[The OOC Thread] Where Dreams Come True [The Chosen of The Void ]

Well, actually Black Exaltation is much more controlled. Deathlords get to choose who they exalt because they control the shards via Monstrances. They generally watch people who have talent or drawn their attention. They then wait patiently for a moment they are about to die, either from bad luck or engineered by them. At the moment right before death they or their agent approaches them with the offer of power.
I have no issue with finding another player, but only after we could get some confirmation from Meshif or after a time you choose. I would like to keep this game going as much as possible.
Yeah I have no problem with that. I understand the way they are chosen which begs the question, what if you destroy your monstrance? Does it become a solar soul again? Can the soul heal via Lytek?

Anyway, yeah I have no problem with people going AWOL as long as they just notify that they are going to be gone for like a month. Obviously this isn't an issue if you don't post for like a week or so I won't require to be informed. But if you are gone a month? Then we need to think about game preservation. I intend to finish this long campaign.

From what I've read, destruction of the Monstrance simply frees you from that Deathlord's ability to track, communicate with, or do horrible things to you via the Arcane Link. Abyssal shards remain as they are considering the change is so fundamental I don't believe even Lytek could do something. Admittedly there is also the fact some other Deathlord might snatch up the free shard and bind it via Void circle necromancy into a new Monstrance and make it theirs.

The only way to I've seen to change back is redemption which would be a campaign/adventure in itself to try to turn back into a Solar. But that's just what I've gotten out of the Abyssals book because I read it obsessively :P

Any GM changes to all of this I'm not going to complain about. Just glad to finally get to play an Abyssal. Though if those are all more IC questions, they are excellent ones for people who would most definitely not understand any of what they are, etc.

Well, I think redemption plot is in order, judging by your characters demeanors anyway... very nice people so far :P

But the void can change that of course. Like I had said before I do not want the teams idea of being evil to sway your characters opinion of redeeming himself. I won't leave you alone if you decide to hatch a plot against your team and destroy your monstrance and redeem. You will have a side story for a little while, maybe a month in RL time. Then I will introduce someone else, maybe I will recruit a solar player to play with you. Or, maybe you can play a game of convincing your team to redeem. Either way, you guys can do whatever you want when you want and I would love to run a redeeming campaign

As long as you are prepared for one hold out. Hattori, at least in my head, is the kind of unbalanced man who would be overjoyed at the chance for murderous power, and gruesomely kill anyone who had wronged him. It would be an epic undertaking to change his ways without mind control.

With the right propaganda Yuuma was designed to 'snap' to an almost diametrical opposed version of himself. Almost a true agent of Oblivion. And not cruel at all.

Sorry for late update, air conditioner has been out. Afraid to turn on my computer. I am going to work-update now :P

At least until I get it fixed.

Just checking in to see if you guys need more elaboration about anything at all. Or you guys are just to busy to post.

EDIT: If no one has qualms with it I will be replacing Meshif with someone who is interested in this game at the end of the week if he doesn't reply.

I have no issues with it. Meshif has made one post since the game started. He's MIA in my book. So if there's someone who wants in, let him or her in.

Please, please! Sit down, don't mind me at all.

I am just the replacement for the skivvy.

I shall just hurry forward, yes, and no further annoy such a nice company...

xarvh, I will encorporate you in my next post.

Sorry for the delay as of late guys, school is starting up again and I am just getting my barrings.

Welcome, Xarvh, to our little gang of reprobates and ne'erdowells. I think you'll do just fine.....

Update to come at noonish CST...
So this is a copy and paste from the stewards game, take it for what you will. I would like to continue this game if you guys would. I just needed time:

This game never took off very quickly, and that was mainly due to my fault. To keep a long story short some relatives passed recently in Canada that I was very close to. I didn't have access to the internet because they lived in bumpkin town, Canada. I should have warned you guys, sorry.

I am still up for continuing this if you guys are, now that I have grieved long enough it is time for me to get things up and running in my life again.

Ok guys, expect something substantial this weekend. Perhaps Saturday/Sunday time frame to get this train moving again.

Posted a quick snippet. Go ahead and respond, ill get you guys to the town here in a few, if that is indeed the destination of your desire.

Damnit, every time now I've managed to get into or start one it does this.
It is normal.

90% of the pbp games end before starting.

Usually people are genuinely enthusiastic about the idea/chargen, but as soon as the game start, the ideal clashes with the actual game and the dream dies.

I have not been a gracious GM. I just graduated Saturday and feel a great weight has been lifted off me. I would like to continue, this time consistently since I have more time then I know what to do with....

But that is up to you guys. I am extremely apologetic, though that does not make up for my non-informant ways. :(

Lets just say these few months have been a cluster fuck.

I remain ready and willing to keep going with this game. Its understandable how overwhelming RL can be at times, I'm just glad you've managed to return and notify us. Doesn't always happen.

So hopefully everyone in this is still interested, if not are we able to push on with just those that remain?

We will refill the ranks if need be. Though, I overwhelmingly enjoyed the posters we had. We will find out in the short weeks ahead. I am going to attempt to keep an at-least-one-day updates going as my time is now full of Void. I am currently reading Abyssals/Underworld/Scavenger Lands to fill it as well.
