Lily had been watching the entire exchange from the back of the class, her eyes going back and forth between glancing up at the drama, and down at her paper upon which she was drawing on instead of writing. She didn't even really know who any of them were, much less the younger girl, but she knew their names now.


Shaking her head at her wandering mind, Lily tried to pay attention to the rest of the class, but gave up quickly and went back to drawing. The bell soon rang, and she stood and walked out with the rest of the class. Her next class wasn't for a while, so she exited the building and went outside.


The outside of the school wasn't the nicest, but there was some lawn and a bunch of trees on one side. Lily headed straight for the trees, climbed one, and started reading.

Kenzi laughed at her friend. She shook her head and nudged her gently. She could be herself with Serena. "Yeah sure come on.I am sure she appreciate the visit.Kenzi says. She plucked flowers off some grave and handed it to her friend. "Go on I can wait back if you want got a few graves to visit myself. "Kenzi says. She gave a small smile and let her friend have a moment's peace.


Kenzi visited family plot and sat outside staring in. She was left only with her annoying uncle who was drunk half the time and didn't care what she did.Kenzi sighed and wiped her eye's. She went walking along the rows and rows of head stones. She felt a bit calmer out here more relaxed. The dead couldn't judge her.

Serena smiled and shook her head at her friends actions. She accepted the flowers and agreed, "Okie Dokie! I won't be long ok, and I'm sure my grandma would appreciate the flowers Kenz. Thank you!" She bellowed out happily before running off to where her grandma now lays. She respectfully placed the flowers before the tomb before crouching down in front of it and whispering, "Hey Granny! I'm growing up huh? I published a few more books this summer and as usual I get good grades in school, I also have a amazing friend named Kenzie! She's the best and she's truthfully a friend. She sees me for me and stands up for me regardless of what may happen, and I'm gonna do the same for her. Um...and I've sort of been doing some bad things too... Lately I've been drinking more and now I'm even driving...illegally... But I'm driving safely! And I'll go and get my license in 3days! Since I'll be officially 16 then, so don't worry. Oh and there's this boy who's been doing nothing but causing me and Kenzie trouble but don't worry about that either! I'm pretty sure you saw me from all the way in heaven flip his desk. I won't let him walk all over me nor Kenzie. I'm a bit stronger now both physically and mentally so even though I miss you and even though I'm on my own I still have someone I can count on. And who knows maybe Kenzie and I can make some more friends! Ones that won't judge us, ones who will see who we really are. Bye Granny, I'll come and visit again soon ok." She croaked as tears began to roll down her cheeks. She wished that she could hear her grandmothers voice or even hug her grandmother again. She missed her and still couldn't cope with her loss. She wiped her eyes and knew that they were probably red once again. She stood up and smiled before running off to find Kenzie. When she finally found Kenzie she noticed her eyes were red too. "You cried too?" She asked already knowing the answer and giving her friend a hug.

Kenzi almost jumped at her hug. She patted her back."yeah, just some dust in my contacts. Hurts like hell."Kenzi says.She always had to play it tough."so emotional visit with the grandma then I take it."Kenzi says." You know I love hanging out with you and I am not trying to get rid of you. I think of you as a sister, but you think it's such a great Idea to be hanging out with someone like me.kinda ruin that I am a geek rep?" Kenzi says. She didn't want her friend to be a social outcast with her. That would be to cruel for Kenzi.Kenzi took out a pack of cigarettes and offered Serena one."swiped em off my uncle this morning. "She says.


Shane had been suprised by her flipping him over. He got sent to the nurse to check for any injuries. He was just dizzy was all no big deal, but that goth girl and her pet were dead meat.

Serena took Kenzie up on her offer and lit up the cigarette. She didn't smoke too often but was able to breathe it in like it was oxygen and always had a lighter. She handed Kenzie her lighter then took a few puffs of the cigarette before blowing out and watching the smoke rise up into the air. "Kenzie who gives a shit about rep. If what you said was true that we're like sisters then that means we're family. Family sticks together, that's what my grandma taught me. Unfortunately she wasn't successful in teaching that lesson to my parents but I'm better off without them. It's the same with the other kids in school. If they don't like that I'm hanging out with you then fuck them. They can rot in hell for all I care, I'm better off without them. K?" She explained before taking a few more puffs from the cigarette and repeating the cycle. She smiled and stated, "And you can't fool me when you cry. You should know by now that I won't judge. So don't think you can fool me Kenz. Your my best friend and I know I'm yours don't hold back be yourself."

Kenzi laughed. "I miss my parents. Now I live with an abusive alcoholic uncle who could care less about me."Kenzi said.she lit her cigarette easily and inhaled. She finally exhaled. And then took a few more drags."yeah I know I dont have to hide anything from you including my feelings, but I feel like one of us has to be an emotionless bitch to an unfair world."Kenzi says and inhaled one more time. She then exhaled and looked about . "Peaceful serene like my little sis over here is that why you are called Serena."Kenzi jokes with her.

