depends on the class
if you use a custom class i have, then it shows the skills your character should learn
if its a -say- myrmidon or something, then you can just use the skills they gain from pass fe games, like Vantage and stuff

Yeah, which just makes me wonder what I should even do with Carren. It's not like he's forced to get into a fight here, and he'd really rather avoid killing someone. I mean, I could have him grandstand and say stuff like 'If you want to lay a finger on the princess you'll have to go through me", but... Well, considering the royal family's there already, presumably also armed save for Lenneth, it would be a little pointless.

See, I would have Carren say he doesn't want to fight and would be content with both sides laying down arms, but the Royal family wouldn't exactly like that. That, and they kinda murdered a few peeps.
Most I could do is have him draw closer to Lenneth, tome in hand and just acting as a last line of defense in case anyone breaks through to the princess, but, there would be people way more suited for that role already at the wedding (Freya or Xerxes for one).
Running wouldn't exactly be IC either. Nobody would just stand in place and fiddle around either. All these factors just combine into 'what the heck do i do here'

And he doesnt have to SAY outloud that he supports the Outlanders, he can just be you-know thinking it, and thinking something similar to Shy.

I find it one of the hardest to reply to. It's like a morton's fork to me. If Carren fight, it's not IC. If Carren stands still, it's not realistic and he'd be viewed as a coward. If Carren runs, both of those apply.
