Facing complete and utter need to do something at the base of the front gates, Donar was practicing his sword techniques as others watched.

He had not seemed to find himself useful of late, only using artes and calling for retreats. But, he decided to make sure he was not wearing his sword as a mere decoration.

His foot work with every swing and movement almost looked as if he was levitating. Each swing however seemed to have a sort of ripple effect in the air. His style would be akin to a Noble's style, albeit different.

His one handed style with his sword seemed to not allow much openings on him.

After a little longer he abruptly stopped standing straight while sheathing his sword. He heard some clapping, but he quite frankly didn't like how sluggish he was. of course, the fighting style of Sirius while elegant, has more brutal methods. Methods he wont preform here. Just basic warm ups.

While it's effective, the Sirius sword style is better suited for blade to blade combat... As a bodyguard, he had to learn to fight multiple people at once, to protect the household. Donar remembered when he started all those years ago, the trainers always set two or more people after him, at least until he beat them all by tricks and deceit, traits that his fighting style rely's on.

"Thats a weird way to fight." one mercenary commented. "It is also smart and effective, but alas, against the likes of Vice Commander Bellium, I would have to use more vulgar methods."

"Would you ever dream of fighting her?" another asked.

"I could hold my own, but No. She is too chaotic for me. besides, a fight with her you need to settle it quick, the longer the fight, the worse it gets. And eventually you'll be having nightmares about a bloodthirsty uncouth Berserker chasing you."

Belluam was heavily intoxicated and was impairing her ability to walk and her sense of direction. Belluam was trying to get back to her quarters but the more she walked the more lost she had gotten. She noticed the guards and other people whom may be walking about would avoid her or give her dirty looks. at least so she thought. It was incredibly difficult to understand what people were saying so she just pushed them away and continued walking; every now and then tripping over herself and falling over. But she would pick he self up and continue. "There she goes again... Oh that's our vice commander... How could the they allow a drunk be a commander?... She is a horrible leader..." Belluam couldn't help but hear everything being said. Her breathed deepened and her face was turning shades of red. The constant barrage of insults were becoming harder to bear. "Stop it" Bell began bellow. "Stop it! I said Stop!" again her shouts turned to screeches while she covered her ears. "She is to chaotic...A nightmare. A Bloodthirsty uncouth Berserker." Was the last thing She heard before it was all silenced. She had recognized the voice that said those things about her. Donar her had to be here. Now of course everything Belluam had overhead was taken completely out of context, but Belluam was out of sort and could not distinguish friend from foe. Belluam stood and looked around seeing she was at the front gate. "Lieutenant Donar! Git yer' ass front and at attention!" Belluam yelled at the top of her lungs. She was furious with a blinding rage. Her were hands were balled into fists and she was scowling so hard that tears began to form in the corners of her eyes. She would put him straight and teach him...

"Why thank you for being so kind as to escort me personally dear Commander." Flamma stood with he commander and followed him down the corridor and  wherever he might be leading her. But she kept her hand on her dagger and gripped her staff quite tightly as a precaution. For all she knew mercenaries were all but thugs and trash. In fact why in the world would anyone related to the Sansuis be here? Last Flamma had heard Belluam ran off with some rouge and should have had children by now. Flamma would at the very least think that her sister would be above this trivial trash. But then again She didn't know her own sister, and that's why she came here after all.

"Now my dear Ant. Oh and may I call you Ant? What can you tell me about this Vice-Commander Belluam? Is she an uncouth plebe such as most of these... people? Or is she as I? A beauty and elegant to behold? Talented even, in the magical arts perhaps?" Flamma smiled slyly hoping to get as mush info as possible

By now the air was filled with the stench of blood, sweat, beer and vomit. The knight's path was straight and without bend, his massive stature making it easy to shove any obstacle aside no matter if it was furniture or drunken brawler. Whoever tried to return the favor found that the impact of bare knuckles or wooden chairs resulted in nothing more than a helmeted glance before Pryonn cast the obstructions out of his way. Though the knight remained focused on Kaatl's location, his peripheral perception took note of Archus who forced his own path alongside him. Having a fighting ally was still something Pryonn was unused to, but it felt welcome for sure.

Finally the young knight came to a halt before the sphere of water within which his friend resided. Kaatl was still quivering in pain, hugging her knees with bleedings hands, it took several seconds of mental coaxing through her avalanche of telepathic pleas for aid before she hesitantly opened her eyes to squint through the watery globe surrounding her. Recognising her friend, the fairy stretched out a hand, to which Pryonn responded by kneeling down onto the fluid-stained floor, his own plated digits moving to clasp hers. But while the water-sphere elegantly contorted for Kaatl's movements, it remained unyielding towards any of the knight's attempts to infiltrate it. Kaatl had no trouble breathing, and she communicated that she hadn't received any additional blows in a while. Perhaps this was a benign piece of magic?

