Ah, the school's not named Holy Arts, it's Cross-Light. It might confuse people about which subclass you're using, since Holy Arts is a subclass of Cross-Light. Also I'd prefer at least something to describe how your character wound up in one of Nayuta's academies in your bio before I accept you, since sometimes things go downhill with 100% "to be RP'd" bios, as far as what I usually see in RPs with bios like that. Aside from there though, you're accepted.Scheani said:Lyza Miorid
Name: Lyza Miorid
"Though I thought I had already said.."
Age: 17
"Though its pointless to know."
(Though I never stick to it.)
Personality: Not particularly energetic or lazy, Lyza could be considered average.. If she didn't have such a sadistic mentality. If she hates you, she really hates you, if she likes you she really likes you, for this girl it is only each extreme, and never a bore. On the outside appearing to be mellow and a sociopath, on the inside being chaotic and a sociopath.
School: Holy Arts
"I guess that makes me sound like a nun.. Heh."
Energy manipulation is a simple act for Lyza, her mind at ease for any of the simple tasks of manipulating. But stressed is she when she is to conjure energy, her now having to seek out the energy that has the possibility of being created.
"I mean look at how complicated that second sentence is, now imagine wrapping your mind around the concept of easily deciphering the idea."
"Yeah, I know. I'm hot."

? Maalik has a mesomorph body with long limbs and a thin, but muscular built. His facial attributes are the most distinctive features some will notice first-hand apart from his apparel. He was born with heterochromia where his eyes are both two different colors from one another due to the lack of melanin; in Maalik's case, his left eye is a bright-golden hue that shines like the moon while his right is a wine-red that will glow when he uses his taboo spell. On his right eye, there is a past scar that starts from his forehead straight over his eye down to his cheekbone. He has quite a winsome face with strong jawlines and high cheekbones, thin lips that rarely ever curl up to a smile, and a pale ivory complexion that seems to glow under light. His hair is charcoal-black and is past his elbow just slightly. His bangs are also long and covers majority of the right side of his face than his left, blocking his abnormal eyes from being seen and avoiding eye contacts with others.
? His apparel is always dark with no other color besides red and black with white decorating it. As the image on the left shows, he is sometimes seen with a black fish-tail cloak, under it, he wears a red vest over a white dress-shirt and black trousers. Around his neck he wears a red scarf to hold his hair back but also because he is sensitive to the cold. Around his waist is a belt that has two pouches strapped on to carry his belongings.
? ??????
In the season of autumn, a day just before what is well-known as the "Month of Death", in the kingdom of Karasu, a child was born. The mother of this new life fell in awe at how angelic her first child appeared and was blessed with a healthy baby boy who she named as "Maalik", meaning
the angel of Purgatory
, due to the day he was born on and his appearance of a fallen angel. Some had questioned her reasoning to give such a name to a beautiful boy such as him but she ignored them with venom coating her final words silencing those who were against the name given;
"
This is my child; my blood, my gene, and his name is final. If anyone hold evil intentions or speak with foul words on my child, I
will not
hesitate to curse upon your name and bring hell upon everything you love!
"
? ?????????
From the day he was fully given ability to sense, to the day he said his first word, to the day he was able to walk, Maalik lived a life of protection and showered with affection by both his parents. He was still an only child among the Acaelus family thus far until it came to his fifth birthday that he was blessed with a little sister where he was given the privilege to name. The name he chose when his baby sister was born was, Calista, because of how exquisite she looked, just like when Maalik was born. Two year after, his family grew with two more siblings, both fraternal twins, where the girl was named, Shui, and the boy named, Arui.
Being the oldest among three younger siblings, he took it upon himself to set an example and be the role model his younger siblings needed. Spending all his time and dedication into being a good older brother, he didn't noticed the gap that was opening between his parents and himself until the day he was shunned by his mother.
Thrown into the education system, he couldn't do anything to fix the gaping valley that separated his parents from him. He didn't even know why his parents ignored him and the only thing he could do to try and get their attention back on him again was study. He pushed himself to work harder and outshine his classmates with perfect marks but no matter what he did, it only made the rift grow ever more.
