Okay then. Btw, let's start before they knew each other.

~Lace Everheart~

Lace watched the city from the top of the building. The light glistened in the moonlight and the market place was crowded and busy. She listened closely, hearing not a sound of dismay. Satisfied, she headed for the next town. But as she flew she felt a chill. Something dark, very dark was nearby. Too close for comfort.

Tahi Kadar

Tahi stood on the roof of a building, silently observing the inhabitants and their doings below him. After watching for a few moments and seeing that everything was as it should be, he took off running across the rooftop and jumped off the edge into the shadow of the alley below. In an instant, he was transported across town onto another rooftop. But, something was off here. Above him, he could sense a presence much to light to ignore. Tahi looked up and flying above him was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. She seemed to glow in the moonlight, her wings were so bright. Tahi grimaced. An angel was the last thing he wanted to encounter tonight.

~Lace Everheart~

Lace used her hands to lift to powerful trees from the earth and came lower, to his level. A demon. she thought hearing his dark thoughts from the rooftops. She turned around and saw his dark form on the roof. She walked through the air till her feet touched the roof. With the trees at her sides she said, "State your business." even though her voice sounded like the harps of heaven there was a firmness in her voice.

Tahi Kadar

Tahi stared at the angel in front of him impassively. He unconsciously shifted his weight and moved one foot back into a defensive position. All the while, the shadows grew and darkened behind him. "Passing through," he stated with an quiet undercurrent of annoyance and hostility. "Is that a problem?"

~Lace Everheart~

"Not unless your planning to murder someone." she said letting her defenses go down a bit, but her her senses remained alert. "Who are you?" she asked looking at him curiously, no matter how dangerous it was to ask so simply.

Tahi eyed the angel warily, the shadows behind him still writing and growing in anticipation of a fight. "Who I am and why I am here is none of your business," he said with a hint of a growl. "Unless," his eyes took on a preditory gleam. "I had a show of faith. Give me your name, and I will give you mine."

~Lace Everheart~

"Lace Everheart. But those who know me call me Lacey." she responded quickly and without hesitation, not scared of the demon standing in front of her. She had seen worst things from hell than him. "Now, your name, please." she asked politely this time.

"Tahi Kadar." He responded. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Everheart." He looked down at the angel, his eyes displaying little emotion. "Now may I go on my way, and you yours?"

~Lace Everheart~

"If that is what you wish, I will not stand in your way. Although, I am intrigued. It is not often a creature from heaven and hell stand face to face." she said looking at him with a gentle gaze.

Tahi Kadar

"I believe that it is for good reason." He said, yet did not move to leave. The shadows behind him receded immensely and Tahi dropped his defensive stance, choosing instead to stand with his arms crossed casually in front of him. "Why is an angel so interested in the doings of a demon?"

~Lace Everheart~

"Well I'm interested in the doings of anyone and everyone. But I can't ask them because they're too mesmerized by my "beauty" to even register what I'm talking about. A demon has the instinct to hate a angel, but is willing to listen to them before they at least try to kill them." she said as if he was her science fair project.

Tahi Kadar

"Glad to be of interest." Tahi looked down at the angel. "And is that how this meeting is going to end, me attempting to kill you, or you attempting to rid the world of my 'unclean presence'?"
