No Man's Sky

Within the Depths of a Dream
I just gotta say, if you heard of this game then you know what lofty goals it's trying to achieve. If not? Go on over to google and give it a search. I mean, the concept looks amazing on paper, and initially hearing about it I was extremely excited...but then I got smashed in the face with reality and realized the potential horror of watching it in actual execution. My opinion? It's gonna fail, be a Destiny clone, or they're going to release something totally opposite of what's been shown.

Thoughts? Opinions? I wanna know.

It's...experimental. Nothing like this has ever been done before. I'm preordering it because I'd have it like an itch until I got it.

It is a bit frightening. Hopefully it does what it shows.

I want to give it a try, but I'd like to watch someone else play first. It ain't cheap, and if its going to be something I play once and never again, it won't be worth it. That said, I'm excited to see it in action.

I'll be giving it a go. I've been anticipating No Man's Sky since its first announcement and video teasers. While it's not "friend friendly" seeing as the vastness of space in the game could mean you might never meet another player, being able to freely explore worlds where the AI has created it's own creatures and enviroment fascinates me.

Have you not seen some of the earlier videos the developers released showcasing the game features? Because it seems that they are going to deliver a crazy sandbox.

I'm going to buy it the day it comes out for ps4 it's going to keep me busy. I like the feeling of being alone in space while witnessing the beauty of space its self.

The embargo broke and it's reception has been fairly divisive from what I've seen.

All I really want is a world to wander aimlessly in. My expectations are fairly low. Might purchase it when my new PC gets here next week.

I heard it takes 15-20 hours to reach the center of the universe, which people are taking to mean they've "beaten the game". I feel they're missing the point, similar to the Ground Zeroes review fiasco. Speedrunning the first mission does not mean you've really beaten it when you're ignoring a large majority of the content in the process.