He still continued on with excellent grades but his purpose was gone. Everything he did before now just added more weight to the pain with a hole growing in his own heart. He was still loving to his sibling but became somewhat distant and soon shut himself out from the world to put all his effort into his powers and his education.
? ??????????
Now at age 9, it was time. He was informed by his parents -- after two years being ignored with no verbal connections or any sort with his parents besides coincidental eye contacts -- about the event in city of Nayuta and the announcement made by Father Zoro. Maalik was confused by all this and thought it was just some crazy idea his parents were playing on him but he soon realized that this was no joke when
they
took him a year later.
He fought against this fate that he didn't choose but soon gave up when his mother, for once in his whole 10 years, slapped him across his face. From the slap, her long nails were able to cut the skin over his right eye making what soon became a scar that he would live with in remembrance of his mother's words along with the cold expression cross her face;
"
You are
not
my child. You are old enough to fend for yourself. This place is
no longer
your home and we
will not
affiliate with the like of you. Be gone from my sight and
never
return here again!
"
These words were strong to stab Maalik hard enough to cause something to snap in himself. Taken away from his family, he didn't dare give a single glance back at his family for he was now disowned, a child with no family or a place to call home ever again. The salty tears spilling from his eyes -- mixing with the blood from the cut -- were the only thing that gave his silent good-byes to his family while his siblings watched from within the safety of the house, bawling their eyes out after what had happened, their pleas for their brother to come back were disregard. Maalik's father was nowhere in sight.
While Maalik went on to Nayuta, he didn't even see his mother fall onto her knees in tears, the hand she used to slap her own son clenched close to her chest tightly drawing blood as she whispered soft prayers of apologies in hope of the heavens to send it to her son to understand and forgive her for doing such things.
? ???????
After seven years being a student of Dark Arts, his purpose being here had begun and the battle struck the six schools to collided into what was suppose to be a competition, into a bloody war. At this point, it was rare to find an untainted soul within the city of Nayuta because every single hand were filthy with blood, even Maalik's own.
Though he was part of the Dark Arts Academy, there had been some controversy happening within the Academy to even go against one another despite being one Academy. Maalik took no part in it but there was no way to escape it and because of it, he had even killed his own comrades though, there are no such thing as that now.
Maalik lost everything; family, home, even friends. There was no one he could actually trust at this point and the hole within his heart is too big for anything to fill it back up. His resolve for this event had fallen. Now, he is just a hollow shadow of himself bringing bloodshed in order to survive until he gave out his last breath.

Personality
? Maalik uses very small and brief statements to describe how he feels and won't elaborate on the meaning behind his words. He lacks social skills in communicating with others and being more expressive in his emotions but is quite intelligent. He appears as a towering figure with an intimating aura from afar, but in person, he's surprisingly cordial but with a more timid approach to him. He keeps his eyes looking down at the floor as if it is the most interesting thing in the world and keeps a safe distance from others in order to keep himself from getting hurt and also hurting others.
He values trust deeply and has a hard time trying to depend on another for aid. Due to what had happened to him, he isn't gonna be easy to get close to. It will take time for him to see the good in one's heart and bring his guard down as he will become brutally impulsive within seconds if he sees anything that can do harm to him.
If he does find the heart to become vulnerable to someone, that person will see a new side to Maalik that he keeps bottled up behind the stolid mask he wears. He will open up more with a sense of a gentleman-like attitude. He will be greatly expressive to them and won't hold back to act spoil from time to time unless the situation calls for him to be composed. He would always be there in time of needs and is selfless enough to throw his life on the line for his friends even those who he hates or can't trust.