Hearing Archus's words, Pryonn took the most straightforward approach and simply took hold of the entire sphere, carefully balancing his friend to rest in the crook of his arm as he rose from the ground to turn to the Paladin "This is Kaatl, my friend!" he stated the obvious, his joy at having secured her tinged with regret at not having spared her from this situation to begin with. Kaatl in turn looked up at Archus, forcing a welcoming smile onto her face as she gave a weak wave of her hand, embarassed how her form was certain to look rather miserable, bloody and covered in bruises as she was.

"Kaatl is thankful." Pryonn stated clearly as he looked at Archus "Let's go.

Timore Williams

Location: Norhad Swords Headquarters, Resident Tavern

Timore watched the bar fight unfold with mounting trepidation. It had all begun so quickly, he had had little time to act. It was all he could do to avoid becoming involved in the chaos, a difficult task indeed. It didn't help that his book was swiped by one of the drunk mercenaries in the process, and at least one ended up crashing into the table at which he sat. As the wooden piece of furniture tipped over, Timore quickly stood and backed away. After a few moments hesitation, eyes darting around, surveying there scene, he decided to make his escape from the fight. It wasn't worth getting involved in that ruckus simply so he could pursue his stolen book. He'd just find the thief later. With his mind made up, the boy made his way towards the exit slowly and carefully.

Fortunately, Timore's ability to escape the notice of most made it easier for him to try to work his way out of the tavern without getting pulled into the fight. However, as he neared the exit, he noticed out of the corner of his eye the tall armored man who had faced off against Kairi earlier clutching a bubble, inside which was a small winged girl. Timore had never seen any creature like that before, though it seemed reminiscent of some creature he had once read about. He couldn't remember the term for it in the present chaos, but it didn't really matter right now. Her hands were bleeding, and she appeared to be in no small amount of pain.

As he realized this, Timore froze, conflicted. It would be best if he left now, but he thought his healing abilities might be able to help the little creature. He considered for a few moments, then decided he might try to help the small girl. Approaching the armored man holding her, Timore, in a voice almost too quiet to hear over the ruckus of the fight, addressed the two, "H-Hello? D-does she need any healing? I mean, I can heal her if you want, and she looks hurt, and..." He trailed off, uncertain and nervous. The armored man dwarfed him; he began to wonder if this was such a good idea after all.

When he heard a voice seem to fill the air, Donar slowly turned his head to see what looked like, and very drunk, but pissed of Vice Commander Bellium.

Well... this is not good... he thought to himself. The other guards however were scared out of their wits as they jumped.

Did she over hear him? No, she wouldnt be that pissed, she would normally retort with a very blunt yet true response towards him which makes him shut up most of the time.

Making his way slowly, not agonizing slow, but slow enough to show no hostility at all.

He was about 2 meters form her, stood at attention, and saluted while bowing half way. "Vice Commander Bellium. What brings you to here?" He didnt know exactly what she heard, but hopefully, it wasn't some sort of reckoning of some ridiculous fight about to ensue. "You do not look too well, how may i help?"

As the Commander escorted his guest around the Fortress grounds towards the gate where he previously located Belluam. She referred to him as 'Ant' as the Vice Commander would do when they were in a private setting, however it seemed a bit off when he heard it come out of a person he had only met. It also seemed strange that she would choose that particular shorthand for his name. Either she was acting overly familiar and it was something she did regularly with any individual regardless of their status, or she was blatantly mocking him. Whichever was the case he was not so disturbed as to make a fuss about it. " Ant, is fine by me." he responded to her inquiry. She was after all not part of the organization he created, nor was he someone of such merit as to be called a ' Commander ' . Many simply would refer to him as such because of reputation, his power or of respect for authority figures.

" You are going to meet her soon. Why ask about her beforehand? " he now inquired. " Are you interested in the Vice Commander, Miss Dolor Sansuis? " Her questions seem to imply some knowledge about the Vice Commander, and was phrased to ascertain the validity of that knowledge. He pondered for a moment longer, as he felt compelled to answer further. " The Vice Commander is an incredible woman. A tenacious combatant  and a multitude of endearing qualities off the field of battle. For someone who has had such a unfortunate past, it is a wonder how she endures. She is simply, one of the finest persons I have ever had the privilege to work alongside."

Archus firstly glanced around them to ensure no further attack. He then allowed himself the leisure to glance at the tiny winged girl with curiosity and surprise, trying not to seem to rude. He broke the stare and looked up to the -thankfully- helmeted knight. "It would be my pleasure to lead us away from this filth." With that he began wading through the bodies and remaining drunks (of which there were few), careful not to crush any skulls with the weight of his metal boots. It took but seconds to clear the bar area and emerge out the entrance, victorious. Archus coughed and desperately inhaled the fresh night air. "Keepers preserve me, I'm never going into a bar again. There must be other ways to socialize." He bent over with his hands on his knees, thoroughly exhausted from having to force his way around inside his armor. At times it felt more like a prison than protection.

Rising to his full height and scanning the area, he noted the commander passing by at a distance with company. He would talk to the commander about this later, for now he appeared to be busy with a flamboyant looking woman. The Paladin turned to his fellow armored giant and was curious to inquire as to the situation he walked into at the bar. "I ask you, what on Elegos was that woman doing with her weapon at your throat when I came into the bar? Surely you did nothing worth such a reaction?" He at least hoped Pryonn wasn't actually the aggressor in the situation, or his rash defense of him might have been severely misplaced.

