Lucy was expecting her sister to scream at her, to tell her that she hated her and that she never wanted to speak with her again. Fuck, she would have accepted that rather than the words that came out of her mouth. Lucy's eyes felt like they were bulging out of her skull and the world around her spun, stumbling back as if someone had bunched her right in the gut. The shock of her sister carrying the child of the man who killed their father. And she was going to accept it and carry it?! Lucy felt like screaming but no sounds would escape her as she stared at her sister. Her heart slammed in her chest trying to focus on the positives of this outcome. Sinead was far too young to be having a child, she wasn't married! The man was a psychopath.

Lucy's vision blurred as she felt as though she was going to be sick and in that moment, she turned and let herself release the contents of her stomach. The emotions running through her taking control of her gut and forcing her to feel ill. After a moment, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and turned back to Sinead. "Jesus fucking christ Sinead....you can't keep it." She whispered in that moment. Her family would never forgive her. Lucy was finding it hard to even look at the girl. "You can't have a baby! You are a baby! The decisions you have made prove you are not ready for this....And with Angel! Our father's killer!" Lucy's sobs were uncontrollable in that moment as she felt sorrow for her younger sister. She couldn't imagine what she was feeling in that moment, and she was sure her older sister telling her that she couldn't have this baby was not making it any better. "I'm going to fucking kill him!" Lucy shouted angrily now, not caring who listened. /center]

Finn had made quick work of grabbing a coat and informing one of his cousins that he was leaving before heading out with the Detective. They had arrived shortly after leaving and when Finn saw Lorenzo's face, he wasn't sure what to think. The young man's face remained neutral as he sat down in the chair in the Detectives office, himself declining the drink the man offered, finding that it only made his depression worse. Finn wasn't sure what to expect this man to say to him. He listened to the mans words, freezing slightly as he placed a hand on his shoulder.

Finn stared closely at him, taking in every feature that had been hard to see before. He definitely looked like a Romano, the dark features compared to Finn's made it clear where he once stood. Once he had finished speaking, Finn said nothing at first. He simply let the words sink in, digesting everything he said. Biting his lip, Finn's blue eyes looked up to meet Lorenzo's eyes. "As much as it would satisfy me in this moment to hurt you....it would only be temporary. Thank you for your explanation...The way I see it you are just one of the many who have fallen under Vinnie's plans and blindly followed them..."

Finn's lip trembled slightly as he tried to remain as emotionally intact as possible. "As my parents always told me, revenge may be sweet..but it fades away....leaving one bitter aftertaste." Finn knew that at some point he would need to move on from his parents death, to leave it all behind. He was truly trying to do so.

Sinead observed her sister. She could tell how disgusted Lucy was with her and that broke her heart even more. She covered her mouth with her hand and struggled to stop herself from bursting into tears again. She felt like she'd now lost everyone. Her family and the father of her child. She felt well and truly alone.

Then, Lucy turned to her and said she couldn't keep the baby. Her eyes widened as she stared at her sister, questioning in her mind if she'd misheard Lucy. But then she continued to say Sinead wasn't ready and once again told her Angel was their father's killer, like she didn't feel bad enough about it. Sinead took her hand away from her mouth and slowly shook her head. "I'm not a religious person, Luce, and I've already sinned by being pregnant and unmarried. But I will not murder this baby," she firmly told her. "This baby has been inside me since before dad died. I just thought I was ill with the stress and the depression.... But it's nearly 4 months old and I can feel it now, right here," she said, moving her hand across her tummy. "There's a life inside me and I can't kill it. I won't," she said. If there was one thing she was sure of in this whole mess, it was that she wouldn't do anything to hurt the baby.

Lucy watched her sister sob and explain to her that she was 4 months along. Jesus christ....this child had existed for 4 months and none of them knew...Lucy felt guilty that she left her sister when she needed her. She couldn't tell anyone else and surely at some point she was sure Sinead would have came to her. Dragging her hands down her face, she took in a deep breath before dropping her hands and closing her eyes. Sinead needed to be taken care of first. Her mind was already prepared to cancel the wedding for the moment. This news was not going to go well with her family, and she knew that Sinead would have a lot going against her.

"Let's get you home..." Lucy finally said, deciding that she was going to take one thing at a time. The small bit of happiness she had been feeling about being engaged and getting married, now clouded by this unfortunate event. Sinead was pregnant with a murderer's child. "You will not say anything to Conor about this...do you understand me? He is already off his rocker, he will have a stroke if you tell him this...." Lucy would figure out how to break the news to Conor without Sinead around. "You need to be resting now, if you were ready for this child you would know that all this activity is terrible for your feet and back." She told her younger sister, the disappointment clear in her voice as she moved to help Sinead to her feet.

"I'm scared," Sinead said as Lucy suggested getting her home. Everyone was going to hate her when they found out about Angel, she doubted even someone as forgiving as Finn could still want to be near her. And her mother, well she expected the woman would kick the living daylights out of her. She felt so alone just thinking of home.

Lucy then told her she couldn't tell Conor, which made her worry even more. She doubted he would ever want to speak to her again, even before finding out about the baby. He would have to be told soon. "I won't say anything, not right now. He hates me enough for one night."

Sinead allowed Lucy to help her up, figuring it pained her sister to even touch her now. "I'm not ready. I only just found out a few days ago when the doctor made me have some tests," she said, it being no secret she regularly
checked in with a doctor to have her mind monitored. "I will try think of a way for me to leave home so you can all move past this. I'm sure one of the others would gladly replace me at your wedding so someone you can trust will be by your side. You and James will have a great life together, I just know it."

