(This is the OOC. Here's some more details about how powers work, so let's discuss your ideas and work on developing the finalized version of your powers together while I work on the other lore)

This information will NOT be known to your characters.

Powers generally fall into one of five categories: Casting, Infusion, Projection, Clairvoyance, and Illusion

Casting is the simplest and most direct type of power. Direct magical attacks such as shooting energy beams or fireballs are Casting powers. The strongest offensive powers tend to be Casting powers.

Infusion uses a familiar object, set, or type of objects to channel their power. By infusing an object with magical energy, they can enhance its properties and potency for a short time. Armor, weapons, explosives, and many other things could be the focus of an Infusion power. Unlike casting, Infusion comes in a great variety of power types. However, it does not tend to be very versatile as most Infusion powers can only affect one type of item. Infusion powers usually require direct contact with the item being infused. (Forgot to mention this OR: give it new magical properties)

Projection is the opposite of infusion. Instead of taking a physical object and enhancing it, projectors project a copy or copies of that object made out of magical energy. Projection is a more versatile power than Infusion, but can be difficult to use. Some projectors are able to use their power without physical contact with the item in question, but most still need contact, the same as infusers do.

Clairvoyance encompases all powers involving precognition and supernatural senses without direct physical interaction with the world.

Illusion encompases all powers involving deception and misdirection without direct physical interaction with the world.

Meld powers combine elements of any two of the five power types. Every awakened has exactly one meld power, typically their main power, but sometimes it is a secondary one. Sometimes, the second half of the meld power doesn’t manifest right away.

I'm not sure where mine would fall into these categories. Illusion possibly? I can change it if needed.

Ah yes, I've been meaning to address Ser Godfrey (so much to keep track of). I'd run him as an infusion power. Self-infusion can make him resistant to magic effects, but not necessarily immune. There's a counter to every power, and some of the meanest things out there are powerful enough to make him feel their power even through his (albeit reduced in effect). In theory the infusion ability could be extended to briefly grant his allies the same resistance.

I'm not entirely sure of what my character's power would entail out of these....

This is where Meld powers come in. I forgot to mention that infusion powers can grant new magical properties in addition to or instead of enhancing existing properties. Sooo take an Illusion power for the shape, combine it with a self-Infusion power to make it real, and there you go. Think creatively!

Yeah sure thing, that works for me.

Alright, we need some city states. @Rum Ham has generously provided four, but hey, if you guys want to invent a few more, be my guest. Basically, your character comes from one of these city states, whether in the city proper or just the city's territory. There are 12 city states, so if you want to invent something different from Rum's ideas (great ideas) then go ahead.

Masaturra- More of a shellfish than a city. There are countless walls for innumerable purposes around, within, and across the city. In the center is the lord's keep, known as the Casello Divi, or (in fictionalized late Latin) God's Castle. No one is sure how old it is, but it's huge.

  •

Dvaieste- A slightly smelly town wedged between two rivers. It controls the best farmland in the kingdom and ensures its independence by supplying the other cities with grain. Only a fool would attack Dvaieste, though of course some lords are fools.

  •

Gaseria- A major port stretched out between a long cliff and the ocean. It was founded as a small supply station as part of some ancient invasion, and since then grew into the greatest source of fish, ships, and sea shanties left in the known world.

  •

Teresevik- A significantly smaller port city in the mountains. The people there are said to be quiet, strong, and skilled at metallurgy. Will probably be the first to fall in an invasion.

The CS is up, you should be able to copy over most of it from your applications

It was just an observation, didn't mean to make you...that is a nice one tho.

Ahah, nothing of the sort, if anything I'm grateful for your comment that drove me to search for a new picture.

Thank you! It's from a movie I love as well so it's plus.

I'll start the RP as soon as everyone puts their CS in