"I ask you, what on Elegos was that woman doing with her weapon at your throat when I came into the bar? Surely you did nothing worth such a reaction?"

The sphere containing the fairy dissipated, leaving her to rest against the plates of Pryonn's arm. As Archus paved the way, the young knight solemnly followed him, both hands protectively cradling Kaatl, though thankfully the remaining drunkards had little interest in bothering the iron-clad behemoths. "I needed something to eat, that's why we came here..." he spoke in monotone, unspirited words almost drowned out with the enduring brawl around him "As for the female... I bumped into the missus while we were leaving, so she punished me..." his voice held no trace of confusion, no questioning the reason or rhyme, his conclusion appeared simply natural to him. Kaatl frowned at his words, obviousely disagreeing with his mind-set.

"H-Hello? D-does she need any healing? I mean, I can heal her if you want, and she looks hurt, and..." He trailed off, uncertain and nervous. The armored man dwarfed him; he began to wonder if this was such a good idea after all.

A man with a smaller frame approached them, gait appearing slightly timid, but certainly not drunk, which already marked him as different from the brawlers farther back. Halting before the man, Pryonn looked down at him for a long moment, before he suddenly cheered with a refreshed voice "Oh, a fellow perpetrator of goodness, no doubt! Certainly you can help, if Kaatl agrees..." The fairy in question raised a questioning eyebrow towards Timore, pondering for several seconds before she finally relented with a nod. Pryonn extended the hand upon which the fairy was seated. To the casual onlooker it would have appeared as strange, as no discernible act of communication took place between fairy and knight, the former's subtle gestures impossible to be seen from the angle of the latter's vision, which remained fully trained on Timore "I'm Pryonn, knight of goodness, by the way!"

Be that as it might, Kaatl was now seated directly before Timore. After a moment's hesitation, she extended both her hands, gave a pained frown and opened them to expose the deep cuts left behind upon her fingers. Despite her superficially estranged nature, the plea for help was written across her face.

As Turian stood there figuring out how to break up the bar-fight, Kairi bumped into him and nearly struck him as well, "Eh? What are you doing in a place like this Blondy? You don't look the bar going type.", was what she said. Well Turian's voice sounded both angered and annoyed as he responded, "Breaking up this bar-fight before anyone dies", Although knowing Belluam, chances are that some would be in critical condition, she never did keep her strength in check. The fairy seemed to be cared for by Pryonn and Archus, and taken out of harms way. That is one less soul to take care of, now to deal with the rest. Luckily Belluam just left the bar, although she didn't look so well. At least she won't make it harder for me as it is to clean up the mess.

Two globes of water grew into existence around Turian, as he walked into the area where the barfight was still going on. He moved on towards the middle of the group, some tried to strike at him while he was walking towards the middle. Their strikes got blocked by the water. There were about 8 people still brawling at that time. "OUTSIDE all of ya", Turian said as he reached the center. His arrival had already started to register at some of them, even now it didn't take them long to get outside. Turian walked after them and had them line up. "You should know better then to go into a bar-fight with Belluam about, now off with ya before I give you extra duties.", Turian dismissed the group. He currently was not in the mood to assign them tasks. He still had that unopened letter from the temple lying in his room.....

Of coarse it made more sense that he was there to stop the bar fight. Kairi believed that it would be the only reason a man like him would come to a place like this. She didn't give a remark to his comment. She just watched him walk out into the middle of the brawl with his orbs of water around him, using it to shield him from the blows aimed at him. Kairi took this opportunity to lean against the bar counter, waving her hand to tell the old bartender to send her a drink, meanwhile her eyes still on the scene before her.

'OUTSIDE all of ya'

Turian shouted, and just like little pups the recent bar brawlers went out the bar to line up as they were told. Kairi muttered 'little pansies' under her breath about the men who were so obedient. Her back turned from the door towards the bartender who placed a mug of ale in front of the injured mercenary.

"Thanks.." she said before taking a long drink. Her black eyes fixated on the honey colored brew as she let her thoughts wander off, by now it was only her and those who remained uncouncious that were in the bar. At quiet moments like this is when she started to have thoughts about the past, about her life, this scene in particular brought back memories of Hope..

Flashback

The sun had already set and the night air had been disrupted by the rowdy sounds of bar patterns fighting filled the air, and just as expected, Kairi was in the middle of it. The young woman was no older 19 at the time, and just like all the others, she was drunk. An older knight clad in armor and a young lady about the age of 20 stepped in, she was clad in light weight armor, a spear resting in her hand as her light blue eyes scanned the premises to fall on the drunken Kairi, slamming some poor saps face into the bar.

"KAIRI KUDO! What have I told you about starting bar fights!" The female said with a disappointing look. Kairi almost immediately let go of the man she had been harming.