Lorenzo’s eyes widened when Finn spoke, showing him mercy. How? He had damaganed that man’s mind, and all he just let him go... Sitting down in the empty chair for him, he leaned on his knee as he focused on Finn. It was evident he was struggling, as he bit his lip. And then, he did something out of the ordinary, he pulled Finn in for a hug.

Grief isn’t something you should rush, take it slow. I brought up a ugly side of you, and it’s going to take time to put it back. Just slow steps...” Patting his back gently, he released the young man, and leaned on both knees to remain in eye contact.

"The baby will have me..." Sinead told Lucy. Perhaps the baby would be the only person she would have now. At the same time, her mind was ripped apart with thoughts of finding a normal family to give the baby away to. Angel had told her how he grew up with only a young single mother and how she'd struggled, so what chance did she have at giving this baby a nice life on her own?

Sinead tensed up when Lucy placed an arm around her and led her to the car. "So I can come home, admit to my mistakes and become a bigger burden on everyone? Sounds... ideal," she thought aloud. She watched Lucy rush of back inside the restaurant to find Conor. Sinead was so sure could feel her mind being separated and dragged to different corners of her head. She wanted so much to be with Giovanni and tell him about the baby, but she was also shocked and sickened to learn Angel was the one who had killed Emmet. The same father who she wondered if she now had no right to grieve for or claim to have loved. What even was Giovanni and Angel? She wondered if she was the same - two different people - devoted to her family whilst also being devoted to their enemy? Is this what it felt like to be more than one person?

Sinead steadied herself, leaning her arms on the car roof to stop her from collapsing. She felt sick and overheated, she felt everything just wanted her to give up again. Maybe going back into hospital so they could hurt her was the only way to fix her? She wished they could make her forget everything. She'd heard how some of the more severe patients had been "treated" and that the awful treatment had made them forget things. It was what scared her into getting better and escaping the hospital when she had.

She needed to feel the hold of someone who loved her and still cared for her, but there wasn't anyone now. Giovanni had left and her family would never be there for her, not now. Sinead stepped back from the car and decided to go. Perhaps she could beg someone at the restaurant to let her stay with them or see if her friends were home... her friends who were happily engaged so wouldn't even want her there. She hadn't walked too far before realising she had nothing. If she'd just agreed to run away when Giovanni suggested it, she wouldn't be in this position now, with nothing and nobody. She recalled thinking how absurd it was that Finn could ever want to take his own life, but now she understood it really was possible to think in such a way. She placed her hand on the small bump that had only recently started to show on her stomach and she was in a way grateful for the life that would force her to live too. She'd only walked the width of a handful of cars before holding onto some random vehicle and using it to help her slide down onto the floor into a sitting position and pulling her knees into her chest. She felt like the most worthless person in the World right now.

Conor Sullivan

Conor was by the cash register when Lucy came in, handing over some money to cover the cost of the drinks and any damage. He didn't even know why he was doing it, other than to divert his mind from wanting to kill Angel in front of dozens of witnesses. In the moment he'd watched the Italian walk away, he'd made the split second decision to let him go rather than publicly execute him and spend his days in jail where he really wouldn't be able to help his family. It would pain him for some time that he let that bastard just walk away and drive off. Conor stopped counting the money and just gave them whatever he was holding, which was probably far too much.

"Let's go," he said, the second Lucy had come back inside to him. His face was a mixed batch of anger, sadness and worry. But most of all, he was devastated. He knew Sinead would be in a bad way and he believed Angel had taken advantage of her sweet nature. Conor knew all he would want to do when he got back out to his little sister was hug her and tell her everything was okay. In reality, he knew it wouldn't be and he knew this was a time when he would have to rip his own heart out to make her see sense.

Conor left the restaurant, keeping Lucy close. He saw Sinead sat on the floor a short distance from his car. She had that same look on her face he'd seen from the night their dad was murdered to the day he'd let her get carted off to the hospital. She wasn't going back to that place, not after what he knew of her time there. "Get up!" he firmly called out, but with no response from her. Conor composed himself and told himself not to give in to that face of hers. "I told you to get up," he ordered her. He didn't give her much time and instead grabbed her under the arms, dragging her to her feet. As much as she wanted to, Sinead didn't even fight him, just remaining limp and letting him drag her towards the car.

After Lucy had opened the back door, Conor helped Sinead into the carseat, keeping his face neutral as he fought back any urges to coddle her. After slamming the car door shut, he told Lucy to sit in the back with her sister. He took a few moments to stay out of the car, letting the cool air hit his face as he tried to stay calm. Of all the people for her to get caught with, it just had to be one of the worst of the Romanos. The one who had killed Emmet. The one who had insisted on trying to ruin Lucy's and James' lives.

Lucy had retrieved Conor in no time only speaking to her to tell them that they were now leaving the place they trashed. Lucy looked to the hostess with a sympathetic gaze, hoping that Conor payed them enough for the damages before turning on her heels and following closely behind her brother. All thoughts of her wedding and the plans she had already made flew out the window, now focusing solely on Sinead. Lucy hadn't missed the look Angel had given her as he stormed out of the restaurant, and she had this feeling that someday she was going to pay greatly for revealing all of his wrongdoings to the woman he claimed he loved. Sinead didn't get it, she could never fully understand how selfish she was being with this child. What life was living with family in the world and not having an contact with them? She had seen what it had done to James and he was still going through it, his mother was a Romano, and at first they all thought it was bad. But Angel. He was worse than a Romano, he was even worse than the devil himself.

