Day 1

Mayberry High school

7:15

Mr. Whyte's Classroom

Meeting the students.

Mr. Whyte walks up to the door of his room, ready to start the new year here at Mayberry. Summer was so fun, the cruise to the caribbean and the party he went to. He unlocked his door and took in the breathe of the classroom. He set his things down on his desk and got all of the schedules for his homeroom students ready.

7:45

The bell would ring for the students to come to class at 8:00, He was ready to see his new homeroom students and ready for the long day ahead.

(Start by posting how you get to school and once I get everyones I'll make the bell ring)

@GinjaGen @Kiotaro @Xionist Let's do this!!! :)

Beep beep beep beep!
Jane groaned, her alarm clock being her number one enemy in the mornings. It woke her up at 7:00am, her least favorite time to get up. She groaned again and slammed the alarm off, rising up to an upright position in bed. She stretched her arms wide, releasing all the energy of her sleep as she let out a huge yawn. Today was her first day of school, a high school student...freshman year...she was excited. She literally hopped out of bed that morning, jumping to her feet and beginning to get ready. By 7:15 she was already dressed, wearing a white t shirt with black hipster glasses on it, the frames of the glasses on her chest, accompanied by a pair of basic skinny jeans and her converse. She straightened her hair, did not dabble in makeup, it wasn't her cup of tea...plus she hated makeup. She grabbed her purse, which was really a Witcher 3 bag she got from E3, a gaming convention held every year.

She threw a notebook, pencil, pen, candy bar, her 3DS and her phone in the bag, leaving her backpack behind for today since she most likely wouldn't need it, her teachers would tell her what supplies to bring, taking today as an intro day. She looked in the mirror, smiling brightly and ready to take on the day. By 7:30, she had a pop tart in hand, kissed her mom goodbye, and headed out to the bus stop, getting picked up soon after. She arrived at Mayberry High at around 7:45, where she got off the bus and pulled her schedule from her pocket.

Mr. Whyte, room 204, 1st period. She read mentally. Jane nodded to herself and waisted no time in finding his classroom. (Co-grade class, we'll all have it together! xD )

Lee woke up at exactly 6:52 and readied himself to on his morning jog of three miles. He dressed himself in a pair if gray sweatpants and a gray sweatshirt that read, "Abercrombie" on it. He left his room and took out a sticky note from a drawer in his kitchen. He wrote, "Out on a jog. Be back at 30." In Chinese. He slapped the note on the refrigerator and was out the door. He thought about his first day of his sophomore year and thought about his plans. "Get girlfriend. Straight A's. Be a cool kid. Don't get made fun of. Learn how to play drums." He turned around at a red house and was on his way back home. When reached his house he checked his watch and it said 7:26. He was early and he couldn't help but smirk. He entered his house. His brother wasn't awake yet. He got undressed and took a two minute shower, yes that is possible. When he finished he put on a horizontally striped gray shirt and some dark jeans perfectly fit to him. He grabbed his schedule and read, "Mr. Whyte. Room 204. First period." He shoved his schedule along with other school supplies in his backpack. It was black and gray. His favorite colors. He went to he garage and got out his bike. He checked his watch. 7:39. "Wooh. That wa slow today." He joked to himself. He opened his garage and slowly rode out his bicycle and closed the garage behind him. He hopped on his bike and starte peddling as fast as he could. He passed all of his favorite things. Trees. Trees and more trees. They were beautiful to him. Nearly thirteen minutes later he was at his school and inside looking for room 204. He had searched nearly the entire school before he found it and he stoppedin front of the doors, sighing and saying, "Well there is no turnig back now." He entered the room and saw his teacher. He went up to him and said, "Hello. I am Lee Sin. You must be Mr. Whyte. Pleasure to meet you." He put his right hand into a fist and his left hand flat and made them meet at his palm and knuckles. He bowed down to show respect.