"C'monnn Hopppee, you can't pwove that I was thee one to shtart dis fight." The females retorted with slurred words as she stumbled over towards Hope. Hope rolled her eyes and grabbed Kairi by the ear dragging her out of the bar while a commanding officer that came with girl stopped the fight. Kairi followed behind saying 'Owe' repeatedly until Hope released her ear, she had drug Kairi off to their tent, with one hand placed other hip and the other one pointing at an empty cott.

"Bed. Now." Hope stated in a demanding tone. Kairi whined a bit as she plopped down face first into the cott

"But I'm nooott tir.." Kairi had past out halfway through her protest, now sound asleep. Hope pulled a blanket over the girl and let out a small chuckle whispering.

"You're hopeless, I swear.."

Timore Williams

Location: Norhad Swords Headquarters, Resident Tavern

While nervously waiting for a response from the huge knight, Timore decided to follow him outside, as he assumed the man would want him to. It provided him with an excellent opportunity to finally escape the tavern, as he was following not one but two heavily armored men who others wouldn't be as keen to antagonize. Equally as helpful, they easily forged a path through the crowd. It wasn't long before Timore finally found himself outdoors in the afternoon air again. Sighing with relief, he turned to the two men he had followed out of the tavern, listening to their conversation as he waiting patiently for the huge knight's response to his suggestion. Timore had almost forgotten that the knight he had offered his assistance to was the one he had seen Kairi attack earlier. When he considered it, he realized that she had probably done so because the man looked like a knight; he seemed to recall that she had displayed an aversion to such people previously. He didn't really feel like mentioning it to the two, though, so he listened silently.

After a short time, the huge knight turned to Timore, small winged girl perched on his hand. Timore wasn't sure he would consider himself a "perpetrator of goodness" as the man called him, but he would certainly rather be called that than some other names. Besides, the man's cheerful reaction was relieving, to say the least; Timore bore the scrutiny of the two slightly less nervously than he might have if not for the knight's positive reaction. When the small girl finally nodded and the knight extended his hand, Timore did find it somewhat odd that he had done so with no visible or audible communication, but he decided not to dwell on it. Instead he focused his gaze on the small girl who sat upon the knight's - no, Pyronn's - hand. Pain was etched into her countenance, and her hands looked to be in bad shape. In response to Pyronn's introduction, the boy told them quietly, "I'm Timore. It's nice to meet you," then held his hand close to the girl's, a warm glow emanating from it as he began to heal her cuts.

Archus raised his brow at the iron giant, "That's it...? You bumped into her and she draws her sword?!" Archus was in absolute disbelief. Had the Swords taken a turn for the worse while he was gone? Just what kind of people was Antarah employing now..? These thoughts were fresh in his mind now, creeping doubts about working for the Swords in the future sank in. He was definitely going to have to bring this up with Antarah as soon as possible. "That is unacceptable behavior Pryonn, bumping into someone is no cause to draw the sword, even less cause to threaten someone's life. Something must be done about this, though I'm not entirely sure what. Antarah's guidance may be needed here. I am not versed in the managing of mercenaries. All I know is, what I walked into was wrong, and the Keepers punish wrongdoers through our actions." Retribution and righteousness were core teachings of faith in the Keepers, Archus exercised that practice with every fiber of his being. The Paladin was really brooding now, this situation was unbelievable. When he was last with the Swords, they were a beacon of hope in murky times. Almost everyone he worked with was noble, strong, and kind. Had things changed so much in so few years? His incredulity caused him to totally ignore the frail boy and the fairy; he instead thought up what he was going to say to Antarah about this whole mess.

The memories that lingered in her mind brought a mixture of emotions to the girl, though mainly it was anger and sadness. Her grip tightening on the mug until she accidently shattered it in her hands. The sudden sting of pain from alcohol seeping into new wounds in her hand brought her back to reality for a moment. She looked down at the shattered regiments of glass in her hand and other bar. She sighed softly and placed a few coins down on the bar before getting up and leaving. She didn't bother tending to her hand that was now dripping blood as she walked passed Titian. She continued to move forward towards the lake that her and Cecil once spoke in front of. Her thoughts consumed in memories, she even passed the two armored men and the young healer without giving so much as a glance to acknowledge if she knew they were there or not.

Young Hope

11084630_464690617020946_164107651_n.jpg

"Kairi! Kairi!" Yelled a little girl with long brown hair and light blue eyes. An expression of panic was painted amongst the girls features as she ran over to the young Kairi who had been leaning against the tree. Kairi tilted her head looking at the panicked girl.

"Eh? What's the matter Hope?" Kairi asked in a confused tone of voice. Hope came to a screeching halt once she made it to the tree. Her heart beating so fast it felt lonely would beat out of her chest.

"Ms. Tysukiyomi found out about us sneaking out to go swim in the river! She's going to beat us again!" Hope said now starting to have an anxiety attack at the thought. Kairi stood up and placed her hands on Hopes Shoulder.

"Hey calm down! Look, I'll just tell them that I forced you to come along. They'd believe that." Hope shook her head no. She knew if Kairi got in trouble again the punishment would be worse, especially if it was found out to be a lie. Before Hope could utter a word she could hear the yell of an elderly woman right behind her.