Tallula Augustine "My name is Tula. Go away." - 18y/o
"Nobody asked you, alright? Beat it!"Tallula Augustine was not born inside the great kingdom of Karasu, but far overseas in some other distant land. Her father was a wealthy noble and government official, her mother his dutiful wife, and Tallula herself their only heir. Of course one could expect the many expectations placed on the young girl! But she bore them all and rose to surpass every one, growing fast into a compassionate, kind, yet firm successor, obedient to her parents' every whim. Many assumed her to be nothing more than a mere puppet, easily manipulated and exploited, and they might have been right; Tula never questioned a single order and always did as she was told. She was only eight years old when she made the trip to Karasu, her father having been sent on some sort of diplomatic mission, she was told. In truth, her parents had somehow caught wind of the goings-on in the rising city of Nayuta. They were told of what would happen only a decade into the future and they wished to see their daughter triumph in yet another subject and tout their successor across their home kingdom. Mere months later, on the eve of her ninth birthday, Tula Augustine was sent away from the home that was her parents' arms to learn the magical arts at Snowfall Academy. The first few months were rough to be sure; Tula had entered a month and a half late, after everyone else had gotten to know each other and form their niche in the school. She focused intently on her studies, going many nights without sleep, wishing to make her parents proud yet again. But magic proved to be the toughest subject yet. No longer was the little noble standing on the highest pedestal, nor was standing on any pedestal at all. For the first time in her mere nine years, she was average. She did not take to this kindly. As the days turned to weeks, the weeks to months, Snowfall saw its foreign girl turn silent and closed-off, not even attempting to make friends. After one particular blunder while learning how to infuse weapons with magic, Tula ran from the room and the echoing laughter of her peers to find solace in a silent courtyard, seemingly empty of all students. Here, she let her first tears fall and cried out her frustration. Unbeknownst to girl did a young boy follow her out. His name was Kar, she soon learned, a peasant messenger boy from some town whose name she couldn't pronounce. His parents sent him here in askance of glory for their name, much like Tula's own. He was far from sweet and often crude, but he was kind. They grew close in a short time, and he became her best and most trusted friend throughout the years. He was the one she could turn to and lean on, he was her rock, her whole world. She reached her eighteenth birthday. He said he had something to ask her. But before all of that, an assembly was called and the fateful news of the coming war between schools was released. They stayed as close as possible, practically joined at the hip, their steps the same. When buildings began to fall barely a week into the game and in a sudden break of character, he said he wanted to marry her. They had their own little ceremony there inside their hideaway, just the two of them. He only lasted until two days later, when some Cross-Light student stole his soul away. Kar's death marked Tula's turning point into the ruthless murderer of today, six months into the game. She holds no loyalty to her school or the principle who runs it. Her only aim now is to kill Father Zoro, take his place, and become a god among men. "I'd like you a lot more if you were dead."Tula was once a kind, courteous girl who followed her parents' and teachers' every wish, but since the war started, she has grown cold and unfeeling, merciless. A first glance would tell an observer that she holds no emotions and cares not even for lives she takes. Upon a closr inspection, should one be so lucky to obtain, she just reveal her softer side in subtle ways--a look or her tone of voice, the way she starts a fire and her expression when she hunts. Always careful to avoid attachment, Tula makes it a habit to say as little as possible to any new ally and to never place trust in anyone but herself. "None of your business."SNOWFALL - water Though by no means a prodigy and an average Level 6 mage Tula is not a student to be trifled with. She excels in strategy and uses her wits rather than power to win the fight. This is not to say that she isn't deadly, as she is the killer behind a large percentage of student casualties. She has the focus to pursue either subclass, but she much prefers the use of water magic for its smooth, gentle nature. SPECIALTY SPELLS: Mollify: Tula's version of the healing magic of water; Her hands become enveloped in water and her touch is enough to soothe the intended target. The quality of this spell relies heavily on the quality of the water used--the cleaner and purer water used, the greater the effect. As such, this skill may not always heal the target. Ocean's Claws: One of Tula's more advanced techniques and thus cannot be used for extended periods of time; Water sprouts from each fingertip of a single hand to form sharp, squid-like tendrils. These tendrils are always writhing about like a snake with its head cut off, and are used much like a whip. Godsbreath: This spell can be used to create a bubble around the target's head which can be filled with either air or water. When filled with air, it allows the target to breath while submerged for however long the air will last; the bigger the bubble, the more air inside and longer one can breathe. If filled with water, it can be used offensively and drown the intended target. Each bubble can be broken by any external force with enough pressure. Warden Waves: Another dual-type spell; This ability allows the caster to alter the density and molecular structure of water to form either a shield or projectiles. The better one's focus and higher one's energy, the sturdier and more deadly the spell becomes; for example, a low-level projectile would be marble-sized spheres of water, while a trident or spear would be high-level.
Can somebody say cliche?? (OUO)
