She’s extremely spontaneous and is willing to do almost everything and anything for the sake of a thrill. She’s also someone who is quite emotional and takes others burdens on board – to the point where she makes herself sick with worry. Strengths: Can take out big groups are giant buildings quite easily. Can use otherwise rather useless objects to her advantage and cause really bad damage. Can melt through almost impossible objects by raising the kinetic activity.
Weaknesses: She can only apply this to objects she touches. The aftershocks of her explosions are large and are often uncontrolled, making her extremely reluctant to use it.
History: Aamaal comes from a Bengali Hindu family. Her parents are extremely conservative so if you catch Aamaal outside she’s probably snuck out. Mind your own damn business and turn your face away otherwise you’re going to be catching hands – not Aamaal’s but her best friends Hana. Her family immigrated in the 80’s and have since been working very hard every day to make sure Aamaal and her siblings (one older brother and two younger twin brothers) get the best life possible. When Aamaal first went to school she experienced a lot of racism and colourism – people telling her to ‘go back to her country’ and that she herself was ‘too dark’. A lot of that got to Aamaal and made her feel extremely insecure in herself. It was because of that she tucked herself away into writing – something which was one of her greatest passions.
She would dream up stories, fantasy and fictional where the character would be living a completely different life from her own. Free and liberated, and with all the good perks a fantasy novel should have. It wasn’t until Aamaal entered middle school where she met her best friend – Hana. Both of them clicked instantly through shared experiences. Hana was a natural introvert who would have bursts of energy if required to do so. Aamaal on the other hand was an extrovert waiting to break out of the introverted shell that she made for herself throughout her middle school life. And that’s precisely what happened.
Towards the middle of her first year in high school, Aamaal became sneakier. She found herself breaking rules and actually becoming a natural at doing so. She quickly became friends with a lot of people and worked her way towards becoming really popular. Nowadays, Aamaal is usually out finding every single loop hole and trick in the play book to keep her newfound rebellion and freedom from her parents going, no matter how extreme measures she needed to take.
A recent example would be the party she went to. She climbed out of her window, dressed in her favourite dress and sneakers. She remembers walking down the warm night hand in hand with Hana and as they chatted and giggled about everything before reaching the party. Hana hurriedly went inside to go greet the host but Aamaal took her time. It was then that she looked towards the night sky and saw what must have been a star cluttered sky. Nothing but stars and galaxies – all looking so pretty and divine. Almost magical. She remembered being in a trance until it was over. It was then that she hurriedly went inside.
It wasn’t until she began skipping stones at the lake behind her house that she realised just how magical the stars were. She definitely didn’t expect a minor explosion when her rock hit the surface of the water.

Niklaus was born to Swedish parents in Stockholm before moving over to America when he turned five years old. Initially, Niklaus found himself getting picked on from the other kids for his accent despite it not being that prevalent. As a result, Niklaus learned to fight from an early age – usually ending up getting in a lot of fights even before he made it to middle school. He garnered a rather fearful reputation when he first started middle school, making a lot of people initially reluctant to talk to him. His Swedish accent also managed to slip away into a softer, muted American accent – he still carries a bit of his accent when he gets angry with someone.
When Niklaus entered high school, things started to change. Niklaus, for the first time, actually became really popular amongst the other student. Why? Because he was quiet and tall and brooding and apparently that’s what teenage girls liked. This really just made his life harder considering he didn’t want to have to talk to 95% of the people he encountered. However, he still plasters on his best smile and tries to act as nice as he can when talking to someone. Niklaus is someone who really takes life as it goes and that’s how his life has been for the past three years of high school.
He was in with a really popular crowd, didn’t really do much – he did however, keep his grades up as was expected of him by his parents. His parents were and still are a strong presence in his life. Always afraid that their son would give in to the ‘luxuries’ of America, they always make sure to keep him on the right path and are currently really encouraging him to take a good, earnest and hard look at which universities he wants to go to. His parents want him to go into the medical field but his always wanted to go into Astronomy.
One night, as he usually was, Niklaus was invited to a party. Usually he didn’t really attend these types of events but he had just gotten into an argument with his parents and needed a time out. Benji's ability is one of those that can't be turned off or controlled because it is more on the passive side of things (as far as superpowers go). Benji's ability allows him to feel how animals around him feel, and the animals can also feel how he feels. Apart from sharing feelings (both physical pain/pleasure and emotional pain/pleasure), animals seem to really like and trust Benji which is why he is always surrounded by a few. The animals somehow understand what he tells them and sometimes they listen, but not always seeing that he doesn't control them, but only asks them to do things if things need to be done.