Marcus' morning started out with him rolling off the side of the couch he slept on at seven thirty in the morning. The fall would not have been so bad if it weren't for the trash that littered nearly every square inch of the apartment's floor with the majority of the trash being empty glass bottles that used to house various types of alcohol. Whatever didn't make it into a trash bag ended up on the floor of the cramped one bedroom apartment that Marcus and his father lived in. He groaned as he checked his watch and noticed that he had overslept and cursed his father for not telling him that the electricity bill was past due.

"Alright, what are we wearing today?"

Rummaging through the small pile of clothing he kept in a corner of the room, Marcus pulled out his clothing at random while making note that he would need to visit the laundromat after school today. It had taken him hardly even a minute to toss some clothing on, grab his bag, and head out the door without a single thought of waking his good for nothing father. The apartment complex Marcus lived in was fortunately not too far from his high school, Mayberry High School, although that didn't stop it from being one of the most run down places you've ever seen. As Marcus made his way down to ground level he could hear his fellow neighbors as they started their usual morning rituals. These varied from silencing crying babies, shouting at each other, and getting ready to work all day just to afford to pay rent and possibly eat later. Stepping outside, Marcus took a deep breath of the fresh city morning air. Which, compared to the stagnate air of the apartment behind him, was a blessing handed to him by the heavens.

It was seven fifty-two in the morning by the time Marcus had arrived on school grounds. The students around him all grouped up in their various cliques. There were the football jocks that hung out by the gym until the very last minute before the bell. Preps and their lackeys swarmed in groups in the hallways often causing blockades that guaranteed to add a minute or two onto your arrival time. Then there were the less fortunate. Those who were meek and not at all popular who were often targets by people like him who were often referred to as "no good punks who'll go nowhere in life". One such punk was making a fuss at the school's front doors. A senior by the name of Kyle Sarks of which he was pushing around a small freshman, and causing a rather large backup as students stopped to watch the event unfold.

"Come on you little shit stain. Didn't you get the memo? You need to pay the toll if you want to pass through these doors."

"I'm not paying you shit. That's bullshit and you know it!"

The boy was putting up a valiant effort despite the obvious signs of him being easily overpowered by the thick necked bull that was Kyle. Shaking his head with a sigh Marcus crouched low and kicked off into a sprint as he charged through the crowd. Upon entering the small clearing that Kyle and the freshman stood in Marcus lept and smashed Kyle into the door with a drop kick.

"Get out of the doorway you jackass!" Marcus shouted as he picked himself back up, earning many stares from the students that were crowded around. After dragging Kyle's dazed body out of the way and deflecting the freshman's many thanks and gift offers Marcus finally made it into his homeroom class. He was just in time too as there was just a few minutes before the bell rang. Nodding to Mr. Whyte in greeting, Macus sat down heavily at a desk in the front and dropped his near empty schoolbag carelessly on the ground next to him.

"Wassup Whyte. I see we have a new face here." He said glancing over at the freshman in the room while blatantly ignoring the looks of his fellow homeroom classmates.

Mr. Whyte smiles as the students enter. This chinese looking boy walked up to him and extended his hand. 'Lee Sin'. He would be perfect for the job. Mr. WHyte Extended his hand and grabbed Lee's as he stood up. "Nice to meet you Lee Sin. You may have a seat anywhere you would like." Another student entered. Marcus. This was his 3rd year in his class. "Ah hello there Marcus. Ready to take my class for the third, and hopefully final time?" Mr. Whyte chuckled and sat down making sure all of his papers were in order. The clock read 7:55. Five more minutes until the new year begins. Five more minutes until He met the rest of the squad. Mr. Whyte reached his hand subtly under his desk and pushed a long black and white staff farther underneath so no one could see.

Jane got lost. Mayberry was a big school, bigger than she anticipated. Mr. Whyte's class now had a good number of kids in it, minus herself (and @GinjaGen when she returns xD ). The bell rang. She took one turn too many in the halls, making an impossible task out of finding room 204. "C'mon, Jane...if you can build an exact replica of the Normandy from Mass Effect, you can find a classroom." She told herself. After a few moments of searching, she at least found the hallway where 204 was located. She sighed with relief. She stumbled to the door and let herself in. She greeted Mr. Whyte with a smile, "Sorry I'm a tad late. I got lost." She said shyly and quietly...the class was mostly full of upperclassmen, maybe only 2 other freshman in there? Yikes.