"There you two brats are! So you think you can break the rules and hide away huh? Well think again." The woman grabbed Hope by her hair and lifted the little girl up by it. Kairi narrowed her eyes and threw a rock at the Elderly woman's head.

"Let her go old hag! I'm the one who forced her to go!" Kairi yelled though it seemed her little rebellion only pissed off MS. Tysukiyomi. The old woman pushed hope to the side and slapped Kairi across the face, causing the little girl to fall. She then proceeded to get her by the hair and drag her off to the shed beside the orphanage

"I don't know where you got that rebellion in you but I'll be sure to show you what power you have here little brat " she said while chaining Kairi down with her back facing the elderly woman. The woman grabbed a whip as begun hitting Kairi Numerous times. With each hit caused a deep scar that bled. Kairi bit her tongue. She knew if she screamed or if she cried that it would only be worse. This torture continued until Kairi finally passed out from the pain. Ms. Tysukiyomi left Kairi chained to the floor, uncouncious and bleeding out.

Once the sun had set and Kairi begun to wake up, she heard the shed door open.her head jolting back to see hope carrying a bucket of hot water and a rag. She looked at the wounds on her friends bare back and looked as if she was about to cry.

"What's wrong Hope?" Kairi asked in a soft tone. "Th..this is all my fault..if I hadn't said anything about the river you wouldn't have gotten hurt" hope said with a sniffle. Kairi just gave a small smile. "Don't cry. I took the blame because I didn't want you to get hurt. Knowing the old hag she would have killed you, and I can't bare the thought of losing you. You're the only thing I have after all.."

Present day

Kairi sat on the edge of the water bank. Her hand gently placed on her back as her finger traced over old scars she got from the whip. The thought of what Kairi said to Hope caused the girls eyes to close tightly together. Her nails scrapping her back as her hand clenched into a fist.

Infirmary, Milestone Fort
Feusen 11th, 997 CYAD - 2 PM

Still in a somewhat groggy state, sounds began to ring once more through Grifyn's ears. He began to feel again after being unconscious for so long. The wind blowing past his skin, the scent of the dead air in the infirmary. However, one thing stood out from all.

Something cold began to pour down his face, starting from his lips down to the insides of his partly-opened mouth. A horrible  taste began to emerge and linger.

This caused Grifyn to cough and rise from his lying position in a rather brisk manner that he accidentally knocked the bowl of stew away from Cecil's hands and sent it crashing towards the floor.

He opened his eyes. He tried to cleanse his mouth from the disgusting taste rapidly pushing his tongue out as if he was spitting. "Ugh.", he moaned. "Disgusting."

As Timore weaved his art upon Kaatl's open wounds, the deep cuts gradually closed, ligaments and sinews growing together anew as a warm glow spread across the rivulets of blood. Gradually the fairy's pained expression turned to one of relief and, foremost, thankfulness. Her unfunctional wings slowly gave several flaps as she lightly leaned back, letting the tension of the prior events flow away.

A strange even took place. The fairy opened her mouth as if to speak, but instead from above the knight's voice droned "We are thankful, healer of goodness.", Kaatl's lips nonetheless wordlessly moved as if she herself was doing the talking.

"That is unacceptable behavior Pryonn, bumping into someone is no cause to draw the sword, even less cause to threaten someone's life. Something must be done about this, though I'm not entirely sure what. Antarah's guidance may be needed here. I am not versed in the managing of mercenaries. All I know is, what I walked into was wrong, and the Keepers punish wrongdoers through our actions."

"Why was it wrong?" Pryonn asked, honest and hesitant confusion in his voice "One born as sinner must be punished." The knight's tone grew weary before he added "Though the fact that female hurt Kaatl remains unforgivable."

As if on point, said woman was just passing by them, without even sparing them so much as a glance as she simply went on her merry way. Pryonn for his part reacted by slightly nudging to the side, maneuvering himself to shield the fairy from Kairi should she decide to attack as he watched her from the edge of his visor.

After the proverbial danger passed, Pryonn turned his attention back upon Archus, helmeted head slightly tilting from side to side in uncertainty. After several more moments of silence, he finally spoke "You... saw me without helmet, earlier. You saw my... flesh." The knight averted his gaze, looking at the ground as he nervousely shifted while his voice intoned with hesitation "How... bad is it?"

Kaatl's ears perked up as he spoke, staring wide-eyed and alarmed at Archus. Her expression implored the paladin to choose his words carefully.

.......oh my gosh he is up~!...... maybe there was some magic to cecils act after all.... or maybe the stew or soup was just bad....maybe its been sitting out there for days and cecil just didnt notice?? ......

