RavenWing13

Discord info: RavenWings#9603. Hit me up!
The princess was absolutely beautiful. His heart nearly beat whenever she passed, but now, she was his charge. He was in charge of protecting her from this point on. Will the guard be able to protect her and keep his feelings in check? Can the princess hide her feelings?

This is the story of two childhood friends, who were split apart as he went to training to be a royal guard. Now that he has returned, will she be able to tell who he in, or will this be a new beginning?

Shall we get started?

@xEmoBunnehx

Sol has been gone for about 13 years, forced to leave at the age of seven so he could train to become a Royal guard. The training was difficult and took a toll on Sol's mind as well as scarring his body. The training was vicious, and some of the cadets actually died. Now he was back, and what of the princess. His old friend.

Sol stood in front of the Royal family with the rest of the returning cadets. The general already gave the king all of the information on the surviving cadets, and had already decided placements, and charges.

The General was calling out names, ranks and duties. When it was finally his turn, the General looked please.

General: Sol Dreama. You graduated at the highest of the cadets. You forged your own weapon, and took every course head on, without hesitation. So, it is would great honor, and great pleasure to let you know that the King has decided that you take charge of the eldest princess.

Sol's eyes widened. He'd see her again? So soon. What will she think of the man he has become.

General: Sol, I must warn you. The princess may not know who you are anymore. It has been 13 years. Your duty, before your friendship. Remember that.

And with that the General left, leaving Sol to compose himself and fix the hurt he was just given. Pain is a part of the job, get over it. He nodded to himself, and went to find his charge, abandoning emotion as he left the throne room behind.

Luna had been in her room, still asleep. For being the eldest princess in her family, and the one who was most responsible most of the time, it was unusual for her to be asleep still. The minute she woke up and glanced at the nearest clock, she freaked out and jumped out of the bed, though her foot got caught in the sheet and she feel to the unforgiving stone floor.

Luna disregarded any pain she might of been in, not taking notice to the blood pooling out from her palm where she'd hit the floor, as she got up and ran to her closet, picking out a simple lacy long black dress with a corset to match. Quickly she undressed and tried her best to get everything on herself, having no problem with the dress, but having no idea how to put on a corset, she'd huff and keep trying. If one were to walk in on her right now, they'd see a porcelain pale, distraught raven haired girl, who very clearly just woke up, struggling her best to get ready so she could meet her new guard.

Sol stopped outside her room, but he took a deep breath before walking in. He looked towards her bed, finding the sheets askew and half on the floor. Slowly his eyes land on her flowing raven hair. His breath catches in his throat for a few minutes before he clear his throat to notify her of his presence. His red eyes looked over her skin. As perfect as before. He thought.

He spoke up, his voice deeper and all business, "Princess Luna. I am your newest guard. You are my charge. You and I will be spending much time together within the next few decades." He spoke formally, nothing like the old Sol. His eyes devoid of emotion, but his thoughts might get him killed.

At the voice of a male that was very unfamiliar to her, Luna would jump, the black corset she was try so hard to put on falling to the ground, and her dress, which was only half zipped up, hung off her shoulders as she turned slowly around to face the new presence.

Her face was a bright shade of red which was very clearly evident against her pale completion, which if one were to pay great detail to her facial features, they might take note that she had what looked like possible bags, though they were slightly hidden due the the bright color forming on her face. Her sapphire blue eyes looked embarrassed, though she kept eye contact with the strange man only after looking him up and down.
He looks..very well built. I knew he was top of his class..but well..I didn't expect this. Though..why do I get a very odd sense that I know him... She thought to herself as she pressed her hands against her chest to keep the dress up. "P-pleasure to meet you Sir. Forgive me for not coming to the throne room to personally meet you..I am..tardy today it seems.." She said, her blush only darkening, though the more she looked to the man before her, the more she felt a sense of familiarity, though that could also be due to the face that she doesn't get much sleep, and her brain isn't likely that awake.

Sol's eyes quickly avert once the corset has fallen, a blush creeping up his neck to his ears. The man that stood before her was tall, lean and well built. His black hair fell in his eyes and down the nape of his neck. His eyes were the purest red. He wore the vampric cross to symbolize that he had been in wars, and survived. At his hip, was a sheathed sword, that was made from a black steel he forged himself, with a hilt and guard that looked like spiders. He wore the suit of the elites: A black shirt, with a white jacket, that had a few stripes at various seams, and white pants, with a belt with a skull for a buckle.

"My princess, do not apologize to me." He bowed to her and looked her in the eyes. Same sapphire, same sky I will never see. "Would you like help in dressing?" He asked the question and took a few steps forward, bending down and picking up the fallen corset. "Please turn and I will zip your dress."

Once she turned, his blush went full to his face. I haven't seen a woman's body in over six years. This is pure torture! He was screaming in his head. He reached up, his left hand clasped the end of the zipper near the small of her back, and his right hand zipped up the dress. "Please place this around yourself, and I will tighten it for you" He said as he held the corset in front of her.

