeared on the wind. Dyani screeched, hooves galloping fiercely on the ground. He saw the President and his daughter on the ground, bleeding and un-moving. Dyani cut through the mist like water, running towards their attackers in a furious rage. A primal anger had taken over his mind, adrenaline pulsating through his veins and muscles.

[dice]24410[/dice]

ACTION

Dyani ran into a scarecrow, goring it with his antlers and tossing it aside. (Offensive; Roll [2]) He let out a strangled cry, in an attempt to draw the attention from the President and daughter and to himself. (Attract; Roll [9]) His hooves stepped lightly over the ground, ready to quickly run or evade when they came after him. (Evade +1; Roll [5])