As she looked to where she'd left Sinead she found the girl slumped down on the ground a few cars away from Conor's. Lucy looked at her with a frustrated glance as her brother told her to roughly get up. Lucy stayed silent and let her brother yell at the young woman before he roughly helped her up and headed towards the car. Once Sinead was inside, Conor slammed the door and told Lucy to sit in the back with her.
Lucy nodded and fought to keep her own emotions in check, wearing an emotionless mask as she slid in to the back seat beside her sister.

Despite all the hurt she felt in that moment, the betrayal, she slid her hand over the seat and grabbed her sisters' hand. Unlike James and Conor who could so easily shut off every emotion and not feel the urge to comfort, Lucy's was a woman, and her maternal instincts kicked in when it came to her sister, especially since she was with child. Lucy said nothing as she stared straight ahead, waiting for Conor to get into the car.
Lucy felt like as the oldest of the siblings, she needed to at least try to be the glue that keeps the whole mess together. Conor needed to know about the baby, needed to know who's it was. But he also needed to know that Lucy would follow her sister if Sinead was kicked from the home. She needed guidance, and she couldn't raise a baby on her own.

Conor eventually got into the car and as he fastened his seatbelt, he briefly glanced to Sinead in the rear-view mirror. He wondered what had gone so wrong for her to seek affection from Angel. Conor believed he had gone beyond what was needed to show his younger sister how much he cared for her, which only left him to wonder if he'd cared for her too much. He started the engine and decided he wasn't going to speak during the drive home. Instead, he switched the stereo on and let it play at a low volume.

During the drive home, Sinead felt Lucy grab her hand. She turned to look down to their hands before squeezing her sister's in return. Sinead kept her hand where it was, but turned her head so she could look out of the window and watch them pass the world by. Keeping her free hand over her tummy, all she could think about was how awful this had suddenly turned out to be. She'd been excited and hopeful to tell Angel about the baby. It had been a shock to her finding out a few days ago, but she'd been able to seek out the positives and had already thought about all the things she would have done for the child. The places she take it and the kindness it would know. But now, all of that seemed like a dumb dream. It felt like the child would have no father, no happy memories and no aunts or uncles to help it thrive. The one thing that remained firmly unchanged was that she would never kill the life inside of her. No matter what Lucy, Conor, or more than likely, Shannon, would say.

Conor parked the car up and turned the engine off. He didn't say a word and simply got out of the car, grateful for the fact David was immediately approaching him to let him know where Finn had got to. Though he was concerned about the Detective showing up, he trusted Finn knew what he was doing. Conor made a point of continuing to speak with David until he knew Sinead had gone into the house. He was still trying to think of how he was going to approach all of this... how Emmet would have dealt with Sinead.

Sinead reluctantly stepped out of the car and walked towards the house, not oblivious to the fact Conor was avoiding her. As she stepped into the hallway, she was dreading one of the others coming out to greet her, only to realise they should hate her. She sat on the bottom steps and took her shoes off, silently and gently pushing Samson away every time he tried to lick her face. She then stood up and placed her shoes on the rack before looking to Lucy. "I'm going upstairs," she simply told her, before doing exactly that. Sinead headed straight to the bathroom where she proceeded to fill a cold bath so she could finally cool down and hopefully relieve the nausea she felt. After her bath, she went into her bedroom and once dried she put some comfortable clothes on. She sat on the edge of her bed, unable to think or feel anything. That was until her eyes fixed on the family photographs hanging on the wall, which she proceeded to frantically take down and put away under the bed. She figured those people wouldn't want to look at her right now. She didn't get back onto her bed and instead just laid across the floor, too worried to sleep and too shocked to think.

Conor eventually entered the house and proceeded to grab himself a beer. He then went to find Lucy to see what she was making of all this. "Luce, shall we talk in my office?" he suggested. "I need your help with this mess. Did she talk to you outside the restaurant?"

Any happiness that had surrounded their home from news of the engagement was wiped out in a single night. Lucy felt both mentally and physically exhausted as soon as she stepped through the house. Greeted by both her animals, she gave them the attention they needed before just staring numbly at Sinead for a while. Samson tried to greet the young woman but she wasn't having it. With a firm nod of her head, Lucy silently watched her younger sister head upstairs before turning to look around the house. No sign of James when she needed him most, but she knew that he was probably enjoying the company of his mother. Lucy briefly wondered what the man would think of all this...he could relate to the child in a way more than any of them could. Conor's voice made her snap out of her thoughts, jumping slightly at the noise. "She did talk to me." Lucy told her brother softly. "But I'm afraid you aren't going to like this...as much as I don't." With that, Lucy turned to head to Conor's office.

Once they were both inside, she made a point to shut and lock the door before standing in front of it. It was Sinead's place to tell the family of her news, but she knew that if she were to tell Conor now...he would break her accidentally. Lucy could handle the brunt of his anger, having dealt with it in the past. Sinead was the only one who could calm him...but now that they were on bad terms...Lucy was going to have to give it a shot. "She's pregnant Con." Lucy said simply her eyes meeting her brother's as the tears formed. Lucy had no time to waste, her sister was only going to get bigger and bigger as the months went on, the truth was going to slip out at some point. But if they could keep it between just Conor, James and herself of who the father was ...they could save this family. "I'm telling you this instead of her because she can't be stressing like this...I tried to reason with her, tried to tell her that she can't keep the baby...but she won't listen. As much as I hate this...I can't let you out of here until I know you aren't going to hurt yourself or her...emotionally or physically."

Finn saw the man's eyes widen as he spoked. Most people had the same reaction when Finn forgave them so easily. Finn learned that harboring onto grudges was going to get him absolutely no where at a very young age. If he continued the path he had been on long ago, he would have destroyed himself and everyone he loved in the process. A small smile appeared on the man's face as the man leaned in. Finn wondered what he was thinking and before he knew it. A Romano was hugging him.