Leira was so happy to see that grifyn was up and awake sitting up straight still dressed as a mummy all in wrapped bandages. " Ok ok you can stop your summoning chant cecil, he's up he's up~! " but he got up so fast that he totally knocked away the bowl and spilled it all over the floor. leiras immediate reaction was to grab a towel and start wipping up the floor, like if some old papaopamus dropped a fresh pile on the floor of the ranch. when she finished she placed the bowl back on the counter. " well sleepy head, i would say you look worst then you feel am i right?" she smiled. she elbowed cecil. " did you really use some sort of magic cecil?" she laughed a little. she would be missing these times a little when she left. then she realized the whole point of coming out here in the first place. but now that she saw grifyn to be fine and that cecil would care for Ella she could go without worrying too much about those guys. " I'm real glad your awake, actually just glad your alive. Real glad. I ... uh wanted to let you guys know, that i will be leaving today. "

Archus was nearly speechless at Pryonn's reply, but the Keepers always supplied the pious with what they needed. A smile formed on Archus's face at random, it at first appeared to be hysterical, but it ended up being genuine. "We are all born as sinners, friend. This life is punishment from the Keepers, we are all the punished, but through faith in them we find a higher purpose, a heavenly destiny. All of it is unforgivable, I'm afraid, though perhaps especially harming your innocent ally." As Kairi dejectedly walked past them, Archus glared at her with judgement in his eyes. His armored gauntlet remained seated on the hilt on his blade, ready to draw if she made a move. Something was keeping her distant, though, far away from any of them. Archus decided not to read into her state any further, her crimes still went without justice. "Worry not about it, Pryonn, I'll have a talk with the commander and get it sorted out. You can come with me, and Kaatl too, if you'd like."

The question about Pryonn's face really threw Archus off-guard. He was honor-bound to tell the truth, but the look in the fairy's eyes begged him to do otherwise. He had never seen so hideous a human being, not externally at least. Truthfully, there were many people with hideous souls that were much worse than the disgusting flesh of Pryonn. Archus took a breath to collect himself and looked up at Pryonn's helmeted face. "Pryonn, I know not what caused your face to become so disfigured, but I have never seen anything like it before. Fortunately, your curse does not afflict the soul, which is the only important part of us in the end..." Archus stared up at Pryonn with conviction in his eyes, "Believe me, Pryonn, it is much better to have cursed flesh than to have a cursed soul, and I believe your soul to be pure."

He glanced at Kaatl for only a moment to judge her reaction, it was the best thing he could think to say while still being honest.

Cecil Sanger

Fort Milestone, Infirmary

Fuesen 11th, 997 C.Y.A.D. / 2pm

The brew Cecil labored over for some ten minutes prior soured away to clash to the infirmary floor. And as the swift Liera (who would have made for a much more hospitable carer) went to tend to the mess, he let his hands fall with his voice. "Ah. The incantation was a success. Worry not, Grifyn, Slayer of a thousand Morgogs, for you have returned from Hadiyah's domain. Unlike countless heroes before you, you have not been taken by your sacrifice. Praise be to modern medicine." He gently bowed in both prayer and admiration to the healers of Milestone.

Leira returned with the durable ceramic in little time. She questioned the legitimacy of his use of the forbidden artes, of which Cecil did not defend. Her reason for visitation was revealed. He was not, and did not appear broken up about it. He offered the same even tone he always wielded. "Ah. Yes. You mentioned that your 'pa' was ill? I will pray doubly for his well-being, and your safe travel. We will see to Noella's safety. I know how oft she is to get into... estrange situations from our prolonged scouting. I may invest in a compass so we both don't find ourselves so lost again." He chuckled faintly, mindful to keep up the charade of having become lost instead of their happening upon Samsara. "Do be careful, Leira."

TIMESKIP in EFFECT

Following the days after the incident near Oxfam Ridge, Lieutenant Miliarium had been ordered to return to Kingdom Affairs Office along with the Commander of Milestone Fort, Antarah Genzah to brief the Office and the Kings Court of Nobles about the situation. He had asked Lieutenant Donar ( @Jack Rakan )   to accompany them and left Vice Commander Belluam ( @MsPolite ) and Turian ( @Helral ) in charge of the Fort while he was away. Not much was revealed to Sarah as to what else the meeting would entail but little did they know that it would be a Joint meeting with officials from Maxwell, liaisons from Adanaque and even an ambassador of Selkirk. There was a short exchange of formalities between the parties before being briefed with all reports and intelligence notes regarding this aggressive attack force that swept the small towns of the Kensington Coastline. The assailants were dubbed ' Morgogs ', finally putting a name to the ugliness of those faces. The reports revealed possible links to these inhuman creatures, such as kidnapped A.S.A.R.M. professors, spirit enhancement manipulation, alchemic super-weapon and so-called 'demonic' experiments.

They were notified by the officials of the Kingdom Affairs office that a contingent of 200 Uniformed militia would be indefinitely stationed at Fort Milestone to cycle men from other outposts of the Kensington Coast like at Oxfam. The Commander was told to give any mercenary the opportunity to join the militia if they so chose to and that the castle was officially upgraded to Fortress status. Among promises of supplies and more general helpers, Welwyn's newest and most advance Airship, the Battleship, Great Fox, would permanently be stationed at the Fortress under the command of lieutenant Miliarium who would also be indefinitely placed there.  After the general meeting, a few individuals gathered together with the Commander and they went into a private room to discuss other matters it would seem. Antarah had dismissed the lieutenants for the rest of the day and told them they would leave at dawn the following day.