(I may have confused myself Xionist, however I think I followed your instruction in the OOC post lol)

Sara woke up at approximately 4:30 am, as she did almost every morning to head over to the pool. It was simply a part of life now for her, she didn't even consider how odd it would seem to others that she got up so early. She was basically incapable of sleeping in a this point, so she figured she might as well put her time to good use in the morning. She would swim for about an hour, and then head over to whatever sports practice she had during the current time of the year.

After practice she headed into the locker room, showered and then prepared for the day. As she braided her hair, she glanced herself over, making sure she was acceptable. She heard two girls a few feet away discussing their excitement about it being their final year. This reminded Sara that it was hers as well. It was her last year. She was almost done. She smiled at herself in the mirror. This year would be special. She could feel it.

Then she caught sight of the clock in the mirror and her eyes bugged out. She was going to be late if she didn't leave now. She stuffed her various sports items in her locker, grabbed her backpack and ran out of the locker room. She sprinted down the halls with agility and precision, knowing exactly where she was trying to go. Sara had been at the school for three full years now, and had no problem finding the class room.

Sara stopped outside the room, recovering from the sprint through the building, and glanced down at her list of classes just to quiet the little voice in the back of her mind that was worried she was standing outside the wrong room. Convincing herself she was correct, Sara slipped into class just in time, her hair still a bit more damp that she would have liked it, but then again, it was so dark it was likely no one could tell. She slid into her seat, pulling her books out of her bag and organizing them neatly on the table. She'd bought them months ahead of time, guessing what she would need, ready for almost anything the teacher could throw at her on the first day. Almost anything.

The students pilled into the room and took there seats. This one girl had just made it. Perfect timing. Mr. Whyte stood up and walked to the front of the room. "Good morning students. Welcome to Mayberry high for the 3 freshmen, and to the older students returning welcome back. Here at Mayberry we are not too known on the map but we are a very great school. This class right now is Homeroom and I am Mr. Whyte. I teach Science. Some of you may come back to me later in the day. But others will not. Any questions?" Mr. Whyte smiled to th room.

Jane raised her hand, nervously. "Uh...question, sir. Last year in 8th grade, we didn't have a homeroom. What goes on here? You said you teach science...which means this might be a scie--I'll shut up now." She put her hand down, face on her desk. She embarrassed herself. Mentally scolding herself, usually she liked that sort of comic relief...but now she wasn't too thrilled. What a first impression for the freshman.

Mr. Whyte chuckled and picked up some papers from his desk and answered the girl as he passed them out. "Well every morning before you go to class you come here to homeroom. In the mornings we will talk about any upcoming school events and to take attendance to see who showed up for the day. I take it you're Jane Romano. The only female freshmen in this homeroom?"

Sara watched the freshman girl as she began to ask questions. She remembered those days, trying to figure out high school. Sara smiled to herself. She was again reminded that this was her last year, the end, and how excited she was. She did feel a bit bad for the girl when she stopped suddenly and put her head down. Questions were good, as far as Sara was concerned.

She lifted her head. "Yes sir, that's me. Jane Romano, freshman and socially awkward brunette." She said, more confidence, a humorous tone to her voice. She smiled at the teacher, already taking a liking to him. Her cheeks were still a bit red, but at least her nerves were calm.

Mr. Whyte sensed the other girl on the other side of the room. "Ahh ms. Malik I didn't realize you would be in my homeroom this year. Ready to graduate this year? You will graduate..right? " He smiled because he knew that Saraswati Malik was a very smart student. He continued to hand out the papers. They were just basic rules of the school.