Serena listened to everything Kenzie came right back at her, "Yep I'm so peaceful that when I'm extremely angry I'll punch them until blood is pouring out of their face!" She stuck out her tongue before finishing off her cigarette and dropping it to the ground. She stepped on it and crushed it before continuing, "And Kenzie if your Uncle is abusive why don't you come live with me? We can be roommates." She suggested.

Kenzi shrugs."not sure why I haven't left yet.its the whole family obligations thing."Kenzi says. She finished her cigarette and flicked the bud into the dirt. She blew out the last of her smoke."alright kiddo time to go back to Jail."Kenzi says. She grabbed for her make up bag and reapplied it to look normal again. "There no tears."Kenzi says. She smiled ans winked at Serena. Kenzi started walking back to the school.

Serena shrugged, "More like prison than jail if you ask me but whatever floats your boat." She smiled and walked back to school with Kenize. When they re-entered school property Serena stated in remembrance, "Oh I gotta go see that teacher to see if she'll still get me moved up into your grade. I'll see you later ok!" She cheered before waving with a friendly smile and running back to the teacher.


When she arrived the teacher asked if she flipped Shane's desk and Serena admitted to it, "Yes I did flip his desk but only because he kept being rude and constantly being mean to me and Kenzie after he was asked to stop. Also Kenzie did nothing wrong she stood up for me when everyone was against me making her in the right for this case. She and I only left the room to cool our heads due to Shane continuing to bother us after you gave me permission to stay in the classroom. When Kenzie stood on your desk it was only to make sure everyone was listening and finally your desk wasn't flipped on purpose, it was just a mistake." The teacher listened to the explanation and all of Serena's pros as to why Shane's desk was flipped along with hers, and why Serena left with Kenzie. The teacher gave in unable to even come back in the dispute making Serena win that case. "Alright then we can still discuss you being moved into the eleventh grade with the principal and we won't tell him about the events that happened in class today. But you must promise that you'll always get As and Bs on all assignments in my class." Serena agreed and 10 minutes later she was placed in the eleventh grade. The teacher recommend her after telling the principal that she was lost and came to the wrong class only to answer the sample chemistry questions on the board with ease. As soon as Serena got her new schedule she dashed off to find Kenzie only to bump into Eve.

Kenzi watched her go. She sighed and walked along the court yard.Kenzi had History next, she was looking at her schedule. She had chemistry, history, math, lunch, choir, free period, and English . Kenzi sighed as she walked. She had heard whispers in the hall of her freak out.


The cheerleaders passed her and bumped her."oh sorry gothica you weren't being over dramatic and screaming about god knows what." They laugh

She only ran a few more feet before crashing into Cristina and tumbling down. "Sorry Cristina. I didn't mean to run into you either I was trying to find Kenzie." After hopping back up off the ground she saw Kenzie and said, "And it seems like I found her. Hey Kenzie! Guess what!" Serena cheered excitedly with a huge smile on her face.

"Grrrr. Kenz you know I hate being treated like a kid." She complained as she crossed her arms and furrowed her brows as her lips formed a pout. She sighed and said in a slightly annoyed manner, "Anyway I got skipped into your grade and I pretty much have all the same classes as you except when you have math I have to go to trig." She remembered Cristina was still there as well so she turned to Cristina and decided to include her in their conversation, "Oh and Cristina what class do you have next? Do you have history like Kenzie and myself?" She asked ignoring Shane's presence.

Kenzi smirked at her friend. She knew that she hate being called munchkin, but it was kinda Kenzi's name for her. Kenzi turned to Shane."question answered."She says. Kenzi sighs." "Look Serena is sorry about flipping your desk and if you want to show your true self to all the teachers you will let us go."Kenzi says. He smirks" see you later." He said and walked away.

Serena glared at Kenzie for apologizing when she wasn't even sorry. "Kenz you shouldn't apologize for me especially if I don't regret it. I can take on Shane so don't worry. Also his friends are nothing but fucking punks and each and every one of them can rot in hell." As Shane walked away Serena slipped off her heeled shoe and threw it at the back of Shane's head making sure she hit him before turning to Cristina and saying, "Oh cool! So you and Kenzie are in the same math class. Right?" She asked as she picked up her shoe and slipped it back on before sashaying back over to Kenz and Cris with a smile.

"Huh? Kenzie?..." She asked seeing the dark look on Kenzie's face as the girl walked away. Serena waited until she walked a few feet before turning to Cristina and saying, "Cristina I'll catch you later unless you'd like to come with me. But I'm gonna follow Kenz and see if she's ok." Serena didn't wait for the girls response before beginning to trail Kenzie disguising herself within the sea of people in the hall.

Kenzi walked to her locker. She looked around as she grabbed her books and a bag. Kenzi walked for the exit. She rang the school calling out. She went to drop her stuff at her car, she Locke it and walked down the street. She met up with a guy and the shook hands. She nods and walks off pocketing the money she just got. She was headed for her house. Her uncle had texts her and told her to get home before he creamed her.
