Vincenzo Romano
Once the greetings were out of the way, Vinnie asked everyone to go to the dining room so he could serve dinner. When they were all seated at the table and were eating the appetiser, Vinnie cleared his throat as he decided there was no time like the present to address his family.
"I know things rarely run smoothly and peacefully where this family is concerned," he began, looking to his kids, then Lorenzo. "I know I often keep secrets and think I'm withholding information to protect you all. I know that isn't always the best way to go about things and there is something that I feel you all need to be aware of before you find out through other means." He looked to his female cousin and smiled. "The purpose of Rayna's visit isn't just to catch up with us, though I'm sure she is happy to be with us all right now." Vinnie was debating how to say his next words, knowing a whole can of worms was bound to be opened as a result. "After everything the Romanos have been through with the Sullivans, there's not really an easy way to say this... Rayna is James Porter's mother..." He looked Rayna in the eyes, masking his own hatred for her son. He didn't want to put any words into her mouth, so would try not to. "I believe you wish to reunite with your son, am I correct?" he asked the woman directly.
Olivia remained silent throughout the whole speech, only looking up with interest as he mentioned James' name. After everything that had happened, she knew this was huge news and could only wonder what kind of trouble this would cause. As far as she was concerned, James was likely in on the attack on her or at least knew of the plan to have her stabbed.

Conor Sullivan
Conor looked up when his quiet brother, Carrick, approached him and wished him a happy birthday. Conor smiled widely at his brother as he accepted the gift, opening it to reveal an antique watch which had clearly had some thought behind it. "Ah, Carrick, mate. It's amazing." He removed the watch he was already wearing, placing it on the worktop, then put the new one on around his wrist. "Thank you!" he told him. Carrick didn't get away quick enough before Conor grabbed him and pulled him in for a brotherly hug. "Much appreciated, little brother," he assured him.

Shannon Sullivan
Shannon had stood in the background, watching fondly as the younger generation of the Sullivan family exchanged gifts and chatted amongst each other. She was leaned against the door frame between the kitchen and the hallway, using the structure as support for herself. When Carrick walked over to stand by her side, she sent him a warm smile and rubbed his shoulder. "You enjoy yourself, dear. I'm going to go find a nice spot on the couch," she told him, her hoarse voice reflecting her tired state.
As she entered the empty lounge, Shannon approached the sofa James and Lucy had just been sat on. She had her hand pressed against her side, feeling the pain in her healing wounds as she walked. When she's slumped down on sofa, she felt something pressing into her lower back and reached her arm behind to retrieve the item. What she had found was a suede ring box and when she curiously opened it up, she quickly closed it again upon realising it wasn't a gift for Conor. She stuffed it underneath the cushion until she had chance to reunite it with the owner.
