Once the Queen is informed of Clarissa's mother's death she's called to the throne room for judgment. The Queen is ruling as Queen regent because there is a rule that the prince has to be 18 to take the throne Leon's birthday isn't until next month. Clarissa thinking she's called there because she killed the King tells on herself the Queen tells Kolton's father to have her head. Leon with his kind soul pleads with his mother to take her head after his child is born announcing to everyone that he has a bastard on the way. The Queen doesn't care, so Leon swears with his deceased brother and father as his witness that if she killed Clarissa before the child was born he'd take his men to Scotland and declare the act treason. The Queen argues that Clarissa LITERALLY committed treason and tells him the bastard's life doesn't matter. Leon will then orders Peyre to lock Clarissa in a cell until her pregnancy is over, and pleads that no one should listen to a queen who doesn't even interact with her people. They begin to argue and Leon asks her how it feels to have lost all four of her children and tells her, he hopes her short-lived reign is nice because when he takes the throne he'll ship her off to the first man that offers. Forward the child unfortunately that isn't a boy is born and Clarissa won't even hold her. Clarissa then begs Leon to allow her to give him a son he looks at her with disgust and simply tells her only a monster wouldn't love a child because of its gender and that he would honor his father by having her executed. Leon then asks Kolton's father to give her a swift death. As she approaches the guillotine she swears that she won't allow the child or any future children of Leons to know peace then, her head rolls into the crowd... Their daughter will have nightmares and be told of how her mother didn't want her and the horrible things she did however, Leon will pretty much always let her know she is loved and equal.

Aline would be envious of Clarissa's child, she knows she's her half-sister, she gets much more attention. Which is why she'll probably feel more lonely once she is born.

this is quite a unique family. quite a contrast to irina's. sure there are fights and arguments, and affairs that like the entire world knows abt, but they're still a very tight knit family.