He wasn't sure if this was real. After all, A Romano would never hug a Sullivan...right? They hated his family. But here this man was, hugging him and giving him advice to take it slow when letting go of his grief. Finn nodded silently at this and hugged the man back hesitantly, clearly confused as to why the man had a change of heart. And it forced him to ask just that, "What changed your mind? Aren't you suppose to be putting a bullet in my back..because of who my family is?"

Once inside the office, Conor took a long drink of beer before placing the bottle on his desk. He looked up to see Lucy had locked the door and was standing in front of it. He wondered what she could say to make things any worse, but he felt like there was still something for him to be told. When Lucy said Sinead was pregnant, his heart sank. He slowly backed away until he was propped up against the desk, almost as if he were about to hop up and sit on it. Reaching behind, he gripped the desk with both hands, practically digging his fingernails into the wood. It was the only way to stop himself from smashing shit up around the room. He was about to question what he'd heard, but Lucy continued speaking and made it clear Sinead really was pregnant. He was going to ask how soon they would be able to get a doctor's appointment so Sinead could have a termination, but apparently that wasn't going to happen. He knew if he forced his sister to get rid of the baby, she would never forgive him, though right now he felt like she was the one who should be worrying about being forgiven.

"What has she done?" he sadly asked, his eyes filling with tears. He wouldn't have cared much that his sister had got pregnant out of wedlock as he could hardly preach on that front, given the casual sex he'd had in the past. But the fact the baby was Angel's is what disgusted him. Were the father a decent young man, Conor couldn't deny he'd be a little excited right now. He'd doubt Sinead's ability as a mother, but he'd damn well help her and he'd be stupidly excited to meet his niece or nephew. But no, there was nothing to celebrate about this pregnancy.

Lucy made it clear he wasn't allowed out of the room whilst she suspected he would hurt himself or Sinead. He paced the room a little before slumping down on the sofa and kicking his feet up onto the coffee table. Apparently, he needed to think this one over.

"During the drive home, I kept thinking to myself how dad would have dealt with this," he began, looking up to Lucy. "Dad was a great dad, but I remember he wasn't perfect. He made mistakes and we all know that. Dad would have dropped you and Sinead off at home, but then he would have driven away to avoid this kind of drama. Maybe not to put a bullet in Angel's skull, but to avoid the fact that things were a mess. Dad didn't like drama and chaos, so he would avoid it, especially when it was family drama. I loved that man to bits, but I'm not taking inspiration from him on this one. I'm going to do what our mum would do..." Conor stood up and looked Lucy in the eyes. "When Finn and James get home, I want everyone in the lounge. Sinead will join us, even if I have to force her. If she wants to keep whatever it is growing inside of her, then she can tell everyone the truth," he decided. "This is not a secret that we can keep for long and even if we could, it would fuck this family up if it came out later. What's to stop Angel from messing with us and making sure everyone finds out now?! No... Sinead will tell every member of this family what she has done." He took a deep breath to calm his emotions. "I know mum will be furious, but I won't let her hurt Sinead," he said, his tone softer.

Lucy nodded as she listened to her brothers plans for her sister. She knew there was a possibility that he would make her do this...and Lucy knew she couldn't protect Sinead from this, it was for her to tell after all. Lucy flinched thinking about what her mother would say, how this was going to rip everyone apart. Another thought of canceling the wedding until further notice came to mind. She wanted her family to be united at her wedding, she wanted everyone to be involved. Her heart sank thinking that after this was over tonight, the family would never be the same. She knew it was foolish to think that this one event could go right, even though it was only a sliver of hope. She was a Sullivan, she was a living breathing target in this city, she tried leaving and learned that despite this fact, she couldn't let go.

"You're the boss..." She murmured softly to her brother before taking in a shaky breath before moving to slide down the door, still refusing to move from it until they both had calmed down considerably. Lucy sighed softly and rubbed her face with her hands before shaking her head. She was conflicted in every single thought that passed through her mind. "She was suppose to succeed. She was suppose to be the one to stay normal...out of all of us." Lucy's shoulders sagged as she let the sadness for the loss of her sisters future out. "Our Sinny, so bright, so beautiful, so talented. Out of all of us, she was suppose to go places. Settle down with a normal man, have normal kids...not this hell. Not this fucked up world she's in now." The sob came out and it was painful in her chest,

"We can't even be excited for her. Supportive. The child's father is responsible for our dad's death and she can't see how wrong this is!" Lucy shouted slightly. "This news is going to tear us all apart Conor. I want to be able to feel like our family is together at this wedding and now Sinead might be exiled for her mistakes! I don't even think I can let her be my maid of honor anymore! And I hate that I feel this way...but what she has done is almost unforgivable. I think we should just play things by ear. The wedding can wait." Lucy knew she was lying to herself when she said this, she really didn't want to postpone anything , but she was prepared to put it on hold if it meant that they could all make sure that Sinead got what she needed and the time to heal from all this.

"I'm scared for this family, that sick fuck has leverage over us. Like you said, what's going to stop him from messing with us now? And the worse part, Sinead willingly put herself in this situation to where he could easily hurt this family. I want him dead Conor."

Lorenzo sighed, “I used to be a lawyer, before doing whatever it is I do now. Now that i’m putting myself together again, i’m trying to help whoever I can.” Glancing at the detective, thinking about sharing the informtion, then continuing. “Let’s just say i’m helping those who are helping others, not hurting.”

“As for family, I honestly have no problem with the Sullivans, it’s Vincenzo who does. I’m new to town compared to him, so me coming here just threw me in that fight.”
Snatching a pen from the detectives desk, as well as a notecard, he scrawled down his address. “Keep this. If you ever need someone to talk to, or just want to have a drink, come by.” Handing him the card, he continued.

