The government began to post, and advertise their need for several adolescents, teens, and even children to recruit inti the military to be specially trained... so many children were given to the government.. from loyal American families, to single parents who needed money for drugs, or simply did not want their children any longer.
Once the children were released to the government, their parents were no longer able to visit them. It became illegal for them to even remain in contact.
2017; every child who was given up, under went many painful, elongated, and frightening hours of tests, aso their DNA was extracted into small vials and transported to the lab. Their DNA underwent many changes, some subtle, others too vibrant in the body. Many children were killed, it seemed so painful. Their bodies rejected their own DNA, and began to kill itself.
2018; only a handful of adolescents survived the DNA transfer, yet still underwent painful changes. A few days after the transfer, it all began. It began with anger. More aggressive, hostile, and easily angered traits began to shine in the adolescents. Then desire, the desired to be free. They wanted to run, to be able to be dirty, like animals.
Then it truly began. They began to shift. No trace of their past human looks once they had shifted, they simply looked like massive wolves. Their fur varied, from their hair color. They were beautiful, they were intelligent, massive, and would be able to overpower anyone.
2022; Training was over. After years of suffering, being pushed until they were on the verge of death, and fighting until they were bloody and their bodies felt like jell-o, it was over. They were monitored like prisoners, not ever able to socialize with one and other longer than four hours, they were strangers for the most part. Yet that didn't stop them.
2024; They escaped. It was a quick escape actually, mid night, and they simply slipped out. Apparently the scientists hadn't expected them to be able to shift and scale a 12 foot wall as easily as they did. Now they barely being pursued. Shot at, trapped, and tracked. The government is after them, yet the continue to run free, running constantly, never staying in one area for long. It didn't usually take long for the government to find them, as reports of wolves the size of grizzlies was not common.
You are one of these canine shifters, you are simply trying to survive and live free like your instincts desire. If the government finds you, they'll slaughter you. Rebellion is an unforgivable crime in America.