Jane looked over the paper after she was handed one. She nodded as she mentally read it, basically knowing all of the rules already since school rules were the same everywhere. She giggled softly to herself at rule number 11: No sexual activity permitted in restrooms, classrooms, or hallways. Jane was mature for a 15 year old, but she wanted to die laughing. She was soothed by a quick breeze of fresh air coming in from the open window. The air made her feel...right.

Sara chuckled a bit at the freshman's comment. She wanted to encourage her to be herself, and also she was entertaining. Then the teacher's attention turned to her and she practically stood at attention, if you could stand at attention in a chair. Actually hearing the teacher's comment, she relaxed a bit and smiled, taking the paper from the teacher, "That's the plan." She said.

Mr. Whyte smiled and Sara. He heads back to the front after handing the rules out. He heads back to his desk and gets another stack. "These students are your schedules for the year. Study and remember them. And if you have my class. If you're late make sure you bring me a soda then I'll let you slide." Mr. Whyte laughs and begins to hand out the schedules by calling each persons name. "Jane...Sara...Marcus...and Lee"

@Xionist @Kiotaro

Jane chuckled slightly. She took her schedule from Mr. Whyte followed by a "thank you". A quiet one, but still there. She had Mr. Whyte 3rd period for science. Knowing her, she'd get lost again, so she may as well bring in a 12-pack of soda for him to excuse her for the nest few days. She quietly reviewed her schedule, looking at all her other classes, taking note on where they are.

As the rest of the late arrivals slowly started to fill in Marcus decided to lean back in his chair and close his eyes for a few minutes reprieve. He wasn't actually asleep, but the feeling of just having his eyes closed and relaxing felt invigorating enough after only getting just a few hours sleep. He would have gotten more sleep if it weren't for the fact that he was working the night shift at the AMPM gas station. Marcus sat back up straight as Mr. Whyte began to address the homeroom class and pass around the school syllabus which listed various information about the school and its rules. Without even bothering to read the syllabus Marcus folded it up and pocketed it before turning his attention to one of the new freshmen, a female by the name of Jane Romano, who had begun to speak up and ask Mr. Whyte what the homeroom was about. Well she attempted to before the usual freshmen anxiety kicked in and she fell silent immediately.

"Oh lookie what we have here." Marcus said quietly to himself as he noticed a familiar face sitting not too far from Jane. It was Sara Malik the girl Marcus often referred to as 'Little Miss Perfect' due to her knack of getting to the top of the charts in just about everything in Mayberry. Their paths first crossed when Sara took part in the Track team in which she was quick to climb up the time leader board. Marcus would have enjoyed having such a girl on the team if it weren't for her tendency to judge quickly and her knack for being the biggest 'know-it-all' on the planet. Marcus returned his attention back to the front of the classroom as Mr. Whyte began passing out schedules. Grabbing his when his name was called out Marcus quickly scanned through the list of classes. Nothing stood out too much as the majority of the list was just typical Junior classes such as Pre-Calculus, English, and History. One of his electives that he made sure to always take was Weight Training, and he was pleased to see it on his list down in the fifth period slot.

"Hey, hey Whyte. Looks like I got ya for Chem. I'll be seein' ya soon then, eh?"

((I figured as a Science Teacher he would also teach Chemistry. Oh, GinjaGen I hope you don't mind that little history tidbit I put in about Sara. It would make sense that Marcus and Sara would cross paths eventually at multiple times given that they're both upperclassmen. Especially since Marcus is a part of a sports team and Sara is damn good at sports, haha.))

Sara accepted her schedule with a thank you and smile, only to hear Marcus's response. Her head whipped around, her eyes narrowing just a bit as she recognized him. He was on the track team as far as she remembered. He had always looked so... unkempt. Sara understood that. She didn't look put together all the time, especially after practice, but somehow he always looked... off.

It didn't help that he was a bit... rough around the edges with other students. She shook her head, trying to drive away the thoughts. She shouldn't judge people. She knew that had always been one of her problems, so she had recently been trying to change that.

((@Xionist I love that idea! Also, I'm here! :D ))