But you shouldn’t be blinded by social normites. You’re life revolves around a Romeo-Juliet esc familr rivalry, which you should hate. Break the mold. Hell, i’m a Italian who likes men and is currently betraying the deadliest family in the Midwest.” Laughing at himself, he glanced over at the cop, knowing his words wouldn’t leave this room.

Conor stood awkwardly on the spot as Lucy mentioned all of the hopes and expectations they'd had for Sinead. It was all true. She was the one who was most likely to get out of this place and make a good and honest name for herself. Up until about six months ago, she'd been right on track to following her dreams. She had her own place and was being offered better gigs with the band as the weeks went on. Conor knew who was behind the destruction of Sinead's hopes. "She was the best of us, Luce. Then Vinnie decided to drag her into our mess. He was the one who took away her home, her job and her independence. Then Angel came along and took the rest..." Seeing Lucy sobbing, Conor rushed over to her and held her tightly in his arms. She would be able to feel the fast movements in his upper body as he too cried. "They've broken her, Luce. Piece by piece, they've chipped her away." Conor knew when Vinnie first dragged Sinead into all of this, it was to teach Conor a lesson. Surely this hadn't been the man's plan all along, as that would mean he'd succeeded, yet again.

Conor took a step back and sighed as Lucy continued. "I can't be excited for her, no. However, I will support her, even if she doesn't think I'm doing so, at times. I think I know how mum and Carrick will feel. I'm not entirely sure what everyone else will feel or how they will react." Conor closed his eyes as he realised something. "This is not our fault, but I can't help but think we should have been more open with her. Sinead was often complaining that she was left out of everything. We didn't tell her about all of the things the Romanos - including Angel - had done to us. Perhaps we cared so much about protecting her sweet mind that she's never really understood the things the Romanos are capable of. She knows you, me, Finn and James have all been tortured, but she doesn't know what was actually done to any us. From now on, we won't shield her from the truth. As for exiled... she's not going anywhere. Worst case, she'll live above the pub with me." Conor placed his hands on Lucy's shoulders and looked her in the eyes. "Your wedding is still going ahead. I won't hear you speak another word of postponing it. With or without Sinead, you and James are getting married, as planned. Do you hear me?" He sighed as he thought of the finer politics of a wedding. "Sinead will be upset about not being your maid of honour, but there's nothing we can do to stop that."

When she said she wanted Angel dead, Conor nodded in agreement. "Angel and Vinnie will die. They're to blame for all of this. It's always been those two."

Athena slowly opened her eyes. She rubbed her eyes, rising from the bed that she was laying in.
"Oh you're finally awake."
In the corner, there was man sitting in a chair. The man had slicked back short auburn hair and wearing a suit. He was accompanied by his henchmen.
Athena looked at the man with fearful eyes, "W-Who are you?"
He simply chuckled, "Oh who am I? I'm Zayn Ryder. " He replied with a sinister smile. Her eyed looked at him, "Why are you doing this?" Athena questioned, assuming this man was in charge of her kidnapping.

"Oh, it's nothing against you princess. Vinnie has always spoke highly of you. But Vinnie needs to have a taste of his own medicine." Zayn answers. Athena bites her lower lip nervously. "Did he ever tell you how he sent a hitman to set my home on fire four years ago, killing my family? Or maybe when he nearly stole all my family's savings? He had done much more but I won't bore you all the details."
Zayn chuckled to hide the pain. His expression turned serious, "We used to be good friends but that changed when he betrayed me."
Athena focused her gaze on Zayn, "It's really nothing against you dear but Vinnie needs to learn a lesson." He spoke. Zayn looked at Athena, "Shall we make a call hm?" he spoke, dialing the Romano phone number.

When Vinnie would answer, Zayn would reply with a simple, "Hello Vincenzo, it's Zayn. How have you been?" he grinned evilly. "Athena is quite a sweet girl, I understand why you spoke so highly of her."

Rayna was pleasantly surprised when James asked her to meet him by the pier the previous night but agreed nonetheless. The woman left the house and arrived at the pier fairly soon. Though her mind was worried, thinking about sweet Athena. The young girl certainly didn't deserve such events. Distracting herself, her eyes scanned the pier for James. Eventually her eyes landed on the young man who seemed to be touring the area. Rayna walked up to him, presenting a friendly smile. "Hey."she simply greeted.

The telephone eventually rang, causing Vinnie to glance to Alex and Leo before going to answer the call.

"Vincenzo Romano..." he simply said. He then listened to the voice of the man who was speak and shook his head as the man spoke. "Oh, Zayn. A pleasure to speak to you after so long," he sarcastically replied. "I've been just great. Yourself? Athena is a sweet girl." In the back of his mind, all he could think about were the ways in which Zayn was going to suffer for this. "So, what's your plan, Zayn? You want your money and I want Athena. How is this going to go down?"

James stopped walking when his mother approached him. He sent her a friendly smile when she briefly spoke. "Evening, Rayna," he replied. "How are you doing? Been having a good day?" he asked, once again struggling to think of what to say. Struggling with small talk. "I was going to ask how things went with Vinnie after last night, but he can't have twisted things too much if you're here again today."

James looked to the sign above the pier entrance. "Shall we take a little walk? I can't remember the last time we were both here together, though I expect you can?" he asked. He would have liked to be able to remember seeing his parents alive together. He hoped Ronan had been a little more romantic and fun than the serious man he'd turned out to be by the time James was a kid.

