Hey everyone, just wondering how you all feel about having another engagment scenario, this time with Artes as you all have approved level 1 artes. I intended to have this mission with 2 battles, 1 test with grunts, and the next a player controlled mini-boss. To be honest I was impressed with the speed of the last battle. In about a 24hr spread, the engagement scenario was accomplished, even without the use of Artes. That was also only the basic actions. If anyone has glanced the Training Grounds Thread, you can see there are various ways to improve on a characters combat skills to make battles, more colorful and meaningful.

After this plot scene mission is done, we'll move into the more meaningful and in-depth missions and journeys that have more reference to the overall War in the North. I just wanted to say how great the pacing has been and I am very thankful for everyones support! Let's keep going!
 
Note OOC: So for this engagement, we have only 1 enemy target this time. I think we proceed the same way as with the Globgruns where players can determine how the ENEMY engages them but to make it more intense, the ENEMY is able to attack twice in a turn but different targets. This allows it to already target someone else right after.

Does the enemy get their CCA reset for the double attack per turn? Like 3 CCA to hit current target, and another 3 CCA to hit the next? Or does it split the attacks into two - 1~2 CCA for the initial target and the rest for the next?

Sorry I wrote the wrong number sets for the Enemy.
CCA = 6
So no resetting of CCA for the Enemy in a post. With 6 you can carefully divide it between attacks.

I can see how it might be confusing to understand the conditions for this particular NPC controlled Enemy.
We can revert to using the system we used against the Globgruns for simplicity.
That way players can chose the severity of the engagement.

You can disregard my combat conditions if you feel it too complicated. Players can just do the back and forth between NPC and OC battles. It might be faster.
 
Hey everyone I got an IC post up.

Essentially, Seles was attacked with an Arte, but I didn't apply the damage yet to her. Someone can swoop in to take the hit or counter with another arte.
Otherwise I'll apply the hit in my next post.

I want to give someone else a chance at a post, so I'm going to roll dice and whoever wants to use Seles' dice for their post they can add hers as well.

I had a feeling those were your intentions. Tbh, I went with a def arte because too many people went with an attack arte and two of which were lightning artes too, lol.

I'm glad you did go with a DEF. It's nice to vary artes depending on what you want to focus on.

As GM with an OC in the story, I tried to make Seles a support role Class, that way the players are the ones determining the outcome of the battle.

Hey everyone.

I am wanting to have the Hard timeskip done either Sunday or Monday first thing. It should give us enough time to end the current engagement with a few concluding discoveries or remarks regarding this first mission. For this timeskip and every major event or Verse timeskip I want to implement a newspaper of sorts to expand the lore, give currents events. Something on the side that our OC's can talk about during mission down times.

I have several sections to news, so the first 3 people to make a recommendation will have those sections show up in the IC timeskip post. Otherwise I'll just pick and choose.
I am writing all the articles so that they are ready for the timeskip.

History: As a child, Ria belonged to the matriarchal noble family, the Tsurara. They inhabited the mountainous regions of Windsor Pass and Utena. Her family was one of the nation's cultured and renowned contributors in the field of farming, agriculture and hunting - these set of skills were also embedded in her scion to serve Lanark.

While the Tsurara by all means likened to women of strength and beauty, Ria falls short of their legacy. For the longest time, the Tsurara never romantically submitted to any superior families, including the royals to arranged marriage. They were invincible and dominated their suitors until Ria messed up, she was not born with their inhumane martial strength nor with snowy white hair, this was the factor that got Ria betrothed to one of the nobles and why she ran away with her younger sister. Unable to accept her loss, she continued living a life with bounty on her shoulders and that to whosoever may find her will be rewarded with marriage.

A couple of years past, she joined an adventure outside of her country with a party of Searchers only to experience a series of betrayal. She was pierced by a blade in her right torso during a brief skirmish with the criminal Hyoubu and branded a fugitive along with her "accomplice", Ukoku within months after a tournament.

Recently, Ria has been fending for herself and sought Mashmyre's school of archery. She lied about her lineage as a Lanarkian due to war concerns and became Mashmyre's protégé. Although things seemed to look up for Ria, it wasn't long that the bounty reached her comfort zone, fearing that she' be endangering those around her, she parted ways with Mashmyre. As a parting gift, he gave her his enchanted bow, Vijaya and sewing kit that weaves clothes instantly.

Occupation: Freelance Singer
Life Skills: Like her family, Ria is skilled in hunting/archery and well learned in agricultural matters. What sets her apart from them is her natural singing ability and affinity for intensive arte arts as well as making clothes and knifeplay.

Material Possessions

Clothing and Attire: By the grace of her hands, Ria never worries about what to wear. She was given Mashmyre's magical sewing kit which allows her to weave clothes with her spiritual energy.

Hey Everyone, I am preparing the Timeskip post at this time. Please hold any IC post until after the timeskip. For any who may want to prepare thoughts on the coming Chapter the Timeskip will include
- The successful defeat of the Antarnae by the combined effort of the group
- The mission's success has awarded the guild 2000 diamars by the local townsfolk
- The Unit returned to Milestone fortress and arrived in the middle of the night of Eclasen 22nd
- the following day is a rest day from mission, but anyone who wants to write any chores around the fortress is welcome.
- The group is in the Dining Hall and are awaiting their next mission.