Upon arriving on the 15th of Feusen in the late afternoon he asked his officers to brief the other commanders and field captains regarding the situation. He would call for a general assembly the following day in the main hall to tell everyone. For now he chose to retire to his office and work on a few things until the evening. In the early morning of the 16th, well before the rising of the sun, Antarah lay in bed restless, sleeping very little during the night as the information he learned kept his mind racing with endless scenarios and possibilities. After the fight at the bar, Kairi disappeared for four days. No one knew where she went, nor did anyone really care. It wasn't till the night of Feusen 15 that she appeared in the tavern. Of coarse she got drunk, stumbled out of the bar and into the woods only to get into a fight with a bear, which left numerous deep scars. Some on her front and some on her back. She woke up early the next morning, before the sun had risen, in pain. She looked down at the poor stitch work that her drunk self had tried to accomplish. She got up and slightly walked to Lieutenant Donars room. She knocked on his door before walking into his room. He would notice the poorly Stitch scars and the scars that hadn't been stitched at all. Her eyes averted from him as she closed the door behind her.

"I hate to ask this...but would you..please.. stitch up the wounds on my back..?" She asked in a soft tone, as if she was embarrassed for anyone else to hear her. The shade of pink on her cheeks hinted to her embarrassment of the situation entirely. She did not wish to see him again, but she couldn't have anyone else stitch her back up, she couldn't let anyone else see the branding mark on her back. Since he was the only one who had seen it, he seemed to be her only option.

" at last I have found you , hiding away among this filth in this distant land of the north....."

high in the clouds was a dark shadow that blocked the light of the moon ephinia for but a second. she was cloaked with a dark colored robe and hooded but some locks of hair moved freely in the summer night wind showing it to be a silver color. the person floated above the walled fort of milestone looking down upon it like a bird would look down on the bugs it would be eating very soon. because it was late night time not many people would be walking around or doing any work of any kind besides the guards in their towers. in a dive she quickly got near the top of the water of the lake near this fort. Waiting for clouds to block the moons she floated towards the main building to a tower that was to lead her to her main purpose, antarah genzah, the leader of this place.

" here you are at last...." quickly she rose to the level of the highest tower and looked into the opened window her shadow blocking the light that went inside. like a shadow she was already in the room with the light showing her dark robe, and though her head still covered you could see a smile on her face. An evil smile. " its been 14 years.... you've gotten quite mature in that face of yours. " she slowly took off the hood and her red eyes gliterred with the rays of the moon. " How have you been.... antarah? "

While in bed he had his forearm partially covering his face and sighing heavily trying to relax and go back to sleep. A strange dream awoke him from his slumber. It was one about his former Teacher, someone who instructed him in all manners regarding the Way. It had been years since he last saw his Teacher, from a time before his excommunication from the Order. He reflected a bit and realized his Teacher was not someone who would be staying idle for very long, unlike Antarah who was anchored by his beliefs commanding this Fortress. The Commander did however inherit his Teacher's sense of compassion for helping people as he dedicated the Fortress to mercenary guild work that could answer to many requests and not just another military establishment. He wondered what he would say when or if they ever confronted each other, this person whom he revered, respected and cared deeply for. Would he still consider him a disciple? Or would he be just another person and treated as such. Disappointment from his master was the only reason that made him shameful about his decisions up to now.

In his meditation of the past, he did not expect a phantom of that past to show up right before him. He sensed a presence that had long been forgotten, but as the force approached him nightmares began to relive within his awakened mind. It was terrifying to say the least. Instinctively he grabbed his sword but before he could draw it out of its sheath the person was standing directly in front of him basked in the glow of the moons. A shadowy tall figure. The Commander did not even have both feet on the ground yet, but any subtle move would be too dangerous to consider. The female figure called out to him by name. " ... " he could not even begin to utter any response. " ...y-you-.... " the words struggled to come out. He kept his head low and his eyes lowered to the hands. Antarah was frantic, taking quick breaths and not meeting his eyes with his uninvited guest. " ...m-monster..... why? " anyone looking on at him would noticed his wide eyes and trembling hands, such was the fear this person invoked into him. Fear and Dread. He calmed himself which took great effort, but he soon became focused.  " Never did I think to see that face again. Andromeda.  ( @Andromeda Arc )  "

Belluam was getting dressed after taking a bath. She looked through her wardrobe and closet looking something more feminine, but realized that the only dress Belluam possessed was her wedding dress. Belluam let out a sigh and put on long tunic dark green tunic that ended mid thigh. Belluam then wrapped a scarlet cape around her waist as a makeshift skirt and wrapped a blue scarf around her waist to help bring her outfit together and hide the fact she was wearing a cape for a skirt. Belluam Looked in the mirror. Belluam put her hand on her hips. She looked at herself disappointed as she was  not especial curvaceous  and her waist was a bit to firm and strong. Her arms were manly then Belluam looked at her face. She looked angry. She always looked angry.