Nicolo had been in the house the night before when Alex and Leo had arrived to tell them about Athena. He was shocked that Athena had been taken and was extremely worried about the girl. Nicolo spent the majority of the morning going around people he knew to find out if anyone had any information, however he sadly came up empty handed.
While he wanted to go and get Athena now, Nicolo knew that there was nothing he could do until the kidnappers got into contact and even then, this was a kidnapping for money situation so even when he found out where Athena was, he knew there wasn't much he could then either.
After meeting with the last person on his list, Nicolo gave up on the information hunt and hoped that someone would be in contact with his father during the day. He stopped in the restaurant that Alex worked in and made reservations for that night for himself and Olivia before driving towards her house. Since she was more mobile now, he believed it was a good time to redo their valentines date.
As he drove Nicolo stopped at a flower stall and bought a single rose before continuing on his way to Olivia's. He parked his car outside her house and held the rose behind his back as she rang the bell and waited for Olivia to answer.

When Olivia heard the doorbell ring, she walked to the front window and looked out to see Nicolo's car parked outside. She peered around to see he was standing at the front door. Vinnie had always told her to be cautious and considering what happened on Valentine's Day, she wasn't letting her guard down again. She hummed a little melody to herself as she unlocked the door and pulled it open so she could greet her visitor. "Good evening, Nicolo," she happily greeted him. "I do hope you've come to sweep me off of my feet," she told him. She hoped they were going to go out somewhere as she'd spent far too long cooped up in hospital beds or the guest room at Vinnie's place. She knew her injury was still restricting her from doing any active things, but just a restaurant or a show would be enough. She needed air and a change of scenery.

Drawing in a shaky breath, the blonde ran a hand through her long hair before nodding silently, agreeing not to talk about postponing the wedding. Lucy really hoped that everyone would have enough time to heal from this, for when her wedding day arrived she was sure she wouldn't be able to handle any kind of tension or extra stress. "I mean it Connor. This is the final straw, these men have way too much power over us. Sure dad isn't here anymore but fuck, we need to show them who they are messing with. For Angel to feel that comfortable sneaking around with a Sullivan, our sister is outrageous and he needs to fear us. They all do." Lucy knew this would be harder said than done for Conor, seeing as how he was also seeing someone. Alex had done some things, but Angel made what Alex had done look like child's play.

Sinead simply did not grasp what he could do...and Conor was right, it was because they all tried to shelter her from it. Lucy felt like she had failed as an older sister. Lucy needed a cigarette and a large glass of alcohol in that moment. The stress of what they would have to do now worked its way through her. "I would let Sinead be maid of honor, but this is already stressful enough. She's gonna think I'm punishing her I'm sure. But regardless of how we all feel about this baby...her health is the most important thing. " Lucy pushed thoughts of having to break the news to her sister out of her head before clenching her jaw. "We need to reign this family back in, unfortunately for us, mother is going to be so bloody upset that I'm sure she's not going to help. And dad isn't here anymore. Everything has fallen to shit but it ends right now. Sinead will tell the family of her mistake but then we move on." Lucy looked to Conor and mindlessly fixed his shirt, thinking carefully about her next words. "The night of our engagement...when Rayna joined us at the restaurant.." Lucy began, hoping that this information would help motivate Conor and not get her in trouble, "I told them I was going to use the restroom, but I actually ended up talking to Vinnie Romano instead. He has no intention of letting this all end Conor, of letting us move on from all this pettiness. He said that we were all too far in to stop at this point. " The worry was evident in Lucy's eyes, it was clear that Vinnie was a mad man. "We need to end him sooner rather than later."

With a raised eyebrow Finn listened with great interest to what the man had to say. It was surprising to hear that the man really had no problem with his family, wondering why the hell he had done what he did. But it all made sense to Finn in that moment, Lorenzo was just doing what Finn would most likely do to keep his family safe. Maybe not Finn actually, for he wasn't the type to torture and cause harm to others, he was more of a healer than a abuser. But if it really came down to it, he thought of Maggie ever being in trouble, just the mere thought of it made his heart skip into overdrive and his nostrils flare. He knew where Lorenzo was coming from.

The man stared down at the paper Lorenzo was writing on and took the paper as he gave it to him. Nodding his head, Finn offered a kind smile, "Uh thanks." He murmured out before wondering if he was indeed seeing things clearly. Finn knew a flirt when he saw one, probably because he was one himself. It wasn't intentional of course, he was just naturally flirtatious, with anyone really...but this man seemed to be doing it on purpose.

The sentences that followed were just as surprising to him but Finn knew how to play it cool. Lorenzo was open with him about his sexuality without much worry of what either of the men in the room thought. There was humor in his words, Finn haven't really noticing the fact that their families situation was close to that of William Shakespeare's classic love story. Though, as far as he knew, no one was in love with each other from the opposing sides. He got the gist of the italian man's words. "I will sure try to, it would be nice to see all of this fighting come to an end though.."

Conor nodded his head as Lucy made it clear how serious she was about getting rid of Vinnie and Angel for good. "I know, Luce. Just give me time to get my head straight and think of how to do this. I want to avoid taking Nikolai up on his offer, but the more desperate we become..." he trailed off. He knew the Russians had the power to help get rid of the Romanos, but he also feared it wouldn't be longer after that they turned their sights onto the Sullivans.

Conor retrieved his bottle and downed the rest of his beer as Lucy spoke about the matter of her Maid of Honour. He placed the empty bottle down on the desk before sending her a small, reassuring smile. "Okay, don't tell her for a couple of days. Can she still be a bridesmaid? Just tell her what you've told me. If she wants to have that baby then she can't be stressed and the duty of organising your fussy ass for the next few months will be too much for her. At least if she can be a bridesmaid, she'll still get to wear a pretty dress. Maybe? he suggested. He sighed at mentioned of Shannon, knowing how she could be. It was probably his mother who he got his own aggression and hot-headed nature from. "I'm afraid we'll just have to stand up to mum on this. She can shout until the cows come home, but I'll stick up for Sinead if I need to."