For a few moments, he admired her figure, but snapped out of it when he saw the corset in place. He clasped the hooks together, then tightened the string and tied it off. He took a step back and bowed his head low again. "I hope I did not over step my place. If I did, you may have me lashed for as many as you see fit. "He said in a stoic tone.

At first Luna was very surprised at how formal this man was, it was very strange to her as almost no one was that formal to her unless she was meeting important people, which he was very important, but still this level of formality was mostly used when meeting other kings and queens. As the man helped her dress however, her face became much more flushed. It is sad I had to get my own guard to dress me.. after all these years I still have peoples with such things..She thought to herself with a small sigh and a slight shake of the head. Once he was down she turned back to him and nodded a thanks. "T-thank you Sir...uhm..your name?" She asked tilting her hand as she reached up to run her hands thought her still bed ridden hair, her eyes looking into his, slightly more curious now than the before emotion, though her face was a deep red. His eyes.. are so..nice. He is nice, but I should have been better prepared for this moment... She reprimanded herself.

So gave a slight smile. "My name is Sol. Sol Dreama. It's a pleasure to see you again ,Luna." With that simple smile, it was like the 7 yr old boy Sol was back. "Sorry for being so formal. The walls have eyes," he said as he pointed to his ear, "and dome have ears too." He tilted his head and the scar over his right eye showed. "How have you been Luna? Been staying out of trouble in my absense?" He was happy to see her again, but he did need to keep it professional. His smile faded.

The instant Sol said his name, Luna's face lit up like a light bulb as her arms were threw around him in a big hug. "SOl!!!" She cheered with glee as her face settled against his neck, her eyes shut tight as she refused to let go of him. "Gods have I missed you...how have you been? I've been so worried." She said, her voice full over several emotions as she held back tears of joy from seeing him after so long.

Sol blushed a deep red, almost the shade of his eyes, and placed a hand on her unruly hair. "Hello Luna. I am well. I just finished the training." His smile was back as he felt her embrace him.

"I've missed you too. Your father decided I would be the best for your protection" he stated softly. He grabbed her shoulders and pushed back a little so he could see her face clearly.

His face soured a little. "You need to brush that mop" he pointed to her hair with a fake grimace

Luna playfully swats his wrist. "Oh you~" She teased as she turned from him and went to her amore and sat down, grappling her brush and beginning to brush out her long raven locks. "So Sol, we've got a lot to catch up on. Why don't we have a stroll around the garden and talk?" She asked as she looked at him in the mirror of her amore.

So nodded at her request. "I'm by order to do anything you please or suggest. You know that." He said simply looking around her her room. She was as messy as always. "Still don't clean up after yourself?" He questioned with a smirk

Luna giggles and nods. "Never. Though honestly I don't have the time I used to.." She said in a rather melancholy tone. "I actually wouldn't mind cleaning up the room, I have much to get rid of, I just don't have the time anymore." She said with a small sigh as she finished brushing through her hair, it now perfectly pin straight and falling in her eyes just a little.

Sol smiled and turned to leave the room. "I'll wait outside" he exited the room and waiting outside. He fixed his clothes and greeted the people who passed

Moments later Luna emerged, her heels clicking along the stone floors as she walked. "Shall we then?" She asked and offered her arm to him.

Sol nodded and placed his hands behind his back, he stood by her side and began to walk with her. "You have grown up to be very lovely, princess."

He escorted her to the royal gardens, his eyes looking around the area to make sure they were alone. "I made you something Luna" he said as he escorted her to one of the benches

Luna's eyes lit up in wonder and excitement as she sat down upon the bench and looked up to him, a rather large grin across her face as she held out her hands for whatever she was to receive. "Oh? What is it Sol?" She asked, pure wonder in her voice as her eyes never left his.

He bent down and grabbed a blade that was in his boot and handed it to her. A dagger in a sheath. "I forged this for you. It's made from the same metal as mine." He smiled and held it out. It has a a hilt that has a star the the butt of it, and snow flake designs on the hilt. "I wanted you to have this."

Luna stared at the blade with awe as her hands clasped around it, feeling the cool metal of the blade as she ran her finger along it, feeling every groove, curve and engraving on the sheath. "S-sol.."She said happily as her grin was now a very big smile. "This is.. So lovely." She said, her truth of that statement very evident as she slid the blade out and continued to admire it.

He smiled and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "Thank the Gods. I thought you would hate it" he sighed softly and chuckled softly.

Luna shakes her head and looks up at him after sheathing the dagger."Hate it? Why you I do that? I absolutely love it Sol and more so because it came from you." She said and patted the bench beside her. "Please come sit. We have much catching up to do and very little time." She said. Sol..you have become so different yet you still see like the same boy I grew up with. The years have been kind to you my friend.

Sol smiled and sat down. "I missed you Lu. What have you been up to?" He looked around the garden, remembering all the memories about it.