Belluam huffed at herself for being so self conscious. "Damit Antarah." She said under her breath. "You always do this to me." Belluam took a second to breath and put on her best "Commander face" then took her smoking pipe and a bottle of her strongest spirits. Belluam walked outside to smoke a bit and take a shot trying to calm herself before she went up the tower to see the Commander. As she did she recollected over the past five days or at least tried to. She had been drinking heavily after finding out Her parents died. Belluam had gotten the will from a scarlet mage that was with the commander. They had interrupted Belluam and Donar as they were about to fight but Belluam forgotten why they were fighting. The Scarlet mage though, had seemed so familiar but couldn't put her finger on it. Belluam's parents had said in their will that Belluam and Dolor'Flamma Sansuis would have joint custody over the property. Belluam had never heard of a family member named Dolor'Flamma. Could it be foreign relative? Belluam didn't know.

Belluam went over everything that happened during thoses five days as she smoked her pipe while leaning on the wall of the main building. Only the light of the moon and a lantern lit up the night. The skies were clear and nothing move. Everything was silent, now even the wind howled. But then a shadow caught Belluam's eye. Belluam looked around but found no one, yet the shadow moved and seemed to float above the ground. Then Belluam looked up and saw her. A Lunar lit woman seemingly glowing in the Moons radiant awe. the woman floated to Antarah's tower and moved disappearing from sight. Belluam didn't know who she was or how she did that but She sprinted to the tower feeling a sickly feeling in her gut.

" ahahahahaha how heartless of you, young man. or should i say old man. you have gotten older. if anything you with that face is the monster here. i doubt i changed since the last time you saw me. " her crimson stare not moving and concentrating on antarah alone. she could tell this fortress would be troublesome if people interferred with her. it was revenge. revenge for being able to survive that encounter. she looked towards the window at the moons not moving her eyes away. maybe she did it to show off to antarah that she did not age a single bit since 14 years ago. " haha dont be like now, this should be a more happy reunion. now we finish what happened long ago. " she saw the man had his sword by his side. " really now, you know i could raze this whole place to the ground. if you decide to fight you have no chance and youll drag all these innocent people with you. dont think youre special but tonight its just you." like a flash of light she disapeared from the window side and was beside antarah holding onto his hand that had the sword so he wouldnt draw it. " that's good. save those lives by sacrificing yours. " she whispered in his ear her eyes starting to glow even in that darkness a blood red. her free hand she place on his neck and used some magick to start draining the energy force from antarah.

Donar

Location: Milestone Fort, Norhad Swords Headquarters

Date: Feusen 16th 997 C.Y.A.D. 5am

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically, Bellium was drunk, and must have heard certain words in the wrong context as she was really pissed and was going to rip His head off, he had prepared to defend himself but the timely arrival of the Commander and another woman, who seemed to know the Vice Commander, appeared.

Donar sighed in relief. But the situation seemed tense so donar excused himself.

Very shortly after that, he was asked to accompany the Commander and fellow Lieutenant Miliarium to a briefing of recent events to the Kingdom Affairs Office  and the Kings Court of Nobles. Many high level people were present.

The Monstrosities were given the name Morgog. Aside the other reports that he was able to hear about, there was a closed meeting that was only for the Higher ups. The days were long, and Donar didnt know exactly what to do while they had the private meeting. With Lieutenant Miliarium's promotion to head the Fortress at Oxfam, he wondered what would become of the Coastline, mostly because of the threat of the Morgogs. They were many in number, and if the battle he saw proved anything, there were many more of them.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When they returned, Donar spent his time mostly in his room. Otherwise he trained. He didn't need to, but he decided to brush up like he decided a few days ago.

Today, he decided to wake up early. Waking up while the sky was not yet lit with the sun, he woke and got dressed. Afterwords he was preparing his armor for later use when he heard a knock on his door, for a moment he stopped as the person entered. At least, he was dressed enough so that he was decent, as he was about to go out anyway.

The person in question, Kairi Kudo @Kairikudo, looked like she just got out of a fight with a bear or two. He heard she left for a few days, but seeing her like this was something else. Normally, he would be just a little aghast that someone would come in his room without permission but for now, he understood and whatnot. But still... "Manners dictate that one needs to wait for the reply before entering..." He said not so serious while pulling out a stool for her to sit on. "Sit here for a moment." he sounded slightly tense as he walked by Kairi to lead her to the stool before he moved to find a medical container.

There were large rolls of bandages next to the items he needed. he looked at them briefly before grabbing the kit. To large... At least, his room was large enough that he could have his Office nearby the front door while he could have the latter back half of the room for his privacy.

He went back behind the curtain where the room was cut in half. he found the other item he was looking for and appeared back into the main area, his tenseness not present anymore.

His Office, and by extension the whole room, was way to neat and tidy. The only messy place being the area around his desk with various reports and letters he had. On his desk, an emblem for the House Sirius was present, it was just a decoration as it was next to the Nohrad swords Emblem.

he pulled out another stool and began the process to stitch Kairi up again. "So, mind if I ask why you are cut all over the place again?" he said just before he began to get to the cut areas to replace the bad stitch work and the other places. And pour more of that burning crap on the wounds again.
