Fantasy The Night of the Hunt

Vampunk

sʇɐq ןooɔ ǝɥʇ ɥʇıʍ ƃuıƃuɐɥ
The year is 1871, medicine and science has made countless breakthroughs, fueled by the British Empire's colonialism London has become one of the most important centers of modern science.

Medicine, the body, corpus, it had become the subject of many scholars, always trying to cure maladies and to explore what makes us tick, what makes us...human.

Yet in its wake something terrible has been unleashed.

Was it created by the very scientists who sought to cure humanity from its flaws, was it brought into London from some far off colony, was it deliberately created as a weapon against the growing empire?

Nobody knows, all we know is that it has been spreading like the plague, infecting countless civilians and threatening to let London sink into chaos, to be swallowed whole by madness and feral instincts.

The key is blood, they crave it, they're made by it, they're attracted to it like flies to a rotting carcass.

It is transmitted by blood, it spreads through violence and insanity, entire asylums having been infected by it, the nightly streets devoid of any life as every sane person keeps themselves locked in, fearing for their lives.

The queen has thus called in an emergency meeting of the court, there has to be done something about the tainted blood threatening the very empire.

They have to be eliminated, it has to be snuffed out, destroyed, wiped off the face of the earth.

It has become the empire's common goal;

Scholars, soldiers, royals, every one trying their best to try and find a solution to the ever growing threat of losing Britain to this plague of blood.

Yes, this is loosely based on Bloodborne as I have been craving something involving Huntersm Werewolves, beasts and other night prowlers being vanquished for a while now.

The plot would revolve around our characters trying to put an end to the madness while also fighting against ever growing suspicion and the constant threat of becoming infected themselves.

Possible interest. Any set details on manner of the disease, state of the infected etc?
Let's just say that it's a highly volatile disease.

Attacking DNA and altering it to cause rather strange metamorphosis, the result of it being a variety of different mutations, no two cases seem to be the same.

Also, in terms of the psychological state of the infected.

Think rabies; irritable, crazed, highly aggressive

I'd be interested, too.
Any expectations towards the characters and players? :)
Having fun is objective numero uno, apart from that being creative

Also afraid of water? :D (sorry couldn't resist knowing the age)

I was just asking because I'm not a native speaker, so while I love detailed RPs I might have grammar mistakes I never realize... But I'm definitely interested. Most likely with a scholar or a doctor. :D

Hey no problem, I'm not a native speaker either, if people would have stopped me from participating in roleplaying I would have never gotten better at English^^

I agree, but sometimes people can be... quite opinionated about butchering their mother language. I have been turned away for not being perfect in English. I'm glad you understand!

Ooh, I like this! I'm in! But I must ask, are the infected afraid of garlic and sunlight?

Some infected are afraid of sunlight but it's due to the virus having different effects depending on the host's dna