Conor frowned when Lucy mentioned her talk with Vinnie. "Ah, Luce. What did you go and talk to that snake for?" he asked her, though he was all out of anger to be using it on his older sister too. "Of course he won't let us move on. He gets off on watching people suffer. We will get him. We just can't rush it when he's always a step ahead of us. Angel too - he'll be expecting us now, so we need to be more creative."

The two siblings then heard James' voice from somewhere out in the hallway as he cheerfully greeted Lady and Samson, two rather excited puppies right now. "Looks like James is home. Will you gather everyone in the lounge while I get Sinead? Try to sit next to mum, will you? Then I'll sit further away, with Sinead..." he trailed off. He walked to the door and waited for Lucy to unlock it.

Lucy took Conor's advice seriously, nodding at his suggestion of keeping Sinead as a bridesmaid. She could definitely compromise and do that. The blonde's blue eyes narrowed slightly as her brother called her fussy, and her lower lip formed into a small pout. She considered herself pretty laid back about most things. "I am not fussy!" She said, though her tone made it clear that she knew he was only teasing. She knew that Conor would stand up for Sinead if mum began to get over the top. Lucy would be there as well, trying hard not to flinch in the fiery hot pits of lava that were her mother's eyes when she was angry. Sinead was about to suffer a reality check and the only thing her siblings could do was protect her from further persecution, not protect her feelings.

Lucy was impatient when it came to ending it all. Vinnie might be waiting for the Sullivans to make a move, seeing as what happened with Finn. But then Luce remember important information that Sinead had revealed to her. Angel didn't know about the baby yet...but he would still be waiting, Conor and Lucy had found out about the couple being together...that was fuel enough for an attack. Lucy was about to let her brother know that Angel had no clue about the kid when she heard her fiancés voice coming from the hallway. Her eyes softened as she looked at the locked door before Conor spoke to her.

"Yea I'll grab everyone. And sit next to mum...oh boy, think I'll need a good stretch before I have to leap in front of her." Lucy unfortunately felt like it wasn't a joke, she was sure this news was going to make her mother angrier than any of the kids have ever seen her, and Lucy was prepared to step in front of her to keep her from doing anything incredibly rash. Lucy followed her brother towards the door and unlocked it before stepping through before him. Upon seeing James, she offered a smile, trying to appear like nothing was the matter. "Hey love, how was it?" She asked lightly wanting to make a bit of small talk before having to fetch everyone else. "We are actually just about to have a small meeting in the lounge. Would you mind helping me get everyone?" She stepped forward to greet him with a light kiss, knowing that they probably wouldn't have time to talk about the meeting he had with Rayna until after Sinead revealed her secret and everyone had a say.

Carrick had been at the pub almost the whole day, either just watching the interaction between some of the customers or just drinking water while being by himself. At the same time he had a piece of paper next to him, on which he would be writing on it every once in a while. Sure he could had been serving drinks to them but he honestly didn't feel like doing anything besides just sit down and write down notes. Honestly the notes weren't really important, just things that he felt should really be fixed from the pub or things that where broken and had to be repaired. While at the same time he was thinking about the conversation he had with Cassie a day ago. He had been really thinking about going to back to college in order to become a doctor, do something that wasn't law breaking, a legitimate job that he could have. A few minutes later, he had left the pub and started driving back home, while frowning thinking about what he could do. Should he leave? Or should he stay with the family?

James caught a glimpse of Conor before the man headed upstairs and could see there was something getting to the Sullivan Boss. He decided to focus his attention on Lucy as she asked him how his time with Rayna had been. "Yeah, it was good. We had chance to talk a little more," he told her. When she mentioned they were having a small meeting, he figured it was linked to Conor's apparent agitation. He lightly kissed her in return and agreed to help her get everyone together. "I sure hope this isn't another engagement announcement, trying to upstage us..." he half-joked.

************

Conor knocked on Sinead's bedroom door and waited a short time before opening the door. He glanced to the empty-looking wall which had been stripped of the framed family photographs, but he would address that another time. He looked down to see Sinead now sat up on the floor, her wide eyes looking up at him. Conor crouched down to his sister's level and studied her face for a moment before looking up to the ceiling. "Ohh, Sinead..." he tiredly began. He then looked back to her face. "Lucy told me about the baby and that you're going to keep it," he said, to which she quickly nodded her head. "It's not up to me to tell you not to. However, it's up to me to make sure this family knows the truth and they need to know now." Conor stood up then bent down to take Sinead's hands and pull her up onto her feet. "Everyone's waiting downstairs so you can tell them everything."

"Conor, please..." Sinead began, barely able to get her words out. "They're all going to shout at me. They'll hate me. I don't have anyone..." she stopped her she couldn't prevent herself from crying again.

"Damn it, Sinead," Conor softly muttered. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in close for a hug. He was pissed off with her, but there was no way he couldn't try to reassure her, not after how close they'd always been. "I don't know what they'll all say and I'm sure there will be shouting, but you've always got me and I'll be right there next to you. You have to do this, though. It's the only way we can move forward and that you can keep that baby."

