There will be no canon characters in this roleplay. It will be as if the Percy Jackson series did not happen. The Greek and Roman camps don't know about each other, Kronos never made a bid for power, so on and so forth.
The Quest...
Every Demigod wishes for their first quest, they dream of it. They expect grandeur and fame for their noble deeds. But what if that's not the case? What if the quest asks for sacrifice and hardships? What if it breaks every rule in Camp Half-Blood?
It's been a longstanding rule that there can only be three people in a quest group. But when several of the gods, most notably Ares, Aphrodite, Hades, Athena, Eros, and Dionysus, strike out against the rest, demanding more sacrifices in their name, more glory for themselves, it was decided by Chiron that as many Demigods as possible should be appointed to solve the problem, seeking out each god individually and trying to appeal reason to them.
And so, for the first time in decades, perhaps even centuries, a large group of demigods sets out to not only complete a major quest, but possibly save the fate of Olympus, and all the gods that reside in it.
Rules:
1. Maximum of three characters per person.
2. Only characters that the quest leader knows will be invited, for obvious reasons.
3. No overpowered characters.
4. Unless you PM me and ask permission, giving a good reason, no children of the rebellious gods.
5. EVERY CHARACTER CANNOT HAVE A TRAGIC BACKSTORY!
6. EVERY CHARACTER CANNOT BE INSANE.
7. EVERY CHARACTER CANNOT BE THE CHILD OF ONE OF THE BIG THREE. As of this moment, I'm CONSIDERING allowing one from each, aside from Hades, unless you give a great reason.
8. I may allow Roman demigods. If this is something I decide to do, the same gods, just in their Roman forms, will be rebelling for Camp Jupiter, and the two groups will meet up. I'd need a decent amount of people willing to make Roman demigods, though.
9. Romance is allowed, but everyone should be at least 16 for any fade to black scenes.
10. Try to keep an average age range of 14-19, most of which around 15-16.
11. Post at least once a day, preferably more, with at least one GOOD SIZED paragraph. I shouldn't have to define a good sized paragraph. You can make one paragraph in any situation. I promise.
12. No godmodding whatsoever. For fights, discuss the victor beforehand, and be realistic. Give your partner a chance to dodge blows, don't write them being hit. If your partner does this for you, don't dodge every blow. (Example: 'He swung his sword at her chest.' I didn't say he hit her. Just that he swung.)
Weapons and Powers:
These characters are the children of gods, I get that they're powerful. But please don't give seven major powers and three great weapons. Most demigods didn't get a weapon from their parent. Most demigods have never met their godly parent. So don't be that person that makes their character just incredibly powerful and loved by their parent.
Dumb Things People Have Done in My PJO Roleplays in the Past:
This is just to give an idea of what NOT to do.
1. Claimed that her godly mother raised her from birth to age ten.
2. Claimed that their character was more powerful than everyone else's, so they should be leader of the quest.
3. Tried to change the quest without my permission or without even telling me.
4. Killed other people's characters for no reason.
5. Decided that, with no warning, their character was the main villain of the plot and basically tried to take over, without my permission.
6. Some people are dumb.
