Realistic or Modern The Men of Verdun

[Menacing Melon]

The Shells have been falling for days on the WW1 french front. You and your squadmates have seen many go off to assault the germans... but little return, if any. Until that day finally comes, you are tasked with going to ambush a german artillery encampment, many think it's a suicide mission. You gather your rifle, your helmet, and start to walk along the battlefield with your squadmates, hoping you will make it to the end, and return in one piece.


This is a WW1 rp, it will most likely be incredibly gruesome and dark in how it's told, as WW1 was a disgustingly violent war. You would be roleplaying as french soldiers during the battle of Verdun, tasked with aking out a german artillery encampment, but the main challenge is getting there when you have a 3 day walk to get there.

A Few Notes

• Some, if not most characters WILL Die, I'm not saying all of them will.
  
• This is WW1, not everyone was a super soldier and carried around experimental machine guns. You are playing as people, not just as combatants. This Rp will be following a lot of the emotions and issues the soldiers deal with along the way to the encampment, like running low on food, or encountering dug in german soldiers along the way.
  
• As much as I like female characters, Women in WW1 were minimal, so if we already have 1-2 female characters, please consider just making a guy
  
• Even though we are the french military, we don't have to RP in french (This should be obvious but whatever)

I actually remember doing a battle of Verdun RP from the opposite side as a German, was fun in the sense that it was really gritty and put me on the edge of my seat. Also yay for making more suicide charges!