*************

Conor remained close to Sinead as they walked downstairs. He did glance down at her out of curiosity, but even on someone as tiny and slim as Sinead, he couldn't even tell there was a small bump there. Regardless, he knew it wouldn't be long until it became more than evident, so it was better she told the truth now before people realised on their own accord. When they entered the lounge, Conor looked around at his cousins, siblings, mother and future brother-in-law. A sofa had been left empty that was out of Shannon's direct reach, so Conor sat close to Sinead on that one. "Alright, everyone. Sinead has something important to tell us all and you're all going to listen to what she has to say. I don't want anyone to speak until she has finished, alright?" he requested, in the nicest way possible. Conor decided to place his arm around her shoulder as a show of encouragement. "Start from the beginning," he whispered to her. James looked to Lucy, with a curious expression on his face. In the back of his mind, he wondered if this was something related to her talents - had she finally got her break?

"Okay, I..." Sinead began, quickly scanning around at all of those present. "Last year, at the Jazz Club, our family was attacked and shot at. Giovanni," she began, before glancing to Lucy. "Or Angel, as everyone else knows him. He was there and he took a bullet for me - he saved my life. Some of you remember I took off in James' car. I wanted to give Vinnie a piece of my mind for attacking us again, so I drove to his house. But Giovanni came out to me and talked me out of it, and agreed to meet me the next day to talk things over. He talked some sense into me. From then on, I was attracted to him. We went on secret dates and I fell in love with him. He was kind, generous and a sweet gentleman to me. He made me feel whole..."

"Jesus Christ..." Shannon angrily groaned, before catching Conor's eyes and deciding to let the foolish girl continue.

"About a week before Emmet's birthday, Giovanni and I ended our relationship," she said, not sure if she was allowed to call her father her dad anymore. "I never heard from Giovanni again until Valentine's Day and then we got back together. I was out for dinner with him tonight, until Conor and Lucy found us together." Tears were by now streaming down Sinead's face as she struggled to keep herself from crying. She knew she had to finish speaking. "I'm um... I'm also four months pregnant. I'm having a baby and it's Giovanni's," she quickly managed to let the words out. She then looked down to the floor, her whole body trembling as she anticipated a barrage of anger. Conor remained close, as much as hearing about Angel had angered him again.

When Carrick had arrived home, he hadn't honestly expected for their to be a family reunion, having to raise an eyebrow when Conor said Sinead had something to say. Deciding to sit next to his mom, he intertwined his fingers as he heard everything that his sister was saying. He had stayed quiet throughout the whole announcement, while inside he was fuming. The one person who he had always felt like he could trust that wasn't Conor, had fallen in love with a Romano and now she was expecting a baby that belonged to said enemy. He honestly didn't know what to say to her, but at the same time it was clearing so many doubts that he had, especially about leaving the family. But it was clear he should leave, he would probably start to despise her more than he did and probably do something that he shouldn't do. Standing up, he walked in front of Sinead with an emotionless look on his face. "I hope that still born child of yours and the Romano suffer misery, don't trust me to be that loveable uncle to the bastard child, any respect I had toward you, it's gone." He whispered loud enough for only Sinead to hear, using words that he had never used before. He turned away from her and started to walk up toward his room, nothing but anger showing in his face while he threw himself on his bed.

James Porter

As Sinead told her story about how she had fallen in love with Angel, James let his head drop back so it was resting on the back of the sofa and his vision focused on the ceiling above him. All he kept thinking about was that it had to be Angel, of all people. The man who had screwed with the Sullivans in the worst of ways. Manipulating Lucy and murdering Emmet. Not to mention his personal issues and altercations with the bastard. James despised Vinnie more than anyone else in the world, but Angel was an extremely close second to him where hate was concerned. James knew how manipulative Angel was and how easily he could switch on the charm. He also knew how naive and young Sinead was. She must have been an easy target for that man's games.

James suddenly sat forward and looked to Sinead as she dropped the further bombshell that she was pregnant. He turned to Lucy and looked her in the eyes, searching to see how she felt about all of this. He reached out and took hold of his love's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. He chose to remain silent for now, letting her family respond first. All he could think about was the parallels with his own parents. The only difference being, neither of his were sociopaths or anything at all like Angel. Despite that, he feared for Sinead's unborn child and the damage that could be done if her family made the wrong decision on this.

The story was even more painful to hear the second time around, knowing that this wasn't something that anyone was going to take lightly. Biting her lip, she tried not look so nervous as she sat between her mother and James. It was painful to sit and watch her sister fall apart at the hands of a man who had destroyed their family forever. Angel didn't know of the child, and Lucy hoped that he would never find out. Despite the things Sinead had said about the man, Lucy knew better because she had see it with her own eyes. He was charming, and sweet and just overall a great guy to be around...perhaps when he wasn't working for Vinnie directly, when he was trying to get his way but everyone else in the room knew what type of a snake he was.

Sinead still needed to figure that out, unfortunately for her, it was too late to not fall for his tricks. Her mother spoke for a moment and Lucy's head snapped in her direction, ready to stop anything if necessary, knowing that her mother was likely to go off the rails when Sinead finally got to the most devastating of news. Lucy listened as her sister finished her story. The silence that followed was tense and uncomfortable, she looked to her sister; visibly shaking as if she was preparing herself for the backlash that she would face. Lucy's eyes became thick with tears for a moment blurring her vision, blinking them away quickly. She felt James sit up quickly before turning to face him. Her jaw ticked in anger as she thought about what Sinead had thrown away due to this mistake, the leverage the Romano's had over them now...and perhaps even she felt sadness for the unborn child.

As she looked at James, she knew that he had been in a similar situation, but his parents weren't anything like Angel. She could only pray the child inherits some of Sinead's traits. She blinked away tears again and squeezed his hand in return before scooting closer to him, leaning against him for support in all of this. She too chose to stay silent for the time being, having already told Sinead what she felt.
